The purpose of this research  is to describe the strengthening of character education through teachers and parents role model at school and at home. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data were collected through survey and interview by using purposive sampling. The data is analyzed using qualitative data analysis technique. Character education is important in shapping students into individuals who have noble character and good manner. Schools as formal educational institutions are responsible for instilling the values of character education toward their students. Teachers must be the best role models for students in strengthening character education in schools. The parents’ role also determines the success of character education at home. Based on the results of research at MI Ma'arif NU Karanggedang 2 Purbalingga, the values of character education exemplified by teachers and parents are religious character, honesty, tolerance, discipline, social care, creative, independent, care for the environment, love to read, love peace , friendly/ communicative, appreciate achievements, love the homeland, democratic, and responsibility.

The purpose of this research is to find out how the epistemology of Islamic character education in Islamic Elementery School. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The data used are qualitative data. Data obtained from observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this research is qualitative analysis and hermeneutics (interpretation). Islamic character education is applied through habituation activities carried out in madrasas. The teacher has a very important role in shaping the character of Islamic students. The teacher will be an example or role model for their students. Among the habituation activities in madrassas that form Islamic character include shaking hands with teachers, praying dhuha in congregation, tadarus Al Qur'an, and Tahfidz Juz Amma. This habit will form a character that is respectful of the teacher, close to Allah SWT, diligent in praying, love al quran.

Thomas Lickona, has a moral triangle in shaping good character, including moral knowledge, moral feelings and moral actions. The moral triangle is interconnected with one another, so that in its implementation it is able to shape the character of students better, if guidance is carried out continuously by the teacher. Besides that, the dynamics of the prophetic nature of Muhammad SAW, are able to be role models for students. Because by having 4 moral characters possessed by Rasulullah, As-Siddiq, Al-Amanah, At-Tabligh and Al-Fatanah, students can have good morals. The combination of the two can shape students into modest and responsible individuals and are increasingly aware of their role as students in facing their future. This can be realized if teachers and parents support each other and monitor everything students do either at school or at home. What is more important than this, students with self-awareness want to make changes in themselves by imitating the person of the Prophet Muhammad as a role model for the ummah.

Decreased awareness to internalize and inspire the values of Pancasila will lead to the degradation of the nation's character. If left unchecked will have an impact on the morale and attitudes of the younger generation that are not in accordance with the values of Pancasila. This study aims to determine the implementation of character education based on Pancasila values through role models and habituation. This research is based on the library research process. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative-critical, namely by emphasizing the ability of analysis and analysis of selected library sources. The results showed that the implementation of Pancasila values through role models was done by improving the religious side of students, providing guidance and training students' obedience to obey the rules, arouse the national spirit and love of the motherland, instilling democratic attitudes in students, teaching social care and not apathetic. Whereas the implementation of the values of Pancasila through habituation is done by accustoming students to having an attitude of religious tolerance, mutual love and respect for fellow human beings, not making a difference as an excuse to be divided, accustomed to making deliberative decisions, making friends with anyone and having solidarity.

In this chapter, Esther Muddiman draws on qualitative data from interviews with 20 parents of teenagers to explore how parenthood disrupts, complements and triggers various types of civic engagement. The chapter describes how becoming a parent can limit an individual’s ability to maintain their commitment to existing voluntary activities/associational memberships, disrupting previous ties to civil society. However, it also finds that parenthood provides new opportunities for engagement, especially via educational institutions and parental networks; and that the transition to parenthood itself can lead individuals to reflect on their own relationship to society and the values that they would like to pass on to their children: the desire to role-model ‘good citizenship’ within the family home can act as a gateway for participation in civically-minded practices.

There have been many studies concerning Banuroja; however, there is always something novelty in creating a role model for village-based character education where the aim is to create a multicultural society into a multicultural community. This study examines community activities related to the national character values that embody multiculturalism and social integration in the Banuroja community. The method was qualitative with an ethnographic approach. Data were obtained from observations, interviews, and documentation carried out during 2019-2020. The validity of the data used triangulation, member checks, prolonged time, and peer debriefing. While the data analysis technique used ethnographic data analysis, namely describing, analyzing, and interpreting. The result shows that the realization of multiculturalism and social integration in the Banuroja community is carried out using three ways of assimilation, tolerance in beliefs/religions, appreciating other ethnic/religious activities by attending, and mutual cooperation. Guidance is also carried out through national and religious activities in the community, advice from parents in the family, and civic education in the schools, exemplary by community leaders, including ethnic, religious, and youth leaders.

Character education is closely related to moral education, which is to shape and train individual abilities continuously for self-improvement towards a better life. Novel is a literary work that can convey the values of character education. The research aims to analyzing the values of character education in the novel 5 cm by Donny dhirgantoro. This research is a qualitative study using a descriptive design method. the data analysis technique by reading the entire data, analyzing the data in more detail and restating the data by described and interpreting the data. The result of this study are the value of character education  contained in the novel “ 5 cm” by Donny Dhirgantoro, namely, religious, hard work, love to read, friendly and communicative, social care,  and love  the homeland.

Character education is very essential. Good character brings peace, happiness and peace of mind, both personally and socially, even for the nation. Character education reflection is shown in many puppet shows. Wayang as a spectacle and guidance. Wayang as a spectacle is for entertainment, while as a guidance is a vehicle for character education. Which is indeed full of character education. The data source of this research was "Banjaran Bima Play" in the video of Ki Seno Nugroho's puppet show, and is done by exploring and collaborating character education in the Banjaran Bima puppet play and its implications in education. This research used an instrument in the form of data cards. Data collection was done through the stages of observing, transcribing, identifying, and coding. The data validity was established through in-depth observation, repeated studies, extended participation, peer discussions, and source triangulation. Data analysis technique used the steps of classification, description, interpretation, elaboration, and conclusion. The results of the study show the character of (1) Godhead, (2) obedient to teachers and parents, (3) nationalism, (4) integrity, (5) responsibility, (6) discipline, (7) respect for others, ( 8) independent, (9) mutual cooperation, (10) hard worker, and (11) smart. These various characters can be implicated in the field of education, both at the education center (informal, formal and non-formal) and at every level of education (elementary school to university). This is evidenced that these characters are always contained in the Education Curriculum in Indonesia since 1947 to 2013 with various developments. Keywords: character, puppet, Banjaran Bima, spectacle, guidance,  PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM LAKON BAJARAN BIMA DAN IMPLIKASINYA  DALAM PENDIDIKAN Pendidikan karakter amatlah penting. Karakter baik membawa kedamaian, kebahagiaan, dan ketenteraman jiwa, baik secara personal maupun sosial, bahkan bagi bangsa dan negara. Pendidikan karakter banyak ditentukan dalam pertunjukan wayang. Wayang sebagai tontonan dan tuntunan. Sebagai tontonan wayang untuk hiburan, sebagai tuntutan wayang sebagai wahana pendidikan karakter.  Sumber data penelitian adalah Lakon Banjaran Bima dalam video pagelaran wayang oleh Ki Seno Nugroho dengan mengeksplorasi dan mengalobari pendidikan karakter dalam lakon wayang  Banjaran Bima dan implikasinya pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen yang berupa kartu data. Pemerolehan data melalui tahapan mengamati, mentranskripsi, mengidentifikasi, dan kodifikasi. Keabsahan data menggunakan pengamatan yang mendalam/cermat, kajian berulang, perpanjangan keikutsertaan, diskusi teman sejawat, triangulasi sumber.  Analisis data menggunakan langkah klasifikasi, deskripsi, interpretasi, elaborasi, dan inferensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan karakter (1) Berketuhanan, (2) patuh pada guru dan orang tua, (3) nasionalisme, (4) integritas, (5) bertanggung jawab, (6) kedisiplinan, (7) menghormati orang lain, (8) mandiri, (9) gotong royong, (10) pekerja keras, dan (11) cerdas. Berbagai karakter tersebut dapat diimplikasikan dalam bidang pendidikan, baik pada tripusat pendidikan (informal, formal, dan nonformal) maupun pada setiap jenjang pendidikan (Sekolah Dasar  hingga Perguruan Tinggi). Hal ini dibuktikan bahwa karakter-karakter tersebut selalu termuat dalam Kurikulum Pendidikan di Indonesia semenjak 1947 hingga 2013 dengan mengalami berbagai perkembangan. Kata kunci: karakter, wayang, Banjaran Bima, tontonan, tuntunan

This research presents about Kyai's transformational leadership in managing Islamic educational institutions in order to have strong excellence and competitiveness, in the midst of competition between educational institutions. The study of Kyai's leadership has its own uniqueness, considering that Kyai is a charismatic figure and has a high spirituality value for a community of people, who must play a dual role as a leader and also a manager in the educational institution he leads, namely pesantren. This research uses a qualitative approach to with library research. The data analysis technique uses content analysis. The results showed that; Kyai as a transformative leader in managing his educational institutions, especially pesantren has four dimensions; First, charismatic leadership, where Kyai's position is used as a role model by his followers, secondly inspirational motivation, where a Kyai is able to inspire and motivate followers to achieve the goals of pesantren, third, intellectual stimulation which is able to foster ideas and ideas from others to advance pesantren educational institutions, fourth, individualized consideration, in which a Kyai wants to listen to the aspirations and input of others for the development of the educational organization he leads.

This study aims to describe the types of illocutionary speech and the value of character education in the speech on the video podcast of Deddy Corbuzier with Syekh Ali Jaber. This type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Sources of research data are utterances spoken by Deddy Corbuzier, Syekh Ali Jaber, and Gus Mifta in Deddy Corbuzier's Podcast video with Syekh Ali Jaber on Deddy Corbuzier youtube channel. The research data is in the form of sentences that reflect illocutionary speech acts and the value of character education. The data collection technique is done by using observation technique. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model, which includes the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The results showed: (1) types of illocutionary speech acts include assertive, directive, commissive, and expressive speech acts. (2) The value of character education includes the character of social care, religion, honesty, tolerance, love for the country, creativity, democracy, and love peace. Based on the findings, the dominant character education value in the speech activity is the value of religious character. This can happen, because it is influenced by the background of the speaker and the context of the speech.

Religious character education embedded in elementary school children in Kragan Village is still low. The purpuse of this study is to describe the ciltivation of religious characters and to describe the inhibiting and supporting factors in the cultivation of religious character education in elementary school children through religious activities in the Bajigur House, Kragan Village, Rembang Regency. The research was conducted in Kragan Village, Kragan District, Rembang Regency. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study were elementary school children aged seven to eleven years. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, documentation, field notes. This data analysis technique uses data reduction, data display, and coclusions. To test the validity of the data using triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the inculcation of religious character in elementary school childern through religious activities in the Bajigur House can be well embedded, including through the fardhu prayer in congregation, reading and writing al-qur’an activities, reading sholawat performed before prayer and Friday, reading letters yasin together on Friday night. As for the supporting factors in shaping the religious character of students, including getting more support from parents and the surrounding community as well as adequate facilities. While the inhibiting factors in the ciltivation of character education include students who really need guidance from teachers and parents, this is due to the different backgroundsof students, lack of supervision from teacher and parents, this is due to the lack of awareness of students and parents regarding the value of religious character, and tha lack of enthusiasm for childern to participate in these activities, this is due to environmental factors or the association of students both at school and at home and lack of support from parents.
