The underlying point of reference in the study was obtaining relevant information from modern and professional counselors in the country in view of the societal understanding and interest of using the counseling services in their lifetime. The counseling organizations involved in the study were chosen representing practices of modern counseling structure in the study that has based on certain relevance they could have for the intended lessons. Qualitative study method was conducted employing framework data analysis technique. The tools used to gather information were interview, observation and focus group discussions with key informants of the institutions. The study result identified that even though counseling and counseling service quality is at promising status, much is expected from concerned government and non-government organizations in boosting the purpose and functions of counseling in maintaining adolescents’ holistic development in and out of school. Consequently, counseling as a tradition among Ethiopian community, specifically the Oromo, become practical to maintain peaceful mental and social serenity of the community with further consideration to progress.

Traunt behavior is a negative bahavior in students that does not reflect the meaning of life, where the meaning of life is characterized by positive attitude and behaviors aimed at the future. The meaning of life is an individual condition that lives positively and passion to achieve the goal set. This paper aims to describe the concepts of the meaning of life, aspects of the meaning of life, factors of the meaning of life, and it’s relation to traunt student behavior. The method used the study literature, and data analysis technique use is by observation and interviews. The result of the discussion aimed that traunt students had a low meaningful life. This show that the meaning of life is very important for students to have a good behavior aimed at their future. The provision of counseling services by guidance and counseling teachers in school can help students to have the meaning of life.

<p>Artikel ini ditulis untuk memberikan gambaran tentang layanan bimbingan kelompok dalam meningkatkan keterampilan belajar siswa kelas X MIA 8 SMA Negeri 1 Kudus. Untuk  maksud  tersebut penulis menggunakan metode  observasi yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Analisa data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif prosentase dengan cara membandingkan skor hasil penghitungan  dari kondisi awal hingga siklus kedua sehingga peningkatan keterampilan  belajar  melalui layanan  bimbingan kelompok pada siswa kelas X MIA 8 SMA Negeri 1 Kudus dapat diukur dan diketahui dengan valid dan tepat. Layanan bimbingan kelompok ini menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan  belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil, dari 11 subjek penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan  belajar  siswa rata-rata 12. The data analysis in this research use the descriptive analysis percentage by comparing the extrapolation result score of the first condition  to the second cycle with the result that the students of Class MIA 8 SMA </em>Negeri <em>1 Kudus  skills improvement  can be measured  and known accurately and valid. This group counseling service showed an increase in students’ learning skills. Based on the results, the study of 11 subjects showed an increase in students’ learning skills of the average 12. Abstract: Self-esteem is an important element for students to support their development optimally. However, students performed various problems related to the students’ self-esteem level. For instance, students posted their activities and problems on social media. One variable affected self-esteem was students’ emotional control. This study aimed to identify the effect of emotional control on students’ self-esteem. This study involved 612 students as sample who were randomly selected in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Data analysis technique in this research was regression analysis. Results indicated that there was a significant effect of emotional control on students’ self-esteem. This study recommended a counseling service to increase students’ self-esteem by involving emotional control variable.Abstrak: Harga diri merupakan unsur penting bagi siswa agar dapat berkembang secara optimal. Akan tetapi, siswa kerap kali mengalami masalah yang berkaitan dengan rendahnya harga diri mereka, misalnya siswa menunjukkan berbagai kegiatan dan masalahnya di media sosial. Salah satu variabel yang berpengaruh terhadap harga diri adalah regulasi emosi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh regulasi emosi terhadap harga diri siswa. Penelitian ini melibatkan sampel sebanyak 612 siswa sekolah menengah atas (SMA) yang dipilih secara acak di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara regulasi emosi terhadap harga diri siswa. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan sebuah program layanan konseling untuk meningkatkan harga diri siswa dengan melibatkan variabel regulasi emosi.

Zambian communities are rich with voices of the value of adult education, albeit unsystematically documented. It is these insightful voices that this article unveils. Phenomenological research design was employed. Three research sites were targeted comprising two chiefdoms and covering four villages, two villages from each chief dom. Data was collected using interviews and focus group discussions. After coding the data, narrative and thematic methods of data analysis were used. Findings reveal that the value of adult education is measured informally by the number of the adult population able to access social amenities equitably and equally on one hand, and on the other, by their ability to read the ‘word and the world’ as purported by Freire and Macedo (1987).

Purpose Despite general recognition of the benefits of talking openly about sexuality with children, parents encounter and/or create barriers to such communication. One of the key barriers is a desire to protect childhood innocence. The purpose of this paper is to explore parental interpretations of childhood innocence and the influence this has on their reported practices relating to sexuality-relevant communication with young children. Design/methodology/approach In all, 110 UK parents and carers of children aged between four and seven years were involved in focus group discussions. The discussions were transcribed and thematic network analysis was subsequently applied to the data. Following the reading and re-reading of the transcripts for meaning, context and content, individual comments and statements were identified within the data set and grouped to generate themes. Findings Childhood innocence was commonly equated with non-sexuality in children and sexual ignorance. Parents displayed ambiguity around the conceptualisation of non-innocence in children. Parents desire to prolong the state of childhood innocence led them to withhold certain sexual knowledge from their children; however, the majority also desired an open relationship whereby their child could approach them for information. Originality/value UK parents have a strong desire to maintain the social construction of their children as inherently innocent. This discourse is affecting the way in which they communicate about sexually relevant information with their children.

Binuang Vocational High School 1 often found students lacking in concentration in class when the lesson took place. Based on the identification of the problem, due to lack of understanding of students in dealing with emotional students faced in the implementation of learning. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct research on the effect of personal counseling services in improving intellectual and emotional intelligence. The aim is to find out how much influence personal counseling services have on intellectual intelligence and emotional intelligence. This research was carried out on 11 August to September 2017 with a location in Binuang 1 Vocational High School. The data is collected through interviews with respondents using a questionnaire. The study sample was taken through three stages, the school level was appointed, the class determination (two classes) was appointed, and then continued with a simple random to determine 30 respondents. Data analysis using regression results of the study shows that X against Y1 F count (18,380) is greater than F table α 0,05 df 1/28 (4.20), then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. X against (Y2), the calculated F value (22,413) is greater than F table (4.20) so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Personal counseling services affect intellectual intelligence and emotional intelligence. It was concluded that the variable personal counseling service (X) can be used as a recommended variable in estimating the variables Y1 and Y2.

The Head of Madrasah has a role in various matters related to improving the quality of both human resources and infrastructure in each madrasah he leads, teachers as human resources elements in madrasahs need strategic steps taken by the head of madrasah to improve their professionalism, this research aims to explore how the role of madarasah head in improving teacher competence in MTs Istiqamah Talu Talamau Subdistrict. Research is designed with an explorative qualitative approach, namely a study that aims to find the role performed by the head of madrasah through the search of various sources, the source of this research is madrasah supervisors, teachers in MTs Istiqamah and madarasah heads as a form of confirmation, to obtain data from the specified sources, in this research used observation techniques, interviews, documentation studies and focus group discussions, data analysis used is descriptive qualitative. The result of the research is that the head of madrasah plays a role in increasing the professionalism of teachers in the form of informative, coordinate, consultative and informative.

This study is concerned with the presence of BK teachers who have no educational background in guidance and counseling. They are appointed by the principal because they are deemed to be and come from educational and non-educational graduates with little teaching hours. This certainly has an impact on the quality of the implementation of guidance and counseling services in schools. This study aims: (1) to reveal and describe the implementation of guidance and counseling services by BK teachers; (2) differences in the implementation of guidance and counseling services classical format reviewed from the background SI BK and Non BK; (3) differences in the implementation of classical guidance counseling and counseling services in terms of working period of <16 years and ≥ 16 years; (4) the interaction of education background and working period of BK teacher in providing guidance and counseling service of classical format.This research uses quantitative method with comparative descriptive approach. The subjects of the study were all BK teachers with BK and Non BK BK Sijunjung who numbered 32 people. The instruments used are Likert model scale with 0.965 realib and 0.507 validity (implementation of classical counseling guidance and counseling service). Data were analyzed by using variance analysis technique (ANOVA).The result of data analysis shows: 1) the implementation of guidance and counseling service of the classical format given by the teacher of education background S1 and Non BK with working period <16 years and ≥ 16 years are in high category, and the average score of implementation of guidance and counseling service of classical format same category. 2) there is no significant difference in the background of BK and Non BK S1 education. 3) there is no significant difference in the implementation of classical counseling guidance and counseling services in terms of working period of <16 years and ≥ 16 years. 4) there is no significant interaction between the education background score and the working period of the BK teacher towards the implementation of classical counseling guidance and counseling services.

In spite of the legal basis for implementing guidance and counseling in higher education is not as complete and detailed as counseling services in primary and secondary education units, a number of regulations indicate that guidance and counseling services are an important element in the organization of college. This research aims to formulate a program of counseling services based on appropriate qur’ani values ​​according to the expert and describe the frequency of usage of the counseling service program to resolve student problems. This developmental research is carried out using the steps of the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of research trial consist of 3 experts and 3 product users (counselors), taken using the purposive sampling method. The analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and Kendall concordance coefficient tests. The results indicate that: (1) a counseling service program based on qur’ani values ​​is considered appropriate to be given to students; (2) the usability level of qur'ani values-based counseling service programs is considered highly usable to be used as a reference in counseling services.

This study aims to describe the Implementation of Guidance and Counseling Service Management in Man 2 Aceh TamiangThis research method is descriptive qualitative using two data collection techniques: interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data display, conclusions, and data verification. The results of the study show that the guidance and counseling service program in schools is prepared quite well, even though they develop a service implementation plan using a standard syllabus but the program implemented in the field is quite good. The guidance and counseling service program that has been implemented has referred to the BK 17 plus pattern program and its application is adjusted to the RPL that has been prepared by the guidance and counseling teacher. The implementation of guidance and counseling services at MAN 2 Aceh Tamiang has gone quite well.
