Factors Affecting the Problem of Guidance and Counseling  Service Programs in High Schools

The implementation of guidance and counseling services cannot be separated from various factors that can influence. The purpose of this study is to study what factors can affect the implementation of guidance and counseling program services in high school. This study uses descriptive research with survey methods. Data collection techniques used through the instrument contained a questionnaire. The results of the study show that the guidance and counseling program has been well prepared. But the implementation of guidance and counseling is still not good, and this is characterized by high factors that influence the implementation of guidance and counseling service programs. The following are the percentages obtained, among others: personal factors consisting of the competence of the counselor get a percentage of 73% according to the high category; 71% depending on the high category; homeroom teacher obtained a percentage of 79% in the high category; subject teachers earn a percentage of 75%. Non-personal factors consisting of the BK program obtained a percentage of 70 with a high category; Facilities and infrastructure have a percentage of 77% in the high category.

Gifted children in life need service programs to develop their own talents. Gifted children are those who are identified by professionals possessing extraordinary abilities and high achievers. Educational services for gifted children in Indonesia are only limited to discourse or only implemented in some schools only. Until finally the potential of gifted children do not develop, or the development of gifted children is not optimal. Gifted children need to attend special education. Gifted children's education should be distinguished from other children. Because gifted children need different learning processes. On the basis of that, gifted children need to be given guidance and counseling services , with the aim that gifted children can increase their potential and develop their talents.

Guidance and counseling management is very important in the guidance and counseling service, because the management of guidance and counseling is related to the guidance and counseling program that is adapted to the real conditions of students. Guidance and counseling services provide special services or a business that is not directly related to the teaching and learning process in the classroom. Therefore the need for guidance and counseling services is provided so that students are more optimal in implementing the learning process.

In spite of the legal basis for implementing guidance and counseling in higher education is not as complete and detailed as counseling services in primary and secondary education units, a number of regulations indicate that guidance and counseling services are an important element in the organization of college. This research aims to formulate a program of counseling services based on appropriate qur’ani values according to the expert and describe the frequency of usage of the counseling service program to resolve student problems. This developmental research is carried out using the steps of the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of research trial consist of 3 experts and 3 product users (counselors), taken using the purposive sampling method. The analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and Kendall concordance coefficient tests. The results indicate that: (1) a counseling service program based on qur’ani values is considered appropriate to be given to students; (2) the usability level of qur'ani values-based counseling service programs is considered highly usable to be used as a reference in counseling services.

Game Addiction

This study aims to determine the level ofaddiction game in students. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive type. The population of the study was all students of SMP N 25 in Padang City, amounting to 739 people, a sample of 266 people selected using the stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire with a reliability of 0.870 (addiction game). Data were analyzed by descriptive statistical techniques. The results of the study show (1)addiction game to students is generally in the high category, (2) the implementation of guidance and counseling can be designed guidance and counseling service programs to reduce the level of game addiction to students.

The purpose of this study is to answer: how is the implementation of guidance and counseling in Class XI Santa Monika Vocational High School, Kubu Raya Regency? What are the supporting and inhibiting factors in an effort to motivate students to learn in Class XI at Santa Monika Vocational High School, Kubu Raya Regency? How are the efforts made by the Guidance and Counseling teacher in providing student motivation in Class XI at the Santa Monika Vocational High School, Kubu Raya Regency? The results showed that the implementation of guidance and counseling in increasing the motivation of class XI students at SMK Santa Monika was carried out in orientation services, information services, distribution placement services, content mastery services, individual counseling services, group guidance services, group counseling services, consulting services, mediation, and advocacy services. The guidance and counseling service program is still not optimal. Supporting factors from the implementation of guidance and counseling by the school and supporting teachers by making guidance and counseling service programs. Inhibiting factors are the shortage of teachers or counselors, limited time, and teachers who teach are not used to teaching in class. Efforts made by guidance and counseling teachers in increasing learning motivation are recording children by filling in student identities, experiencing or approaching students, making individual or group programs and providing suggestions to class XI students at SMK Santa Monika, Kubu Raya Regency.

Some aspects that are thought to be factors that cause success or failure of students in obtaining good learning outcomes are the ability of students to deal with and solve problems they experience (adversity quotient). The purpose of this study was to look at the effect of adversity quotient (AQ) on student learning outcomes of students and their implications in guidance and counseling services. Based on the results of the study it was found that adversity quotient give contributed to student learning outcomes. The implications of the results of this study can be used as an analysis of the needs of students in the preparation of Guidance and Counseling service programs in schools, especially at Muhammadiyah Middle School in Padang.

PROFIL OF PEDAGOGIC AND PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELORS IN BANDUNG CITY. This study aims to get a profile and description of pedagogic and professional competencies of guidance and counseling teachers (counselor) in Bandung. The research used the quantitative approach with survey methods. The population of this research is 127 counselors of the senior high school in Bandung. The Instrument was the development of Permendiknas No. 27 Tahun 2008 concerning Academic Qualification Standards and Counselor Competencies with ten aspects related to pedagogic and professional competencies. Data analysis techniques in this research are descriptive analysis techniques. The result of the research shows that the profile of counselors is in the competent category but in several aspects need some developed. The result of the research can be used as a need assessment for supervisor in understanding counselors competencies so that it can be used as a basis to provide guidance and counseling services effectively and efficiently.

This study was aimed to determine theinhibiting factors of swimming exercise of eighth grade students at State Senior High School 1 Muara enim. This study was descriptive research with survey methods. The data collection technique used was questioners. The questioners were determining the internal and external factors including 29 items. The population was Ten grade students at State senior High School 1 Muara enimtotaling of 130 students. Data analyses technique used was descriptive analyses. The results indicatedthat theinhibiting factors of swimming exercise of Ten grade students at State Senior High School 1 Muara enimwere 9 students (6,9%) had very high category, 22 students (16,9%) had high category, 56 students (43,1%) had medium category, 40 students (30,8%) had low category and 3 students (2,3%) had very low category. Social Adjustment Profiles Adolescence Who Have Access addicted to Facebook. The process of social adjustment of students who disrupted it can cause problems in the fulfillment of their needs. The research objective of this thesis to obtain social adjustment eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 15 Bandung who had access facebook addiction. The study used descriptive research methods. Questionnaire used was a questionnaire addiction accessing facebook and social adjustment. The results: (1) Addiction adolescence including access facebook high category and (2) the social adjustment of adolescence who access facebook categorized as low, medium and high, (3) the design of personal-social counseling services focus on reducing access facebook addiction indicators and development indicators of social adjustment.

Prokrastinasi akademik merupakan perilaku menunda-nunda mengerjakan ataupun menyelesaikan tugas-tugas akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan gambaran mengenai prokrastinasi akademik yang dialami oleh mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat pengumpul data berupa skala prokrastinasi akademik. Subyek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiwa prodi BK sejumlah 229 mahasiswa yang di ambil dengan cara simple random sampling. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik persentase. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini menggambarkan kondisi prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa pada kategori sangat tinggi sebesar 6%, kategori tinggi 81%, kategori sedang 13%, kategori rendah 0%. Prokrastinasi akademik yang dialami oleh mahasiswa tersebut terdiri dari beberapa aspek antara lain keyakinan akan kemampuan, ganggaun perhatian, faktor sosial, manajemen waktu, inisiatif, pribadi, dan kemalasan. Abstract Academic procrastination is a procrastinating behavior of doing or completing academic tasks. This study aims to provide an overview of the academic procrastination experienced by students. This research is a descriptive research with quantitative approach. This study uses data collection tool in the form of academic procrastination scales. The subjects used in this study are students of guidance and counseling program of 229 students taken by simple random sampling. Data analysis in this research using percentage technique. The results obtained in this study describes the condition of student academic procrastination in very high category of 6%, high category 81%, medium category 13%, low category 0%. The academic procrastination experienced by the student consists of several aspects such as belief in ability, attention disturbance, social factors, time management, initiative, personal, and laziness.
