The healing effects of horse riding have been known for a long time. These qualities were already recognized in ancient times - Hippocrates believed that riding a horse stimulates the functioning of the body, while Socrates noticed its impact on the exercise of the body and senses. In turn, Avicenna considered horse riding to be an excellent exercise for the body. In the sixteenth century, doctors confirmed the beneficial effects of horse riding, considering it useful for health. In 1750, Francisco Fuller mentioned horse riding in the first study of sports medicine, noticing its impact on the state of mind and human body (Bednarczyk 2015). The horse played a huge role in human life, and the nature of this relationship has changed over the years. The subject of the article focuses on the equestrian sport, which therapeutic effect takes place through the constant dialogue between the rider and the horse. This relationship is manifested in a special relationship of man and animal, which has an emotional character. The phenomenon of this interaction was presented in the Amazon narrative, which through riding and communing with these animals, has found a new dimension of life. The research was embedded in qualitative orientation, which allowed to understand a fragment of the narrator's reality and her experience of everyday life.

Abstract: Equestrian sport or horse riding is very popular because not only for sports or hobby, but also for entertainment. The performance racehorse of the is largely determined by the suitability of the characteristics of horseshoes material with horse's hooves. This paper describes the identification of materials and heat treatment process of horseshoe made in local and imported products. Previous publication suggests that horseshoe made in foreign countries provides better performance than domestic products, especially in terms of flexibility of horse motion, durability, speed, and lifetime. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research that emphasizes the observation of material characteristics, manufacturing and heat treatment process as a first step towards the substitution of imported products. A number of observations have been made on the two types of products:macro and micro observations, heat treatment process analyzes that have been subjected to materials, and mechanical testing. From the test results obtained that imported horseshoe material is low carbon steel with of 0.08 %, while carbon content for local product is 0.17%. Thus, both from the material side and from the side of manufacturing, including heat treatment process, local horseshoe products still need to be developed.

This article theorizes child-horse relations and explores the role of care therein. The existing body of research on human-animal relationships in the context of equestrian sport and leisure has for the most part eschewed children’s narratives. Drawn from a wider project on British Indian children’s everyday leisure, this article presents a case study of a child engaged in horse riding as a structured leisure activity. Using interview data with the child and her parents, the analysis demonstrates that child-equine care relationships are reciprocal and unfold within a wider set of social relationships or what I call “multispecies generational order.”

The system solutions in the field of horse riding technique appeared for the first time in Italy in the 16th century, but at the same time equestrian academies also functioned in other countries, e.g. Austria, France, Germany and Russia. They formed the horse riding system which was based on such movements that horse never performs in its natural habitat. Therefore, according to the methodology research, applicable in historical and pedagogical sciences, an attempt was made to determine stages of the Art of Horsemanship on the European continent. In the research process, it was established that the horse riding style that had been being practiced for several centuries, was not changed until the late 19th century. The revolutionary changes, based on years of observation and experience, were made by Captain Federico Caprilli of the Military Equestrian School in Pinerolo (Italy). The result of his observations accepeted in 1906 was an innovative horse riding system called natural. A great numer of officers from 22 countries were coming to Italy at that time to learn the new system. As it was very practical, it became quickly adapted by equestrian sport.

Abstract This paper studies the public-private management of the modalities of the collective transportation system of the city of Rio de Janeiro in the last thirty years. That is, it investigates the patrimonial practices and their contradictions that permeate the processes of concessions and privatisations, which are sometimes marked by the realisation of urban territorial domains and the extraction of monopoly incomes, in order to hinder universal mobility. Thus, a dialogue is developed between the critical perspective of urban studies and Brazilian social thought, in order to encompass the spatial totality, to unveil the invisible mechanisms of the distant order, and to bring the specificities of the Brazilian political and economic conjunctures. In this sense, we are expensive, on the one hand, the concepts of patrimonialism and social formation in authors like Weber (2004) and Faoro (1993, 2001); and, on the other hand, the concepts of space production, urban entrepreneurship and urban mobility. Also, in methodological terms, the research has used bibliographical and documentary surveys, an examination of bids, and analysis of the reports of the Parliamentary Commissions of Inquiry (CPI) of Barges and Transport / Buses. Keywords: Urban Mobility, Neoliberalism, Patrimonialism.

Abstract. This study aims to examine the effect of affect on satisfaction, both at the between- and the within-person level for momentary assessments. Affect is regarded as an important source of information for life satisfaction judgments. This affective effect on satisfaction is well established at the dispositional level, while at the within-person level it is heavily under-researched. This is true especially for momentary assessments. In this experience sampling study both mood and satisfaction scales were administered five times a day for 7 days via hand-held devices ( N = 74 with 2,122 assessments). Several hierarchical linear models were fitted to the data. Even though the amount of between-person variance was relatively low, both positive and negative affect had substantial effects on momentary satisfaction on the between- and the within-person level as well. The within-person effects of affect on satisfaction appear to be more pronounced than the between-person ones. At the momentary level, the amount of between-person variance is lower than in studies with longer time-frames. The affect-related effects on satisfaction possibly have a curvilinear relationship with the time-frame used, increasing in intensity up to a point and then decreasing again. Such a relationship suggests that, at the momentary level, satisfaction might behave in a more stochastic manner, allowing for transient events/data which are not necessarily affect-related to affect it.
