Impacts of Personal Characteristics on Computer Attitude and Academic Users Information System Satisfaction

This study evaluated the relationships between three personal characteristics on computer attitude and user satisfaction. The three personal characteristics tested were gender, computer experience, and overall academic performance. Survey results revealed that computer experience and gender make a significant difference in the computer attitude of the respondents. However, the three personal characteristics did not make a significant difference in academic computer system user satisfaction. Also found is a significant moderating effect of the three personal characteristics on the relationship between computer attitude and user satisfaction. Women, those with moderate computer experience, and those with low academic performance tend to show stronger relationships between computer attitude and computer user information system satisfaction than their counterparts.

This Reseach examine influence user participation and top management motivation to user satisfaction in improvement of accountong information system: user skill as moderating variabel. This reseach is done in PT Telkon Divre V Surabaya, the sampel are 30 respondent by multiple regretion analysis.The result is 99,6% (R2) is large of influence independent variable to user satisfaction in improvement accounting information system. The result of examine H1 is user participation significant influence by user skill as moderating variable dan top management variable significant influence to user satisfaction in improvment accounting information system.

ABSTRAK/ABSTRACT Penggunaan sistem informasi dalam pelayanan kefarmasian diharapkan membantu farmasis untuk melakukan pengelolaan obat. Suatu sistem informasi farmasi yang dikembangkan perlu dilakukan uji coba dan evaluasi sebelum diimplementasikan di suatu institusi. Tujuan penelitian untuk melakukan evaluasi sistem informasi farmasi dan mengetahui hubungan antara kualitas sistem informasi farmasi terhadap pengguna sistem informasi farmasi. Penelitian merupakan penelitian cross sectional dengan pendekatan analitik, dilakukan di puskesmas kota Yogyakarta. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian adalah 15 apoteker pengelola obat di puskesmas kota Yogyakarta yang bersedia mengisi kuesioner. Data yang diperoleh adalah data tingkat penggunaan, kepuasan pengguna, kualitas sistem, kualitas informasi, kualitas layanan, dan manfaat penggunaan sistem informasi farmasi. Data dianalisis dengan korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kualitas teknologi, pengguna, dan manfaat penggunaan sistem informasi farmasi dinilai cukup baik oleh responden dengan nilai 53,33 - 93,33%. Tidak ada hubungan antara kualitas PSS terhadap pengguna sistem informasi farmasi (r = 0,360; p > 0,05). Ada hubungan antara pengguna informasi farmasi terhadap manfaat penggunaan sistem informasi farmasi (r = 0,758; p < 0,05). Kata kunci: kualitas sistem informasi farmasi, pengguna sistem informasi farmasi, pengelolaan obat, puskesmas    The use of information system in pharmaceutical care is expected to help pharmacist to manage the drug. Pharmaceutical information system needed to be tested before implementation. The aim of the study is to evaluate the pharmaceutical information system and analyze the correlation between quality of pharmaceutical information system, user of pharmaceutical information system, and net benefit. This study was analytical study with cross sectional design in Yogyakarta primary health center. The instruments were questionnaire and interview. The respondent of the study was 15 pharmacists in Yogyakarta primary health center that willing to fill out the questionnaire. The data that gained was system use, user satisfaction, system quality, information quality, service quality, and net benefit then to be analyzed with Pearson correlation. The result of the study was quite good in pharmaceutical information system quality, user of pharmaceutical information system, and net benefit (53,33 -93,33%). There was no correlation between quality of pharmaceutical information system to user. There was correlation between pharmaceutical information system user to net benefit (r = 0,758; p < 0,05). This study aims to examine the effect of skills, abilities, education and training on the satisfaction of users of accounting information. The research method uses quantitative methods. The sample in this study were UNPAM students who worked as accounting and had received education and accounting information system training and training. The results of this study are the influence of skills on the satisfaction of users of accounting information, there is an influence on the ability of users of accounting information satisfaction and there is no influence of education and training on the satisfaction of users of accounting information.

The rapid development of Information Technology (IT) today provides many conveniences in various forms of business, including the service business. System User Satisfaction (User satisfaction) is the response and feedback that the user raises after using the information system. This study aims to obtain empirical evidence regarding the use of SIMPRODI application products and how SIMPRODI can provide good services for students. The survey research method was carried out and the data collected was 252 data. The data was then analyzed by PLS-SEM. The results showed that the quality of the system did not have a significant effect on the SIMPRODI intention to use, but the quality of information and quality of service was significant on the intention to use, then when the intention to use was higher the user satisfaction was better and vice versa when the SIMPRODI user satisfaction was high then intention to use is also getting higher.

In many countries, university libraries are required to demonstrate quantitatively their value to their institutions. Consequently, many universities spend a large part of their institutional budgets on acquiring new library books, paying for high online journal subscription fees, and recruiting library staff. However, few studies have been conducted to evaluate the contribution of the university libraries to the students' success. Thus, this study, which applied a quantitative survey methodology to quantify the contribution of a Namibian university library to student academic performance, was conducted. The study determined the contribution of the university library services to students' academic performance. Additionally, the study established a relationship between students' library service satisfaction and academic performance. Analysis of library user satisfaction, student age, and gender were also examined.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bagaimana evaluasi Sistem Informasi Prakerin Pendidikan Teknik Inforamatika (PTI) dari segi kegunaanya, keefektivan, keefisienan, dan kepuasan pengguna dalam menggunakan Sistem Informasi Prakerin PTI. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode usability testing. Sampel dalam penelitian ini mahasiswa dan dosen PTI sebanyak 6 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik Performance Measurement dan Retrospective Think Aloud (RTA). Dengan teknik tersebut akan dicari hasil data kuantitatif dan kualitatifnya. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan kuisioner Sistem Usability Scale (SUS) untuk mengukur kepuasan penggunanya. Hasil penelitian diperoleh 1.Sistem Informasi Prakerin PTI masih belum efektif. Karena masih ada error yang dilakukan responden mahasiswa atau dosen dalam melaksanakan tugas yang diberikan. 2.Sistem Informasi Praekrin PTI dilihat dari hasil penghitungan waktu pelaksanaan tugas antara responden pemula atau mahir tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Jadi Sistem Informasi Prakerin PTI bisa dikatakan efisien. 3.Dalam kepuasan pengguna sistem Informasi Prakerin PTI masih kurang. Dari hasil rekapitulasi kuisioner SUS yang didapat dihitung dengan menggunakan berbandingan Mann Whitney U-Test hasilnya adalah untuk responden mahasiswa 62,08 dan responden dosen 60,42. Karena masih lebih kecil dari 68 responden dikatakan belum puas. 4.Rekomendasi yang diberikan responden yaitu perlu ditambah menu data diri, halaman ubah password, dan dalam form isi nilai ditambahkan keterangan nilai yang harus diisi.Kata Kunci : Survei, Sistem Informasi Prakerin PTI, Performance Measurement, RTA, Efektivitas, Efisiensi, Kepuasan pengguna, Rekomendasi This research aims to find out how evaluation Information System Prakerin Educational Engineering Inforamatika (PTI) in terms of usability, effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction in using Information Systems Prakerin PTI. So Information System Prakerin PTI can be said to be efficient. 3.In the user satisfaction System Information Prakerin PTI still less. From the result of recapitulation of SUS questionnaire which was obtained was calculated by using Mann Whitney U-Test result was for student respondent 62,08 and lecturer respondent 60,42. This paper discusses student perception of the academic climate of the School of Business in a private university in Tijuana, México. With the participation of 257 students out of 348 enrolled in five academic programs, the survey results show that students perceive that the criteria that make up the academic climate occur “Always” in 18%; 78% of the criteria occur “Frequently” 2% of the aspects takes place “Sometimes” and another 2% of the criteria occurs “Never”. There was a significant difference among the results of the nine semesters, while no significant differences were found between the results of the five academic programs and gender analysis. This paper provides information to higher education academic leaders for the design of educational quality improvement strategic actions.

The demand for information system authentication has significantly increased over the last decade. Research has shown that the majority of user authentications remain to be password based, however, it is well documented that passwords have significant limitations. To address this issue, companies have been placing increased requirements on the user to ensure their passwords are more complex and consequently stronger with little consideration on the impact on employee productivity. Thus, this study was set to determine the effects of changing the password strength (cognitive load) over time and its impact on employee productivity. An experiment with two experimental groups and one control group was conducted. Data was collected on the number of failed operating system logon attempts, users’ logon times, task completion times, and number of reset requests. The data collected from 72 participants was analyzed for group differences and when controlling for computer experience, age, and gender. Our results showed significant differences on all measures between the three groups. However, no significant differences were observed when controlling for computer experience, age, and gender. Furthermore, the results indicated a significant difference between the user’s perceptions about passwords before and after the experiment. Our results may help organizations to realize the point at which increasing authentication places a higher cognitive load on the users, which in turn affects their productivity.
