Abstract— Prof. Soeparwi Veterinary Hospital is one of veterinary medical service providers in Yogyakarta ad Central Java areas in which the transaction and the documentation managing process is still done manually. Therefore, Prof. Soeparwi VH needs a management information system that facilitate them in managing process and documentation of transactions, one of which is through billing or billing subsystem. This subsystem was designed using UML and was developed in a form of web-based prototype using PHP and HTML languages as well as CSS with CodeIgniter framework and MySQL for database.  The development of this billing subsystem applied a Rapid Application Development (RAD) model process that focused on the working model and obtained feedback from users to improve the system. Results of this system's development were evaluated with a system feasibility test and functionality test. A system feasibility test was administered by distributing Likert scale questionnaire and analysed them based on a summated rating scale method which showed a result of 85.4%. That result indicates that users strongly agree that the system has met their needs.  The system functionality was tested using a black box method and the result was that the system properly functioned. This billing subsystem could process transaction bills automatically included in the calculation. This system produced bills and reports that could be printed and exported. In addition, data was stored in a database so that it supported paperless documentation.

The agricultural sector is in a unique position due to its strategic importance around the world. It is crucial for both citizens (consumers) and the economy (both regional and global), which, ideally, should ensure that the whole sector is a network of interacting organisations. It is important to develop new tools, management methods, and applications to improve the management and logistic operations of agricultural producers (farms) and agricultural service providers. From a geospatial perspective, this involves identifying cost optimization pathways, reducing transport, reducing environmental loads, and improving the energy balance, while maintaining production levels, etc. <br><br> This paper describes the benefits of, and open issues arising from, the development of the Open Farm Management Information System. Emphasis is placed on descriptions of available remote sensing and other geospatial data, and their harmonization, processing, and presentation to users. At the same time, the FOODIE platform also offers a novel approach of yield potential estimations. Validation for one farm demonstrated 70% successful rate when comparing yield results at a farm counting 1’284 hectares on one hand and results of a theoretical model of yield potential on the other hand. The presented Open Farm Management Information System has already been successfully registered under Phase 8 of the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) Architecture Implementation Pilot in order to support the wide variety of demands that are primarily aimed at agriculture and water pollution monitoring by means of remote sensing.

Client/server application development is becoming increasingly popular in commercial organizations. However, previous research has found that current application development methodologies provide little or no support for client/server computing possibly due to the relative newness of the technology in commercial environments. This research is the first step in demonstrating the applicability of the client/server methodology enhancements proposed in a commercial Management Information System (MIS) environment. It examines the application of traditional development methodologies to the client/server environment, the problems associated in using these methodologies and the respondent's rating of the importance of the various client/server application development issues included in the proposed methodology.

Indonesia is one of the largest culinary attractions in Southeast Asia. The culinary diversity in Indonesia encourages stakeholders to create restaurant businesses with effective and efficient business processes. One of the efforts to make the restaurant business process effective and efficient is to build a restaurant management information system. By using a system, business actors will be able to control and evaluate their business with appropriate reports. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to build a restaurant management information system using the RAD (Rapid Application Development) method, because building this application requires a systematic, structured, and object-oriented process. The RAD method emphasizes a high quality systems, fast development and delivery and low costs development process [1] so that this process requires a serious role from business actors to build a restaurant management information system.   The results of this system design can make it easier for business actors to control the business process from the customer to the kitchen so that the food and beverage ordering process will be served quickly. The GUI restaurant management information system is made interactively so that customers and business actors can easily understand the system. The test results of this system use black-box testing, with the conclusion that the system is successful to run.
