This study aims to generate the valid and practical PISA-like mathematics problems on uncertainty and data using the football game context of Asian Games. It also aims to see the potential effects of the problems towards the high school students’ mathematical ability. This study used a design research methodology with the type of development study which was divided into two stages, namely preliminary stage and formative evaluation stage. The preliminary stage covered the analysis of research subjects, curriculum analysis, PISA framework and creating a question instrument. The formative evaluation stage included the one to one consisting of three students together with expert review consisting of two validators, small group consisting of six students, and then the field test. This study produced valid and practical PISA-like mathematics problems on uncertainty and data content which have a potential effect on the senior high school students’ mathematical literacy ability. The validity was determined based on the expert review, while the practicality was determined based on one-to-one and small group assessment. The students' mathematical literacy abilities appeared during the research were communication, reasoning and argument, and devising strategies for problem-solving.

This research aimed to produce questions of mathematical literacy ability of Mathematical literacy ability on Triangular material for Class VII Junior High School students that are valid and practical and have a good level of difficulty and discriminatory index. This research used the Tessmer development model. Tessmer's development stages include preliminary, self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one, and small group. The test subjects of this study were class VII students of SMP Negeri 02 Kepahiang, totaling 30 students. The selection of test subjects includes high, medium and low abilities. The data analysis technique of this study used qualitative analysis at the expert review and one to one stage and quantitative analysis at the small group stage by analyzing items based on the level of difficulty and discriminating power index. The results of the research show that the 10 questions developed, 10 questions with indicators of mathematical literacy ability on triangular material are valid and practical, 7 questions are said to be good based on the level of difficulty and discriminatory index, so that they can be used by all students of SMPN 02 Kepahiang.

The aims of this study were (1) to generate PISA mathematics quetions of uncertaint context with the integrated data from LRT, Damri and Transmusi (Trialmusi). (2) is there any potential effect from PISA mathematics questions of uncertain context with the integrated data from LRT, Damri and Transmusi (Trialmusi) towards students’ mathematical literacy abilities of junior high school students. The subjects of this research are the students of junior high school number 1 Palembang. This research applied design research with development study type, with 2 steps, preliminary and formative evaluaions steps. In preliminary step, there were analazying the subject research, curriculum, PISA framework, and designing instrumental questions. In formative evaluation step, there were self evaluation, expert reviews and one to one, small group and field test. The data collection in this research apllied walk trough, documentation, observation, interview and test. This research generated PISA math questions of uncertain context. With the valid and practical integrated data from trialmusi. The validation came from the result of validation assessment, which were from context, construct, language and one to one students’ assessment. Practical came from the result of student understanding towards small group question. Then from the students’ answers in the field test steps.

The study aims to produce the e-learning physics of Newton's legal material to develop the critical thinking skills of high school students who have higher and practical validity rates. The model of development research used is Rowntree models. The evaluation phase used is Tessmer's formative evaluation consisting of four phases: Self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation. Data collection techniques using walkthroughs and polls. This level of e-learning validity is judged by three experts, namely in material aspects, learning design aspects, and e-learning aspects as well as data analysis using the Aiken V Index to determine the consensus of the experts. The results of the development of e-learning indicate that the resulting media is suitable for use in learning physics. This can be seen from the Aiken V index value of 0.94 with a high level of validity category. Meanwhile, one-to-one evaluation and small group evaluation are obtained by average result of 81.84% and 90.00% and also includes very practical category.

This article reports the development of a career education program for gifted high school students in a New South Wales selective, coeducational high school. The program replaced a previous approach that was demand-responsive, generic in approach, and not aligned with student needs. A needs analysis of the school and a formative evaluation were undertaken to ensure successful redevelopment of the program. These evaluations resulted in the following changes to the school's program: earlier and more flexible career awareness opportunities; increased scope for clarification of values; inclusion of psychological, psychocreative, and social elements; integration of career education and student welfare; lifelong learning emphases; aspiration enhancement for particular students; strategy employment for females; and an expansion in community learning opportunities. A program influenced by these elements was then highlighted as a best-practice exemplar.

This article aims to develop a Civics module with Islamic values on the rights and obligations of high school students in elementary schools. This research is development research (R&D). This research uses a development research model. The steps in this research are: (1) potential and problems, (2) data collection, (3) product design, (4) module validation, (5) module design revision, (6) limited module trial, (7 ) Revision of modules, (8) The final product of the Civics module has Islamic values that meet the valid and practical criteria. The development process includes product design and product validation. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation and questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that the PPKn module has Islamic value. The material of rights and obligations developed has met the very valid criteria. This is evidenced by the average results of expert validation of 96% and 90% with very valid criteria. The Civics module has Islamic values. The material of Rights and Obligations developed has met the practical criteria. This is evidenced by the results of the questionnaire from the small group trial. The score is 86.34% with very practical criteria. From the small group trial, it was concluded that the module developed was very valid and practical.

This article describes the following phenomenon: Gifted high school students trained in solving Olympiad-style mathematics problems experienced conflict between their conceptions of effectiveness and elegance (the EEC). This phenomenon was observed while analyzing clinical task-based interviews that were conducted with three members of the Israeli team participating in the International Mathematics Olympiad. We illustrate how the conflict between the students’ conceptions of effectiveness and elegance is reflected in their geometrical problem solving, and analyze didactical and epistemological roots of the phenomenon.
