Dolly localization is the largest prostitution area in Southeast Asia, located in Putat Jaya, Sawahan District, Surabaya City. On June 18 2014 the official Dolly localization was closed. After Dolly's closure, the Gerakan Menulis Harapan (GMH) had an extraordinary role of importance to help former commercial sex workers and affected citizens restore the economy in a halal manner with an economic empowerment model. This article aims to analyze the economic empowerment model carried out by GMH on the Community in Putat Jaya Village, Surabaya City. The method used in this article is a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The conclusion of this article is the empowerment of the creative economy through the Guidance program of GMH Surabaya in doing stakeholder synergy with various parties, namely the media, government and donors, as well as the people of Surabaya, especially members of the fostered GMH. To run the GMH coaching program, it receives financial assistance from donors where to carry out economic empowerment through various activities, namely assistance, training and marketing.

This study aims to determine the management of Lake Napangga tourism objects in Kepenghuluan Tanjung Medan, Rokan Hilir Regency, which contributes to the economy of the surrounding community. Lake Napangga is one of the lakes located in the Rokan Hilir area which has promising tourism potential if managed properly. Therefore, the role of BUMDes as the manager of Lake Napangga should be able to become a spirit in developing this lake tourism object to empower the economy of the village community, but the management of this tourist attraction is not only influenced by the seasonal agenda but also the Coronavirus Disease pandemic that emerged in 2020 This study choosing the type of qualitative research with a case study approach, where data collection is done by observation and interviews. After the data and information are obtained, it will be analyzed in depth with triangulation techniques. The results of this study found that the management of Lake Napangga tourism objects has not run optimally by the BUMDes in this case due to the inconsistency in the number of tourists visiting Lake Napangga, the inconsistent seasonal agenda, the lack of promotional activities and the COVID-19 Pandemic that appeared regularly. Suddenly disrupting the sources of income for people who depend on this Lake Napangga tourist attraction. This reality is what makes community economic empowerment in order to increase income still not running optimally. And aspects of sustainability in this case are needed to develop the tourism potential of Lake Napangga in the face of unforeseen conditions, in this case COVID-19 becomes an example of problems that must be faced in order to run the economy of the community and maximize the management of potential tourist attractions.

<p><em>This study aims to determine the implementation of the UPPKS program, the role of UPPKS cadres, the supporting components of the UPPKS program and obstacles in family economic empowerment activities through the UPPKS program in Sukorejo Village, Saradan, Madiun. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data sources used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection is done by observation, interviews and documentation. The validity of the data uses source triangulation. The results show, (1) The implementation of family economic empowerment through the UPPKS program in Sukorejo Village runs quite well in savings and loan activities. (2) The role of UPPKS cadres in Sukorejo Village is as facilitators in conveying what their members want to the UPPKS program organizers. (3) Supporting components in the implementation of UPPKS activities in Sukorejo Village are Village Village, Saradan PLKB, and BKKBN. (4) Obstacles in the process of family economic empowerment through the UPPKS program in Sukorejo Village, namely the existence of members who are less active in the activities of UPPKS groups and members who move domiciles, so that UPPKS members are reduced.</em></p>

Abstract:This article discusses the role of the media in Nigeria's Fourth Republic between 1999 and 2003. Employing a case study approach, it highlights as well as analyzes the media's role in insisting on accountability and decency in Nigeria's notoriously corrupt public life. The media's crusade ran against the country's geopolitical divisions and revived the debate on the national question as well as the media's own morality. The article draws on both primary and secondary data to examine the media's role in an emergent democracy.

Purpose of the study: The aim of this study is to examine the role of special autonomy funds in poverty reduction in Aceh and to find out how to deal with poverty in Aceh and what obstacles are faced by Aceh Government. Methodology: This research used a qualitative method with a case study approach to provide a detailed explanation and exploitation. Research data obtained through interviews and data obtained also through local and national online media and the media data were analyzed using Nvivo 12 Plus, specifically by using the NCapture feature, which allows researchers to systematically compile and analyze documents. Main Findings: This study found that the implementation of poverty reduction programs and policies is still in the form of false participation due to low transparency and accountability and economic dependence on other regions outside Aceh and the small number of medium and large industries in Aceh. Applications of this study: The findings of this study are useful for exploration by the Aceh Government in order to maximize the role of special autonomy funds in poverty alleviation efforts in Aceh. Novelty/Originality of this study: Research on the Aceh Special Independence Fund has been widely explained by a number of researchers. However, there is no publication that specifically explains the role of special self-government funds to reduce poverty. Consequently, the use of accountable and transparent special autonomy funds can reduce poverty in Aceh.

The profession of migrant workers in some cases bring the person concerned to get the treasures expected success, but not rarely contain a number of risks that need to get the attention of government authorities. A number of problems that might be experienced when Indonesian Labor not available works. Therefore it takes a model economic empowerment for the labor of Indonesia, when he returned to his country was able to survive and improve the well-being of himself and of his family. This research aims to know the role of zakah's institution towards the empowerment of Indonesia's labor and to devise appropriate empowerment model for Indonesian Workforce by Institution of Zakah. Data analysis was done with a qualitative approach. Analytical techniques in the study will be conducted with qualitative analysis approach, a case study of eksplanation to explain how the empowerment model right for Indonesia in Labor Studies. Based on the data and the results of the analysis that has been done can be known that Dompet Dhuafa  has role in Indonesia Workforce empowerment. The empowerment Model implemented by Dompet Dhuafa form the Groove program that may help the former workforce of Indonesia after plunging back to life in his native region. Former Indonesian workforce empowerment meant to monitor and nurture the entrepreneurial activities are continuously carried out by former Indonesian labor so that it can be a permanent effort.

English language institutes make various empowerment efforts to encourage community participation so they have the ability to achieve a prosperous standard of living. Empowerment efforts undertaken by English language course institutions in Pelem Village have made the community aware of the potential, have the ability to access welfare and change existing barriers. The description is the main attraction to examine how efforts to empower the community through social service institutions English courses in the Village of Pelem, Pare District, Kediri Regency. The purpose of this research is to find out, describe and analyze efforts to empower the community through social service institutions of English courses in Pelem Village, Pare District, Kediri Regency. This research uses a case study approach with qualitative research type. The technique of determining the informant using the subjectivity of researchers and the technique of determining the location using purposive.Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data display and verification. The results showed that the role of the course institutions could improve the welfare of the people of Pelem Village.Keywords: Empowerment Efforts, Institutions and community

For those who have entered the productive age and are able to work, without high education and business capital, the possible work will be to open employment opportunities in the micro business sector. The role of the small business in practice is constrained by several things, one of which is the problem of capital. This research aims to find out how the role of Baitul Maal Wat Tamt BMT Pinar Bersinar Utama Surabaya towards the economic empowerment of small traders in the Pucang Market Surabaya. The research method used is a qualitative case study approach using data collection techniques carried out by interviews and direct observation to the object of research. The results of this study are Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil has played a role in increasing the business of small traders in the Pucang Market in Surabaya. Supplementary iron tablet coverage does not necessarily reflect the success of the program whenviewed from the current high rate of anemia. The low compliance of pregnant women inconsuming iron supplements is one of the causes of the prevalence of anemia is still high. It occursin the working area of ​​ Health Center II Kembaran. Compliance with pregnant women can befurther improved if the midwife is able to provide nutrition counseling, especially about thebenefits of iron tablets and the health of pregnant women. The purpose of this study is to analyzethe extent of the role of midwives in efforts to prevent anemia. The design of this study usesqualitative methods with a case study approach. Determination of informants is done by PurposiveSampling. Data collection is done by in-depth interviews, field observations and document review.The results of this study Midwives have provided health education to pregnant women abouttablets plus blood (TTD or iron tablet) but have not used the media and have given thesesupplements a minimum of 90 tablets but supervision of the compliance of pregnant women hasnot been maximized. The existence of a favorite place is a public space that has an important role in the development of villages in urban areas. In the city of Denpasar there are many kampung-kampung (kampung-kampung: a community) that have many favorite places, where the existence of favorite places itself has quality with various facilities. This study aims to determine the quality of people's favorite places in the neighborhood. This study aims to determine the quality of people's favorite places in their neighborhood. The focus of the problem raised is places that are considered favorite by the people in their neighborhood and how the quality of physical object facilities, non-physical object facilities and infrastructure facilities at the favorite places. The research method used is a qualitative method, with a case study approach, the technique for collecting research data is through interview techniques, where the speakers come from people who live in Kepaon Islamic Kampung, Pemogan, Denpasar, asked to write on a piece of paper the places that people consider favorite according to their feelings, this writing technique aims to avoid the occurrence of the expression of feelings towards a favorite place between one resource person with another resource person. This research shows that there are many favorite places in the area of Kampung Islam, Kepaon, Pemogan, Denpasar, but favorite places that have quality with good facilities that are chosen by many people in their neighborhoods such as; Al-Muhajirin Kepaon Mosque, Sungai Taman Pancing Tukad Badung, Kertha Boga Market. The role of the community as well as the government is able to care for and maintain the quality of these favorite places, so that the community is guyub (guyub: close-knit interaction) to live in the area.  Index Terms— favorite places, community, neighborhood

Zakat has been widely described as a tool of income distribution. Not with standing of the potential of zakat in Indonesia and Malaysia, however, there are some issues in zakat institutions. This study aims to analyze institutional program of collecting zakat in reaching Maqashid Sharia and also to identify the issues over the program conducted by the Selangor and DKI Zakat institutions. This study conducted a case study approach which involved two Zakat institutions in two different countries; Lembaga Zakat Selangor in Malaysia and Badan Amil Zakat Infaq and Sadaqah in Indonesia. Zakat Institution should be the leading institution in economic empowerment of society by using Maqashid Sharia as benchmark indicator to design zakat distribution program. This study found that LZS has fulfilled all aspects of maqashid ShariaSharia in zakat distribution program while BAZIS DKI meet three aspects of maqashid Sharia namely hifdzu ad-din, hifdzu an-nafs and hifdzu an-nasl. It is acknowledged that the zakat institutions have made many improvements, there are still few issues that need to be highlighted to meet the needs of the society. The following recommendations are given to empower and enhance the role of zakat particularly in accomplishing the objectives of the Sharia.
