This research aims to determine the effect of the use of Discovery Learning on the results of learning Pkn in five grade students SDN 02 Aur Kuning Bukittinggi This research is a type of experimental research in the form of Quasi-Experimental Type Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique using total sampling technique with the sample number 40students.This is evidenced by the results of the t-test with a significance level of 5% obtained count (4,28>2,03). The result of Civic learning obtained by the experimental group is higher than the control group, it is shown from mean 77,35 and the mean obtained by the control group is 74,1.

This research aims to determine the effect of the use of Mind Mapping on the results of learning Pkn five grade students SD Negeri 54 Anak Air Kec. Koto Tangah Padang. This research is a type of experimental research in the form of Quasi Experimental Type Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique using total sampling technique with the sample number 60 students. This is evidenced from the results of t-test with significance level of 5% obtained tcount (3,019> 1,67155). The result of Civic learning obtained by the experimental group is higher than the control group, it is shown from mean 80,8 and the mean obtained by the control group is 72,4

This study aims to find out the significant differences in learning outcomes of Civics among students who were taught by the Talking Stick model and students who were taught by conventional learning in grade V students of second semester of elementary school in Gugus I of Gerokgak Subdistrict. This research is a quasi-experimental research with post test only control group design design. The population of this study is the entire class V SD in the first group of Gerokgak District with a total of 126 students. The sample was taken by random sampling technique so that it was obtained by grade V SD Negeri 3 Tukadsumaga as experiment group and class V SD Negeri 1 Tukadsumaga as control group. The instrument of data collection used in this research is objective test of Civic learning result. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Independent sample t-test. The results showed that there were significant differences in the learning outcomes of Civics between students studying with the Talking Stick model and students who were taught by conventional learning. The magnitude of t_hcount is 3,048, while t_tabel at 5% significance level and db = 42 is 2.021. This means t_count> t_table. In addition, the average score of Civics learning outcomes of students who studied with the Talking Stick model (23.08) was higher than that of students taught by conventional learning (19,26). Thus, Talking Stick model model influences the learning outcomes of Civics in Grade V students of Grade II in Gugus I, Gerokgak Sub District, Lesson Year 2017/2018. Suggestions for further research are expected to result in this research can be reused in other lessons.Keywords: talking stick, Civic learning outcomes

This research aims to analyze the effect of the application of ombre technique combined with cat eyes on the slanted eyes shape correction in night makeup that is assessed based on indicator of the impression of the length of the eye, the impression of the width of the eye and folds of the eyelids. This research is a quantitative research with quasi experimental method with Non equevalent control group design. The object in this study were three samples with slanted eyes characteristics. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. Based on the data analysis, it was found that: a) The control group without using scote tape and fake eyelashes showed less optimal results, b) The experimental group using scote tape and false eyelashes showed very maximum results, c)The hypothesis that reads "there is a significant influence on the application of the Ombre technique combined with cat eyes on the results of slanted eyes correction for night makeup" was accepted at 95% significance level because the price of t count> t table (7,721> 1,895).

Learning social studies in elementary school should be taught by focusing on students, but the learning process was still focused on the teacher and used lecturing method. Therefore, the aim of this research was to analyze the use of discovery learning models based on animation media. This research was quasi experimental research with non equivalent control group design. The population of this research was all fourth-grade elementary school students which were consisted of 160 students. The samples were taken by random sampling technique. The sample consisted of 31 students in experimental group and 30 students in control group. Data collection was done by using test in the form of multiple-choice test. The data were analyzed by using t-test. The results of data analysis obtained t-count = 3.302 at a significance level of 5% and dk = 59, the value obtained t-table = 2,000 so that t-count = 3.302> t-table = 2,000. So, the use of discovery learning model based on animation media would have an impact on social studies learning outcomes.

This research is intended to observe the effect of through sociodrama technique in improving students’ interpersonal communication skill at the tenth-grade students of SMK Ar-Rahman Misriadi Langkat. In the research methodology, the writer used quasi-experimental design, focusing on non- equivalent control group design. In addition, to decide the sample of the research the writer used non-probability sampling technique in the form of purposive sampling technique. There were twenty four  male students who had been chosen as the research sample.The sample chosen was classified based on the interpersonal communication  skill in the lower rate. Moreover, the instrument used to decide the sample was the instrument of interpersonal communication skill which provided four options on a Likert scale. The technique of analysis was carried out by using descriptive statistics which provided empirical mean to know the average scores between the pre-test and the posttest in the experimental group and controlled group respectively. The result showed that the score of Asymp. Sig were 0.000 which meant that the interpersonal communication skill of the male students Sig < 0.05. It can be concluded that the high number of increasing of interpersonal communication skill was experienced by the male students  in the experimental group than in the controlled group. Therefore, the result of this research was used to improve the interpersonal communication skill of the tenth- grade male students  at SMK Ar-Rahman Misriadi Langkat.

This study aims to determine how the influence of the open-ended problem approach to the students’ mathematics learning outcomes at grade VII SMP Muhammadiyah Walattasi, Soppeng Regency. The researcher used 2 classes; experimental and control class. This study used a Nonequivalent Control Group Design with quasi-experimental type. The research population is students of grade VII SMP Muhammadiyah Walattasi, Soppeng Regency. Learning outcome data is processed using independent T-test samples through normality prerequisite tests (Kolmogorof Smirnov) and homogeneity tests for variance in statistical tests with significance level (α = 0 .05). Data were processed by utilizing SPSS version 23 software. The results of hypothesis testing indicated that Tcount Ttable or 4,561 2,011, like to see sig data. (2 tailed) the experimental class and the control class 0,000 0.05, Based on these results, it could be conclude that there is an influence of the open-ended problem approach to the students’ mathematics learning outcomes at grade VII SMP Muhammadiyah Walattasi, Soppeng Regency. Kata Kunci: open-ended problem; Students’ Mathematics learning outcome

Abstract: This research aims to determine the effect of learning media based on Augmented Reality to learning outcome of students 10th grade on the concept particle dynamics. This research was done in 10th grade science class: 2 and 4 in SMA 67 Jakarta. The research was done in October-November 2013. The research method is a quasi experimental with a noneqiuvalent control group design and the sampling technique is purposive. Instruments of the research are test (multiple choices) and non test(questionnaire). Data were analyzed quantitatively using the t test, questionare analyzed qualitatively. The conclution : there is the influence of augmented reality-based instructional media on learning outcome of students grade 10th on the concept particle dynamics. Average learning outcome experiment group is higher than control group. The experimental group superior on cognitive level (C1-C4). Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan bantuan video kartun terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Sikur tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dengan jumlah 113 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan melalui teknik purposive sampling dengan siswa kelas XI IPA 2 sebanyak 37 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas XI IPA 1 sebanyak 36 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah nonequivalent control group design. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes tertulis dalam bentuk pilihan ganda yang sebelumnya dilakukan uji validitas, reliabilitas, analisis tingkat kesukaran, dan analisis daya beda soal. Data hasil tes akhir dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dua pihak dengan rumus pooled varians dan diperoleh thitung sebesar (5,318) dengan ttabel sebesar (1,996) pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Nilai thitung lebih besar dari ttabel maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan video kartun berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Sikur. Kata kunci : Model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, video kartun, hasil belajar.Abstract: This research aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning model assisted cartoon video of the physics student learning outcomes. This type of research is a quasi-experimental. The study population was all students (113 students) of class XI IPA SMAN 1 Sikur academic year 2014/2015. Sampling was done through purposive sampling technique with class XI IPA 2 as experimental class (37 students) and class XI IPA 1 as the control class ( 36 students). The nonequivalent control group was used as the experimental design. The instruments used in the form of a written test in the form of multiple choices previously tested the validity, reliability, analysis of the level of difficulty, and analysis about the different power. The final test result data were analyzed using t-test two parties with pooled variance formula and obtained tcount of (5.318) with ttable of (1.996) at the 5% significance level. The value of tcount greater than ttable then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This suggests that the problem-based learning model assisted cartoon video has effect on the student class XI of SMAN 1 Sikur physics learning outcomes.Keywords: Problem-based learning model, video cartoon, learning outcomes

This study is an experimental aims to finding out the effect of problem based learning through experimental methods on student’s physics science process skills of SMA Negeri 1 Selong academic year 2014/2015. The design of this study used pretest-posttest control group design, while the sampling technique used cluster random sampling. The population of this study is students of grade X Science Program SMA Negeri 1 Selong, while the samples are the students of class X 1 (experimental group) and class X 4 (control group). The instrument of this study is the science process skills test. The result data was analyzed by t-test pooled variant two tails. Obtain values thint = 5.38, ttable = 1.99 at the significance level of 5%. Because - ttable < thint > + ttable, then Ho will be rejected and Ha will be accepted which indicates that there is significant the effect of problem based learning through the experimental method on physics science process skills of students of SMA Negeri 1 Selong academic year 2014/2015.

Excessive anxiety during childbirth can cause changes in bodily functions. The impact is that the labor process takes longer, causing complications to both mother and baby. One of the non-pharmacological ways that can be done so that the labor process is gone naturally is by providing complementary massage therapy and frangipani aromatherapy. This research aims to determine the effect of back massage using frangipani aromatherapy oil in the first stage of labor on the duration of childbirth. The type of this research is Quasi-Experimental Design, posttest control group design. The sample is 80 people consisting of the control group of 40 people and the treatment group of 40 people. The sampling technique used is Consecutive Nonprobability Sampling. The data were recorded in the observation sheet. Also. The data analysis was done through univariate and bivariate "unpaired t-test". The results showed that the average duration of childbirth in the control group was 31.25 minutes, while the treatment group was 23.75 minutes. There is an effect of massage using frangipani aromatherapy oil in the first stage of labor on the duration of childbirth at a significance level of 0.01 (p <0.05). In conclusion, there is the effect of massage using frangipani aromatherapy oil in the first stage of labor on the duration of childbirth. It is hoped that midwives will use complementary frangipani aromatherapy massage in providing midwifery care during the first stage of normal labor.
