Hidden curriculum helps manifest the development of students’ religious characters; however, it is often neglected and not used properly in the learning process. The questions posed in this study include: How is the implementation of the hidden curriculum in the development of the religious characters of students? To what extent the hidden curriculum influences the development of the religious characters of students? and What is the impact of the hidden curriculum on the formation of the religious characters of students? This mixed methods study obtained data by means of questionnaire, interview, and observation. The subject of the study had a sample size of 153. The study employed the SPSS ver. 25 to analyze the quantitative data, whereas the qualitative data were presented descriptively. The findings indicate that the hidden curriculum has been applied inside and outside the classroom. The study revealed that the hidden curriculum implemented at Dayah Jeumala Amal and Dayah Al-Furqan reached the medium level of 40% and of 34.78%, respectively and also created students with high religious characters of 51.54% and of 43.48%, respectively. Further, the simple linear regression test obtained the value of 0.00, at the level of significance α = 0.005, indicating that there was an influence of the hidden curriculum on the development of the religious characters of students. The influences of the hidden curriculum in the forms of role model, habituation, coaching, and attitudes from an educator have resulted in the birth of exemplary values that are more long lasting and impactful within the students. In addition, the influences in the social and environmental forms have triggered the establishment of a harmonious relationship with other people and yielded an attitude of concern for the environment in which the students live. Moreover, the implementation of the hidden curriculum in the form of worship carried out in schools has also enabled the development of religious attitudes, including honesty, patience, and trustworthiness, within the students.

The subject of this article is the analysis of the activity undertaken during mediation in the context of the characteristics of the mediation process and the normative conditions of the legal relationship and disputes resolved through this form of ADR. In order to implement the project, the content of the work will contain a list of functions performed by the mediator during mediation as ‘the environment for performing the role’ (which is not closed due to the dynamics of interaction in the negotiations). Their character and content determine the nature of the social and professional role of mediators in the Polish legal order, it also allows us to illustrate in detail the key issues for reflection on the professional role, including, for example, legal liability and conflict of roles. Mediation functions are diversified in terms of the frequency of their implementation depending, among other things, on the strategy of conducting mediation, the specificity of the dispute and the legal regulation of mediation. The discussion of the last of the indicated differentiating factors (i.e. the impact of universally binding law) will be reflected in the content of the paper.

Despite the growing interest in extreme sports around the world, researchers have rarely investigated the complex factors that have led to a developed commitment to extreme sports in recent years. Precisely, the social identity of ultramarathoners remains a research niche. The aim of the article is to analyze the impact of a sports event on shaping social identity of ultramarathon runners on the example of Karkonosze Winter Ultramarathon (held in Poland). The qualitative method used in the article—interviews with runners—made it possible to examine the factors that create social identity, among which the motives for participation, sports subculture, and the authenticity of the experience play a key role. The first part of the article describes the theoretical aspects of social identity in sport. The second, empirical part presents the research results supplemented by the statements of the contestants. In this case, the subject of analysis is the motives for participation in a winter ultramarathon and their characteristics. Lastly, the article analyzes the subculture of ultramarathoners and the experience of contestants’ authenticity. The investigated winter ultramarathon created the perfect space for creation, deepening and celebrating the social identity of ultramarathoners assessed as a value in itself. The article enriches the present knowledge about the motivation of ultramarathoners because, unlike the results of quantitative research, it presents in-depth responses of runners who were not always concerned by existing research questionnaires.

The accumulation and expansion of emotional experience, its development, consolidation and modification under the influence of purposefully organized education and upbringing, as well as the impact of cultural and conventional norms adopted in a particular society, consistently lead to the formation of a significant group of abilities, knowledge and skills that reveal the emotional literacy of an individual in management of emotional response and characterizing the behavior of the subject from the point of view of his rationality, consciousness, criticality, regulation, self-control and self-management. The presence of emotional literacy determines the social maturity of a person, which is revealed in his emotional competence when interacting with the social environment.

Many studies have focused on estimating the impact of automation on work around the world with results ranging widely. Despite the disagreement about the level of impact that automation will have, experts agree that new technologies tend to be applied to every economic sector, thus impacting work regardless of substituting or complementing it. The purpose of this study is to move on from the discussion about the size of the impact of automation to understanding the main social impacts that automation will cause and what actions should be taken to deal with them. For this purpose, we reviewed literature about technological unemployment found in Scopus and Web of Science published since 2000, presenting an academic view of the actions necessary to deal with the social impact of automation. Our results summarize causes, consequences, and solutions for the technological unemployment found in the literature. We also found that the literature is mainly concentrated on the areas of economy, sociology, and philosophy, with the authors situated in developed economies such as the USA, Europe, and New Zealand. Finally, we present the research agenda proposed by the reviewed papers that could motivate new research on the subject.

This was done through review of a number of articles relating to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as Social Studies as integrated discipline. Historical background and the effects of the pandemic specifically in Ghana have been outlined in the paper. Being integrated curriculum, the author argues that the pandemic offers unique opportunity for Social Studies educators and teachers of the subject to demonstrate their understanding of the concept of integration with respect to the impacts of the pandemic. There is no denying the fact that the pandemic had tremendous impacts on all facets of human life including economic, social, psychological, political, religious, and health. The article carries out a systematic literature review on the social impact of research in all fields of study. To this end, this study has compiled the publications on the subject using the Web of Science database, and the most relevant terms have been mapped using the VOSviewer tool. The aim of the article is to advance and provide knowledge on the key aspects to be taken into account for research to generate social benefits and to analyse the main methods and instruments used to assess the social impact of research. At the same time, this article serves as a point of reflection to raise awareness, on a recent topic, of the limitations that arise in evaluation and research gaps that can be addressed in future research. This line of research has been in existence for just over 10 years. International programmes, such as Horizon Europe, highlight the impact channels and, in the field of social sciences, specific methodologies such as communicative communication are being developed. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to analyse the subject from a global point of view, without specifying the field of study, providing a conceptual map of the subject.
