Abstract BackgroundThe aim of this study is to evaluate effectiveness of ISUOG (International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology) basic training curse in Chinese sonographer, which has not been reported yet. MethodsISUOG basic training course includes 30 lectures and was held in 3 days in 2019 in Beijing, China. We included the questionnaires answered by the trainees both before and after the course in each day. There were 9 lectures presented in the first day, 12 in the second and 9 in the last. The theoretical tests were provided by ISUOG, including 22, 21 and 21 multiple-choice questions respectively in 3 days. Pre and post-training theoretical test scores were compared by Wilcoxon singned-rank test. The changes of the theoretical test scores and the rates of “very satisfied” and “very useful” from trainees of different professional titles were compared by Wilcoxon singned-rank test and Chi-square test.ResultsQuestionnaires from 481 trainees who have experience of ultrasonic scan in Ob/Gyn and also had done the survey both before and after course were collected, with 274 in the first day, 94 in the second and 113 in the last. The differences of the correct-answer-number got from the before-test and after-test were with statistically significance(all P-values <0.05). The trainees who got better scores after the training were 219(79.9%), 73(77.7%) and 82(72.6%) in each day, and the changes of scores were without significant difference between doctors of different titles( all P-values >0.05). After every day’s training, the rates as “very satisfied” evaluated by trainees were 81.4%, 87.2% and 91.1% respectively, and the rates as “very useful” were 80.3%, 88.3% and 91.2%. The rate of “very useful” evaluated by trainees of primary title was higher than that of high title, with P-values of 0.01.ConclusionOur results indicated that ISUOG basic training course in China got good feedback and could assist Chinese sonographers in some degree.

This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of picture in storybook reading to increase kindness in children. This research involved 31 children aged 5-6 years; they were taken from the kindergarten in Bandung as the participants. The intervention was done by reading eight picture books in eight days. The kindness was measured using a measurement instrument created by the researcher, in the form of nine coloured cards that described the behaviour of kindness. The measurement was also done by seeing through the kindness tree and observation sheets that filled out by the teacher. The data analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed-rank test shows a significant difference in the average score of kindness (p<0,05) before and after picture storybook reading. Two weeks after the intervention, the improvement on all kindness behaviours with the post-test score is greater than pre-test score that still can be found. Observation through kindness tree and observational sheets shows the same result.

AIM: This study aims to evaluate the effect of adjuvant chemotherapy on estradiol levels in patients with HER 2-overexpression breast cancer in a developing country. METHODS: This comparative study with pre- and post-design model observation approach, involving patients with HER 2-overexpression breast cancer who had undergone surgery and had never received chemotherapy or hormonal therapy before, who were then given adjuvant chemotherapy. Estradiol levels were measured before and after chemotherapy. The study was carried out in the surgical oncology division of RSUD Dr. Moewardi (RSDM) Surakarta from January 2020-December 2020. Descriptive data are presented in a frequency table based on age, menstrual status, parity status, breastfeeding status, contraception, contraception duration, family history, stage, and histological grade. Before and after chemotherapy in patients with breast cancer, the estradiol levels employed the paired sample t-test of the Wilcoxon rank test because the data did not meet the normality assumption. RESULTS: From the total data of 21 patients, 15 patients experienced a decrease in estradiol levels after chemotherapy, while six patients underwent an increase. The mean estradiol level before chemotherapy was 89.41 pg/ml, whereas the mean estradiol level after chemotherapy was 55.90 pg/ml. It indicates a difference in the decrease in estradiol levels of 33.51 pg/ml. The statistical test results also obtained a p-value of = 0.033 (p < 0.05), which signifies a significant difference between estradiol levels before and after chemotherapy. Thus, chemotherapy is effective in lowering estradiol levels in patients with breast cancer. CONCLUSION: Chemotherapy affects decreasing estradiol levels in patients with HER2 overexpression breast cancer.

Abstract Background: Serum miRNA was once found as potential disease survival index, thus we investigated the role of miRNA in predicting prognosis in loco-regionally advanced NPC patients treated with CCRT. Methods: This study included two phases: (i) We enrolled 3 NPC patients with recurrence or distant metastasis (experimental group, EG) and 3 NPC patients in clinical remission (control group, CG) , who were treated with CCRT within 5 years. The paired serum was collected before and after treatment and biomarkers were discovered by TaqMan Human MicroRNA Arrays. (ii) we used the bioinformatic analysis, marker selection and an independent validation by qRT-PCR to analyse the serums of 29 NPC patients with recurrent disease or distant metastasis and 19 NPC patients in clinical remission treated with CCRT. We used the Kaplan-Meier method, log-rank test and Cox regression model to estimate the accuracy of the miRNAs to predict PFS and OS, and identified factors significantly associated with prognosis, respectively. Results: Using fold change≥2.0 or ≤0.5 and p≤0.05 as cutoff levels, we identified 1 up-regulated and 9 down-regulated miRNAs, 1 up-regulated and 6 down-regulated miRNAs in EG versus CG before and after CCRT, respectively. After significantly down-regulated miRNAs from EG versus CG were removed, only 9 different miRNAs were significantly reduced. In the serum samples of 48 NPC patients, there were no significant difference in the expression of miRNA-26b, miRNA-29a and miRNA-125b before CCRT, and the expression of miRNA-143 and miRNA-29b after CCRT. We calculated a risk score with the expression of miRNA-26b、miRNA-29a、miRNA-125b、miRNA-29b、miRNA-143 and then classified patients as high or low risk group. Cox regression model suggested that combining miRNA-29a and miRNA-125b before CCRT with miRNA-26b after CCRT was independent prognostic factors for PFS (HR=3.149, 95%CI:1.018-9.115, p=0.034), whereas combining the former two is independent for OS (HR=5.146, 95%CI:1.674-15.817, p=004). Conclusions: For loco-regionally advanced NPC patients treated with CCRT, especially high-risk patients- serum miRNAs such as miRNA-29a, miRNA-125b and miRNA-26b etc, play an important role in predicting prognosis factors for PFS and OS, which will contribute to the strategic direction of future research.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of anger management training on adolescent aggression behavior. This study uses a quasi-experimental method, with one group pretest-posttest design. The treatment is only given to one group. The population of this study is 15 male neglected  and street adolescences. The subjects of this study were six male adolescences (Mage = 14 years old, SD =.75), with highly aggressive behavior. Aggression behavior is measured using the CBCL (Child Behavior Checklist). The adolescence who have scores above the threshold line are then involved in this study. Data were collected before and after the intervention using the Aggression Questionnaire (AQ) (29 items, α = .917). As a treatment, a nine-session of anger management training was conducted. The data was analyzed with the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, and the result shows that there is a significant difference knowledge before and after training (p = .028, p <.05). Posttest scores were better than pretest scores. It can be concluded that anger management training can be considered as a good program in increasing knowledge about aggression and procedure in reducing aggressive behavior.
