<p>The article gives a brief analytical survey of multilingualism practices, its consequences, and its benefits in education and discussions on the appropriate ways towards its achievement in education. Multilingualism refers to speaking more than one language competently. Generally, there are both the official and unofficial multilingualism practices. This study was descriptive qualitative. The subjects of the study were eighty students and divided into two classes. Purposive sampling technique was applied in identifying students who tended to practice multilingualism in education in EFL class. The benefits of multilingualism practices in education were realized by relying on text analysis of the written materials on education and psychology. Personal experience in educational matters especially the educational processes in EFL class is also included. Findings were descriptively presented in continuous prose. Students still had problems on the way they speak and write in English well. However, there were only 1.9% students who felt that they influenced in speaking and even writing English well. It is quite a challenging issue towards students implementing multilingualism within the classroom. Even though, they are already learned English since they were from junior high school, fortunately.</p>

Kejadian dismenorea primer di Indonesia sekitar 54,89%, sisanya 45,11% dismenorea sekunder. Dismenorea primer  pada siswi SMP X dari 35 siswi 25 siswi mengalami disminor bila haid. Salah satu pengobatan dismenorea secara non-farmakologis yaitu hipnoterapi. Hipnoterapi merupakan salah satu cara yang mudah, cepat, efektif, dan efisien dalam menjangkau pikiran bawah sadar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh hipnoterapi terhadap dismenorea pada siswi SMP. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre Eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian one group pre-test-post-test. Jumlah populasi yang didapat 117 orang dan jumlah sampel yang diambil 20 orang, dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data diperoleh secara langsung dari responden dengan menggunakan alat ukur Verbal Descriptor Scale (VDS). Analisis data melalui dua tahapan, yaitu univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan uji t-dependen. Hasil penelitian didapatkan nilai rata-rata skala dismenorea sebelum diberikan intervensi adalah 6,50 dan nilai rata-rata sesudah diberikan intervensi adalah 1,35, terdapat pengaruh hipnoterapi terhadap dismenorea (t=17,596, p-value= 0,001). Hipnoterapi dapat disarankan untuk diterapkan sebagai tindakan nonfarmakologis untuk mengatasi dismenorea.Kata kunci: Dismenorea primer, hipnoterapi, SMP.Effect of Hypnotherapy on Alleviating Primary Dysmenorrhea in Junior High School StudentsAbstractThe incidence of primary dysmenorrhea in Indonesia amounts to approximately 54.89%, while another 45.11% is secondary dysmenorrhea. 25 out of 35 female students at SMP Patriot Bangsa (Patriot Bangsa Junior High School) experience primary dysmenorrhea when menstruating. One of nonpharmacological treatments for dysmenorrhea is hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy is an easy, fast, effective, and efficient way to treat dysmenorrhea by reaching the subconcious. This research aimed to identify the effect of hypnotherapy on dysmenorrhea in junior high school students. This research used a pre-experimental method with one group pretest- posttest design. The population of this research was 117 students and 20 students were chosen as sample with purposive sampling technique. Data were collected from respondents using Verbal Descriptor Scale (VDS) instrument. Data were analyzed in two steps, univariate and bivariate with t-dependent test. The results showed that the average value of dysmenorrhea before intervention is 6.5 and after intervention is 1.35. Hypnotherapy was found to have an effect on dysmenorrhea (t=17,596, p-value 0,001). It was suggested to the school that they should conduct nonpharmacological interventions such as hypnotherapy as treatment of dysmennorhea.Key words: Dysmenorrhea primer, hypnotherapy, SMP.

The objective of this research is to examine the effect of compensation, achievement motivation, and working ethic towards employee performance of Taufiqurrahman Foundation in Bekasi. The research was conducted using quantitative approach and method of survey. The size of population in this research is 100 employees at Taufiqurrahman Foundation. Reseach sample were selected as 66 employees using sample random sampling technique. The data obtained with questionaires and tests. The analiytical method used in data analyzing is path analysis technique.The result shows that compensation, achievement motivation, and working ethos have positif direct effect toward the employees performance of Taufiqurrahman Foundation in Bekasi. The findings lead to recommendation that in order to build compensation, achievement motivation and working ethic should be considered seriously.

Abstract The purposes of this research are to describe the ways of students’ traffic order for Junior High School 1 Ulakan Tapakis, identify factors that influence the orderly behavior of the students, and describe the efforts have done by related parties ( school and police) in improving the orderly behavior of traffic toward students at Junior High School 1 Ulakan Tapakis.The type of this research is phenomenological research with a qualitative approach. Purposive sampling technique is used to determine informants. The types of data are primary and secondary data which are collected through observation, interviews, questionnaire, and documentation studies. The test of data validity is done through triangulation technique. While the data analysis techniques used data reduction techniques, data presentation, and data verification.The results of the research showed that the students have not yet orderly traffic. It can be seen from the aspect of completeness of the vehicle letter, in the aspect of Motor Vehicle Equipment, in the aspect of Safety Rules Driving. Factors that affect education, personality, law enforcement, means or facilities. Efforts are made to improve the behavior of orderly traffic that is counseling. From the results of the study can be concluded that 1) Students do not understand and implement Law no. 22 of 2009 on Traffic and Road Transport related to motorcycle riding regulations. 2) Students have good knowledge but it is not followed by a good understanding of traffic rules so that influence attitudes and behavior, law enforcers have not carried out their duties effectively, means or facilities of traffic is not adequate. 3) The school and the police have not been maximized in an effort to improve the behavior of traffic order to students. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian fenomenologi pendekatan kualitatif. Penentuan informan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Jenis data adalah data primer dan skunder yang dikumpulkan dengan observasi, wawancara, angket dan studi dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data melalui teknik triangulasi sumber. Sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan siswa belum tertib berlalu lintas, dilahat dari aspek kelengkapan surat kendaraan, aspek perlengkapan kendaraan bermotor, aspek peraturan keselamatan berkendara. Faktor yang mempengaruhi pendidikan, kepribadian, penegak hukum, sarana atau fasilitas. Upaya yang dilakukan meningkatkan perilaku tertib berlalu lintas yaitu penyuluhan . Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa 1) siswa belum memahami serta melaksanakan Undang-Undang No. 22 Tahun 2009 tentang Lalu Lintas dan Angkutan Jalan terkait peraturan mengendarai sepeda motor. 2) Siswa memiliki pengetahuan yang baik namun belum diikuti dengan pemahaman yang baik tentang aturan lalu lintas sehingga mempengaruhi sikap dan perilaku, penegak hukum belum melaksanakan tugasnya secara efektif, sarana atau fasilitas lalu lintas belum memadai. 3) Pihak sekolah dan kepolisisan belum maksimal dalam upaya meningkatkan perilaku tertib berlalu lintas pada siswa. The research aims to investigate whether Students’ Readiness toward National Examination (A Case Study in SMPN 2 Palopo). The problem statement of the research was, “How are their readiness in facing national examination”? This research used the Descriptive Quantitative Method. The population of this research was 167 students from the ninth grade students of Junior High School Number 2 Palopo. The total numbers of the students are ten students. The researcher took five students from each class as the sample. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The researcher used this technique based on their consideration. The result of the analysis can explain that the researcher analyzed the result to measure the students’ readiness in facing national examination. The researcher has conducted the result of the test showed their readiness to face the national examination. The result categorized into average classification. The highest score is 74, the middle score is 66, the lowest score is 60, and the mean score is 67.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini </em><em>berupa </em><em>data </em><em>ter</em><em>tulis berita berbahasa Jawa dalam majalah Panjebar Semangat. Conjugate elements dominate in grammatical cohesion compared to the elements of reference, substitution, and percolation; whereas repetition elements predominate in form cohesion compared to elements of synonymy, antonymy, collocation, hyponimi, and equivalence; (2) Coherence of news in </em><em>Panjebar Semangat magazine</em><em> of the type of causal relationship is more dominant than that of the means-of-means relationship, the causes, the means, the conclusion, the outcomes, the paradigms, the amplicatives, the additive-time, the identification, generic-specific, and like; (3) Various forms of cohesion and type of news coherence in Panyebar Semangat magazines are considered suitable and suitable as Javanese language learning materials for junior high school students, whether viewed from the aspects of language, culture, philosophy, and curricular.</em><em></em></p><p><strong><em>Keyword</em></strong><strong><em>s:</em></strong><em> </em><em>cohesion, coherence, Javanese news, learning materials</em><em></em></p>

Burnout adalah stres berkepanjangan yang muncul karena beban pekerjaan yang berlebih. Salah satu profesi di bidang pendidikan yang mengalami burnout adalah guru di SMPN Y Surabaya. Salah satu upaya menurunkan tingkat burnout yakni melalui Pelatihan ‘ASIMERU’. Pelatihan ini berbasis penerapan Modal Psikologis yakni mengimplementasikan HERO (Hope, Self-efficacy, Resiliency & Optimism). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen pretest-posttest design. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah 10 paritisipan. Tingkat burnout diukur dengan skala burnout oleh Maslach, Jackson, Leiter (1996) yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pelatihan ‘ASIMERU’ efektif untuk menurunkan tingkat burnout para guru di SMPN Y Surabaya.  Burnout is a prolonged stress arising due to an excessive workload. Teachers at Public Junior High School Y Surabaya has experienced burnout. ‘ASIMERU’ training, which is based on Psychological Capital (Hope, Self-efficacy, Resiliency & Optimism) was designed to reduce burnout rate. This study used a quantitative approach with an experimental method with a pretest-posttest design type. This study utilized a purposive sampling technique which then obtained 10 participants. The study used the burnout scale by Maslach, Jackson, Leiter (1996) given before and after training which then analyzed by using paired sample t-test. The results showed that the "ASIMERU" training was effective in reducing the burnout rate of the teachers at Public Junior High School Y Surabaya.

<p><em><span lang="EN-US">Conflicts with parents has increased in adolescence. Conflict that tends to increase will have an impact on aggressive behavior, juvenile delinquency, depression, even suicide in adolescents. The purpose of this study to describe parents-adolescent conflicts among students of Public Junior High School in Padang City. The research design is descriptive with the sample are 388 students of Public Junior High School in Padang City using purposive sampling technique. Data collection in this study using the Conflict Behavior Questionnaire questionnaire. The results obtained 44.1% of adolescents experiencing conflict with parents. It is recommended to nurses give health education on conflict management and assertive behavior to minimize sustained conflict.</span></em></p><p>Kejadian konflik dengan orang tua mengalami peningkatan pada usia remaja. Konflik yang cenderung meningkat akan berdampak pada perilaku agresif, kenakalan remaja, depresi, bahkan bunuh diri pada remaja. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran konflik antara remaja dan orang tua pada siswa SMP Negeri di Kota Padang. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan jumlah sampel 388 orang siswa SMP Negeri di Kota Padang melalui teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner Conflict Behavior Questionnaire. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 44,1 % remaja mengalami konflik dengan orang tua disimpulkan bahwa gambaran kejadian konflik antara remaja dan orang tua pada siswa  di SMP Negeri Kota Padang menjadi hal yang perlu diperhatikan, karena kurang dari separuh (44%) remaja mengalami konflik dengan orang tua. Disarankan agar perawat bisa memberikan pendidikan kesehatan mengenai manajemen konflik dan perilaku asertif agar meminimalkan terjadinya konflik yang berkelanjutan.</p>

Pantai Bondo merupakan salah satu objek wisata pantai yang terdapat di Kabupaten Jepara yang menawarkan keindahan pantai dengan pasir putih. Karakteristik Pantai Bondo perlu dianalisis untuk pengembangan wisata pantai. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui karakteristik masyarakat dan pengunjung, persepsi responden tentang potensi wisata, dan nilai Indeks Kesesuaian Wisata (IKW) Pantai Bondo. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret-April 2018 di Pantai Bondo, Kabupaten Jepara. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan menyebar kuesioner kepada 30 responden masyarakat dengan penentuan responden menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan 30 responden pengunjung dengan penentuan responden menggunakan teknik accidental sampling serta metode penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan Indeks Kesesuaian Wisata (IKW) yang terdiri dari 3 stasiun. Responden pada umumnya berusia dewasa dengan tingkat pendidikan SMP-SMA. Pengunjung mendapatkan informasi secara lisan, sudah datang lebih dari dua kali dengan tujuan rekreasi atau berlibur dengan temannya serta pengunjung memiliki kepuasan dalam berwisata sehingga memiliki keinginan untuk kembali berkunjung. Persepsi responden untuk potensi, daya tarik, dan fasilitas memberikan penilaian yang baik, sedangkan untuk aksesibilitas dan kepedulian lingkungan mendapat penilaian cukup baik dari responden. Nilai Kesesuaian Pantai Bondo untuk ketiga stasiun termasuk dalam kategori S1 atau sangat sesuai untuk wisata pantai dengan rata-rata persentase 92,4%.  Bondo Beach is one the beach tourism object in the Jepara Regency that offers beauty of the white sandy beach. Characteristics of the Bondo Beach needs to be analyzed for coastal tourism development. The purpose of this research were to know the characteristic of community and visitor, respondent’s perception about potency, and value of Tourism Suitability Index of the Bondo Beach. The study was conducted in March-April 2018 at Bondo Beach, Jepara Regency. The method used in this research was qualitative method by spreading questionnaires to 30 respondents using purposive sampling technique and 30 respondents using accidental sampling and quantitative research method using Tourism Suitability Index consisting of 3 stations. Respondents are generally adults with Junior High School until Senior High School education. Visitors get information orally, have come more than twice with purpose a recreation or holiday, come with friends and visitors have satisfy in the tour so have desire to return.  Respondents' perceptions of potential, attractiveness, and facilities provide good judgment, while for accessibility and environmental awareness is considered good enough from respondents. The Bondo Beach Suitability Value for the three stations is included in the S1 or is particularly suitable for coastal tourism with an average percentage of 92,4%.

This study aims to examine the socio-scientific issues of the betel chewing tradition so that it can be used as a context for learning science lessons in junior high school. The research conducted is qualitative research with a case study approach. The population was residents of Genito Village, Windusari Subdistrict, Magelang District who still carried out the tradition of betel chewing. The research sample was determined using cluster random sampling technique and selected 4 respondents. The instruments used in the study are interview guidelines and observation guidelines. The results showed that the betel chewers believed that betel chewing could strengthen the teeth. Unfortunately, betel chewers do not maintain oral hygiene so that the activities of the chewing can have a negative impact. The socio-scientific issue of the tradition of  betel chewing can be built as a context for junior high school science learning activities.

The issues arise in performing laboratory hands-on activity are: the less frequence in its implementation, the lack of students interest, the limited in time, and lack of preparation. By considering the importance of laboratory hands-on activity, it is necessary to examine the conditions of the hands-on activity in school whether the activity has been in accordance with the existing rules and standards. This study aimed to determine the implementation of biology hands-on activity in students’ grade XI of SSHS 10-Pekanbaru. The population in this study was 144 students. The sampling technique used were Slovin formula and purposive sampling, in which the sample was 60 students of class XI MIPA-1 to MIPA-4. The instruments used to collect the data in this study were questionnaires, observation sheets, and interviews. The results showed that the for 4 indicators observed (i.e. hands-on activity intensity, students’ interest in hands-on activity, hands-on activity duration, and hands-on activity preparation) reached the percentages between 76.14% and 80.66%, which were in the good category. Thus, it can be concluded that this school has been conducting a good hands-on activity. It is suggested for further researchers to focus on problems analysis and alternative solutions
