The profession of migrant workers in some cases bring the person concerned to get the treasures expected success, but not rarely contain a number of risks that need to get the attention of government authorities. A number of problems that might be experienced when Indonesian Labor not available works. Therefore it takes a model economic empowerment for the labor of Indonesia, when he returned to his country was able to survive and improve the well-being of himself and of his family. This research aims to know the role of zakah's institution towards the empowerment of Indonesia's labor and to devise appropriate empowerment model for Indonesian Workforce by Institution of Zakah. Data analysis was done with a qualitative approach. Analytical techniques in the study will be conducted with qualitative analysis approach, a case study of eksplanation to explain how the empowerment model right for Indonesia in Labor Studies. Based on the data and the results of the analysis that has been done can be known that Dompet Dhuafa  has role in Indonesia Workforce empowerment. The empowerment Model implemented by Dompet Dhuafa form the Groove program that may help the former workforce of Indonesia after plunging back to life in his native region. Former Indonesian workforce empowerment meant to monitor and nurture the entrepreneurial activities are continuously carried out by former Indonesian labor so that it can be a permanent effort.

The purpose of the study was to find out the title role of Pesantren believer Cooperative Mandiri Sidoarjo towards economic empowerment and independence employee boarding schools. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach to the case study method. Data collection was carried out by interviews and direct observation to informants, namely those in charge of pesantren, cooperative and cooperative employees (santri). And secondary data collection comes from journals, text books and other literature. The result of this study is the Mukmin Mandiri Pesantren Cooperative plays a major role in enhancing the empowerment of cooperative employees (santri) and playing an optimal role in supporting the independence of the cottage. The economic empowerment of pesantren employees conducted by the Mukmin Mandiri Pesantren Cooperative is by making the Cooperative a work field, a place to apply knowledge and a place to increase income. As for the independence of the cottage, that is to become the main source of funding for Islamic boarding schools in carrying out operations and the sustainability of Islamic boarding schools. Going forward, the Cooperative will further optimize the empowerment of union employees (santri) to print better students in the field of entrepreneurship and religion.Keywords: Cooperative Boarding School, Economic Empowerment, Independence of Islamic Boarding Schools

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran pondok pesantren An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat sekitarnya, ditinjau dari perspektif ekonomi islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan strategi studi kasus. Teknik analisis dengan mendasarkan pada preposisi teoritis, yaitu mengikuti preposisi teoritis yang menuntun studi kasus. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber, yaitu menguji kredibilitas data yang telah diperoleh dengan mengeceknya melalui beberapa sumber. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Pondok Pesantern An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo memiliki amal-amal usaha diantaranya usaha berupa SPBU, koperasi pondok pesantren, bengkel, Bank Wakaf Mikro dan juga budidaya perikanan. Amal-amal usaha tersebut menjadikan Pondok pesantren An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo ini bisa memberdayakan ekonomi masyarakat sekitar dengan merekrut masyarakat sekitar untuk dijadikan karyawan dari beberapa amal usaha yang dimiliki pondok pesantren, Pondok pesantren An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo juga membuka peminjaman dana (tanpa agunan dan bunga) di Bank Wakaf Mikro milik pondok pesantren bagi masyarakat yang ingin membuka usaha sendiri atau ada keperluan lain. Pondok pesantren An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo juga melakukan pendistribusian tahunan berupa parcel saat Idul fitri dan juga hasil qurban saat Idul adha. Pondok pesantren An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo juga membuka kerjasama dengan para masyarakat seperti disediakan stan untuk masyarakat yang ingin berjualan saat pondok pesantren mengadakan bazaar atau acara pengajian umum, masyarakat sekitar juga bisa bekerja sama dengan pihak pondok pesantren seperti menitipkan barang dagangannya ke pihak pondok pesantren (menitipkan di kantin & koperasi pondok pesantren);Kata Kunci: pondok pesantren, pemberdayaan ekonomi, masyarakat sekitar, ekonomi Islam ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the role of the An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo Islamic boarding school in the economic empowerment of the surrounding community, from an Islamic economic perspective. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study strategy. The analysis technique is based on theoretical prepositions, namely following theoretical prepositions that guide case studies. The data validity technique uses the source triangulation technique, which is to test the credibility of the data that has been obtained by checking it through several sources. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that the An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo Islamic Boarding School has business charities including business in the form of gas stations, Islamic boarding school cooperatives, workshops, Micro Waqf Bank and fisheries cultivation. These charitable efforts have enabled the An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo Islamic boarding school to empower the economy of the surrounding community by recruiting local people to become employees of several charitable businesses owned by the Islamic boarding school. (without collateral and interest) in the Micro Waqf Bank belonging to the Islamic boarding school for people who want to open their own business or have other needs. Pondok Pesantren An-Nur II Al-Murtadlo also distributes annual parcels during Eid al-Fitr and also qurban results during Eid al-adha. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran LAZISMU dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat Surabaya melalui pendistribusian zakat, infaq, dan sedekah pada masa pandemi covid-19. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus. Informan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari pengurus LAZISMU Surabaya dan anggota program UMKM BMW yang menerima pinjaman modal pada masa pandemi covid-19. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada masa pandemi covid-19 LAZISMU Surabaya berhasil memberdayakan ekonomi masyarakat Surabaya melalui program UMKM BMW di mana keberhasilan pemberdayaan ekonomi LAZISMU Surabaya diukur dengan indikator pembelian kebutuhan pokok, kebutuhan tambahan, pendidikan, kesehatan, jaminan ekonomi, kepedulian sosial dan ibadah. Kata Kunci: Pemberdayaan, Pendistribusian, Zakat, infaq, Sedekah, Covid-19. ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the role of LAZISMU in the economic empowerment of Surabaya people through the distribution of zakat, infaq, and shadaqah during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research approach used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. The informants in this study consisted of LAZISMU Surabaya administrators and members of the BMW MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) program who received capital loans during the covid-19 pandemic. The data was collected by means of observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results showed that during the covid-19 pandemic LAZISMU Surabaya succeeded in empowering the economy of Surabaya community through the BMW MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) program where the success of LAZISMU Surabaya's economic empowerment was measured by indicators of necessities purchase, additional needs, education, health, economic security, social care and religious activity.Keywords: Role, Empowerment, Distribution, Zakat Infaq Alms, Covid-19.

International migration is usually motivated by economic reasons. However, many people also migrate overseas to continue studies in higher-level education. This paper analyses the role of Indonesian students abroad, especially those who are members of the Indonesian Student Association (PPI) in protecting Indonesian workers (TKI). The research is focused on PPI in the country with the highest number of Indonesian migrant workers, namely Malaysia. This study applied a qualitative approach to collect primary and secondary data. Primary data was collected through interviews, and secondary data was gained through literature review. The research shows that PPI, as an agent of change, has a role in protecting migrant workers. The PPI has various kinds of contributions such as expressing ideas and discourses to protect international migrant workers, becoming a mediator (in solving conflicts involving the workers), facilitating shelter, providing repatriation assistance, legal assistance and advocacy, as well as economic empowerment and education activities for migrant workers and their families.

Dolly localization is the largest prostitution area in Southeast Asia, located in Putat Jaya, Sawahan District, Surabaya City. On June 18 2014 the official Dolly localization was closed. After Dolly's closure, the Gerakan Menulis Harapan (GMH) had an extraordinary role of importance to help former commercial sex workers and affected citizens restore the economy in a halal manner with an economic empowerment model. This article aims to analyze the economic empowerment model carried out by GMH on the Community in Putat Jaya Village, Surabaya City. The method used in this article is a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The conclusion of this article is the empowerment of the creative economy through the Guidance program of GMH Surabaya in doing stakeholder synergy with various parties, namely the media, government and donors, as well as the people of Surabaya, especially members of the fostered GMH. To run the GMH coaching program, it receives financial assistance from donors where to carry out economic empowerment through various activities, namely assistance, training and marketing.

The cooperation of sharia microfinance institutions that have a role and function of the build and develop potential and economic ability members in particular and the society in general to improve the economic and social welfare. The aim of this research is to find out the role of cooperation sharia financial services in economic empowerment of its members. The approach that is used is qualitative approach by case study as a strategy. In the technique of data collection using the techniques of interview directly to the related objects. This research indicated that the cooperative savings and financing sharia convenient Muamalah Berkah Sejahtera Surabaya has a role in the economic empowerment members through financial products by offering the financing products, with various desired model by its members and the most important thing is that these products are using the contract according to the Islamic Law.

Background: Men who develop behaviors connected with the model of hegemonic masculinity present several health problems. Previous research has shown the types of problems that men commonly suffer in this regard such as chronic diseases, dietary disorders, and traffic accidents. To combat and overcome this situation, several campaigns, policies and recommendations have been undertaken, and consequently, their influence has been analyzed. However, there have been few investigations into the role of men’s friendship in the reduction of these physical health problems. The findings presented in this article are focused on this issue, illustrating the impact of male friendship on the shaping of healthy behaviors. Methods: Drawing upon a qualitative-based methodology articulated in a case study of the Men in Dialogue association, located in Spain, the study has followed the premises of the communicative approach, a total of 15 structured online open-ended questionnaires have been performed and analyzed. The median age of the participants is 37.5 years. Results: The findings show how men involved in Men in Dialogue are promoting a kind of masculine friendship that is improving men’s emotional well-being and, consequently, their physical health.

This paper departs from the issue of the hidden curriculum that occurred during the last 10 years. Hidden curriculum is the practice of school education that contributes to education. Previous studies discuss the role of the state, the role of the school and the teacher's role in the practice of hidden curriculum separately.While in this paper, the researchers wanted to demonstrate the practice of hidden curriculum in a comprehensive manner by using thought Henry Giroux. This research is a case study with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted in 2019 by conducting in-depth interviews, observation and documents. The findings in this study (1) there is a contestation of values ​​due to differences in ideology trustees and teachers that are implemented in the practice of hidden curriculum, (2) The practice of hidden curriculum is done by the board of trustees behind the development of a formal curriculum, and carried out by the teacher to maintain the old identity through daily practices, (3) impacted on the delay on student achievement, because it is generally the practice of hidden curriculum support the practice of the formal curriculum, but the opposite what happened.. advice in this study is need to agree and trust between the board of trustees and school teachers in order to get maximum achievement.

This study aims to describe Sufistic-based Kiai leadership's role in shaping Santri character at the Pesantren Nurul Jadid Paiton Probolinggo. This research is a case study qualitative approach, with Kiai as the subject. We collected data using interview, documentation, and observation techniques, then analyzed using reduction techniques, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the Sufistic-based Kiai's leadership had an essential role in fostering the character of the Santri. The study results indicate that the Sufistic-based Kiai leadership has a vital role in promoting the surface of the Santri. Kiai is a person who gives influence in building character with Uswah (Modelling). This study also found that the factors that influence low morale are that Santri has a common understanding of the latest technological developments. In Sufistic-based leadership, there are four things that a leader must possess: 1) The Tawasuth, 2) The nature of I'tidal, 3) The Tawazun, and 4) The Tasamuh.

This research aims to test the role of zakat to reduce poverty in the East Java period 2015-2017 by using the index that was recently developed, Basic Needs Deficiency Index. The research method used is qualitative approach with case study strategy. This research formulated BNDI index to measure the deficiency and effectiveness of zakat in resolving poverty. Data required is the total population that its income was below the poverty line in every city of East Java, and also total zakat, which was distributed by BAZNAS East Java in every city of East Java. The results obtained from the BNDI calculation have been able to explain the effectiveness of zakat for reducing poverty and inequality in East Java. The result of calculation, which was a high value or approaching value 1, explains that zakat that was distributed by BAZNAS East Java is not effective in reducing poverty in East Java. Furthermore, the result of this research shows that some cities had the highest BNDI and lowest BNDI as well. Hopefully, this result could be considered to use by the policymaker to improve the effectiveness of zakat in reducing poverty.Keywords: Zakat, Poverty, Basic Needs Deficiency Index (BNDI)
