The purpose of the study was to determine the problems of teachers and students in the problem-based learning model with the use of Liquid Crystal Display Media on the results of Biology Science. The design of this study uses quasi experimental. Based on observations and interviews with Biology Science teachers that students tend to remain silent in class, pay less attention to teachers, play with their peers so that the average cognitive learning value results are 63.50%. Based on the results of interviews with students, information was obtained that the teacher had been giving a woman a monotonous method, namely lecture and lack of interaction with students so that some students felt they did not understand the material.</em>

This research aims to identify the difficulties of science learning among sixth grade students as determined and estimated by science teachers and students. To achieve the aims of this research, the researcher depends on the analysis descriptive approach. It identifies the percentages of the difficulty aspects included in questionnaires. For this purpose, the researcher designed two templates of questionnaires. First questionnaire consists of 20 items regarding the difficulties of science learning from students' perspective. Second questionnaire consists of 22 items regarding impediments of science learning from teachers' perspective. The validity and reliability of questionnaires were established. A random sample of 24 science teachers and 295 sixth grade students was used in Mubarak Al-kabeer area. The study was conducted in the second semester of the academic year 2018-2019.The findings reveal that there are no significant differences in the responses of students in different schools about the difficulties of science learning listed in the questionnaires such as the required topics quantity that forms a common difficulty for the student and the teacher in the same time , and some topics that needs longer time more than the given time in the lesson plans to explain and simplify them for the students. In light of the findings of the research were presented a number of recommendations and proposals, including: the need for attention to quantity and quality of academic content, where suitable for students in the sixth grade level and the specificity of the stage they are going through, the need to use teaching methods, activities and teaching aids, and to train in-service teachers on modern trends in science education.

The background of this study was more specifically related to the contextual approach: linking science with daily life, which could help improve students’ understanding on aqidah/creed materials, their ability to think, and their learning experiences. Thus, the students could implement them in real life. The study conducted in Class X of MAN Model Banda Aceh, aimed at investigating the implementation of the contextual approach, the application of the contextual approach which could increase the understanding of the Aqidah concept, and the understanding of Aqidah concept of the students taught using the contextual approach and the conventional approach. The research employed quantitative descriptive with quasi experimental method. Data were collected by essay pretest and essay posttest, teachers’ and students’ observation, and documentation. The research findings showed that the implementation of the contextual approach on aqidah learning covered the scope of Aqidah Islam and sub-materials such as the definitions, and the principles of aqidah. The learning method of aqidah included using seven components of the contextual approach: constructivism, inquiry, modeling, frequently asked questions, group learning, modeling, and real judgment. The teaching and learning activities were carried out through discussions in accordance with the lesson plans. Further, the observation analysis of the teachers’ ability level (TKG) showed that the descriptive statistics of the teaching activity was 4.51≤TKG t1-α or 15.38> 1.6923, making Ho rejected and Ha accepted. It can be meant that the students’ posttest was better that the pretest. Moreover, the learning outcomes of the aqidah learning of the students of Class X IPA 2 and Class X IPA 5 reflected that those taught with the contextual outperformed those with the conventional learning, as shown here based on the significance level α = 0.05 and degree of freedom (df) = 66. The ttable obtained was t_(0,975)(66) = 1.997 so that tcount < ttable (0.59 µ2 was accepted.

The demand for color head- and helmet-mounted displays (HMDs) is growing. Interest focuses on full-color systems, but a limited color repertoire is sufficient for some applications and can reduce cost and complexity significantly, especially when subtractive-color active-matrix liquid-crystal display (AMLCD) technology is used. We report a series of experiments that investigated important questions about the design and merits of two-primary color AMLCDs for HMD applications. Our main conclusion is that the image quality of a subtractive-color AMLCD with high (≥70%) aperture ratio is superior to a comparable, conventional color AMLCD. Evidence regarding requirements for resolution, aperture ratio, and gray scale is also provided.

The low quality of early childhood education management in Indonesia can be seen from the results of accreditation that refer to national education standards. This study offers a solution that is to streamline management through the application of a management model based on national standards for early childhood education, which is integrated with a management information system. This article describes the process of formulating and testing a model called MPAUD-SNSI. The tests conducted at 45 schools in Bengkulu Province showed that the model and application of the management information system produced in this study were valid and reliable. The spider diagram simulation feature in the application can conduct a self-evaluation before applying for accreditation. This evaluation helps schools to improve the quality of management sustainably. The empirical test results show that if the indicators in the PAUD-SNSI model are applied in schools, the level of effectiveness of school management can reach the very effective criteria.

Learning in the digital era 4.0 brings changes for teachers and students. Teachers must prepare innovative digital-based learning to improve students' higher-order thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the effect of the application of the PjBL-HOTS learning model on cognitive learning outcomes, critical thinking, and social attitudes. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research design, which uses a pretest-posttest nonequivalent group design. The study used two classes, namely class X1 as the experimental class while class X2 as the control class. The research instrument is in the form of essay questions to assess students 'cognitive learning outcomes and students critical thinking. Meanwhile, a questionnaire is used to assess students' social attitudes. The data analysis used descriptive and inferential analysis techniques. The inferential analysis used ANCOVA and ANOVA analysis with a significant level of α = 0.05. The results showed that there was an effect of the PjBL-HOTS learning model in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes, critical thinking, and social attitudes. This is because the ability to think critically is always empowered by the teacher at every stage of PjBL

The function of national education is to shape the character and civilization of the nation, while developing the potential of students to be faithful, devoted, have noble character, be capable, creative, independent, democratic, and responsible. This study was to determine whether there is an effect of using environmental-based practicum methods on the identification of the types of protists on cognitive learning outcomes, interest in learning, and students' affective values. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental. (1) The effect of cognitive learning outcomes, the value of t count is greater than t table (27.793 > 2,000), (21.145 > 2.001). (2) The effect of interest in learning, the value of t count is greater than the value of t table (42.268 > 2,000), (36.030 > 2.001). (3) The effect of students' affective scores: the t-count value is greater than the t-table value (20,044 > 2,000), (30,734 > 2,001). There is a significant effect of using environmental-based practicum methods on cognitive learning outcomes, interest in learning, and affective values
