This study examined strategic outsourcing and corporate performance of commercial banks in Nigeria. The decision to outsource is driven by the perception of management on how organization can achieve corporate effectiveness and efficiency with outsourcing strategy. This study specifically focused on two objectives; to investigate the relationship between strategic outsourcing and corporate performance and to ascertain the correlation between recruitment outsourcing and corporate performance. The study used a total number of twenty two (22) commercial banks listed in the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) as at 31st January 2021 in its study. Primary data were collected from the population of the study with the aid of structured questionnaire and data were analyzed through descriptive statistics and the two hypotheses formulated were tested by Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) with the use of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The results of the study revealed a significant positive relationship between strategic outsourcing and corporate performance and a significant positive relationship between recruitment outsourcing and corporate performance. The study concluded that strategic outsourcing and recruitment outsourcing have positive relationship with corporate performance. The study, therefore, recommends that corporate organizations that want to achieve significant performance in their operations should outsource some of their activities that are outside its core competence.

The wave of the recent financial crisis has reawakened interest in corporate governance as well as the relationship between executive compensation and corporate performance. Notably, corporate governance has been presented as a mechanism to absorb fiscal crisis faced in emerging economies. The principal aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between CEO compensation and corporate performance among commercial banks operating in a small emerging market, namely Jordan. Primary data were collected for a sample of 13 Jordanian commercial banks listed at Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) during the period of 2010 -2016. The findings of this paper suggest that corporate performance measured by return on equity (ROE) and return on assets (ROA) has no influence on CEO compensation. Furthermore, this paper examines the impact of a firm’s size on the relationship between CEO compensation and corporate performance. The results reveal a significant relationship between executive compensation and firm’s performance among the smaller sample firms.

<p><em>This study analyzed the effect of the elements from fraud triangle, which included pressure (LEV, ROA, ACHANGE), opportunity (BDOUT), and rationalization (AUDCHANGE) in detecting fraudulent financial statement. Control variables that will be included in this study are firm’s age, firm’s size, liquidity risk, and managerial ownership. The sample that will be used in this study is non-financial companies that are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in the periode of 2011-2016. From the result, this study showed that change of assets (ACHANGE) and change of auditors (AUDCHANGE) has a significant positive relationship with the fraudulent financial statement, while the other variables such as leverage (LEV), return on asset (ROA) and ineffective monitoring (BDOUT) has no significant in the relationship with the fraudulent financial statement.</em></p><p>Penelitian ini meneliti pengaruh dari elemen <em>fraud triangle</em>, yaitu tekanan (LEV, ROA, ACHANGE), kesempatan (BDOUT), dan rasionalisasi (AUDCHANGE) dalam mendeteksi kecurangan laporan keuangan. Variabel kontrol yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah umur perusahaan, ukuran perusahaan, <em>liquidity risk, </em>dan kepemilikan manajerial. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah perusahaan non-keuangan yang terdaftar pada Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) selama periode 2011-2016. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut ditemukan variabel perubahan aset (ACHANGE) dan pergantian auditor (AUDCHANGE) memiliki pengaruh signifikan positif terhadap kecurangan laporan keuangan, sedangkan variabel lainnya yaitu <em>leverage </em>(LEV), <em>return on asset </em>(ROA) dan <em>ineffective monitoring </em>(BDOUT) memiliki pengaruh yang tidak signifikan terhadap kecurangan laporan keuangan</p>

The ultimate goal of all activities within organizations is to achieve higher growth and finding new sources for mounting firm capital. This study aims to investigate debt capacity as the source of firm capital and its impact on firm’s growth. The objectives of this research to shows the relationship between market to book ratio and debt to asset ratio. Multiple liner regression is used between Growth and book leverage. By selected pharmaceutical sector that has been listed at Karachi stock exchange in Pakistan. In this research 8 companies are selected that are listed at Karachi Stock Exchange during the period of 2005-2014. In this paper secondary data is used. The result reveals a significant positive relationship between the debt to asset ratio and market to book ratio and debt to asset ratio. It displays that there is no negative effect of debt capacity on firm’s growth.

The study examines board size and corporate performance of quoted companies in Nigeria. The objectives of the study are to examine the relationship between board size and total asset of quoted Nigerian banks; to examine the relationship between board size and total revenue of quoted Nigerian banks; to examine the relationship between board size and net profit of quoted Nigerian banks. The study adopted panel research design and census survey approach. The population of this research consists of 21 commercial banks in Nigeria. Data were collected from secondary sources that is audited financial statements. The findings of the study showed that there is a negative relationship between board size and total assets; there is a positive relationship between board size and gross revenue; there is a positive relationship between board size and Net profit. From the above findings, the study concluded that there is a relationship exist between board size and corporate performance of quoted Nigerian banks. The study further recommend that commercial banks and quoted firms must ensure that a proper board of directors is composed in other to institute standards and controls that will boost the net income of the firm; regulatory bodies should ensure that firms constitute a board with a standard size of seven members. The board also must have professionals who have requisite knowledge in the business; firm’s board must ensure that the committees in the board are most effective in safeguarding the asset of the organization and should continuously make decisions that will boost the revenue and net profit of the firm.

The objective of the study was to examine the relationship between lending rate and nonperforming loans in commercial banks of Pakistan. The study collects data on bank size and nonperforming loans from the annual reports of commercial banks and lending rates data was collected from the state bank of Pakistan statistical bulletins for the period of 2008-2014 and the data was analyzed through SPSS to examine the relationship between lending rate and nonperforming loans. The study used correlation and regression methods. The study found a significant positive relationship between lending rate and nonperforming loans in commercial banks of Pakistan

The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between chief executive officer (CEO) characteristics, absorptive capacity, and e-commerce adoption in SMMEs. To achieve this objective, the study analyzed primary data gathered from 2675 small, medium, and micro enterprises (SMMEs) in China. A logistic regression model was employed to estimate how the CEO characteristics and absorptive capacity of SMMEs influenced their e-commerce adoption. The study revealed a significant positive relationship between CEO information ability, confidence, and e-commerce adoption. Additionally, this study confirmed a positive relationship between absorptive capacity and the adoption of e-commerce.

The present article aims to evaluate the relationship between economic spread and market value for all firms, except financials, listed in the Athens Stock Exchange over the period 2000~2004. Specifically, this relationship was examined both on a whole market and on an industry basis. The sample firms were classified into six industries, namely consumer cyclical, basic materials, consumer non-cyclical, industrial, technology, and communications. In doing so a regression analysis was performed having economic spread as the independent variable and the ratio of market value over the invested capital as the dependent variable. Economic spread is defined as the difference between the return on invested capital and the weighted average cost of capital and indicates the net return a firm achieves for the capital it uses in its operations. Market value of a firm is defined as the sum of the market value of equity plus the market value of debt. The results for the whole market showed that there is a statistically significant positive relationship between economic spread and market value in 66.67% of the cases. On the industry basis the results showed a positive relationship between the two variables in all sectors except the technology one.

This paper investigates the relationship between the managerial entrenchment and cash holding adjustments for a sample of 140 firms listed in the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) during 2011 to 2016. To measure the managerial entrenchment, four indicators of manager's duality, management reward, dividends, and over-investment risk were employed. A multiple linear regression model was used in order to test the hypotheses of the research. The results indicate that when management rewards were used to measure the managerial entrenchment, there is a significant positive relationship between the management rewards and cash holding adjustments. Also, there is a significant positive relationship between the over- investment risk and cash holding adjustments. Cash holding speed was found to have a significant positive effect on the relationship between dividend (managerial entrenchment) and cash holding adjustments. These results suggest a significant positive relationship between the managerial entrenchment and cash holding adjustments.

The purpose of the research is to know the relationship between corporate governance and non financial corporate performance. The rating of corporate governance perception index (CGPI) is used by the Indonesian Intitute for Corporate Governance to meansure the corporate governance implementation, employee productivity as a business internal prespective measurement, and employee development corverage as a learning and growth perspective measurement. This research also uses control variable that are activa composition and growth opportunities. Using a multiple regression to test the hypothesis that corporate governance and non financial corporate performance are positively related. The analysis shows that there is a significant positive relationship between corporate governance index and employee productivity, but there is no significant positive between corporate governance and employee development coverage.

Love is more than a close friendship. It acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationship. Love is positive in nature and leaves a positive affect on every individual. An individual in love not only feels positive but spreads positivity around. They smile, be kind to other people, behave compassionately with everyone. If the person is happy then he is likely to be psychologically and emotionally healthy. The current study aimed at understanding the relationship between love, affect and wellbeing among young females aged between 20-25 years. The study reported a significant positive relationship between love and positive affect with the significant correlation of 0.29 at 0.05 levels (p<0.05). It was also found a significant positive relationship between love and wellbeing with the significant correlation of 0.58 at 0.01 level (p<0.01). This means that people in love experience positive emotions and healthy wellbeing. The correlation between love and negative affect came out to be insignificant. The correlation turned out to be -0.13. This means that people in love do not experience negative emotions.
