The main objective is to analyze the Russian agro-industrial complex. The subject of the study is the forms of management and the trends of their development. The last two decades are considered as the main time horizon of the study. The study made it possible: firstly, to reveal a stable tendency towards the predominance of large farms in the structure of production and the dynamics of output volumes given the existing institutional factors; secondly, to determine scenario forecasts (conservative, basic and optimistic) of the main trends in the further development of small and large forms of management; thirdly, to show the influence of the phenomenon of a global pandemic on transformation processes in the Russian agro-industrial complex. The relevance of this study is since during the thirty years of the market transformation of the national system of agrarian relations, significant changes have occurred among the main economic entities: especially in the issues of the evolution of the content, motivation of activity, sustainability factors and classification criteria for economic entities engaged in the production of agricultural products. These processes are reflected in the solution of common strategic problems: issues of ensuring both national food security and global food security issues

Aboriginal peoples are among the most food insecure groups in Canada, yet their perspectives and knowledge are often sidelined in mainstream food security debates. In order to create food security for all, Aboriginal perspectives must be included in food security research and discourse. This project demonstrates a process in which Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal partners engaged in a culturally appropriate and respectful collaboration, assessing the challenges and barriers to traditional foods access in the urban environment of Vancouver, BC, Canada. The findings highlight local, national, and international actions required to increase access to traditional foods as a means of achieving food security for all people. The paper underscores the interconnectedness of local and global food security issues and highlights challenges as well as solutions with potential to improve food security of both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal peoples alike.

Abstract The issue of the need to develop agriculture and import substitution has become particularly relevant after the beginning of mass imposing economic sanctions by the West against Russia, as well as a result of oil prices downturn and shortfall of budget revenues from the sale of energy sources. The policy of import substitution affects the areas of the agro-industrial complex to varying degrees. First of all, these measures affect all areas of agricultural production - crop production, animal husbandry and fisheries. In addition, they apply to the final products of the agro-industrial complex, that is, they regulate the food industry, thus affecting the issue of the country’s food security. The purpose of the study is to identify problems in the development of the country’s agriculture based on the study of Russian and international experience, to consider them in a complex, as well as to assess the impact of the import substitution policy on the development of the industry, to propose measures for the further development of the agro-industrial sector aimed at strengthening the country’s food security.
