It was correlational quantitative method. The population were 222 elementary school teachers of first to sixth grade and the samples were 144 teachers. Data collection techniques used questionnaire. The prerequisite test used linearity and normality tests. Data analysis used a simple correlation test and adjusted R square. The results showed that there was positive correlation between pedagogical competence and classroom management skill. The correlation value was 0,335 and it indicated as moderate correlation. Pedagogical competence contributed 11.2% on classroom management skill. High pedagogical competence was closely related to how teachers: understanding student characteristics, understanding theories and learning principles, developing curriculum, presenting enlightened learning, developing student potency, having good communication to students, and conducting evaluations and assessments measuring the success of learning process. We examined a training program in classroom management in relation to the efficacy beliefs of elementary school teachers. The training program used a quasi-experimental design with a waitlist control group. Twenty-seven elementary school teachers in the greater Quebec City area participated. The repeated measures ANOVA results revealed positive effect of the program on teachers’ personal teaching efficacy beliefs, and in the teachers’ perceived self-efficacy in managing difficult behaviours in the classroom. A group by time interaction effect was also observed with regard to the teachers’ perceived self-efficacy in eliciting principals’ support where participating teachers were more confident in their interactions with principals at follow-up. Factors that influence the development of self-efficacy beliefs of teachers and implications for practice are discussed.

The aims of this study are to (1) determine the level of mathematics anxiety (MA) of pre-service elementary school teachers, (2) compare the MA among pre-service elementary school teachers in terms of gender, and (3) compare the MA among pre-service elementary school teachers in terms of the semester. This research employed a quantitative approach with comparative research design. In addition, the samples were 498 pre-service elementary school teachers. The instrument used is the Revised-Mathematics Anxiety Survey (R-MANX) developed by Bursal and Paznokas (2006). R-MANX consists of 30 statement of a 5-point Likert scale. The data analysis was processed using one-way ANOVA assisted by SPSS version 23. The findings reveal that the MA of pre-service elementary school teachers is high. Further, it is revealed that there is no significant MA difference between male and female pre-service elementary school teachers. Also, there is no significance of MA difference among pre-service elementary school teachers who are in 2nd semester, 4th semester, and 6th semester. Therefore, the results of this research imply that MA can affect pedagogical competence of a teacher and it could have an impact on the way the teacher manages the class.

Samples in this study were 124 teachers, taken by proportional random sampling method. Data collection used questionnaires. The data analysis was conducted on the descriptive analysis, linearity and multicollinearity test, multiple regression analysis, partial correlation analysis, and donations predictors include effective contribution and relative contribution. The results showed that the educator qualifications, mastery of ICT and academic supervision simultaneously have a very significant positive influence to the ability of teachers in classroom management. It means that if educator qualifications, mastery of ICT, and academic supervision become better, the ability of teachers to manage the classroom will become better too.
