In Indonesia, the number of construction project increased, while the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is one of the main purposes of the construction project. However, the OHS is often neglected which is indicated by the high number of the work accident occurrences. To reduce the work risk, a safe design since the pre-construction stage which is often called prevention through design should be considered. In this research, the method was carried out by a literature study to collect theory and data from some sources, including journal, thesis and website which initiated by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). Then, the research continued to field observation for collecting the references to help formulate the new design criteria. The outcome of this research demonstrates that the prevention step for the work accident should be done earlier in the project, which is in the design phase. By doing prevention, such as using the new design criteria with the OHS consideration or the prevention through design, could reduce the work accident risk that could occur in steel construction project. The new design criteria discussing 5 elements in steel structure including column, beam, rafter, endplate connection and angle plate connection by applying the elements of the OHS in advance. Keywords: new design criteria, steel construction, occupational health and safety

At this time in the world of work or in job management workers are required to be able to solve problems that mean that in education and psychology management must be able to build or develop instruments in all fields of management. The development of measurement instruments in the field of psychology and education many assume the use of unidimensional measurements, which conceptually formulated that there is one type of ability factor, personality, character, and attitude measured by one measurement instrument. This study aims to allow readers to understand the notions of reliability, reliability of learning outcomes tests, general models of reliability, simple methods of estimating reliability, retesting methods, parallel methods, halves, moment product equations, Flanagan equations, Rulon equations, reliability coefficients , and standard measurement errors. In order for this management research to take place smoothly, the researcher uses the literature study method as his research method. The preventive systems required to ensure workers are protected from occupational accidents and injuries dwell heavily on effective occupational health and safety management (OHSM) systems and practices. In this study, the concepts of the job demand-resource model (JD-R), self-determination theory (SDT), and perceived organizational support for safety (POSS) theory were adopted to develop a holistic conceptual model that seeks to unravel moderating and mediating effects of work motivation on the causal link between OHSM practices and work performance in the oil and gas sector. The study measured OHSM practices from six distinct safety dimensional perspectives and work performance using a two-dimensional distinct construct that assesses different aspects of positive work behaviours. A quantitative research approach through the structural equation modelling analysis technique was applied. A total of 1310 participants were selected across three major organizations that represent downstream, upstream, and middle stream of the Ghanaian oil and gas sector. Respondents were recruited through stratified, purposive, and convenient sampling techniques. The findings from the path estimate through the SEM analysis suggested that OHSM practices positively and significantly influenced both safety performance and task performance of employees. However, OHSM practices indicated a higher positive significant influence on task performance than safety performance. The significant influence of OHSM practices on both task and safety performance was significantly moderated and partially mediated by work motivation, while both task performance and safety performance were significantly determined by work motivation. In this study, the dimensions for assessing work performance extend the performance theories established in previous literature, whereas the integrated multifaceted OHSM practices employed diverge from the traditional individualistic approach by providing insights into more flexible managerial practices that are employee-centred and outcome-oriented. The findings from this study address the need for organizations to appreciate the importance of managing workers’ perception of OHSM practices as a motivational drive that induces work performance.
