The paper treats the issue of significance of refugee migrations in the last decade of the 20th century, for the changes of total number of inhabitants in the municipalities: Indjija, Ruma, Sremski Karlovci, Stara Pazova and Sid. These municipalities have the highest share of refugees in the total population, according to the 2002 census. The trend of negative natural increase of population in Vojvodina since 1989, contributed to the increase of the significance of migration component in population dynamics, regarding the fact that it mostly represents the crucial factor of population in-crease. In that sense, contribution of refugees to the values of mechanical inflow of population is ascertained. Having in mind the differentiation of municipalities according to the socio-economic characteristics of population, the paper gives the analysis of influence of refugees on the changes of these structures. The study encompasses economic and educational structure of population. The structure of refugee population by their economic activity also shows the extent of economic adaptation of refugees, as a very important factor in the process of their integration.

This study aimed to estimate natural increase (NI), net replacement rate (NRR), output, and population dynamics of Aceh cattle at Livestock Breeding and Forage Center in Indrapuri, Aceh province. Data of population structure, mortality, birth rate, the number of animals entering the herd, and the number of animals released from the herd during 2019were used for determining NIandNRR, and it isusedfor estimation of output. Population structure data (2015-2019) were used to estimate the population dynamics. The results showed that NI was 19.08% (medium category). The availability of replacement stock exceeded the need for replacement (140.08% for male and 73.33% for female); the NRR was 240.08% (male) and 173.33% (female). The output of Aceh cattle was 3.92% (culled male), 5.58% (culled female); the remaining replacement stocks were 5.49% (male) and 4.09% (female) of the total population. The population of Aceh cattle from 2020 to 2024 was expected to increase by 6.02% (65 heads) on average. In conclusion, that BPTU-HPT Indrapuri can be categorized as a beef cattle producing region, but still need efforts to increase natural increase by increasing birth rate minimum 32.77% and reducing mortality maximum 3.0%, in combination with better management systems.

This article presents the ethnodemographic changes of Roma population and the most important socio-economic structures according to the 2002 census results. The number and the share of the Roma in the total population of Serbia are resulted by the natural increase, the migration and particularly changed declaration on national affiliation. Demographic development of the Roma population is characterized by negative tendencies in natural movement, as well as, in the most important demographic structures (age structure of population, educational and economic structures of population, etc.). Their social, economic, political and cultural position is very difficult, as a result of their marginalization, segregation and discrimination. The basic condition and the way for social promotion and integration of the Roma population in the society are schooling and education of that nationality.

The paper deals with the analysis of unemployment in European Union countries on the basis of data of the unemployment rate and the number of unemployed. The data are obtained from the Eurostat website. The aim of the paper is to find out how the number of unemployed in individual EU countries changed in 2018 compared to 2009, in which country the number of unemployed increased the most, in which the least. Appropriate tools of economic statistics are used for the analysis. Based on a four-factor model of the analysis of the number of unemployed, we find out how this indicator has changed depending on the change in the unemployment rate, the economic activity rate, the share of the working age population in the total population, and the total population. The application of statistical method is implemented through the programme Microsoft Office Excel.

The objectiveof this study was to elucidatereproductive characteristics, potential output and dynamics population of Ongole Gradecattle in Kebumen Regency, Province of Central Java. The studywasconductedfromSeptemberto November 2015.The materials used in the study were165 farmers as respondentshavingOngole Gradecattle. The research method used was survey. Respondent samples were taken from five districts in which the location was determined by using purposive sampling. Data were collected through direct interviews with livestock farmers as respondents. The analysis used wasdescriptive analysis. The results showed that the age at first mating was 26.87 month, S/C was 1.64, post-partum mating was4.52 month, weaning age was 3.97 month, calving interval was 14.32 month, and the birth rate topopulation was45.5%. Reproductive efficiency value was 91.8%, natural increase was 44.68%, and net replacement rate of bull and heifer were 1,209% and 253%,respectively, andtotal output 44.11%. Population dynamics of Ongole Gradecattle from 2009 to 2014 fluctuated with average growthwas -4.84%. In 2019, cow population of Ongole Gradewasestimated about 68.381 heads. In conclusion Kebumen Regencyhasa relatively high potential output of Ongole Gradecattle thatis44.11% and population dynamics from 2010 to 2014 fluctuated with average of decrease growth is 4.84%. Estimation of cow’s population of Ongole Grade cattle willincrease 16.7% per year.

We study a model of population dynamics describing pregnancy: our model is composed by an equation describing the evolution of the total population, and an equation describing the evolution of pregnant individuals. These equations are of course coupled: one coupling expresses that the total population varies with the number of born people, and another coupling says that the number of fecundated individuals depends on the total population. We study three models of that type: a linear model without diffusion, a nonlinear model without diffusion and a linear model with diffusion. For these three models, we study precisely the qualitative properties and the asymptotic behavior of the solutions.

The structure of the leading causes of death in Serbia has considerably changed in the last half century. Diseases which presented the main threat to the population a few decades ago are now at the level of a statistical error. On the one side are causes which drastically changed their share in total mortality in this time interval, while others have shown stability and persistence among the basic causes of death. Acute infectious diseases "have been replaced" with chronic noninfectious diseases, due to the improvement of general and health conditions. One of the consequences of such changes is increased life expectancy and a larger share of older population which resulted in cardiovascular diseases and tumors to dominate more and more in total mortality. Convergent trends in the structure of the leading causes of death in Serbia from the middle of the 20th century are the reasons why there are considerably fewer diseases and causes with a significant rate in total population mortality at the beginning of the 21st century. During the 1950s, there were five groups of diseases and causes which participated individually with more than 10% of population mortality (infectious diseases, heart and circulatory diseases, respiratory diseases, some perinatal conditions and undefined states) while at the beginning of the new century there were only two such groups (cardiovascular diseases and tumors). Identical trends exist in all European countries, as well as in the rest of the developed world. The leading causes of death in Serbia are cardiovascular diseases. An average of somewhat over 57.000 people died annually in the period from 2007 - 2009, which represents 55.5% of total population mortality. Women are more numerous among the deceased and this difference is increasing due to population feminization. The most frequent cause of death in Serbia, after heart and circulatory diseases, are tumors, which caused 21,415 deaths in 2009. Neoplasms are responsible for one fifth of all deaths. Their number has doubled in three decades, from 9,107 in 1975 to about 20,000 at the beginning of the 21st century, whereby tumors have become the fastest growing cause of death. Least changes in absolute number of deaths in the last half century were marked among violent deaths. Observed by gender, men are in average three times more numerous among violent deaths than women. In the middle of the 20th century in Serbia, one third of the deaths caused by violence were younger than 25 and as many as one half were younger than 35 years old. Only one tenth (11%) of total number of violent deaths were from the age group of 65 or older. At the end of the first decade of the 21st century (2009), the share of population younger than 25 in the total number of violent deaths was decreased four times (and amounted to 8%). At the same time, the rate of those older than 65 or more quadrupled (amounted to 39%).

To study the population dynamics of young-of-the-year spot (Leiostomus xanthurus) I released 6981 marked fish midway up the tidal creek portion of a small (<20 ha) marsh creek–seagrass meadow coenocline. Holding mortality experiments (96 h) indicated that 61.5%, or 4300 individuals, survived the marking process to constitute the population available for recapture. Over a 90-d study period, 212 marked fishes were recaptured. From plots of the ratio of marked to unmarked individuals in subsequent samples, I concluded that the population was resident in the creek for up to 182 d with the average individual present for 91 d. When this population turnover rate was compared to the total population decay rate (marked plus unmarked fish), the exchange between habitats (immigration/emigration) accounted for about 26% of the total decay rate, with the remainder attributed to natural mortality. By correcting the overall disappearance rate for population turnover due to immigration/emigration, and using this adjusted value as a measure of instantaneous mortality (Z), the estimated production in this population was 21.8 kcal (91342 J)∙m−2∙d−1. This figure is over six times greater than previously reported values for this species for all size classes over the entire growing season.

According to final results of Census in 2002, total number of declare Gypsies in Serbia (without Kosovo and Metohija) was 108.193, apropos 1.44% in total population of Serbia, conditional third position in rang of ethnic minorities (behind Hungarians and Bosnians). Though, in sense population dynamics of Gypsies, it is needs to know, that official statistic data could give only information about population which "them selves repute Gypsies", declare as Gypsies in that moment, and because of that we are probability to take on scientific observe only number of declare Gypsies. During the period 1948-2002, Gypsies was included on all census statistic classifications of nationalities. But, oscillations in number of Gypsies show population dynamics without any evenly and projected trends of population development. This fact is problem and for official statistic research. Certainly, the main defect at statistic registration of Gypsies is ability to change attitude about nationality declare in censuses.

Deliberate interruption of pregnancy is a very important social problem. The artificial abortion is a dominant procedure in the methods of birth control. The terminations of unwanted pregnancies are in direct correlation with the birth-rate and thus influence the rate of natural increase. The aim of this paper is to show influence of artificial abortion on natural population dynamics. This paper analyzes two sources of data: statistical and empirical research. .
