As the rapid development of communication industry, especially the 5G communication and IOT, there will be plenty of electromagnetic (EM) waves in the free space, which carry lots of energies. However, some of these energies are wasted in free space. To reuse these wasted energies, significantly growing interests are towards to the energy harvesting antennas. This paper is aimed to investigate a wearable antenna which can transfer RF energy from ambient sources to direct current by a soft and portable textile antenna. Among the numerous signals in mobile network, the GSM 1800, 3G, WiFi and 4G/5G will be chosen due to the city signal intensity distribution. Hence, a corresponding triple bands antenna has been designed to cover those frequency bands. The CST STUDIO SUITE is used in whole process of antenna design and simulation. The proposed antenna is a hooked dipole antenna with tuning bar (HATB) whose ends have small folded part in each side for better bandwidth performance. The presented antenna provides a wide operating band from 1.8 GHz to 2.5 GHz below -10 dB in return loss. And methods to overcome interference between antennas is found. Furthermore, using the corresponding rectifier to achieve the RF/DC conversion. The overall efficiency of whole rectifier is about 56.8 %, and output power level of the antenna system is 45.92nW. The experimental results could indicate that my textile hooked antenna harvester is a good choice for the charging system of personal wearable attachment, which could achieve low power absorbing for long distance anytime and anywhere.

Abstract: This study shows an easy and effective design of an optical fiber communication system, which demonstrates EDFA's ideal position in the whole system. In recent years, erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs) have been more attentive with the development of high-speed and long-distance data transmission systems. In our research, EDFA's forward pump capacity is maintained at 100mW, and our three configurations modify and analyze the location of EDFA. First configuration is meant to place EDFA before optical fiber in the entire system. The second arrangement has been intended such that EDFA will precede optical fiber. EDFA is inserted in the third configuration between the optical fiber length. For the three setups, the BER, Q factor and output power level were observed, with the setup one having minimal BER, setup two with the greatest power, and setup three with the maximum Q factor. This paper discusses the causes behind these results and designers may construct an optical fiber communication system in the most efficient and reliable fashion by taking those results into consideration. With the rapid development of artificial intelligence and fifth-generation mobile network technologies, automatic instrument reading has become an increasingly important topic for intelligent sensors in smart cities. We propose a full pipeline to automatically read watermeters based on a single image, using deep learning methods to provide new technical support for an intelligent water meter reading. To handle the various challenging environments where watermeters reside, our pipeline disentangled the task into individual subtasks based on the structures of typical watermeters. These subtasks include component localization, orientation alignment, spatial layout guidance reading, and regression-based pointer reading. The devised algorithms for orientation alignment and spatial layout guidance are tailored to improve the robustness of our neural network. We also collect images of watermeters in real scenes and build a dataset for training and evaluation. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method even under challenging environments with varying lighting, occlusions, and different orientations. Thanks to the lightweight algorithms adopted in our pipeline, the system can be easily deployed and fully automated.

AbstractThis paper has simulated the pump laser automatic signal control for erbium-doped fiber amplifier gain, noise figure, and output spectral power. Signal gain and noise figure are deeply studied in relation to laser pump power variations at operating pumping wavelengths of 980 nm and 1,480 nm for previous and proposed models. Similar to the study of the light signal to noise ratio, output power level and maximum Q factor are also simulated versus EDFA amplifier length at pumping power of 500 mW and different pumping wavelength by using the proposed model. The obtained results are better by using a pumping wavelength of 1,480 nm than a pumping wavelength of 980 nm. The optimum EDFA amplifier is 5 m, which gives better performance than other amplifier lengths.

<p>E-commerce has a rapid development with the advent of the Internet era, the era of “Internet +” also let many industries to find new opportunities. Now online shopping has become a mainstream to meet the needs of people’s life, especially in the developed cities, more and more people are willing to buy all sorts of goods in e - Bay, Amazon, Sunning, JD and other large e-commerce enterprises. Business enterprise needs to deliver intact goods quickly to customers to improve customers’ intention of purchasing. So the development of e-commerce and express industry is closely linked. The end of the city logistics needs to contact with consumers directly as the last part of the whole process in normal logistics distribution, which may occur some problems about the damage of goods, slow information feedback, service quality and other issues will reduce the satisfaction of consumers and affect reputation of companies. This article use ISM technology to analyze the influencing factors of the logistics of the ecommerce enterprise from the perspective of consumers, and divide all of the factors into three levels, each level contains different meanings which make a reference for the trend of development of the end of city logistics distribution. </p>

The rapid development of the Chinese economy over the past several decades has stimulated new interest in the institutions, practices, and social formations that supported the development of business in China before the intensification of pressure from Western traders to conform to “modern” practices in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. This article aims to provide a foundation for understanding merchant practice as it developed during the important years of market expansion during the last Chinese dynasty and to dispel some of the enduring myths about the Chinese merchant, his relationship to family, community, and the state, and the ideological constraints on his activities. To that end I examine several aspects of late imperial merchant culture, beginning with the everyday practices that allowed business to flourish in the Qing, turning next to the large social formations through which long-distance merchants in particular identified and pursued their interests, and ending with some preliminary thoughts on the impact of the laissez-faire policies of the last dynasty and their implications for post-Imperial China.

AbstractIn this work, an experimental analysis of the performance of different types of quasi-randomly distributed reflectors inscribed into a single-mode fiber as a sensing mirror is presented. These artificially-controlled backscattering fiber reflectors are used in short linear cavity fiber lasers. In particular, laser emission and sensor application features are analyzed when employing optical tapered fibers, micro-drilled optical fibers and 50 μm-waist or 100 μm-waist micro-drilled tapered fibers (MDTF). Single-wavelength laser with an output power level of about 8.2 dBm and an optical signal-to-noise ratio of 45 dB were measured when employing a 50 μm-waist micro-drilled tapered optical fiber. The achieved temperature sensitivities were similar to those of FBGs; however, the strain sensitivity improved more than one order of magnitude in comparison with FBG sensors, attaining slope sensitivities as good as 18.1 pm/με when using a 50 μm-waist MDTF as distributed reflector.

Light has already becomes a popular means of communication, and the high-bandwidth data into free space without the use of wires. A great idea took us to design a new system for transmitting sound through free space at (650, 532) nm wavelengths using reflective mirrors under different atmospheric conditions. The study showed us the effect of various weather factors (temperature, wind speed and humidity) on these wavelengths for different distances. As well as studying the attenuation caused by long-distance laser and beam divergence, A reflective dish was used to focus the spot of the laser beam on the photocell. Results were discussed under the effect of these factors and the attenuation resulting from the beam divergence. Thus, the system performance can be improved for range and the quantity transfer data by increasing transmitted power and reducing the divergence of the laser beam.

In the last years several V-SLAM(Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) approaches have appeared showing impressive reconstructions of the world. However these maps are built with far more than the required information. This limitation comes from the whole process of each key-frame. In this paper we present for the first time a mapping method based on the LOOK UP TABLE(LUT) for visual SLAM that can improve the mapping effectively. As this method relies on extracting features in each cell divided from image, it can get the pose of camera that is more representative of the whole key-frame. The tracking direction of key-frames is obtained by counting the number of parallax directions of feature points. LUT stored all mapping needs the number of cell corresponding to the tracking direction which can reduce the redundant information in the key-frame, and is more efficient to mapping. The result shows that a better map with less noise is build using less than one-third of the time. We believe that the capacity of LUT efficiently building maps makes it a good choice for the community to investigate in the scene reconstruction problems.
