This study sought to test and find empirical evidence on the effect of Al-Bai’ and wadiah contracts on sharia compliance and the performance of sharia banking system through the Maqashid sharia index. The study employed the explanatory research design, aimed at explaining a causal relationship among variables using a quantitative approach. The Partial Least Square (PLS) model was used as the analysis method to answer the hypotheses of this study. The authors found out that increases and decreases in wadiah contracts did not influence the financial performance of sharia banks. Another finding also showed that Al-Bai’ and wadiah contracts and sharia compliance had a significant effect on the performance of public sharia banks. This result evidenced that the concept of an Islamic bank should be a mediator, which should neither allow profiting from the fund, nor should be used to invest in the real sector of various funding systems.

The purpose of this study is to detect the financial performance of companies in the financial sector that is influenced by intellectual capital. Secondary data of companies in the financial sector listed on the IDX for the period 2017-2019 became the source of research data and were analyzed using the partial least square (PLS) analysis method. This study shows the results that the company’s financial performance is negatively affected by HCE, but is positively influenced by SCE and CEE. While the participation of IC has a significant effect on financial performance, there is no distinction between distinct sub-sectors.

This research aims to demonstrate the financial performance of Islamic banking in Indonesia using the Maqasid al-Shariah approach. This study used Partial Least Square (PLS) to evaluate the relationship between the Maqasid al-Shariah concept and its indicators and linear regression to prove causality relationship between variables. The research objects were Bank Muamalat Indonesia (BMI), Bank BRI Syariah (BRIS), Bank BNI Syariah (BNIS), Bank Mandiri Syariah (BMS), Bank Panin Syariah (PBS), and Bank Mega Syariah Indonesia (BSMI). The results demonstrated that the indicator of research and development were the dominant indicators in the aspect of Tahdhib al-Fard (Individual Education) and had a contribution to ROE. However, the Tahdhib al-Fard aspect (Individual Education) did not affect ROA. The indicator of equitable development was the dominant indicator in the aspect of Iqamat al-Adl (building justice) and did not affect ROA; however, equitable and functional distribution of murabaha and musyarakah contributed to ROE. The indicator of real sector investment in the aspect of Jalb al-Maslahah (improving welfare) had a dominant formative contribution, and it contributed to ROE. The concept of Maqashid Shariah simultaneously affects 34.9% of ROA and 39.7% of ROE.

Abstract – performance is a record of the outcome of the function of a particular job or activity of an employee for a certain period of time (Gomes, 2000). This study aims to examine the effect of compensation financial and compensation non financial on performance of employee with motivation as intervening variabel involving 35 people as respondent with using partial least square (PLS) analysis method and sobel tests to test the mediating effect. Data were obtained through observation and questionnaire distribution. This study shows two point, first compensation financial has a significant positive effect on work motivation and work motivation has a significant positive effect on employee’s performance. Indirect influence between compensation financial on performance of employee through work motivation that is partial of mediation due to the effect between compensation financial variable on performance also significant. Second, compensation non financial has a significant positive effect on work motivation. Indirect influence between compensation non financial on performance through work motivation that is full of mediation due to the effect between compensation non financial variable on performance of employee not significant. Keywords:  compensation financial, compensation non financial, work motivation, and performance of employee

Hungarian Information and Communication Technology (ICT) companies have an essential role to play in a disruptive era. ICT firms should collaborate and innovate to obtain profit. The elusive correlation between trust in business partners and financial performance inspired this study, which proposed innovation as a mediating variable. The research had two objectives: to investigate the effect of inter-organizational trust on financial performance and innovation and to observe the role of innovation in improving financial performance within different categories of ICT companies. The population included active Hungarian ICT firms. The analysis used 100 samples, comprising micro-, small-, and medium-sized ICT corporations. Those samples were selected by random cluster sampling. This research used Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling. This study supported the idea that inter-organizational trust improved innovation, and that innovation enhanced financial performance. As an expected finding, innovation could mediate a positive direction between inter-organizational trust and financial performance.
