<p>Efforts to create peaceful world by upholding values of pluralism and to bring prosperity on earth by developing science and technology become very crucial and urgent. However, horizontal conflicts due to religious differences and technological abuses are still prevalent. This study provides an alternative design for Islamic education that is believed to be able to make life on earth more advanced, peaceful and prosperous with reference to al-Ghazali’s thoughts. It reveals some possible ways to empower pesantren to meets the needs of students in the contemporary era, extracted from al-Ghazali’s thoughts on shak, tawāḍu‘, ṣuḥbah, mukhtalif al-alwān and the classification of knowledge. The study is qualitative research with descriptive analysis of literatures concerning education. In this paper, the author argues that such an ideal pesantren should uphold the characteristics of (1) inclusive religious education, (2) balanced religious and scientific development, (3) student-centered learning, and (4) entrepreneurial institution.</p>

This research discusses how models of learning strategies of Islamic religious education; second, how the learning concept of essentialism philosophy; third, how the models of learning strategy of Islamic education in essentialism philosophy perpesktif.The type of research in this thesis uses library research, with a qualitative approach; data collection method: documentary method, that is to collect data and information on library materials relevant to research object; is data analysis with deductive method and inductive method.The research findings in this thesis can be summarized: First: The learning strategy of Islamic Education is a conceptual framework that serves as a guide for education designers and implementers. Learning strategy models used are student-centered learning strategies such as, co-operative, contextual and Active; Second: The essentialism philosophy is an educational philosophy that argues that education must have a firm footing of old cultural values, historical legacies, which have been proven to bring goodness to life. The models of instructional strategies in the essentialism philosophy  perspective are teacher-centered learning strategies (Teacher Centered); Third: The use of learning strategy models that emphasize student activities, students as subjects (Student Centered), such as contextual learning (CTL), Active learning, and Cooperative learning, should not reduce and completely eliminate the existence of teachers. However, the success of education or learning in educating, teaching, and shaping student characteristics lies in the extent of teacher role involvement in education and learning itself. This study is about the evaluation of student centered learning implementation by Internship students of Faculty of Education and Teacher Training at PSKD Jakarta. The purpose of this study to find out how the implementation of student centered learning at the school. The research method used was survey method by using qualitative research approach. The respondents of this study were 31 teachers who were taken using proportional random sampling (50%) from 62 companion teachers. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires (which consists of 24 statements) and interviews. Questionnaire data was analyzed quantitatively by classification of Likert scale value while interview data was analyzed descriptively. From the data collected through questionnaires and interviews found that the implementation of student centered learning in PSKD partner schools in Jakarta is good, and 30% of teachers still believe that the implementation of student centered learning in PSKD partner schools is still poor. Thus, it can be concluded the implementation of students centered learning at PSKD is good, but it still needs improvement. Keyword: evaluation, implementation, students centered learning, PPL

The purpose of this study was to gain an understanding of Islamic Religious Education Teachers' exemplary approach to developing students' emotional, spiritual quotients. This article employs a qualitative research methodology in conjunction with a case study approach. The approach taken is consistent with the formulation of the problem under investigation. Informants were chosen based on the research's objectives. Formal and informal interviews were conducted. The findings of this study demonstrate two aspects of the emotional approach in Islamic education: Methods of persuasion and education. Teachers develop spiritual, emotional intelligence by providing students with new knowledge that includes exemplary figures dating all the way back to the Prophet Muhammad's time and exemplary national figures, as well as by inviting students to practice family strategies for recognizing and managing their own emotions, the ability to motivate themselves, the ability to recognize the emotions of others, and how to build relationships with others.

  The objectives of this research are as follows 1). This study aims to determine the perception of Al-Quran Hadith teachers on the implementation of the 2013 curriculum at the Al Washliyah Stabat Private Tsanawiyah Madrasah. 2). To find out the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in Al-Quran Hadith learning at the Al Washliyah Stabat Private Tsanawiyah Madrasah. 3). To find out the role of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Private Al Washliyah Stabat in implementing the 2013 curriculum in the subjects of Al-Quran Hadith. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research, namely this type of research describes the state of objects or events without an intention to draw conclusions that apply in general. In this study, it is intended to describe the role of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Private Al Washliyah Stabat as a forum to form students who have superior quality by using the latest learning curriculum, namely Curriculum 2013. stabat. The background of the problem in this study is that the implementation of the Islamic education curriculum is not fully implemented in the Al-Washliyah Stabat Private Tsanawiyah Madrasah regarding the curriculum that is still applied in teaching and learning activities, namely the 2013 curriculum. Islamic religious education curriculum is limited to the field of study of Islamic Religious Education such as the field of study of the Qur'an and Hadith. This research is included in the qualitative research model, meaning that the data used in this study is qualitative data (data that does not consist of numbers) in the form of verbal messages, dialogues and writings that are the results of research through library research activities and field observations and conducting research. Documentation of the objectives of this study are: To find out the perception of Al-Quran Hadith teachers on the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Swasta Al Washliyah Stabat. To find out the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in Al-Qur'an Hadith learning at the Al Washliyah Stabat Private Tsanawiyah Madrasah. To find out the role of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Private Al Washliyah Stabat in implementing the 2013 curriculum in Al-Quran Hadith subjects. The results of this research are: Madrasah Tsanawiyah has a significant role in preserving the continuity of Islamic education and Islamic ethical moral values ​​in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. In terms of the process of implementing learning in MTs. Private Al Washliyah Stabat has been implemented well by making students more participative in learning and teaching activities

<em>The Bhagawan Dhomya Lawan Sisyanira story is part ofAdi Parwa. The story is reflection of the interrelationship between pedagogical components, such as: educational goals, educators, learners, educational tools and educational environment, which form a system in educational practice called pedagogy system. Education components of Bhagawan Dhomya Lawan Sisyanira’s storydirected to student centered learning, which a test of obedience and devoted of  Bhagawan Dhomya’s students, namely Sang Arunika tested by paddy fields, Sang Utamanyu tested by shepherds cows and Sang Weda tested by providing dishes in the kitchen. The exam given by Bhagawan Dhomya to his students has been concerned about the nature of learners as the subjects and also educational objects. Therefore, students are directed to adapt and interact with the environment, but still pay attention to the components of pedagogy, so the education can be well done and Hindu religious ecaducation values in Bhagawan Dhomya Lawan Sisyanira’s story relevant to applied as guidance in the implementation of education. The existence of FIQH as the main subject at each PTAI both private and public taught to students has a good purpose for scientific understanding of Islamic law. Learning FIQH has a progressive urgency that is taught science to students so that students are able to understand the basic Islamic law relating to human actions that are categorized as adults. Learning in Islamic religious colleges can choose and implement one or several variants of the integration relationship. The learning is based on Permenristedikti 44/2015 related to SNPT / national standard of higher education. Learning also has an interactive specificity, which occurs between students and lecturers. In interaction, of course, focus on students (Student Centered Learning) so that changes occur experienced by students into the cognitive realm, namely the ability to relate to knowledge, thoughts, and then the ability to prioritize feelings or known as affective terms. Fiqh is defined as a knowledge of Islamic law formulated by Islamic jurists (mujtahid) through the process of reasoning on the verses of the Qur'an and the hadith texts relating to human actions that are intelligent and mature. In the context of fiqh discussion here, fiqh in question is one of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) courses relating to law, rules and procedures of worship to Allah SWT taught in tertiary institutions. In this case, fiqh is also one part of Islamic Religious Education courses that is directed to prepare students to recognize, understand, live and practice Islamic law which then becomes the basis of their way of life through guidance, teaching, exercise of use, practice and habituation

The teacher is the transformational media of all the knowledge needed by students. In addition, the role of teachers is very much needed especially in Islamic-based schools that always pay attention and prioritize students to continue their studies in college. To get closer and to build with high enthusiasm for the achievement of the priorities above, the researcher conducted research at second grade of Elementary School in Sidoarjo by knowing more about the leadership style of the principal in improving the work ethic of Islamic Education teachers. This study is entitled "The leadership role of school principals in improving the work ethic of Islamic Religious Education teachers at second grade of Elementary School in Sidoarjo". This research is a qualitative study, through a phenomenological approach that is a qualitative research approach rooted in philosophical and psychological and focuses on human life experiences (sociology) that produce descriptive data in the form of written or oral data from observable people's behavior. The form of research is descriptive qualitative research, namely research that describes an object relating to the problem conducted without asking research variables.The results of research on the role of principals in improving the work ethic of teachers of Islamic Education are as follows: (1) as educators: principals must have the right strategy to improve the work ethic of teachers and professional educators. (2) as a manager at school: the task of the manager is to plan something that can improve the work ethic of the teachers of Islamic Education and the quality of education, in addition the manager also organizes educational resources that have not been organized in order to unite in implementing education and control the implementation of educational outcomes . (3) as a motivator: the principal has a very close relationship with various activities in the school, such as providing motivation and encouragement, so the teacher is more disciplined and has a work spirit.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui realitas upaya guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik di sekolah menengah atas (SMA) se-Kecamatan Bringin, Kabupaten pada tahun 2012, termasuk: (1) Untuk menentukan kompetensi pedagogik guru PAI, (2) Untuk mengetahui upaya guru PAI dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik, (3) Untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan kompetensi pedagogic guru PAI se-Kecamatam Bringin. Penilaian dilakukan penelitian kualitatif, informan terdiri dari guru PAI dan kepala sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan metode kualitatif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) kompetensi pedagogik guru PAI SMA se-Kecamatan Bringin Semarang 2012 tergolong baik, terbukti dari latar belakang pendidikan guru yang linier dengan pelajaran yang diampu, pemahaman terhadap kompetensi pedagogik yang baik, persiapan alat pembelajaran dan manajemen pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan ketentuan (2) upaya untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik adalah dengan memperbanyak referensi mengenai kompetensi pedagogik PAI, menghadiri berbagai seminar, lokakarya, pelatihan, dan mengikuti Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP). Pihak sekolah juga melakukan upaya melalui evaluasi belajar, memeriksa pembelajaran, supervisi kelas, dan mendorong guru untuk menghadiri seminar pendidikan (3) Pelaksanaan pedagogik pembelajaran pendidikan Islam akan menentukan kualitas pembelajaran itu sendiri, dengan guru yang memiliki kompetensi pedagogik, manajemen pembelajaran akan berjalan lancar. This study aims to determine the reality of the efforts of teachers of Islamic religious education (PAI) in improving pedagogic competence at senior high school (SMA) throughout Bringin Semarang regency in 2012, including: (1) To determine the pedagogical competence of PAI teachers, (2) To know the efforts of PAI teacher in improving pedagogical competence, (3) To know the implementation of pedagogical competence in PAI. The assessment was conducted qualitative research to informants, both PAI teacher and the headmaster. This study uses a descriptive qualitative procedure. The conclusions are (1) pedagogical competence of PAI teachers at SMA 1 Bringin Semarang Regency 2012 is good, proven by the teachers’ linear education background with teaching load, understanding towards good pedagogic, the preparation of learning tools and management in accordance with the provisions (2) efforts to improve pedagogical competence are by reading various reference regarding it, attending seminars, workshops, trainings, and following deliberation subject teachers (MGMP), the school authorities make efforts through the evaluation of learning, classroom supervision, and creating opportunities for teachers to attend educational seminars (3) Implementation of pedagogic on learning Islamic education will determine the quality of learning itself. The title of this research is efforts to overcome lack of interest in reading reference book of courses in the industrial revolution 4.0 case study on student masters PAI class 2018. This research aims to know efforts by students for overcoming the lack of interest in reading of main reference book at an educational institution that is University. In addition, this study also aims to know the factors that cause lack of interest in reading so that we know how to overcome it. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative research methods. Data were obtained by observing in advance during the learning process in class, then followed by some interviews which is considered to have understanding about the issues that will be investigated, regarding the efforts made to overcome the lack of interest in reading Student of Islamic religious education studies Masters Program FITK class 2018 towards the Lecture Reference Book in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0. The results showed that the reasons of low interest in reading are they don't have reference book, the books are too thick, and lack of awareness of the importance of reading reference books. The efforts that students have to do are buying a lot of books, increasing and straightening the intention to read, turning on self awareness that reading reference books as an effort to quickly graduate.
