Technology-based Teaching and Learning (T&L) is currently a highly discussed matter. Using technology as optimally and maximally as possible in the T&L process is seen to be greatly effective for both students and teachers. This research discusses alternative learning of astrolabe science using software and interactive application. This is qualitative research using content analysis and observation approach. Research results find that some software and interactive application, free or with fees payable, may be used in the T&L process relating to the astrolabe. It is hoped that this research may be helpful for students to understand the use of astrolabe for observation activities and calculations in astronomy, at once improving progress in the development of astronomy in Malaysia.

This chapter aims to link the known research results on the teaching and learning of linear algebra to research on teaching practices. The same person, as a teacher and as a researcher, plans and implements a teaching sequence, constructs multimodal narratives (MNs) for some classes, and reflects on his own practice, based on the emerging categories from content analysis of the MNs. Regarding the methodology and focusing on the role of MNs in this research, it is worth highlighting the value attributed to MNs because they function as an instrument that embodies the practices of the teacher and aid him in reflecting on his own practice.

Scholars of exegesis (interpretation) are unanimous on the method of interpreting al-Quran and Sunnah. However, Fazlur Rahman proposed a modern method of interpretation by applying hermeneutics. He held that this method is to obtain the universal moral values. His assumption is based on the need for al-Quran to be interpreted in a socio-historical context in order to obtain the reasons and purpose of the revealed text and its moral objectives. Fazlur Rahman’s method of interpretation and analysis has its influence on the Sisters-in-Islam (SIS) group.  The objective of this article is to evaluate Fazlur Rahman’s method of interpretation and analyse the influences of Fazlur Rahman’s method determine on women’s issues by the SIS group. Research in the field of Social Sciences is an interesting and complex academic study. Social Science research becomes more and more careful when researchers are not stuck with the only focus on the relationship between variables, but more than that is also deeply reviewed dimensions or indicators or items. For those researchers need a complex method that is a mixed method. One form of the Mixed method is called Neuroresearch. Basically, this Neuroresearch method uses content analysis method as qualitative research (exploratory), then deepens the result of content analysis with quantitative research method (explanatory and confirmatory research). Further explanatory and confirmatory research results are deepened through qualitative research in the form of implications of research results to create new policies, new strategies and new efforts through focus group discussion.

In Malaysia, division of inheritance is based on the Shafie madhhab (school of law), whereby when there is a surplus of inheritance after distribution to rightful heirs or when there are no rightful heirs, the residual inheritance is surrendered to the Baitulmal. However, there are challenges which need to be dealt with by Baitulmal in order that the inheritance may be utilised for the well-being of the whole society. Hence, the objective of this article is to highlight the basic conceptual framework and role of Baitulmal in addition to identifying the challenges in management of inheritance vested in Baitulmal. This qualitative research applies a content analysis design, and results are elaborated and presented descriptively. Research results find that there are differences between Baitulmals role during the golden age of Islam and its unique practice in Malaysia. Besides that, there are challenges identified in management of inheritance by Baitulmal which need to be overcome and harmonised in order to preserve the maslahah (public interest) and public welfare of the entire Muslim society in Malaysia.

In this article, part of a masters study, aims to investigate the perceptions of undergraduates in Pedagogy about the experience of education proposal in science and mathematics in an interdisciplinary perspective. To that end, a qualitative research was developed in which we used for data production, the activities carried out by the students, a questionnaire and an interview with the teacher trainers who participated in a proposal of interdisciplinary work carried out in the disciplines of Theoretical and Methodological Foundations and School Practice in Science I and Theoretical and Methodological Foundations and School Practice in Mathematics I of a Pedagogy course of a public university in Minas Gerais. For data analysis, we are guided in the theory of content analysis. The data analyzes, based on the theory of the content analysis, showed that the undergraduates had clarity that their education in science and mathematics teaching could not be based on the perspective of the transmission, but in a process that seeks to articulate the conceptsand contents of the different disciplines. In this way, they valued interdisciplinarity as a possibility of integration and as a facilitator of the teaching and learning process.

METHOD OF CONTENT ANALYSIS: contributions to qualitative research in Geography teachingMÉTODO DE ANÁLISIS DE CONTENIDO: contribuciones a la investigación cualitativa en la enseñanza de la GeografíaRESUMOAborda-se nesse artigo a pesquisa qualitativa como método de pesquisa.
