MENJADI ISTRI DIPLOMAT: HURUSTIATI SOEBANDRIO DALAM MEMBENTUK CITRA INDONESIA DI INGGRIS 1947-1954

In the history of Indonesian diplomacy, there have been several outstanding diplomat figures who have made achievements, such as Soebandrio. Then, it is important to realize that the success of Soebandrio in connecting Indonesia with the world when he was in London and Moscow; and his role in various significant state missions cannot be apart from his wife’s role, Hurustiati Soebandrio. During Soebandrio’s career, Hurustiati’s diplomatic role began when her husband became the Indonesian Ambassador in London, at least from 1947 to 1954. During that time, Hurustiati took part in various efforts to build a good image of Indonesia to support the implementation of foreign policy. This study focuses on examining the role of Hurustiati Soebandrio as a wife of a diplomat from 1947 to 1954. Therefore, the study aims to present the role of women as diplomatic wives in the writing of the history of Indonesian diplomacy. In general, it also aims to encourage the writing of a history of diplomacy that pays attention to the role of women. This study employed the historical method by placing archives, magazines, and newspapers as primary sources. The study shows three images of Indonesia that Hurustiati formed in London, namely Indonesia as an independent country, a country that try to reach gender equality, and a multicultural county. To achieve these three images, Hurustiati made various efforts, such as giving official lectures, holding talks with diplomatic officials and their wives, and initiating exhibitions.

What Makes a Good Image? Airbnb Demand Analytics Leveraging Interpretable Image Features

We study how Airbnb property demand changed after the acquisition of verified images (taken by Airbnb’s photographers) and explore what makes a good image for an Airbnb property. Using deep learning and difference-in-difference analyses on an Airbnb panel data set spanning 7,423 properties over 16 months, we find that properties with verified images had 8.98% higher occupancy than properties without verified images (images taken by the host). To explore what constitutes a good image for an Airbnb property, we quantify 12 human-interpretable image attributes that pertain to three artistic aspects—composition, color, and the figure-ground relationship—and we find systematic differences between the verified and unverified images. We also predict the relationship between each of the 12 attributes and property demand, and we find that most of the correlations are significant and in the theorized direction. Our results provide actionable insights for both Airbnb photographers and amateur host photographers who wish to optimize their images. Our findings contribute to and bridge the literature on photography and marketing (e.g., staging), which often either ignores the demand side (photography) or does not systematically characterize the images (marketing). Utilization of Public Relations Program in Educating the Millennials About Papua-Indonesia Separatism Issue

The issue of Papuan-Indonesian separatism is not new in Indonesia, and this has become the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' concentration to deal with. In this case the project planners believe that there is a humanitarian and dignified perspective that needs to be improved by the government. Therefore, the measure needs a Public Relations approach as an effort to support government programs in overcoming the issue of Papua-Indonesia separatism. The method employed in this research is to use strategic planning public relations by Ronald Smith, which consists of 9 steps in 4 phases. The concepts used in this project are Public Relations, Online PR, Social Media, and Event Design. By approaching PR through social media programs and events, the project planners claimed to be able to approach millennials to shape their awareness of Papua, so they have a good image of Papua. This will have an impact on the spread of positive Papuan issues on social media, which was dominated with negative issues regarding separatism. The success of the program will be evaluated by the number of participants involved in the event, social media followers, and positive news spread on social media.

Analisis Sistem Pembiayaan Akad Qardhul Hasan Di BMT Al-Amanah Cabang Subang

The Qardhul Hasan financing at BMT Al-Amanah Subang was not surveyed again, because the Qardhul Hasan survey had been carried out at the beginning of the members doing previous financing such as Mudharabah, Murabahah, Musyarakah, and Rahn financing, because Qarhdul Hasan financing is a conversion from the previous contract. Qardhul Hasan financing has certain categories for financing the needs of members such as education costs, medical expenses, and so on. The purpose of this study was to determine the terms and conditions of financing Qardhul Hasan at BMT Al-Amanah Subang Branch; To find out the Qardhul Hasan contract financing system at BMT Al-Amanah Subang Branch; and To find out the benefits of the Qardhul Hasan Agreement for members and managers of BMT Al-Amanah Subang Branch. The results of this study 1). The terms and conditions of Qardhul Hasan financing at BMT Al-Amanah Subang Branch do not use collateral on the condition that they must become members of BMT Al-Amanah, and members are no longer able to pay installments of previous contract financing that have matured; 2. Qardhul Hasan Financing System at BMT Al-Amanah Subang Branch, namely: a). For members of BMT Al-Amanah who are active members by having principal and mandatory savings, b). For members who already have financing, which is past due, but have difficulty paying the financing installments, BMT Al-Amanah converts the contract into Qardhul Hasan; 3). The benefits of Qardhul hasan for members and managers are: a). For members, it is very helpful for members who are having difficulty paying installments and as a source of non-commercial loans / bailout funds, b). For managers, namely because Qardhul Hasan financing is social and please help it will give a good image for BMT Al-Amanah Subang Branch.

Morphogenesis Analysis for Digital Image Production with L-System

The process of forming an image requires a correct color composition, location and distance between the lines to produce a good image. Human abilities in both creativity and high imagination are very limited, especially in forming new images by utilizing existing image patterns or images that resemble old images. Here we showed the implementation of L-System to generate new image generations with additional flame as a fire effect/glow on images for image transformation. This research used the L-System algorithm, Iterated Function System, and Voronoi Diagram to improve the result of image transformation. The results of this study indicated that mathematical calculations can be applied in the formation of images and the resulting images can be abstract and symmetrical. The next generation of images produced in this research can be in unlimited numbers as the generation of morphogenesis processes. The process of generating images is carried out randomly by merging the two existing images with morphogenesis analogy. The resulting images can be exported into jpg, png, and svg formats. Furthermore, this research showed that the implementation of the calculation for the variation reach the value of 99.48% while the image variation composition has a value of 99.29%.

THE EMPIRICAL REVIEW ON THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT, MOTIVATION AND SOCIAL ATTRIBUTES ON CAREER PERFORMANCE IN OMAN

A strategically effective, hygienic, and healthy environment ensures bringing satisfaction among the employees while a drab, challenging, and competitive atmosphere leaves a seriously poor impact on the employees. At different times, employees are required to face a number of challenges, both operational and organizations where they are essentially expected to invest their best knowledge, skills, and experience, However, in a poorly developed atmosphere an employee basically refuses to invest his or her abilities which ultimately creates challenges for the organization. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to evaluate the effects of the working environment, motivation and social factors on career performance in Oman. The study used online empirical recourses by the name of working environment, motivation and social factors and career performance in different online database sources such as Google Scholars, Springer Link, Wiley, Science Direct, JSTOR, Emerald full text, Scopus, and EBSCO HOST, etc. The review findings summarized that maintaining a sophistically impressive working environment basically helps an organization to maintain a good image before the pool of skilled candidates in the market and helping it to acquire the best talents. Moreover, the study also concluded that the majority of the organizations across the globe are focusing on maintaining an effective working atmosphere to keep the employees more engaged to the organization than that of the other and it has a significant role in the comprehensive development of the organization. The findings of the study draw a guideline for future scope of empirical indebt study in the area of the career performance in Oman and the regions.

The feasibility and safety of disposable endoscope vs. conventional endoscope for upper gastrointestinal tract examination: a multicenter, randomized, parallel, non-inferiority trial

Background A disposable upper gastrointestinal endoscope can effectively decrease infectious outbreaks associated with endoscope reuse. In the present study, we aimed to evaluate the feasibility and safety of a disposable endoscope for upper gastrointestinal examination. Methods In a prospective, randomized trial, 144 upper endoscopic procedures were allocated to either the disposable endoscope group or the conventional endoscope group. The primary outcomes were rates of excellent and good image qualities and maneuverability satisfaction. The second outcome included procedure duration, endoscopic diagnosis, and adverse events. Results A total of 144 subjects were enrolled in the present analysis and prospectively randomized to 2 study groups. Finally, 70 and 69 subjects were enrolled in the novel disposable endoscope group and the conventional endoscope group, respectively, due to the schedule cancellation of 5 subjects. The baseline characteristics of the patients were similar in both groups. The excellent and good image quality rates and maneuverability satisfaction of the novel disposable endoscope were not inferior to the conventional endoscope (p = 0.99 and p = 0.99, respectively). Moreover, no significant between-group difference was observed in the endoscopic results and adverse events (p = 0.30 and p = 1, respectively). However, the procedure duration in the novel disposable endoscope was longer compared with the conventional endoscope (8.40 ± 4.28 min vs. 5.12 ± 2.65 min, p < 0.001). Conclusions The novel disposable endoscope was as safe, effective, and maneuverable as a conventional endoscope. However, the novel disposable endoscope was associated with a longer procedure duration.

Studi Tentang Keamanan Dan Keselamatan Pengunjung Hubungannya Dengan Citra Destinasi (Studi Kasus Gembira Loka Zoo)

Image is one of the essential elements for a tourist destination and a description of the impression of a tourist destination. A good image will motivate tourists to visit a destination. The research uses Gembira Loka Zoo as an object. The purpose of this research was to identify the factors related to the image of a destination, especially in the management of the security and safety of visitors conducted by travel managers Gembira Loka Zoo. The method used in this research related to the security and safety of visitors is descriptive Research is Descriptive to investigate population and samples. The population is tourists who visit Gembira Loka Zoo and the samples are 100 respondents. In addition, researchers also conduct observation, Questionnaires and documentation in the data collection. The analysis technique used there are several steps that include the instrument of accession test, validity, reliability, hypothesis, coefficient of determination and F test and T. The result showed a Gembira Loka Zoo has a good image of tourist mind and the result showed a significant correlation between Gembira Loka Zoo Image and tourist visiting motivation. With this research is expected that manager can improve all of the aspects of Gembira Loka Zoo so it can be motivate tourist to visit
