The success of animal husbandry extension activities can be realized concretely by being conduced in a sustainable manner. Realizing the importance of concrete application, it is necessary to provide supporting facilities that can drive the real application of the training carried out, both training for making Amoniase, Bokashi and Amoniase. Based on the mentoring activities carried out, partners or the community of Nggorang Village have built supporting facilities for animal husbandry independently, namely Clamp Cages, Water Storage Tubs, Ammonia Making Tubs, Bokashi Making Tubs, and Silage Making Basins. Pilot activities to increase the adoption rate of farmer groups in creating grazing areas integrated based on agro-tourism.

Although Indonesia has the largest rubber plantation in the world, the productivity is still very low. About 85% of the plantation belongs to the majority of farmers whose adoption level of cultivation technology is still low. This study aimed to determine the internal and external characteristics that greatly affect the level of farmers' adoption of technology in rubber cultivation to come up with the formulation of development strategy in the management of rubber plantation in Teweh Tengah Sub-district, Barito Utara regency. Processing and data analysis was done by analysis of descriptive and inferential statistics using the percentage distribution tables, Chi-square statistical analysis, correspondence analysis and logit analysis. Descriptively, the technology adoption rate of rubber farmers was categorized as 54% low, 40% moderate and 6% high. A Chi-Square test showed a correlation between the level of adoption by gender, age, course/training, Information Seeking activities of cultivation technology, Extension Support, Farmer Group Support, and Government support. The analysis result of Logit Method of Stepwise showed that there were two characteristics of internal and external variables that influenced the adoption rate of rubber cultivation technology: Support of Farmer Groups and Activities of Seeking for Cultivation Technology Information. A strategy for the development of rubber plantation Management should be based on growth, strengthening and development of farmer groups. The support of farmer groups can foster the process of increasing the information and skills for farmers. Development strategy included establishment and institutional development. improvement and development of information for farmer groups.Key words: Logit Regression, Rubber Plantation, Technology Adoption, farmer group

Literature about humanitarian logistics (HL) has developed a lot of innovative decision support systems during the last decades to support decisions such as location, routing, supply, or inventory management. Most of those contributions are based on quantitative models but, generally, are not used by practitioners who are not confident with. This can be explained by the fact that scenarios and datasets used to design and validate those HL models are often too simple compared to the real situations. In this chapter, a scenario-based approach based on a five-step methodology has been developed to bridge this gap by designing a set of valid scenarios able to assess disaster needs in regions subject to recurrent disasters. The contribution, usable by both scholars and practitioners, demonstrates that defining such valid scenario sets is possible for recurrent disasters. Finally, the proposal is validated on a concrete application case based on Peruvian recurrent flood and earthquake disasters.

I found my method on the known principle, that the geometric mean between two quantities is also a geometric mean between the arithmetic and harmonic means of those quantities. We may therefore approximate to the geometric mean of two quantities in this way:—Take their arithmetic and harmonic means; then take the arithmetic and harmonic means of those means; then of these last means again, and so on, as far as we please. If the ratio of the original quantities lies within the ratio of 1 : 2, the approximation proceeds with extraordinary rapidity, so that, in obtaining a fraction nearly equal to √2 by this method, we obtain a result true to eleven places of decimals at the fourth mean. I name this merely to show the rate of approximation. The real application of the method is to the integration of functions embracing a radical of the square root.

The universal predictive maintenance(PdM) system framework integrated several common and important technologies is established in the paper. It is very important to choose and design the relative technologies for the PdM system in the real application at different factories. Here the reasons and method of the system establishment are explained. The functions and structures of the system are analyzed. The establishment of the database of the system is proposed. The PdM system can be realized flexibly based on the real conditions in the real industry application.

The real application of nanofabrication is in the nanoindustries due to their existence in nanodimensions. In this paper, it is attempted to review on the fabrication techniques of organic and inorganic nanowires, which includes vapour and solution processes. The two commonly approached methods, with respect to solution processes are fabrication through template-assisted electrodeposition technique, and the vapour-liquid-solid (VLS) as compared to organic nanowires which are fabricated through vapour and solution processes.

A Local Innovation Systems (LIS) was establish in Bakustulama Village of Esat Nusa Tenggara Province in Indonesia in 2013 and has serve the local people in their productive activity since. This paper was an evaluation of how this LIS play the role on empowering the local peole. The study involved 2 farmer groups to be involved in developing LIS then applied it in their productive activities. Since the implementation LIS has served the two farmer groups in increasing their economic life (income received). LIS was attached to the local agricultural extension office as an institution that consists of farmer groups, local extension workers, staffs from Local Government Offices (Agricultural-Fisheries and Plantation Offices, Local Animal Husbandry Offices, Local Forestry Offices, Sub-District & Village Offices)and supported by local researchers. The LIS as institutions running well to served the need of the people by establishing networks with other institutions and reserchers from several intitutions available in the area. A chnge in policy from Central Government in 2016 had change the existency of LIS as institution, however the network still function and the people still can benefitted from it, which was shown from the evaluation conducte in 2019. An index number was applied here to measure the change occurs in the two farmer groups before and after the implementation of LIS. Significant changes were occurs in the two farmer groups, they economic life were changes in better way, which is why they still maintaining the network from LIS although the institution was not exist anymore. Here, the LIS was transform into a systems that was run by farmer groups which still maintain the network that was already established.

Dairy cows is one of animal husbandry that produce milk.  In Indonesia, there is a gap between milk demand and its production that offers chance of animal husbandry business. Bogor is a city in West Java that has numbers of family relying their family’s livelihood on animal husbandry business. There are two dairy cow farmers groups that is still operating in Bogor, Kelompok Ternak Maju Terus (‘Maju Terus’ Group) and Kelompok Ternak Sumber Makmur (‘Sumber Makmur’ Group). The objectives of this research are to analyze the determinant factors of milk production and business performance in both farmer groups. The production function, income approach and R/C ratio analysis are used to obtain the research objectives. The result shows that determinant factors that statistically significant are the number of productive cows, the amount of feed both green feed and ‘waste’ feed, while concentrate is not significant. The farmer group performance of ‘Maju Terus’ is better than ‘Sumber Makmur’ where the R/C ratio is higher. The farmers should increase the number of dairy cow ownership, the amount of feed and ‘waste’ feed, therefore milk production of dairy cows will increase and improve the income of farmers.

The real application of nusantara insight can be done through thinking, behaving, even speaking. Thus, nusantara insight can also be interpreted as the Indonesian nation's view of themselves and their environment based on their national ideas based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, which is the aspiration of an independent, sovereign, dignified nation and animates its lifestyle and wisdom in achieving national goals.

Abstract The subject of analysis in this paper are rope based mechanisms for the movement of the telescopic conveyors substructure. Experimental test of ropes in conjunction with pulleys on 2 telescopic conveyors were performed in order to assess the real cause of damage and cracking of ropes in a full sense, which occurred in the real application of the conveyor at the site. These are examples of two conveyors with the same characteristics on which combinations of ropes with characteristics of construction of cross section 7x19 and construction of cross section 19x7 are placed, as well as combinations of pulleys with two kinds of grooves. Some specific tests are performed that showed the best combination of construction driving system elements.

Abstrak   Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian limbah kulit ubi kayu dan ampas tahu terfermentasi terhadap berat karkas dan persentase karkas ayam pedaging.     Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah ayam pedaging umur 2 minggu berjumlah 100 ekor, strain MB-202P yang di produksi oleh PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk, dengan pemberian limbah kulit ubi kayu dan ampas tahu terfermentasi selama 15 sampai 30 hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode percobaan dengan  Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas (P0 :0%, P1 :5%, P2 :10%, P3 :15% dan P4     :20%). Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah berat karkas dan persentase karkas. Apabila ada perlakuan memberiakan perbedaan maka dilanjutkan dengan Uji Beda nyata Terkecil ( BNT). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan limbah kulit ubi kayu dan ampas tahu terfermentasi memberikan hasil yang sangat nyata terhadap berat karkas (P<0,01) dan sangat nyata terhadap persentase karkas (P<0,01). Berat badan tertinggi terdapat pada P1 (1900,0 gram), sedangkan berat badan terendah terdapat pada PO sebesar (1686,2 gram). Nilai tertinggi berat karkas terdapat pada P1 (1400,0 gram ), kemudian berat karkas terendah terdapat pada P0 (1186,3 gram). Persentase karkas tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan P1 73,7%, sedangkan yang terendah terdapat pada perlakuan PO 70,3%.  Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan limbah kulit ubi kayu dan ampas tahu terfermentasi sebesar 5% memberikan berat karkas tertinggi dan persentase karkas tertinggi yaitu 1400 gram dan 73,7 %.   ABSTRACT  The study of this research aimed to determine the effect of giving the waste of peel cassava and the soyben curd waste to the weight carcass and the percentage of carcass in broilers, from 23 June to 28 July 2015 in Animal Husbandry Laboratory of  Kanjuruhan University of Malang. This research used 100 broilers , market merk MB 202P.  This research also used the completely  random experimental method (RAL). It consists of 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments consist of ( P0 ) :  basal feed or control feed, ( P1 ) : basal feed + fermented feed  5 %, ( P2 ) : basal feed +  fermented  feed 10 %, ( P3 ) : basal feed + fermented feed 15 %, ( P4 ) : basal feed + fermented feed 20 %. The data is analyzed by using the completely random experimental method (RAL) if the treatment gives the real effect then continued with the least real surgery test. The results of this research showed that giving the  waste of peel cassava and the soyben curd waste affected the real result ( P<0,01 ) in weight carcass and the percentage of carcass in broilers. The highest heavy carcass and the percentage of carcass are exist in ( P1 ) :  1900 gram and 70,3 %. Then the lowest weight carcass and the percentage of carcass are exist in ( P0 ) : 1186,3 and 70,3%. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that giving the waste of peel cassava and the soyben curd waste give the real results to the weight carcass and the percentage of carcass in broilers.  The researcher suggests to the breeder to harness the waste of peel cassava and the soyben curd wastw as the alternative feed because these will  give them the highest weight carcass and the percentage of carcass.
