This article discusses the existence of disease or dyscalculatic problems experienced by junior high school students, especially in the 7G grade. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Kartasura. The background of this research is the difficulty of students in understanding the basic concepts of mathematics. Diskalkulia is a form of learning difficulties experienced by children in learning mathematics. In fact, almost all students say that mathematics is the most difficult subject. If it's not difficult that means it's not math. Given the importance of mathematics in science and technology, it is only natural that mathematics becomes a compulsory subject that needs to be mastered and well understood by students in schools. The need for current and future mathematical applications is not only for everyday use, but especially in the world of work, and to support science. The cause of learning difficulties in mathematics is a common problem that often occurs in children in schools, with different types and different levels of difficulty. Problems experienced by students to understand the basic concepts of mathematics are influenced by several factors including internal factors of students who consider mathematics difficult, lack of student interest in learning mathematics. Whereas external factors include, the method used by the teacher in delivering material is less interesting so students feel bored when learning takes place.

The learning process has a benchmark that refers to the achievements experienced by students, namely learning outcomes. Learning outcomes achieved by students have two influencing factors namely internal and external factors. These two factors that influence learning outcomes are interest and learning difficulties. The results of observations on the learning outcomes of students of SMPN 11 Padang in science are still low. Students say that science learning are numerous and difficult. The existence of students who score below the average and the lack of student interest shows the student's interest in learning in science is less and it can be assumed that students have difficulty learning science. Research is a descriptive study. Research uses a correlational study approach. Research subjects consisted of 30 people in class VIII G of SMP 11 Padang. To find out the relationship between variables expressed by the correlation coefficient, data analysis techniques are used using the Sperman Rank correlation. The correlation between student interest and learning outcomes is weak, that is -0.32, the contribution of 10.24% does not have a significant relationship. There is a significant relationship between learning difficulties and learning outcomes, medium criteria w ith a value of 0.59, contribution value is 34.81%. Correlation criteria for interests and difficulties with strong learning outcomes with a value of 0.66 and a contribution of 43.56%, as well as a significant relationship between variables. The results of the relationship between learning interest and learning difficulties with learning outcomes are strong and each variable has a significantly relationship.

In general, junior high school students view mathematics as a difficult and boring subject. In addition to students, teachers also experience difficulties in delivering material, including time constraints in delivering quite a lot of material, and a lack of student interest in learning mathematics when using conventional learning methods such as from textbooks and explanations from the teacher. With these considerations, the proposer wants to apply knowledge and technology by making mathematics learning media tutorials so that they can increase understanding and attract students' interest in learning and help improve the quality of mathematics education and teaching. The result achieved is that community service for active learning and ICT should be reproduced because there are still many schools that have not implemented it. Meanwhile, from the progress of the times, namely Industry 4.0, ICT-based learning is very much needed.

Abstract The aim of this study was to ascertain high school students' proportional reasoning in the sense of the COVID-19 pandemic. How do students' thoughts flow when confronted with problems requiring proportional reasoning? This research is a mixed study by collecting data through problem-solving questions to 253 junior high school students in Muaro Jambi, Jambi Province, Indonesia. The problem-solving activities are based on real-world scenarios and require reasoning that is proportional and pertinent to the COVID-19 pandemic context. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the test is administered through the Whatsapp framework. Students' responses are examined in detail to ascertain their proportional reasoning skills. The results indicate that almost all students correctly answered the first question. However, only a small percentage of students were able to answer to and make the correct argument for the second question. The findings indicated that students demonstrated a reasonable level of proportional reasoning when confronted with the COVID-19 pandemic situation. According to the findings of this report, it is important for teachers of mathematics to establish learning activities and problem-solving tasks that help students improve their proportional reasoning skills. Keywords: COVID-19; Problem Solving; Proportional Reasoning; Real-World Situations AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggali penalaran proporsional siswa SMA  dengan konteks pandemi COVID-19. Mathematics as a basic science has objects that are abstract, mathematical aimed at understanding the concept by providing the ability to reason logically, systematically, critical, careful and creative so that if the mathematics are taught using the book will be hard to accept students. Junior high school students in general are still difficulties in learning mathematics in particular on the material loop. Therefore, it needs the development of more interactive learning media and can help students in the learning process, one of them with the help of Software Graphic User Interface (GUI) Matlab. The concept of a circle is presented in the form of Software GUI Matlab so that students can use to understand the concepts of geometry with ease and be more independent, and help teachers to explain the concept of the circle in the learning process. The application of the concept of the circle in Matlab GUI Software is done by constructing a circle 1. Concept definition, 2. Elements of the circle, 3. The corners of the circle, 4. Relationships angle at the center of the circle and the angle of the circle, and 5. Nature tangent to the circle . Data construction concept of one to five are arranged in Matlab GUI program to produce instructional media in the form of software.

This research tries to analyze the mathematics learning difficulties of Junior High school students on the material of “ relation and function”. This research was conducted on the grade VIII students in one of Junior High School 1st semester in Surakarta city in the academic year 2016. Mastery of students to the concept of mathematics which is the basic science of all sciences is still lacking. The results of the national exam of junior high school students of Surakarta are still low, one of which can be seen from the absorption of material relations and functions. This is because the results of National Examination for the city of Surakarta, can be seen from the absorption of UN value in 2015 with indicators to solve problems related to the function of 57.23%, while the year 2016 with indicators determine the value of the function if the formula of the known function of 52.70 %. This study uses test methods and interviews to find out the learning difficulties and their causes. Based on the test and interview on 3 Junior high school students who have high, medium and low learning achievements, it is found that students got difficulties in determining the value of function and value of x, if the image of x is known. Students get difficulty in solving problems related to the function and determine the value of the function and determine the value of x if the image of x is given. By knowing the difficulties faced by students expected teachers can find ways to overcome difficulties faced by students so that will be able to improve students' understanding of the material relations and functions.
