The Impact

This study was conducted to describe the translation techniques’ impact on the accuracy of the translation of commissive speech act’s responses. The study used descriptive-qualitative research method. The source data used is a novel entitled Dark Matter. The primary data were translation techniques used to translating sentences represented commissive speech acts’ responses. Meanwhile, the secondary data were the quality of the translation of commissive speech act’s responses. The data were collected using content analysis and FGD or Focused Group Discussion through questionnaire and discussion. The result shows that the translator used 15 kinds of translation techniques with 392 times occurrences to translate 79 responses to commissive speech acts. The findings indicate that the use of certain techniques reduce the value of the translation accuracy. Those techniques are literal, discursive creation and addition. The application of the techniques generates the imperfect quality in terms of accuracy that is 2.96.

The ideational grammatical metaphor is a phenomenon emerging in lexico-grammar which causes new variant construction that is different from its original meaning and grammatical class. This article aims at classifying the translation techiques applied in Jeff Kinney’s Diary of Wimpy Kid novels and also the impact of its application in translating ideational grammatical metaphor which deals with accuracy aspect in translation quality assessment. This research was classified as descriptive-qualitative research with embedded case study research and it used systemic functional linguistics as its approach.. content analysis and focus group discussion were used for obtaining data. The data consisted of linguistic, that is the words representing ideational grammatical metaphors, and translation data, i.e: the analyses of translation techniques and translation accuracy. The techniques were analyzed by using Molina & Albir (2002) theory  whereas the accuracy was assessed based on TQA modified by Nababan, Nuraeni & Sumardiono (2012). Research findings showed that there were eight different translation techniques used for translating ideational grammatical metaphor in the novels. In addition, this average score of translation quality assessment showed that ideational grammatical metaphors in SL have been translated accurately to TL.

This study aims to identify the impact of translation techniques on translation quality in the novel “Anne of Green Gables.” It is a qualitative research-oriented translation study. The data were collected by content analysis and focus group discussion. The result of this research shows that there are seven translation techniques used to translate the metaphor of modality; they are established equivalence, modulation, deletion, paraphrase, compensation, implicitation and discursive creation. In addition, the translation techniques that contributed positively to the translation quality are established equivalence, compensation, modulation and implicitation. Meanwhile, paraphrase, deletion and discursive creation decreased the translation quality in accuracy, acceptability and readability aspects.

The writing of this research aims to explain the management and impact of waqf for education in SMP Muhammadiyah Ahmad Dahlan Metro City. As for the background in this writing is the demands and expectations of the community for the greater quality of education but the capacity of the government is not yet worth the demand of the community. So the waqf movement became one of the alternatives offered to answer the challenge. Waqf movement, especially in SMP Muhammadiyah Ahmad Dahlan aims to improve the quality of education in accordance with Muhammadiyah jargon namely "advanced education". This research is a qualitative study with this type of case study research.  The data sources in this study consist of primary data sources and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques are conducted in the form of observations, interviews and documentation. The methods of data analysis are data reduction, data presentation and verification. The results of this study show that the waqf movement in SMP Muhammadiyah Ahmad Dahlan Metro City is supported not only by Muhammadiyah cadres but from sympathizers and the general public. The waqf development strategy carried out at SMP Muhammadiyah Ahmad Dahlan Kota Metro consists of (1) the conversion (substitution) of waqf assets, (2) promotion and socialization, (3) the management of waqf assets by prioritizing the allocation of waqf with regard to the 2015-2027 plan, (4) establishing partnerships and (5) strengthening the teachings of Al-Ma'un Muhammadiyah. The impact of waqf has a profound effect on the quality of education such as the improvement of school facilities and the education system in the school. Keywords: Waqf Muhammadiyah, Advanced Education Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  memaparkan pengelolaan dan dampak wakaf bagi pendidikan di SMP Muhammadiyah Ahmad Dahlan Kota Metro. Adapun yang menjadi latar belakang dalam penulisan ini adalah tuntutan dan harapan masyarakat akan kualitas pendidikan yang lebih besar namun kapasitas yag dimiliki pemerintah belum sepadan dengan permintaan masyarakat. Sehingga gerakan wakaf menjadi salah satu alternative yang ditawarkan untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut. Gerakan wakaf khususnya di SMP Muhammadiyah Ahmad Dahlan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan sesuai dengan jargon Muhammadiyah yakni “pendidikan berkemajuan”.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus.  Sumber data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari sumber data primer dansumber data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Adapun metode analisis data yang dilakukan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gerakan wakaf di SMP Muhammadiyah Ahmad Dahlan Kota Metro tidak hanya didukung oleh kader Muhammadiyah saja melainkan dari simpatisan dan masyarakat umum. Adapun strategi pengembangan wakaf yang dilakukan di SMP Muhammadiyah Ahmad Dahlan Kota Metro terdiri dari (1) penukaran (substitusi) harta wakaf, (2) promosi dan sosialisasi, (3) pengelolaan harta wakaf dengan memprioritaskan alokasi wakaf dengan memperhatikan renstra tahun 2015-2027, (4) menjalin kemitraan dan (5) Memperkuat ajaran Al-Ma’un Muhammadiyah. Dampak wakaf sangat berpengaruh terhadap mutu pendidikan seperti peningkatan fasilitas sekolah dan sistem pendidikan di sekolah tersebut.

<p><em>ABSTRACT</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>This research discusses about how a certain </em><em>technique can impact on the </em><em>quality of </em><em>translation in the statements of responding toward </em><em>arguing</em><em> speech act</em><em>. It aims to determine the impact of choosing a </em><em>certain micro </em><em>technique of translation toward the quality in terms of accuracy, acceptability, and readability. This research can be classified as a descriptive qualitative research which focuses on a single case. The source data of this research is the novel Allegiant, its translation</em><em> in Indonesian</em><em>, and the two raters. Then, the data are collected from the statement that respond</em><em>s</em><em> toward arguing. </em><em>Furthermore</em><em>, </em><em>Focus Group Discussion that has been done by two raters and the researcher is used to assess</em><em> the three aspect</em><em>s</em><em> of translation quality and determine the micro technique</em><em> that has been applied to translate the statement that responds arguing speech act</em><em>.</em><em> </em><em>The result of this research </em><em>is that</em><em> the application of</em><em> micro</em><em> technique of translation </em><em>that </em><em>is </em><em>mostly applied is established equivalent</em><em> technique that has been applied 172 data</em><em> 52,9 % that has been influenced the quality of translation because </em><em>he </em><em>total average of quality translation is 2,97 that is considered as a good translation</em><em>. In other words, </em><em>the establish equivalent </em><em>has a good impact toward quality of translation</em><em> toward statement that responds of arguing speech act</em><em>.</em></p><p><em> </em></p>

In recent times, with the globalization of markets, shrinking of land and climate change, food basket diversification, increase in demand for nutrient-rich food, the protected cultivation of high-value crops (HVCs) have assumed a pivotal role in augmenting higher crop productivity and profitability and enhancing nutritional security of the growing population. In this context, a study was undertaken to analyze the impact of protected cultivation in horticultural crops in the districts of Almora and Dehradun in the Uttarakhand state. It was mainly based on primary data obtained through a primary survey and focus group discussion with the 96 farmers practicing protected cultivation by using a well-structured and pre-tested questionnaire. In economic analysis, the project analysis tools were used to assess the feasibility of the protected cultivation. The study clearly demonstrated that the cultivation of vegetables and flowers under protected cultivation is a highly profitable enterprise. However, the findings of the study indicated that the subsidy scheme needs to be continued to encourage maximum farmers to adopt protected cultivation and farmers need to be encouraged to form farmers producers organizations (FPOs), which would help them in seeking better quality of inputs and enhancing negotiating power in the market to realize maximum returns for their farm produce.

The Impact

The changes in IT sector constantly influencing the performance of banking sector in the world. The emergence of internet banking has changed the way of banks of how to offer the products and services to the customers. In order to survive in the rapidly changing technological environment, the banks are required to adapt such changes and to maintain and improve the services which they are offering to their customers in order to attain the customers satisfaction. Now the term quality does not only include the products but also the services. This paper deals with the internet banking operations and how it affects the service quality of the banks in Punjab. The research is much more of qualitative nature but to prove facts and figures quantitative approach is also used in the paper. The research is descriptive as well as explanatory. In order to arrive at the sample size, non probability method has been used. For the primary data collection a structured questionnaire is used to record the response of various respondents. Secondary data has been collected from annual reports, other published literature of the banks etc. In order to test the impact of internet banking on the service quality of banks seven service quality dimensions model is used. A model with seven dimensions service quality named reliability, assurance, responsiveness, empathy, tangibility, security and communication is used to complete the study. In these seven dimensions 37 variables are covered. For the data analysis the statistical package SPSS 20 is used.  Descriptive statistics is used to analyse the data. The research proves that all the dimensions which are included in the study have a positive impact on the service quality of banks providing internet banking services to their customers in Punjab. The recommendations are also discussed with which the service quality and customers satisfaction can be improved.

Fifty Shades Of Grey

<p>This research is aimed to: (1) identify the kinds of euphemism sexual organ and sexual activity in  Fifty Shades of Grey novel, (2) identify the translation techniques used by the translator in translating sexual organ and sexual activity with euphemism, (3) describe the impact  of translation technique which applied by the translator toward translation quality in terms of accuracy and acceptability.</p><p>This research is a descriptive-qualitative research. Sources of data are Fifty Shades of Grey novel and also informans who assess the quality of the translation. Data were collected by using document analysis, questionnaires, and focus group discussion (FGD). Data were analyzed by using Spradley’s ethnography method.</p><p>The result of this research shows that there are 10 kinds of euphemism in sexual organ and sexual activity in Fifty Shades of Grey novel . The most dominating euphemism sexual organ of this data is general for specific with the percentation as many as 47.14%, while in sexual activity, the most dominating euphemism is hyperbole with percentation 29.37%. In this research there are thirteen techniques which used by the translator to translate sexual organ and sexual activity with euphemism, the technique which dominates is established equivalent with the percentation 47.43%. For the translation quality, 117 data (59,7%) were accurately translated, 66 data (33,7%) were less accurately translated 13 data (6,6%)were not accurately translated and there were 112 data (57,1%) identified as acceptable translation,  74 data (37,8%) are less acceptable translation, and 10 data (5,1%) are not acceptable translation.</p><p>The conclusion of this research shows that lots of euphemisms were found in <em>Fifty Shades of Grey </em>novel and some of translation techniques have negative impact towards the translation quality of <em>Fifty Shades of Grey </em>novel. This research only uses euphemism sexual organ and sexual activity in <em>Fifty Shades of Grey </em>novel. The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of strategic planning in Palestinian Municipalities on the Quality of service provided to citizens. Secondary data were obtained by reviewing journals, books, bulletins, textbooks, scientific articles, newspapers, periodicals etc. Primary data was collected by a specific questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of (45) items divided into three main sections: personal information, the strategic planning, and the dimensions of the quality. A random sample of One hundred and twenty (120) questionnaires were distributed to the employees of Jenin Municipality, one hundred and fourteen (114) questionnaires were retrieved and 6 cases were (missing cases). The researcher adopted SERVQUAL model in this study and made some adaptation on it to match the main objectives of the study. In order to answer the study question the researcher followed the analytical descriptive approach and tested three main hypotheses which were clarified in the study. The Main findings showed that strategic planning has a positive correlation and impact on the quality of the service provided to citizens, as well as the sub-hypothesis, (tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, empathy, and assurance) examined by the view of respondents and this applies to all the four factors (vision, mission, objectives, and the strategic choices), the level of satisfaction of the quality of the service provided by Jenin municipality which was measured by the employees was moderate. The researcher recommended the Palestinian Municipalities to promote quality culture and encourage employees to participate in continuous improvement processes and opportunities for creativity and innovation.

<p class="Abstract">ABSTRACT (English)</p><p>This study focused on the translation of sentences that represent speech complain in subtitle entitled Sex and the City Season 6. The purpose of this study are: (a) describe the type of strategies complain used in novel Sex and the City Season (b) finding techniques translation speech sentences containing tutr acts complained of (c) describes the impact of the type of utterances of speech acts complained of the quality of the translation. The results of this study are: (a) Strategy speech acts complained realized in 7 types, namely strategy hints, annoyance, ill consequences, indirect accusation, direct accusation, modified blame, explicit blame of the Accused's action, explicit blame of the Accused as a person , (B) translation techniques used in translating the speech acts complained of in the form of a single translation techniques and couplets. Penelitian ini menggambarkan mutu kepuasan pelayanan ibadah haji; untuk memperoleh gambaran mutu kemabruran jemaah haji; dan dampak alumni jemaah haji di tengah masyarakat setelah melaksanakan ibadah haji yang diselenggarakan oleh kantor wilayah Kementerian agama Provinsi Jawa Barat. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, jenis data yang di gunakan adalah kulitatif, sumber data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan juga sekunder adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Adapun analisis data dilakukan melalui penafsiran logika yang dihubungkan dengan konteks Manajemen Dakwah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Pertama, Kanwil Kemenag Jabar bidang haji dan Umrah dalam meraih kesuksesannya memperhatikan tahapan-tahapan, yaitu: Perencanaan; Pengorganisasian; Pelaksanaan pelayanan pada jemaah haji. Kedua, Mutu kemabruran jemaah haji didasarkan pada perubahan sikap jemaah haji yang lebih baik. Ketiga, Dampak alumni haji ditengah masyarkat. Secara umum penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa manajemen mutu suatu penyelenggara ibadah haji menghasilkan outcome dari alumni jemaah haji yang mabrur dan memiliki manfaat yang fositif ditengah masyarakat. This study describes the quality of satisfaction of Hajj services; to obtain a picture of the quality of the pilgrims' journey; and the impact of alumni of pilgrims in the community after performing the pilgrimage held by the office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of West Java Province. This research method using descriptive method, the type of data that is used is leather, the data source used is primary data and also the secondary data collection techniques used in the research are observation, interview, and documentation study. The data analysis is done through the interpretation of logic that is connected with the context of Da'wah Management. The results showed that: First, Kanwil Kemenag Jabar field of pilgrimage and Umrah in achieving its success attention to the stages, namely: Planning; Organizing; Implementation of service to pilgrims. Second, the quality of the pilgrims' pilgrimage is based on a better attitude of pilgrims. Third, the impact of Hajj alumni in the community. In general, this study can be concluded that the quality management of a pilgrimage provider produces outcomes from alumni pilgrims who mabrur and has a fossil benefits in the community.
