Learning social studies in elementary school should be taught by focusing on students, but the learning process was still focused on the teacher and used lecturing method. Therefore, the aim of this research was to analyze the use of discovery learning models based on animation media. This research was quasi experimental research with non equivalent control group design. The population of this research was all fourth-grade elementary school students which were consisted of 160 students. The samples were taken by random sampling technique. The sample consisted of 31 students in experimental group and 30 students in control group. Data collection was done by using test in the form of multiple-choice test. The data were analyzed by using t-test. The results of data analysis obtained t-count = 3.302 at a significance level of 5% and dk = 59, the value obtained t-table = 2,000 so that t-count = 3.302> t-table = 2,000. So, the use of discovery learning model based on animation media would have an impact on social studies learning outcomes.

The low students’ competency of IPS (social science) is caused by the not optimal application of creative and innovative learning models and lack of learning media use. This research is aimed to analyze the impact of visualization, auditory, kinesthetic (VAK) learning model assisted with a diorama on social studies competency of elementary school students. It is quantitative research with the experimental design of quasi-experiment and non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this research are 275 grade IV students. Samples were taken with a random sampling technique, resulted in two classes. Class IV numbering 39 students were treated with VAK learning model assisted with diorama, and class IV numbering 37 students treated with conventional teaching and learning. Data were obtained by a common multiple-choice test and were then analyzed using polled variants t-test. It resulted the t count = 6,762 at 5% significance level with 39+37-2= 74 and t table = 1,993. Based on test criteria t count =6,726> t table =1,993. It leads to a conclusion that there is a significant influence of the VAK learning model aided with diorama media on IPS competency of grade IV students.

This research aims to determine the effect of the use of Discovery Learning on the results of learning Pkn in five grade students SDN 02 Aur Kuning Bukittinggi This research is a type of experimental research in the form of Quasi-Experimental Type Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique using total sampling technique with the sample number 40students.This is evidenced by the results of the t-test with a significance level of 5% obtained count (4,28>2,03). The result of Civic learning obtained by the experimental group is higher than the control group, it is shown from mean 77,35 and the mean obtained by the control group is 74,1.

This study aims to determine the effect of ethnomatemics based Realistic Mathematics Education models on the mathematical literacy ability of grade IV elementary school students in the 17th city of Bengkulu on flat construction material. This research is a quantitative research. The research method used was quasi-experimental research using the matching only pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study was the Elementary School Cluster 17 Bengkulu City. The sampling technique uses cluster random sampling. The sample in this study were students of class IV B Elementary School 04 Bengkulu City as an experimental class and students of class IV C Elementary School 11 Bengkulu as a control class. The research instrument used in the form of tests in the form of essay questions provided through pretest and posttest. The instrument used in the study was a test sheet in the form of a breakdown problem for the context of mathematical literacy. Based on the t-test calculation of students' posttest results, there is a tcount of 4.24> ttable of 2.01, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of using ethnomatemics-based Realistic Mathematic Education models on the ability of mathematical literacy in the context components of class IV students in Cluster 17 Bengkulu City

Mathematical understanding is a very important ability possessed by students in solving mathematical problems. The purpose of this study is to find out the improvement in students mathematical understanding using discovery learning models. This research was a quasi-experimental study with a non equivalent control group design. The samples in this study were SMAN 1 Bangkinang, SMAN 1 XIII Koto Kampar and SMAN 2 Koto Kampar Hulu taken by purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used was the t test, and the Mann-Whitney U test. The results showed an increase in mathematical understanding of students learning using discovery learning models is better than students learning to use conventional learning models at the top level of school, medium and as a whole, but at the lower level schools have not increased.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui, pengaruh Subject Specific Pedagogy (SSP) tematik dan pembelajaran tematik yang tidak menggunakan SSP tematik terhadap peningkatan karakter kejujuran dan disiplin peserta didik pada tema peristiwa alam semester genap kelas I SDN di Kecamatan Ujung kota Parepare tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian eksperimen semu dengan nonequivalent groups pretest-posttest design ini mengandung satu variabel bebas dan dua variabel terikat. Variabel bebas adalah Subject Specific Pedagogy (SSP) tematik sedangkan variabel terikat adalah karakter kejujuran dan disiplin. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas I SDN di Kecamatan Ujung Kota Parepare. Sampel dipilih dengan tekhnik purposive sampling, sehingga didapat tiga kelas sebagai sampel penelitian. Kelompok eksperimen 1 dan kelompok eksperimen 2 diberi perlakuan menggunakan SSP tematik, dan kelompok kontrol diberi perlakuan menggunakan pembelajaran tematik yang tidak menggunakan SSP tematik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik angket dan teknik observasi. Teknik angket digunakan untuk mengetahui nilai karakter kejujuran dan disiplin peserta didik. Teknik observasi digunakan untuk mengungkap perilaku karakter kejujuran dan disiplin peserta didik. Teknik analisis data digunakan adalah Analisys of Variance (ANOVA) dengan taraf signifikansi 0.05. Hasil penelitian ini adalah SSP tematik secara signifkan berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan karakter kejujuran peserta didik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran tematik yang tidak menggunakan SSP tematik diperoleh p < α yaitu p = 0,000 < α = 0,05 dengan F = 27,890; dan karakter disiplin peserta didik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran tematik diperoleh p < α yaitu p = 0,000 < α = 0,05 dengan F= 9,294.Kata kunci: Subject Specific Pedagogy tematik, kejujuran, disiplinThe effect of SSP thematic on the increase of characters honesty and discipline of grade 1 elementary school students AbstractThe objective of this study was to determine the different effect between Subject Specific Pedagogy (SSP) thematic and those are not using SSP thematic on students’ characters honesty and discipline, for phenomenon nature theme of grade I of second semester in elementary school students in the academic year of 2013/2014.This is a quasi experimental research with pretest and posttest nonequivalent control group design consisting of one independent variable and two dependent variables. The population comprised year X grade 1 elementary school student in Parepare City Sub-district Ujung. A sample of three classes was established using purposive sampling technique. The first experimental class and second experimental class was taught by using SSP thematic, and the control class was taught using the those are not using SSP thematic. The data were collected through observation and questionnaire. The questionnaire technique was the used to know the student’s characters honesty and discipline value. The observation technique was used to express student of characters honesty and discipline behavior. The data were analyzed of variance (ANOVA) test for the significance level of 0.05.The result of this study is SSP thematic significantly positive effects on student’s increase of characters honesty compared to those are not using SSP thematic the results showed p < α that is p = 0,000 < α = 0.05 with F = 27.890; and SSP thematic significantly positive effects on students increase of characters discipline compared to those are not using SSP thematic the results showed p < α that is p = 0,000 < α = 0.05 with F = 9.294. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of digital teaching materials oriented to multicultural education in improving students' pluralist attitudes. The type of research method used is a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design and a one-group pretest-posttest design with a control group design. The sample used was 108 grade V elementary school students in Setiabudi sub-district who were selected by the probability sampling technique. The results of this study prove that the use of digital teaching materials oriented to multicultural education has a significant value so that it is effectively used in improving students' pluralistic attitudes. This digital teaching material allows students to analyze moral values conveyed through story content. The results of this study can provide contributions and solutions for education practitioners in order to instill multicultural education since elementary school age so as to create a pluralist generation of youth with diversity.

<p><em>The aims of this study was to look at the effect of healthy breakfast education with Islamic Comic Media on the level of knowledge of elementary school students. This study was a quasi-experimental type with pre-posttest control group design. The</em><em> </em><em>sampling </em><em>w</em><em>a</em><em>s </em><em>simple random method as many as </em><em>64</em><em> students, group A was given islamic comic media (n=32) and group </em><em>B </em><em>as control of the group (n=32). Nutrition knowledge level</em><em> </em><em>were obtained from filling out questionnaires. The influence of nutritional education media on increasing knowledge</em><em> </em><em>in </em><em>both</em><em> groups analyzed by Wilcoxon test, and continued with the Mann Whitney test.</em><em> The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant increase in the level of knowledge in islamic comic group (p = 0,000). There is the influence of giving Islamic comic </em><em>about healthy breakfast</em><em> </em><em>to </em><em>elementary school-age </em><em>students' knowledge.</em></p>

This study aims to investigate the effect of portfolio assessment in teaching physics and scientific attitude. The research was conducted on students of high school in Singaraja. Research was an quasi- experimental study by using “The Posttest-Only Control Group Design”. The research involved 152 high school students of class X of science as samples, taken with multistage random sampling technique. Portfolio assessment was integrated with physics learning. The implementation of the portfolio assessment included four key elements such as the students' work folders, clear assessment criteria, and self-assessment, and conference between teacher and students. The data needed in this research was the students' scientific attitude which included the aspect of curiosity, respect for evidence, the willingness to change ideas, and critical reflection. Data needed in this research included scientific attitudes students. A Likert scale instrument was used to measure the scientific attitude students. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance with SPSS 20.0 at significance level α = 0.05. The results showed there are differences in the scientific attitude students who take physics learning with assessment portfolios and students who take physics learning with assessment of conventional. The findings of this study indicate that portfolio assessment in learning physics significantly affect the scientific attitude students.

The aim of this research is to know the impact of the applying Giving Question Getting Answers model with experimental methods toward the learning motivation and result of physics learning. The type of research used was quasi-experimental with posttest only control group design. The population was all student of grade XI in senior high school 1 of  Labuapi. The sampling technique used saturation sampling, while the sample are class XI MIA 1 as the experimental 1 class, and the XI MIA 2 as experimental 2 class. Experimental 1 class was treated with giving question getting answers learning model with experimental methods and experimental 2 class was treated with giving question getting answers learning model without experimental methods. The instrument of motivation learning was used motivation questionnaire and instrument the result of physics learning used multiple choice test. The research hypothesis was tested using Manova-test, data analysis shows that Sig. <0,05 which mean that H0 was rejected and Ha accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there are effect of Giving Question Getting Answers model with experimental methods on student’s motivation and physics learning result.

The ability to think critically and creatively is needed in solving math problems. Secondary school students in Indonesia still possess these two abilities according to the results of PISA research. Therefore, learning studies that influence these two abilities are still feasible to do. This study aims to examine the effect of MEA learning with contextual worksheets on the ability to think critically and creatively in solving math problems. The study was a quasi-experimental study using a post-test only control group design. The research population consisted of 137 class X students of SMK Kharisma Mengwi, Badung Regency, Bali for the 2019/2020 school year, which was spread into five classes with equivalent math abilities. A random sampling technique determined a sample of 2 classes. Data on the ability to think critically and creatively in solving mathematical problems were collected using a test in the form of a description. Data were analyzed using the MANOVA test. The results of the analysis show that MEA learning with contextual worksheets has a positive effect on the ability to think critically and creatively in solving math problems (F = 90.018; p &lt;0.05).
