The Quran is the fundamental source by which a person knows his Creator through the knowledge of the names of Allah and His attributes, which represents the subject of the unification of Allah and affects the faith of a Muslim, train his soul and conscience and refine his behavior. Thorough examination of the names and attributes of Allah in the Qur’an reveals that both the names and attributes can be found in either of the two instances: in a joint form or in isolation to show that in both cases they carry different meanings, so the study aimed at explaining the names and attributes of Allah, in both of the two instances in some verses of the Quran. The study followed the descriptive and empirical methods. The paper found that the names and attributes of Allah are tawqifiyyah,(Divine), there is no room for personal reasoning, and that the names and attributes of Allah signify perfect and sublime qualities, It was also discovered by the study that the name of (Allah) Al-‘Azīz (The Almighty) was associated with wisdom (Hikmah), the name of (Allah) Al-Laṭīf (The Gentle) with mercy (Rahmah) and the name of Al-‘Afuw (The forgiver) with power and ability (Qudrah). Based on this, the more a person knows Allah the more he reveres Him and follow His commandments. The research finally recommends that to guard the behaviour of a Muslim society, people need to learn the meanings of names and attributes of their Creator.

An examination of the literature produced very few references related to the subject of estimating the resistance of a convoy navigating in a waterway of limited cross section. This paper reports the findings of one such study—a joint research project undertaken by Belgium's University of Liege and the Bulgarian Ship Hydrodynamics Centre. A polynomial is presented here for evaluating the total resistance of a convoy moving in a restricted waterway. The resistance was found to depend on Froude number and on the relative dimensions (length, width and depth) between the convoy and the channel. The results obtained by the suggested polynomial are compared with those obtained by the other three existing empirical methods.

The article is aimed ad generalization, elaboration and implementation of the basic problem-solving techniques higher school based on the preliminary compiled classification of problems in accordance with certain characteristics. The author develops educational and methodological support for the discipline of general physics as the means of training students to solve problems on their own. The following methods were applied in the course of this work: analysis of psychological, pedagogical and scientific-methodical literature; analysis of curricula, textbooks, problem books, guidebooks on natural science disciplines, modeling of class activity of the students; empirical methods of observation, conversation, survey. As a result, the author incorporates the existing problem-solving techniques into the system, based on which students are capable to go through all stages of solving the problem on their own, better understand the study material, and acquire essential skills for articulation of the problem. The examples are provided on step-by-step solution of different types of problems on the topic “Calculation of an electrical network”.

Among the numerous factors of the subject genesis of teachers, social intelligence plays an important role. Social intelligence is defined as a special quality of a person, her ability to understand, differentiate and predict the verbal and non-verbal behavior of other people and the consequences, quickly and easily come into contact with them, which determine the effectiveness of social interaction. The results of the relationship between social intelligence and mental burnout were obtained by researchers. The problem of the role of social intelligence in overcoming mental burnout is relevant and poorly researched. The teachers working at the Kursk boarding school for children with disabilities at the Kursk boarding school for children with disabilities (all participants are females; N = 50; professional experience up to 43 years) voluntarily took part in the study. Observation and conversation, as well as standardized techniques for diagnosing burnout and social intelligence, were used from a number of empirical methods. To process the research results, computer methods were used by the mathematics of statistical analysis. It has been empirically proven that the underdeveloped ability of teachers to understand the change in the meaning of similar verbal reactions of students, their parents, colleagues, administration (F=4,38; df=2,47; β =-0,412; р=0,019), as well as to logically generalize and highlight common and significant signs in their various non-verbal reactions (F=3,90; df=2,47; β = 0,364; p=0,030) increase the risk of mental burnout. On the contrary, well-developed abilities to foresee the consequences of the behavior of other people in a certain situation can be considered as a factor in overcoming psychosomatic and psycho-vegetative disorders (F = 136,66; β = -0,952; р =0,0000), irritability, resentment, harshness, rudeness, emotional and personal isolation (F = 115,17; β = -0,840; р = 0,0000), the feeling that it is emotionally impossible to help their wards (F = 115,33; β = -0,936; р = 0,0000).

In addition to providing an overview of the existing scholarship on the Muslims and Turks in Bulgaria, the introduction presents the subject of this book. The book follows the history of the Muslims in Bulgaria (mostly Turks but also Pomaks, Tatars, and Roma) in the first crucial decades after the establishment of modern Bulgaria on former Ottoman territories. More specifically, it focuses on the activities of a movement for cultural reform and its efforts to reshape local Muslim society, a phenomenon neglected by scholarship so far. The book seeks to bring out the history of Bulgaria’s Muslims from the confines of “minority studies,” and put it in a new framework of inquiry, while underscoring how the community also remained a part of the Ottoman world.

Although it is now often considered that the cantilliation of the Koran is the ideal form of music in the worship of Sunni Orthodoxy in Turkey, the issue appears not yet to be decided in discussions on the subject. However, this also provides a certain legitimacy for those who have argued the theological and moral benefits of music in certain contexts. Needless to say, music is seldom stable in the context of social change. Migration has had a profound effect upon patterns of musical production, patronage and consumption in urban Muslim society. The author aims to show that a closer look at “Islamic pop music”, as produced in Turkey, provides an analytical tool for understanding the complexities of Islamic identities. The study of some commercial recordings illustrates how music may shape and embody multi-dimensional Muslim identities in a polarized global/ local context.
