Resumo: Pesquisa qualitativa que objetivou identificar o perfil e as expectativas do usuário submetido à Endoscopia Digestiva Alta num Centro Endoscópico de um hospital universitário e as principais necessidades de educação em saúde apresentadas por estes e seus acompanhantes. Os dados foram coletados entre abril e maio de 2011, através de entrevistas semi estruturadas, com vinte e um usuários e dezenove acompanhantes. Os resultados apontaram para a importância de implantar o acolhimento como uma prática de saúde, conhecer quem são os envolvidos no recebimento do cuidado de saúde e para a necessidade de construção de um protocolo de acolhimento.Descritores: Assistência de enfermagem, Endoscopia, AcolhimentoUsuario realizó endoscopia y su compañero: perfil y expectativasAbstract: Qualitative research attempts to identify the user profile and expectations submitted to Upper endoscopy Endoscopic Center in a university hospital and the main needs of health education provided by these and their companions. Abstract Background From 2014 to 17, a large-scale project, ‘The User-involving Hospital’, was implemented at a Danish university hospital. Research highlights leadership as crucial for the outcome of change processes in general and for implementation processes in particular. According to the theory on organizational learning by Agyris and Schön, successful change requires organizational learning. Argyris and Schön consider that the assumptions of involved participants play an important role in organizational learning and processes. The purpose was to explore leaders’ assumptions concerning implementation of patient involvement methods in a hospital setting. Methods Qualitative explorative interview study with the six top leaders in the implementation project. The semi-structured interviews were conducted and analyzed in accordance with Kvale and Brinkmanns’ seven stages of interview research. Result The main leadership assumptions on what is needed in the implementation process are in line with the perceived elements in organizational learning according to the theory of Argyris and Schön. Hence, they argued that implementation of patient involvement requires a culture change among health care professionals. Two aspects on how to obtain success in the implementation process were identified based on leadership assumptions: “The health care professionals’ roles in the implementation process” and “The leaders’ own roles in the implementation process”. Conclusion The top leaders considered implementation of patient involvement a change process that necessitates a change in culture with health care professionals as crucial actors. Furthermore, the top leaders considered themselves important facilitators of this implementation process.

ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the care provided by Basic Health Units (BHU) to families involved in domestic intrafamily violence against children and adolescents. Method: Qualitative research, based on the Paradigm of Complexity. Data collection was performed with 41 professionals through focus groups and semi-structured interviews. Results: The following categories emerged from data analysis: 'Everything comes here', which reflects the legitimate place of BHUs for the population and the actions taken to build care for families; and 'We only do what is really necessary', which brings the look to violence still based on the positivist and biomedical paradigm. Final considerations: The model of understanding and construction of work processes in the BHU is structured in the aforementioned paradigm. Nurses have the possibility to become agents of change, both in professionals' training and in the care thought and provided to communities.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to describe the strategies used by street market saleswomen to recognize their health needs. Methods: qualitative research, based on the Human Needs Theory. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews, with the participation of 15 street market saleswomen. Content Analysis was used to interpret the results. Results: the following categories emerged: “Potentialities and challenges for addressing health needs”, which reflect changes in attitudes and practices related to socially recognized behaviors as harmful, and changes in the work process; and “Popular practices in health care”, which points out therapeutic alternatives for the resolution of health problems. Final considerations: the therapeutic choices of street market saleswomen are geared towards meeting their perceived health needs. While the minority of these women recognize their more complex health needs to satisfy it, it is necessary to overcome barriers and limitations in an ongoing way in their lives.

Abstract The aim of this one year study was to assess the interaction between physicians and patients with neurological chronic diseases in public Health Care Settings in Albania. We randomly selected 25 neurologists who are employed at UHC “Mother Teresa” using short semi-structured interviews during 2015-2016. Twelve Female (mean age 37) and thirteen male (mean age 41) were interviewed. The individuals interviewed have worked an average of 14 years as neurologist in Service of Neurology, UHC “Mother Teresa’. In this study, we used qualitative methodology to better evaluate the opinion of physicians about the main concerns related to communication with patients suffering from chronic diseases. In Albania the interaction between physicians and patients is underestimated and the lack of confidence of patients for efficient communication in public health care constitutes the main findings of the all studies conducted in Albania from 1995-2017. This study showed that the social and economic characteristics of the patient directly affect the communication. Traditional norms determine the central role of the doctor in treating the patient's illness in Albania. All patients report many obstacles and a bureaucratic system that makes it difficult to meet a specialist doctor at the Service of Neurology, University Hospital Center “Mother Teresa” in Albania.

OBJECTIVEAnalysing the concepts of Continuous Health Education - CHE (EPS - in Portuguese), operated by municipal managers and translated into official documents.METHODQualitative research with the use of official documents and semi-structured interviews with the Municipal Health Secretaries or Coordinators of Primary Health Care in the Northeast Region of São Paulo State, and thematic analysis of empirical material.RESULTSResults indicate difficulties in the municipalities problematizing their management practices, services and health care; EPS tools presented are insufficient and unsatisfactory for amending the array of problems raised and are still far from the routine of Primary Care services.CONCLUSIONDespite efforts to implement EPS actions for the strengthening of primary care, the process appears to be incipient.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to focus on the Integrated Care Transitions Project between the emergency department (ED) of a university hospital and primary health care (PHC) services in a large city in Southern Brazil was the focus of this study. Care transitions occurred through telephone contact for patients discharged from the ED to PHC. Design/methodology/approach – This descriptive, exploratory qualitative research collected data via semi-structured interviews (n=14) including interns of health disciplines, advisors for interns, nurses, and physicians from the ED and PHC Family Unit. A thematic analysis of the data were conducted. Findings – ED providers felt they gained increased knowledge of the care networks available for patients in the community. Connection between the providers in ED and PHC facilitated confidence in the services provided in the community and increased continuity of care for patients’ needs. The PHC providers recognized integration promoted communication and better care planning for patients discharged from ED. Integrated care made the work in the PHC easier and benefited the users. Research limitations/implications – The study evaluated a program available in one hospital. Generalizability may be limited as services in the ED were provided by professional residents and their advisors, not employees of the hospital. Practical implications – Shared information by different health services leads to better care for patients and greater job satisfaction for providers. Originality/value – Care transitions are not well-managed in health care; there is limited research focusing on care transitions from ED to community. For providers and patients, this program assisted in building capacity and networks for transitions in care.

ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the understanding of the professionals working on the Family Health Support by about permanent education and matrix support in the daily routine of primary health care. Methods: Descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with the participation of 19 professionals from different backgrounds. The results were organized based on Thematic Content Analysis. Results: Thematic categories emerged from the analysis: Permanent Health Education: knowledge and daily activities; Matrix support as a premise of Permanent Health Education; The principle of integrality as the foundation of the supporting teams; Conditions of praxis in the promotion of Permanent Health Education. Final Considerations: The study evidenced that professionals experience their routines within the service and that the sharing of knowledge to transform the reality of users and the territory is based on matrix support and integrality. However, they face structural difficulties in carrying out actions.

Resumo. A formação esportiva é um processo que depende de vários fatores internos e externos ao individuo. Nesse processo, a forma que ocorre a iniciação esportiva é de alta relevância, pois um planejamento organizado possibilita uma formação qualificada. O objetivo deste estudo é investigar como ocorre a iniciação esportiva na modalidade de atletismo de acordo com a perspectiva de atletas olímpicos brasileiros. Metodologia: Foi utilizada uma pesquisa do tipo qualitativo empregando a técnica de entrevistas semiestruturada, sendo que os dados obtidos foram agrupados a partir dos preceitos do método «análise do conteúdo». Resultados: Como resultado aparece que instituições escolares são as entidades de maior prevalência na iniciação esportiva de atletismo no Brasil, na sequência aparecem prefeituras, projetos sociais e associações. E os motivos pela busca da modalidade são variados, sendo a diversão o motivo que mais foi relatada. Conclusões: É possível perceber a importância das instituições escolares na iniciação esportiva, pois auxiliam na experimentação da modalidade de atletismo. Resumen. El entrenamiento deportivo es un proceso que depende de varios factores internos y externos al individuo. En este proceso, la forma en que se produce la iniciación deportiva es de gran relevancia, puesto que una planificación organizada permite una formación de mayor calidad. El objetivo de este estudio es investigar cómo se produce la iniciación deportiva en el atletismo según la perspectiva de atletas olímpicos brasileños. Metodología: Se realizó una investigación cualitativa empleando la técnica de entrevistas semiestructuradas, y los datos obtenidos se agruparon a partir de los preceptos del método de «análisis de contenido». Resultados: Como resultado, parece que las instituciones escolares son las entidades que más prevalecen en la iniciación del atletismo en Brasil; seguido de ayuntamientos, proyectos sociales y asociaciones. Los motivos para la búsqueda de la práctica deportiva son variados, siendo la diversión la razón más reportadas. Conclusiones: Es posible percibir la importancia de las instituciones escolares en la iniciación del deporte, en base a la ayuda que ofrecen a la modalidad deportiva del atletismo.Palabras clave: carrera deportiva, entrenamiento deportivo, instituciones académicas, entrenamiento deportivo, rendimento atlético. Abstract. Sport training is a process that depends on various factors both internal and external to the individual. In this process, the way in which the sports initiation takes place is highly relevant, since an organised planning allows a higher quality training. The objective of this study is to investigate how sport initiation in athletics occurs according to the perspective of Brazilian Olympic athletes. Methodology: A qualitative research was carried out using the technique of semi-structured interviews, and the data obtained were grouped based on the precepts of the «content analysis» method. Results: As a result, it seems that school institutions are the most prevalent entities in the initiation of athletics in Brazil; followed by city halls, social projects and associations. The reasons for the pursuit of sports practice are varied, with fun being the most reported reason. Conclusions: It is possible to perceive the importance of school institutions in the initiation of sport, based on the help they offer to the sport modality of athletics.

Objetivo: este estudo teve como objetivo conhecer como os pais adolescentes descrevem o cuidado a seus filhos no contexto familiar e sua relação com o crescimento e desenvolvimento infantil. Pesquisa qualitativa, realizada no território da Estratégia Saúde da Família de Teresina-PI, com pais adolescentes, de crianças menores de cinco anos. Os dados foram colhidos por meio de entrevista semiestruturada, com 8 participantes entrevistados, dentre esses, seis mães e dois pais adolescentes. Os discursos foram estudados pela técnica de análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Os cuidados relatados relacionaram-se à alimentação, aleitamento materno, higiene, ludicidade e prevenção de acidentes. O aperfeiçoamento na atenção voltada à paternidade na adolescência é necessário, visto que essa fase se encontra permeada de dificuldades.Descritores: Adolescente, Saúde da Criança, Desenvolvimento Infantil, Enfermagem.CARE FOR THE CHILD GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT IN THE DISCOURSE OF PARENTS AND TEENAGE MOTHERSObjective: This study aimed to understand how adolescents parents describe the care their children within the family and their relationship with the child growth and development. Qualitative research, conducted in the territory of the Family Health Strategy in Teresina-PI, with teenage parents of children under five years. The informations were collected through semi-structured interviews with 8 participants interviewed, among these, 6 mothers and 2 teenage parents. The speeches were analyzed using Bardin content analysis. Reported care were feeding, breastfeeding, hygiene, vaccination, playfulness and accident prevention. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas a 8 participantes entrevistados, entre ellos, 6 madres y 2 padres adolescentes. Los discursos fueron analizados mediante el análisis de contenido de Bardin. Los cuidados reportados eran la alimentanción, la lactancia materna, la higiene, la vacunación, la alegría y la prevención de accidentes. Objetivo: identificar as experiências culturais relacionadas às decisões maternas para a amamentação entre dois países, visando compreender seus significados. Método: pesquisa qualitativa através de estudo de caso, sendo realizadas nove entrevistas semiestruturadas, com mulheres brasileiras e francesas, no período de abril a dezembro de 2017. Aplicou-se a análise temática de Bardin aos depoimentos. O projeto da pesquisa teve anuência de Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa. Resultados: quatro categorias emergiram da análise dos depoimentos: escolha, cultura e influências; entre benefícios e prazer; idealismo da amamentação; relação com o corpo: dor, pudor e sexualidade. Conclusão: as entrevistadas brasileiras apontam para uma valorização da mulher que amamenta e uma culpabilização daquela que não o faz. E para as francesas a sociedade veicula a ideia de que amamentação significa falta de liberdade. Nos dois lados ainda falta a mulher se apropriar dos seus desejos.ABSTRACTObjective: to identify the cultural experiences related to maternal breastfeeding decisions between two countries, aiming to understand their meanings. Methods: qualitative research through case study. Nine semi-structured interviews were conducted with Brazilian and French women, from April to December 2017. Bardin's thematic analysis was applied to the statements. The study was approved by ethics research committee. Results: four categories emerged: choice, culture and influences; between benefits and pleasure; breastfeeding idealism; relationship with the body: pain, shame and sexuality. Conclusion: in Brazil there is an appreciation of women who breastfeed and a blame for those who do not. In France society conveys the idea that breastfeeding means lack of freedom. In both countries the woman still needs to take ownership of her wishes.RESUMENObjetivo: identificar las experiencias culturales relacionadas con las decisiones de lactancia materna entre dos países, con el objetivo de comprender sus significados. La investigación tuvo anuencia del Comité de Ética en Investigación.  Resultados: cuatro categorías emergieron: elección, cultura e influencias; entre beneficios y placer; idealismo de la lactancia materna; relación con el cuerpo: dolor, pudor y sexualidad. Conclusion: en Brasil, hay valorización de la mujer que amamanta y  culpabilización de aquella que no lo hace. En Francia, la sociedad vehicula la idea de que la lactancia significa falta de libertad. En los dos países todavía falta la mujer apropiarse de sus deseos.
