E-Learning has been used as one of media that is used in the online-based learning process. Regarding to the fact about social media utilization by students, ideas are generated by adopting interactions from social media. Social media had proven able to attract various users, such as students. Utilization of mobile-based device, improve student's interest to use social media. Based on those facts, this study aims to design the interaction which is adopted from social media, named Diskusi-Belajar. There are two fundamental behind the reasons choosing social media as subject. First, social media had been proven able to attract users to communicate each other interactively. Second, social media has intuitive flow of interaction and interface which making it easier to be used. In this study, elements of the social media were converted into interaction design of Diskusi-Belajar. Interaction design is produced on mobile-based platform. In order to ensure usability quality, ten principles of the Nielsen's design are used as a guideline. Five evaluators are involved to measure interaction design and generated three times iterations. Conclusions of the study is, although not all Nielsen's design principles are accommodated, the elements which  are generated from previous studies have succesfully implemented in Diskusi-Belajar and produce good usability.

Towards Understanding Collaborative Learning in the Social Media Environment‘Social media’, ‘Web 2.0’, ‘collaborative learning’ and user co-creation are just some of the terms that describe changes in the role of information and communication technology (ICT) in business, private life and society. The changing face of ICT has finally brought about the fulfilment of the term ‘Information Society’ and made an important impact on many fields of research, including collaborative learning. The effective use of ICT in support of group collaboration has been researched and discussed. The effectiveness was attributed to systematically organized and facilitated processes. Nevertheless, the results are not always better when group support systems (GSS) are used in comparison to face-to-face work. In contrast to the well-organized GSS-supported learning process, the social media environment is non-structured, rule-free and even chaotic. In this paper, we research the possibilities of eliciting group knowledge in the group-learning process in a social media environment. A total of 24 students assigned into three groups participated in the three-week long study. Their task was to solve a given research topic by solely using an unfamiliar social media environment and to present their findings after three weeks. Students were observed in their natural learning environment (school, home, the Flowr virtual environment), and their attitudes on collaborative work using social media tools were measured with a questionnaire at the end of the study. The results suggest that non-structured social media environment stimulates self-management of the group. Some insights into trust, motivation and conflicts in the collaborative problem solving are discussed.

Nowadays, E-learning is one of the most inevitable technique and learning approach, because it offers indispensable advancement of the education process. Furthermore, it supports and enhances many facets of the learning process. This study aimed to build an attitude scale about e-learning among Isra University students according to the item response theory (IRT) in measurement. To achieve the study’s objectives, the main dimensions of the scale were identified, and 44 items were unevenly formatted. The tool was applied to 550 students who were social media users at Isra University. After analyzing the participants’ responses according to IRT, the final form of the scale consisted of 29 items that were divided into three main dimensions. The reliability of the scale was 0.94%, while the scale had multiple indications of validation.

In this paper, we believed that social tag is a new paradigm of resource organizing and sharing. It is a very suitable technology using in e-learning systems. We discussed with the learning process in the e-learning system based on social tags. We brought forward a new individual learning process model based on social tags. And we compared with the new learning process model and traditional process model. The new individual learning process model could improve the interaction between learners and between human and computers. The social tags could help the e-learning system build the learners preference model and knowledge model.

This paper aims at two things; first, see the participants' interest if learning is carried out with e-learning. Second, how the impact of the use of social media and reward point methods on the improvement in evaluation of learning outcome. The method used is a survey and experiment. The survey is used to find out whether the reward point and/or social media method will affect employee motivation in e-learning process. Experiments are used to see the impact of the use of both methods on selected samples. The sample used was employees of PT PJB Services located in Head Office and selected by purposive technique. Data analysis used ANOVA Test to measure whether the treatment had a significant effect on the dependent variable. This paper is expected to prove that learning, especially studied in this paper, that combined with these both methods will affect positively to employee learning motivation and support the improvement of learning outcome. The results obtained are e-learning with reward points and posting the learning process on Instagram significantly increase employee motivation in learning. In this chapter, the author explores the culturally responsive approach of contextualizing learning using the social media trend, going live, as a metaphor. Literature has demonstrated that culturally responsive educators approach the teaching and learning process by situating learning in the context of children's lives. The author demonstrates how educators' beliefs about content knowledge shapes their teaching approach and curriculum activities. The author makes the case that culturally responsive educators, also known as Green Thumb Educators, connect classroom learning to learning in the community and engage students in problem-solving. The author demonstrates, how culturally relevant educators approach learning by capturing the voices of their students through dialogic exchanges fostered by providing students with opportunities to “read” (interpret) and respond to their lived experiences and worldviews.
