AbstractThis article aims to find out the competence of the teacher who educates Polytechnic music at SLB Negeri 2 Padang. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive method. The main instrument in this study is the researchers themselves and assisted with the instrument's supporters such as stationery, camera. The technique of data collection is done by way of observation, study of the literature and interviews. The data collected is done analysis with a variety of careful consideration so that the data can be achieved its object and can also be obtained by his righteousness, segingga can answer problems and then made into paper report form thesis. The results showed that the competence of the teachers in Polytechnic study pedagogy at SLB Negeri 2 Padang belongs either. Similarly, with the competence of personality. The teacher has a good personality as well as worthy of dicotoh or be a role model by the learners. Teachers also have the ability of good social as well as professional competence. By mastering the four competencies of teachers, it can perform the nguru demands his profession as a good educator.Keywords: descriptive study, competence of teachers, subjects of musical development

Abstract The research aims to reveal and describe the existence of the Salapan dance in enagarian Air Bangis Kecamatan Sungai Beremas Kabupaten Pasaman Barat. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. This type of research uses primary and secondary data. The main instrument in this research is its own researchers and assisted with supporting instruments such as stationery and cameras. Data collection techniques are conducted by way of library studies, observations, interviews and documentation. The steps for analyzing data are data collection, classifying data, analyzing data, interpreting data and making conclusions. The results showed that the existence of the Salapan dance in the middle of society is no longer exist because this dance is rarely displayed and there is no workshop to defend this dance. The choreographers of the Salapan dance creations have also eliminated the meaning of the tradition of dance by changing the movements and properties of the dance itself. The Salapan dance is no longer displayed at events held by local communities such as weddings, but the Salapan dance is only shown more frequently at the request of Tourism office in West Pasaman and competition events. AbstractThis article aims to describe the implementation of learning art and culture (contemporary music) class XII of MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Sawahlunto. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive method. The main instrument in this study is the researchers themselves and assisted with assisted with observation, interviews, and documentation and study of the literature. The technique of data collection is done by way of observation, interview, documentation and study of the literature. Techniques in analyzing the data is carried out by means of the data processing directly after the field. The results showed that teachers design a simpler contemporary music learning to teach in order to be digested by students given that the study of contemporary music is not a little. In the performance of contemporary music learning, learning that implemented teacher different to what has been written into the draft implementation of learning (RPP). Still found some weaknesses against the methods and strategies that teachers use against learning. Teachers should increase the motivation of students to more focused in the art and cultural learning by doing approach individuals and groups. Facilities and infrastructure provided the school is still minimal, resulting in learning not to be implemented properly.Keywords: implementation and study of art and culture

Abstract This article aims to reveal and describe the existence of Tarea-rea dance in Kenagarian Koto Gadang Guguk Kecamatan Gunung Talang Kabupaten Solok. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The main instrument of this research is its own research and assisted with supporting instruments such as stationery, cameras and Handycam. Data types use primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are conducted by way of library studies, observations and interviews. The steps for analyzing data are data collection, analyzing data, describing data and making conclusions. The results showed that Tarea-rea dance is a art carried by the ancestors of the Guguk people who inherited hereditary with the traditional system. Tarea-rea dance was originally used as a dance at the time of the decline ceremony of rice harvesting. Since 2015 This dance is increasingly popular in the Kenagarian Koto Gadang Guguk as the performing arts. The existence of Tarea-rea dance is still recognized and cultivated by the community and local people also have recognized the existence of the dance in the Kenagarian Koto Gadang Guguk. ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the following things. First, the values of Islamic morality expressed in the novel by Father Hirata Andrea. Second, the motives of the characters in having Islamic morality in the novel by Father Hirata Andrea. Third, the impact of having Islamic character on the characters in Andrea Hirata's Father's novel. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The data used in this study are words, groups of words, and sentences that contain Islamic moral values. This research is sourced from the novel Father by Andrea Hirata. The instrumentation in this study is the researcher as the main instrument. Then, data collection is done using observation techniques. The results of the research in the novel Andrea Hirata's Father are as follows. First, there are 61 data on Islamic moral values in Andrea Hirata's father's novel, which is divided into two, namely 43 praiseworthy moral data and 18 sad moral data. Second, there are the motives of the characters to have Islamic morals consisting of two, namely internal motives and external motives. Third, the impact of having commendable and despicable morals for the characters in Andrea Hirata's Father's novel is also divided into two, namely positive and negative impacts. This research aimed to describe the characteristics of hyperactive children and analyze methods of Islamic guidance and counseling in instilling discipline of Duha prayer in hyperactive children in MI Nurul Islam Ngaliyan Semarang. This research is qualitative research. The data source is a teacher as well as a hyperactive child. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that hyperactive children have discipline problems in implementing the Duha prayer in congregation. Islamic guidance and counseling methods used to embed discipline of Duha prayer for hyperactive children consisting of four methods: the method of habituation, role model, motivation and supervision.***Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan karakteristik anak hiperaktif dan menganalisis metode bimbingan dan konseling Islam dalam menanamkan kedisiplinan shalat dhuha pada anak hiperaktif di MI Nurul Islam Ngaliyan Semarang. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah guru serta anak hiperaktif. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama anak hiperaktif memiliki problem kedisiplinan dalam melaksanakan shalat dhuha berjamaah. Kedua, metode bimbingan dan konseling Islam yang digunakan untuk menanamkan kedisiplian shalat dhuha bagi anak hiperaktif terdiri dari empat metode yaitu metode pembiasaan, metode tauladan, metode nasehat (motivasi), dan metode pengawasan ketika shalat dhuha berjamaah berlangsung.

Balinese language is one of the regional languages in Indonesia that has a unique talk system, it is still alive and used as an instrument of communication of Balinese tribe so that it should be well maintained in order to still exist as a cultural vehicle of Bali. The Balinese language has anggah-ungguh kruna (level-word) that an important role in the formation of speech-level or anggah-ungguh basa Bali. This paper aims to describe the identification anggah-ungguh kruna (word level arrangement) which is the specific feature of speaking Balinese. This research is a qualitative research discuss with structuralism theory. Data collection was done by observation and interview method, assisted by recording technique. The collected data is processed by analytical descriptive method. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be described that anggah-ungguh kruna basa Bali include: (1) kruna nenten alus (kruna kasar, mider, and andap); (2) kruna alus, include: (kruna alus singgih, alus sor, alus mider, and alus madia).

This study aimed to describe (1) type adjectives in Minangkabau language in kenagarian Sungai Abang subdistrict Lubuk Alung district Padang Pariaman, and (2) the process of forming adjective in Minangkabau language in kenagarian Sungai Abang subdistric Lubuk Alung district Padang Pariaman. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive method. The method of data collection was using the method of referring and recording technique. Analyzing the data was done in the form of activities as follows: (1) describes the recording data into written language, (2) identify the data in accordance with the format provided, (3) classify the data into the type and process of the formation of the adjective, and (4) do data deduction based on research result. The data of this research are sentence containing the adjectives expressed by the community in kenagarian Sungai Abang subdistrict Lubuk Alung district Padang Pariaman. The source of this research is Minangkabau language especially oral language of society in kenagarian Sungai Abang subdistrict Lubuk Alung district Padang Pariaman. Based on the results of the research obtained the following results, first adjectives in Minangkabau language in kenagarian Sungai Abang subdistrict Lubuk Alung district Padang Pariaman is as follows: (1) characteristic adjective (character or temperament), (2) color adjectives, (3) shape adjectives, (4) size adjectives, (5) sensory adjectives, (6) time adjectives, (7) distance adjectives, (8) speed adjectives, (9) power adjunctive adjectives, (10) adjectiva adjectives. Secondly, there are two adjunctive adjunctive processes in the Minangkabau language, which are basic adjectives and derivate adjectives that can be sorted on beraffixed adjectives, duplicated adjectives and compounded adjective adjectives. This methods article is a reflection on the use of in-depth email interviewing in a qualitative descriptive study. The use of emailing to conduct interviews is thought to be an effective way to collect qualitative data. Building on current methodological literature in qualitative research regarding in-depth email interviewing, we move the conversation toward elicitation of quality data and management of multiple concurrent email interviews. Excerpts are shared from a field journal that was kept throughout one study, with commentary on developing insights. Valuable lessons learned include the importance of (a) logistics and timing related to the management of multiple concurrent email interviews, (b) language and eliciting the data, (c) constructing the email, and (d) processing text-based data and preparing transcripts. Qualitative researchers seeking deeply reflective answers and geographically diverse samples may wish to consider using in-depth email interviews.

An illocutionary act is a speech act that is usually identified by explicit performative sentences. The research on illocutionary acts in vlogs is an action that shows the meaning of speech during communication. This study aims to describe illocutionary acts on Fiersa Besari's vlog YouTube channel Jangan Lupa Senyum Part 1 along with its speech function. The method used in this research is the descriptive method. The form of research used here is qualitative research. The data source in this study is the vlog Jangan Lupa Senyum Part 1 on the Fiersa Besari YouTube channel. The data in this study are transcripts of conversations between characters in vlogs. Data collection techniques in research using the observation method and note-taking techniques. The findings in the research in this vlog were only 15 utterances of illocutionary speech acts. From the 15 utterances, 7 data on assertive illocutionary acts, 2 directive illocutionary acts, and 7 expressive illocutionary acts. From this research, it is expected that we can understand the function of illocutionary acts that are relevant to everyday life

This study aims to (1) describe the existential drama Oh, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug works of Putu Wijaya which include: (a) freedom, (b) anxiety, (c) the failure, (d) the futility, (e) death, (2) describe absurdism in drama Ah, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug by Putu Wijaya which includes: (a) suicide philosophical, (b) the nature of the symbolic, and (c) of tragedy and comedy. This study focuses on (1) existentialism in the drama Oh, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug by Putu Wijaya which include: (a) freedom, (b) anxiety, (c) the failure, (d) the futility, (e) death and (2) absurdism in drama Ah, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug. This study is qualitative research, using descriptive qualitative research data collection. Descriptive method is a method which seeks to describe a phenomenon, the events that occurred at that time. In this study, descriptive method is used to describe the concept of existentialism and absurdism. This research data use existantialism theory and absurdism in playwrights by PutuWijaya. By using the technique with the data source in the form of three plays, the relevant data collection technique is a technique read. Reading the drama text data collection activities conducted by member’s attention totally focused on the object. Reading and listening is a set of techniques to obtain valid data followed by activities recorded data. This study concluded five concepts of existentialism and three concepts of absurdism. The results showed that existentialism in the drama Oh, Edan, Dag Dig Dug by Putu Wijaya, looked in terms of freedom, anxiety, failure, futility, and death. Three absurdism concepts in drama Ah, Edan, Dag Dig Dug by Putu Wijaya looked through suicide philosophical, symbolic nature, tragedy and comedy.
