The aim of this research is to classify the kinds, functions of taboo words, and the factors which cause the characters use the taboo words in the movie. Data were analyzed by using taboo words theory by Michael Swan and factors underlying cursing theory by Timothy Jay. The data were taken from 21 Jump Street movie. In this research, library research method is used in analyzing taboo words in 21 Jump Street movie. The procedures of the research are: first, the movie is watched and the topics for the paper are found. Second, the theory in the books and internet are found. Third, the movie script is searched and the taboo words are classified. The last, the taboo words in 21 Jump Street movie are discussed and analyzed by using Michael Swan and Timothy Jay theories. Based on the result of the analysis, there are three kinds of taboo word that found in 21 Jump Street movie: (1) religion, (2) private parts of the body and sexual activity, and (3) lavatory. Private parts of the body and sexual activity has the biggest number of occurrence, while the smallest number of taboo words’ kind is religion. There are six functions of using taboo words that I found in the movie. They are: insult, exclamation of annoyance, surprised question, exclamation of surprise, emphasize an emotion, and miscellaneous. The most appeared function is to insult and the smallest is as a surprised question. Furthermore, the reason of the characters in 21 Jump Street movie to used taboo words are based on the situation and context. On the other hand, there are three reasons of using taboo words which found in the movie, such as psychological condition, social class, and ethnic group. Psychological condition has the biggest number of occurrence, while the smallest is social class.

Taboo words are words that are strictly prohibited to be used due to the fact that they may cause misunderstanding or conflict and are not appropriate. Therefore, it is important to understand taboo words in order to avoid using inappropriate words.This studyexamines the use of taboo words by the characters in Dallas Buyers Club movie. It focuses on the types of taboo words and reasons that influence the characters to use taboo words in the movie. This study used content analysis method as the research method. The sources of data were the movie and its transcription. The researchers obtained the data from the characters’ utterances. This study finds there are five types of taboo words, namely cursing, profanity, obscenity, epithet and sexual harassment. Cursing is the most frequently taboo word used by the characters in the movie. The researchers also find that he reasons for using the taboo words are humor, psychological condition, ethnic group identity and social class. Psychological condition is the dominant reason for the characters’ use of taboo words. The result of this study provides an in-depth understanding of the usage of English taboo words in movies that might influence young English learners.

The lecture method is one of the methods that are often used by teachers in teaching and learning activities. This method is a method that is easy to implement and also cheap, because without the media and infrastructure it can be done. Some people underestimate this method and some even argue that it is outdated and left behind. According to the author's observations, this method remains relevant in any situation and condition, especially if a teacher is someone who is proficient in communicating and understanding the psychological condition and level of ability of the students he or she faces. The point is khootibunnaasa 'alaa qodri uqulihim (speak to humans according to their level of knowledge). The writing of this article uses the library research method, namely by digging and reviewing the literature that is related to the theme of writing this article. The results of the study and the author's study related to this lecture learning method are still very relevant and effective, especially during this covid-19 pandemic. By taking into account the following points; first, a teacher understands the science of communication well, second, understands the psychological condition of the audience/students, third, is able to touch students' emotions, fourth, includes elements of humor and is good at telling stories, fifth, is able to use social media and technology well.

Ada yang memandang bahwa seni merupakan suatu hal yang dilarang olah Nabi. Disisi lain, ada yang memandang bahwa seni merupakan salah satu yang dianjurkan oleh Nabi</span><span>, b</span><span lang="IN">aik </span><span>dalam </span><span lang="IN">seni musik, seni menggambar, seni melukis, dan </span><span>seni lainnya</span><span lang="IN">. Tujuan penelitian ini akan mengkaji seni dalam sudut pandang ma’ani al-hadis<em> </em>terhadap teks-teks hadis dengan melihat <em>sosio-historis</em> dan implikasinya terhadap Islam. There are those who think that art is something that was forbidden by the Prophet. On the other hand, there are those who think that art is one of the things that the Prophet likes, </span><span>such as</span><span lang="IN"> music, drawing, painting art, and other arts. The purpose of this research is to examine art from the perspective of ma'ani al-hadith towards hadith texts by looking at the socio-historical and its implications for Islam. This is what Muslim scholars need to fix so that the Prophet's traditions are interpreted objectively without leaving the text and context of the hadiths being conveyed. Iqrar is a form of bayyinah or evidence which could be tendered during trial at the syariah court. The syariah evidential principles renders it relevant and admissible with varying effect. Iqrar sorih or confession, once admitted by court, would become binding against the accused. In such a scenario, the court may convict the accused based on such confession without any need for further proof. On the other hand, the court may also admit an admission or iqrar kinayah but it could never convict the accused based on such admission alone. In other words, based on admissibility of such admission, a court could only convict the accused should such admission is further corroborated and strengthened by other evidence. This article however observes that the strength of a confession very mush depends on voluntariness of the maker of the confession. There is also some confusion among syariah practitioners as regards to the difference between both forms of iqrar. The conducted research is pure legal and qualitative in nature. Data and materials on iqrar confession and admission are collected via library research method. These data and materials are then analysed using critical and content methodologies.. This article analyses the relevancy and admissibility of iqrar confession and admission in the eyes of syariah evidential principles. It then strives at identifying problems relating to its admissibility and interpretation. This article eventually offers some ideas on ways of avoiding future misinterpretation of iqrar while simultaneously looking into some ideas on how to improve its application.

As well as other learning process, the successful Arabic learning can be achieved through several steps. This study aims to explain those steps, and it uses library research. Method of this study covers finding data and sources related to the contrastive analysis in Arabic learning; analyzing the data as well as the sources; and drawing conclusion. The approach used in the learning process can be categorized as a learning difficult foreign language, if it is considered as the perspective in understanding the material. The difficult language is particularly the one that has different systems/subsystems with mother tongue. On the other hand, if the approach is considered as a belief, the successful key to achieve is the use of contrastive analysis. We have to work hard to overcome students' learning difficulties by doing contrastive approach and analysis firstly. However, the most significant part is the goal using contrastive analysis. As the result of this study, hopefully learning Arabic occurs progressively, and absolutely the teaching materials and learning steps need teachers’ ability in mastering the contrasted languages. That is the main factor in achieving the learning to be developed further in using this approach.

Abstract Bawean is an archipelago administratively included in Gresik Regency, where the main occupation of the people is farming and fishing, but not all of the people have land to farm and ships to go to sea, and not a few who work in Malaysia and Singapore have even become citizens of that country. so that the land and rice fields below are unproductive, so there is cooperation between landowners and tenants or cultivators, in agricultural practices, landowners and processors or workers often make contracts and agreements in such cooperation, as well as in the village of Lebak, the agreement sees to the weather, or irrigation used to irrigate rice fields, and the yields obtained during the rainy season in certain months are different, there are at least three cooperation systems in the muzara'ah contract implemented there, in this study the three systems were analyzed to determine which in accordance with Islamic law , of the three, there are two agreements that use the muzara’ah contract, and the other one uses the ijarah agreement or lease agreement. In recent decades, Islamic educational institutions have been widely established in Indonesia. More importantly, these Islamic educational institutions have affiliations with Islamic organizations such as Muhammadiyah, Nahdlatul Ulama, Nahdlatul Wathan in Lombok and even transnational Islamic organizations such as salafis. This study is focused on searching and analyzing to find a balance between the development of creativity and the ideological doctrine that exists in the body of Islamic education affiliated with Islamic organizations. The research method used is library research or literature study with a philosophical approach. This research proves that: (1) creativity finds its form in the ijtihad space as an effort to produce new perspectives; (2) embedded religious ideology contained in the curriculum taught in Aswaja and NU's Education, Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan, NW's, and salafi management; (3) Islamic education is not only limited to the doctrination of religious idoelogi alone.

This paper is entitled Analysis of Slangs Used by Characters in Movie Script “I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell”. The aims of this study are to identify and classify based on the types of slang word, this paper also described the context of situation of slang used in the movie script I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell. The data source was taken from the movie script I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell (2009). The data collection was conducted through library research method and note taking technique. The first step was done through reading attentively, noting the slang word, and classifying based on the types of slang and context of situation. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative method with the theory of Allan and Burridge (2006) for types of slang and theory of context of situation proposed by Holmes (2013). The result of analysis shows that there are four types of slang used by character in I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell movie script. Meanwhile, for the context of situation there are four components. The meaning behind each slang words and phrases in I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell movie script depends on the context of situation. Besides, the interpretation of meaning takes important roles in the analysis.

Pragmatics is branch of linguistics studies that attracts the writer to learn more about it. This study aims to identify the directive speech acts performed in “The Fault in Our Stars” movie script. Moreover, this study investigated how often the direct speech acts performed and which type of directive speech acts that are most frequently used in the movie script. The writer uses qualitative research method by collecting data from read the movie script, analyzing the dialogues of each characters, watch the movie and read the library research. A total of 40 directive speech acts were successfully identified. The result of analysis shows that the illocutionary acts with directive speech acts of suggest is the most frequently in the movie script (3, 50%). The least frequently used locutionary with the directive speech acts of order in the movie script (0, 0%). This study is expected to give some useful insights in understanding what directive speech acts is.  The writer hopes people can not only produce speech acts in their daily activities, but also understand why and how people react or response directive speech acts. Keywords: Directive speech acts, movie script, dialogues, qualitative.

This paper explores how Abdullah Yusuf Ali interpreted the Jews in his tafseer book; The Holy Qur’an: Text, Translation and Commentary. His interpretation becomes worth to discuss due to his profile as a Moslem officer of Great Britain which politically supported the contemporary Jews in Israel. Additionally, Yusuf Ali was the big fan of the concept of inter-faith dialogue. On the other hand, he was so proud of being a Moslem so that he wrote an English translation and commentary of the Koran in order international society can understand Islam well. This paper is going to show how Yusuf Ali put himself as a Moslem and at the same time, a Britain officer, (and also admirer) who also lived in non-Moslem milieus. The discussion will explore two parts. The first one is the diction(s) used by Yusuf Ali to interpret the Jews verses, while the second is the contemporary contextualization on his interpretation on Jews verses into nowadays life. Using library research method through primary and secondary references combined with a hermeneutical approach, this paper comes to the following conclusion. First, there found five dictions to mention the Jews at the Jews verses, which are Jews, those who followed the Jewish law, those that stand on Judaism, those who follow the spirit of Moses and those who follow the Jewish scripture.  Second, by the diverse diction, Yusuf Ali implied that The Jews is all about the spirit and physical action of individual instead of religious institution or affiliation.
