There are considered the features of a satellite communication system organization on the basis of DVB-RCS standard. In order to use effectively the satellite channel capacity it is necessary to form an optimal frequency-and-time structure of a reverse channel that depends, as well, on efficiency of earth stations user load intensity forecast. The methodology of forecast of earth stations subscribers user loads by means of estimation of static and dynamic characteristics of a packet data traffic is proposed. For estimation of input flow intensity and forecast of required capacity approximation methods are used. The method uses linear and polynomial approximation models. First, the parameters of approximating equation are defined, than adequacy of approximation equations to the input information flow intensity is performed. After extrapolation of information flow intensity estimation the maximum value of input information flow intensity forecasted at the moment tk is defined.

AbstractThe aim of this study was to compare the values of oxygen uptake (VO2) during and after strength training exercises (STe) and ergometer exercises (Ee), matched for intensity and exercise time. Eight men (24 ± 2.33 years) performed upper and lower body cycling Ee at the individual’s ventilatory threshold (VE/VCO2). The STe session included half squats and the bench press which were performed with a load at the individual blood lactate concentration of 4 mmol/l. Both sessions lasted 30 minutes, alternating 50 seconds of effort with a 10 second transition time between upper and lower body work. The averaged overall VO2 between sessions was significantly higher for Ee (24.96 ± 3.6 ml·kg·min-1) compared to STe (21.66 ± 1.77 ml·kg·min-1) (p = 0.035), but this difference was only seen for the first 20 minutes of exercise. Absolute VO2 values between sessions did not reveal differences. There were more statistically greater values in Ee compared to STe, regarding VO2 of lower limbs (25.44 ± 3.84 ml·kg·min-1 versus 21.83 ± 2·24 ml·kg·min-1; p = 0.038) and upper limbs (24.49 ± 3.84 ml·kg·min-1 versus 21.54 ± 1.77 ml·kg·min-1; p = 0.047). There were further significant differences regarding the moment effect (p<0.0001) of both STe and Ee sessions. With respect to the moment × session effect, only VO2 5 minutes into recovery showed significant differences (p = 0.017). In conclusion, although significant increases in VO2 were seen following Ee compared to STe, it appears that the load/intensity, and not the material/equipment used for the execution of an exercise, are variables that best influence oxygen uptake.

Comparison measurements and evaluation of the suitability of three pulsators for sheep milking machines were carried out, i.e. a prototype made by the manufacturer of the milking parlour of the pulsator ratio 50% (50:50) and two hydraulic pulsators of the Danish manufacturer S.A. Christensen (SAC), models Unipuls-2 of the pulsator ratios 50% (50:50) and 60% (60:40). The specified pulsation rate was 2.5/s(150/min). It was found that the pulsator prototype made by the milking parlour manufacturer slowly passed air, whereby the vacuum in pulsation chambers did not attain the maximum value. Fig. 2 illustrates the operation of this pulsator. Both SAC pulsators had better parameters and their pulsograms are plotted in Figs. 3 and 4. Also the measurements of a liner deformation in dependence on the vacuum in the teatcup pulsation chamber were made based on which the moment of a real liner opening, i.e. at the vacuum of 35 kPa was determined. The results obtained by the experiments carried out can be summed up as follows: As the change in pulsation rate does not affect the time of transition phases “a” and “c”, the intervals “b” and “d” are shorter if the pulsation rate is increased. Interval “b”, i.e. a full liner opening, shortens with the rising rate and extends with the increased value of the pulsator ratio. For this reason higher pulsator ratios should be used at very high pulsation rates. The teatcup operation depends on the physical-mechanical properties of the liner used. On the milking unit measured considerable differences in time take place between the interval “b” and the liner full opening due to a relatively high resistance power of the liner to deformation. The pulsator prototype designed by the milking parlour producer revealed as fully unsuitable based on its pulsogram. As far as the time of the liner opening is concerned, its parameters were worse than on both SAC pulsators, however, we cannot indicate it as unsuitable.

The purpose of this study was to find out the perceptions of students about the 2013 curriculum, to find out the motivation of students in learning, to determine the relationship between learners' perceptions of the 2013 curriculum and learning motivation of Pelita Ciampea Vocational School students, and research lecturers at STKIP Muhammadiyah Bogor. From the results of the study with a total sample of 57 people obtained results (1) Perception of students about the 2013 curriculum at Pelita Ciampea Vocational School has a positive phenomenon, as evidenced by the maximum value that can be obtained by students is 185, the highest score is 175, the lowest 111, the average 147.74. (2) The learning motivation of students at Ciampea Vocational School has a positive phenomenon, as evidenced by the results of the questionnaire with the maximum value that can be obtained at 135, the highest score of 126, the lowest 90, while the average is 105.72. (3) From the results of the moment product correlation test the relationship between learners 'perceptions of the 2013 curriculum and students' learning motivation has a value of 0.969 while the r-table value is 0.266, and 0.969> 0.266 or r-count> r-table. Thus it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted or in other words, there is a positive relationship between variables X (students' perceptions of the 2013 curriculum) with variable Y (student motivation). The level of relationship between variable X and variable Y lies in the interval 0.80-1.00 which means that the relationship between the two is very strong.

Based on the magnetohydrodynamic module of the commercial computational fluid dynamics software FLUENT, a 3-D mathematical model was developed to describe the multi-field coupling phenomenon in the electroslag remelting process. The model predicted value is in good agreement with the experimental measurements. The simulation results show that, during the melt dripping process, the resistance of the electroslag remelting system is decreasing while the current density and velocity, as well as the temperature are increasing gradually. The maximum value of current density, electromagnetic force, and velocity appears when the melt droplet detaches and the quality of large droplets fall into the slag-metal interface. The maximum value of the current density is increased by almost one order of magnitude. The maximum value of the electromagnetic force and velocity increased by 2.5 and 4.7 times, respectively. The maximum value of Joule heating and temperature appears when the droplets fall into the slag-metal interface. The maximum value of the Joule heating and temperature increased for about 174.7% and 26.8%, respectively, when compared with the moment of the melt droplet formation.
