Decreased awareness to internalize and inspire the values of Pancasila will lead to the degradation of the nation's character. If left unchecked will have an impact on the morale and attitudes of the younger generation that are not in accordance with the values of Pancasila. This study aims to determine the implementation of character education based on Pancasila values through role models and habituation. This research is based on the library research process. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative-critical, namely by emphasizing the ability of analysis and analysis of selected library sources. The results showed that the implementation of Pancasila values through role models was done by improving the religious side of students, providing guidance and training students' obedience to obey the rules, arouse the national spirit and love of the motherland, instilling democratic attitudes in students, teaching social care and not apathetic. Whereas the implementation of the values of Pancasila through habituation is done by accustoming students to having an attitude of religious tolerance, mutual love and respect for fellow human beings, not making a difference as an excuse to be divided, accustomed to making deliberative decisions, making friends with anyone and having solidarity.

The purpose of this research  is to describe the strengthening of character education through teachers and parents role model at school and at home. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data were collected through survey and interview by using purposive sampling. The data is analyzed using qualitative data analysis technique. Character education is important in shapping students into individuals who have noble character and good manner. Schools as formal educational institutions are responsible for instilling the values of character education toward their students. Teachers must be the best role models for students in strengthening character education in schools. The parents’ role also determines the success of character education at home. Based on the results of research at MI Ma'arif NU Karanggedang 2 Purbalingga, the values of character education exemplified by teachers and parents are religious character, honesty, tolerance, discipline, social care, creative, independent, care for the environment, love to read, love peace , friendly/ communicative, appreciate achievements, love the homeland, democratic, and responsibility.

Education includes character education, which is a deliberate process to instill character in students. Character education is very important, because with character, humans will be noble and become special beings compared to other creatures and even fellow human beings. Because of the very importance of character education, the existence of a method to achieve it also becomes very important. This study aims to elaborate exemplary methods in character development. By using library research and reflection methods, this research found that modeling is the most important and most effective character education method provided that: it is comprehensively carried out by educators in each educational environment; conducted together with other educational methods; and shown in three aspects: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor.

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the relationship between values education and character education in the material of norms and justice for grade 7 SMP/MTs subjects of Pancasila and Citizenship Education. This study uses a qualitative approach by means of library research as a technique of collecting data from various related references to analyze content. The results of the study indicate that value education and character education in civic education have an integrated relationship with each other. With value education, students have values in themselves which are considered good, right, worthy and valuable to take action. Actions based on these values are manifested in character education as a guide for good behavior in the family, school, friendship, community. Good character values must always be instilled in children from an early age so that they become good habits and reflect human beings who have character and are civilized or make good citizens. The values contained in character education are manifested in civic education subjects, one of which is in the material of norms and justice for grade 7 SMP/MTs.Keywords: education, character, values, normsAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterkaitan pendidikan nilai dan pendidikan karakter dalam materi norma dan keadilan kelas 7 SMP/MTs mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan cara studi kepustakaan sebagai teknik pengumpulan data dari berbagai referensi yang terkait untuk menganalisis konten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pendidikan nilai dan pendidikan karakter dalam pendidikan kewarganegaraan saling memiliki keterkaitan yang terintegrasi. Dengan pendidikan nilai, peserta didik memiliki nilai-nilai dalam diri yang mana dianggap baik, benar, layak dan berharga untuk melakukan tindakan. Tindakan berdasarkan nilai tersebut terwujud dalam pendidikan karakter sebagai pedoman dalam bertingkah laku baik di lingkungan keluarga, sekolah, pertemanan, masyarakat. Nilai-nilai karakter yang baik harus selalu ditanamkan sejak dini kepada anak-anak agar menjadi kebiasaan yang baik dan mencerminkan manusia yang berkarakter serta beradab atau menjadikan warga negara yang baik. Nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam pendidikan karakter diwujudkan dalam mata pelajaran pendidikan kewarganegaraan, salah satunya pada materi norma dan keadilan kelas 7 SMP/MTs.Kata kunci: pendidikan, karakter, nilai, norma

Education should lead to creating human beings who believe in the Divine. Here, their personality in the characteristics of ‘Ibadurrahman is to become true believers, as mentioned in the Holy Qur’an. Such characteristics as the faithful servants of God are necessarily taught in Islamic education. The word ‘Ibadurrahman as stated in the Qur’an (Surah al-Furqan, verse 63-77) is indeed the core of character education. This article describes what and how the character of ‘Ibadurrahman works and how it constructs the objectives of Islamic education. Methodically, this article is a library research considering the data examined and analyzed are based on library references. The result shows the Holy Qur’an has set an example of human personality, a true believer who owns the character of ‘Ibadurrahman, the loving servant of God. To this end, the millennial character education must refer to constructing the personality of ‘Ibadurrahman to build civilization

The purpose of this study was to determine the concept of character education in the perspective of Ki Hajar Dewantara and their implications in education today. This research was focused on the literary reference books and relevant sources. The data were taken by library research and qualitative approach literature which is a purely literary study, using the method of documentation to find the data on things or variables in the form of notes such like books, magazines, documents, regulations, daily notes, meeting notes, journals and so on. The research found that Ki Hajar Dewantara respected by the people as well his enemy, because he has extensive knowledge and unique thinking. Ki Hajar Dewantara gives hope for the bottom to be able to get an education as well as the national spirit culture homage to his educational concept. Ki Hajar Dewantara has among systems, which educators have a very important role, namely as role models and mentors for the students, so that parents and teachers are required to behave well in front of their students. As pointed out above, it is important to writers to contribute in the form of suggestion, such as Ki Hajar Dewantara’ concept of thought has an applicable relevant concept in the purpose of building and maintaining character education up to now.

A dignified national generation can be formed by instilling the values of character education. Value is a normative standard that influences humans in determining their choices. One of the figures who has the value of character education and has a big influence in Indonesia is Sutan Sjahrir as one of the founding fathers of the Nation. The purpose of writing this paper is to find out the values of character education contained in Sutan Sjahrir as one of Indonesia's heroes based on his existence in Indonesia's historical records. The method used in this writing is library research. Library research or library research is a research method that utilizes library sources to obtain research data. Data analysis includes four components, namely data collection, data reduction, data display, and data verification or conclusion drawing. The basic character values possessed by Sutan Sjahrir include religion, tolerance, democracy, hard work, responsibility, creative, independent, communicative and fond of reading. Sutan Sjahrir's character education values for the nation & state are related to those stated, including patriotism, love for the country, self-sacrifice, nationalism, and social care. These values are very useful in shaping character to create the next generation who has a social spirit and become the pride of the family, nation and state. Tolerance, democracy, hard work, responsibility, creative, independent, communicative and fond of reading. This study is focused to reveal character education in the folklore of South Kalimantan. the matter will be examined in this study are: (1) How character education that relate to yourself?; (2) How character education that relate to our fellow humans?; and (3) How character education related to the environment?; The methods used in this research is descriptive analysis method. The techniques used for data collection are the techniques of exploration.The data in this study is a collection of the folklore of the South Kalimantan, published by Lembaga Pendidikan Banua Banjarmasin, the mold is second in 2006 and third in 2008 mold. The result of this study is there are few of character education values mentioned, divided by three object: that relate to yourself (hard work, curious, responsible, independent, entrepenuer,); relate to our fellow human beings (obedient, social care, democratic); and relate to the environment (care for the environment).

Abstrak: This  research   aims  to  find  out  the  sources   of character   education   at Islamic  schools,   character- building  values application  and actualization.   This research  was conducted  in SMA Mubammadiyah I Yogyakarta  and MA Muallimin  Muhammadiyah   Yogyakarta. The  result  of research   showed  that  teacher's   perception   on character   education  relied  on Islamic precepts   to create  akhakul  karimah-human    beings.  The  sources  of character   education   included Quran  and as=Sunnah/Hadist   as well  as Ijtihad.  The character   value  implantation   was  carried  out through   learning   in the  classroom,   precedents   from  figures,   teachers   and  peers,  well-behaving familiarization   in the presence  of rule and order, personality  report,  and extracurricular   activities  in knowledge,  skill, sport, art, and organization  fields. The form of character-building  values actualization emphasized   more  on the Islamic  activities  such as collectively   shalat,  reading  and reciting  Quran, social service, participating   actively  in IPM, hizbul wathan,  and tapak suci organizational   activities. In addition,   there  were  kader  inti/an,  mubalig  jumat,   mubalig   hijarah,   fasting,  Friday  sermon, becoming  the orator  in pengajian,   and flag ceremony.  Such these  activities  reflected  on religious, cooperative,   leadership,   loving-to-homeland,    social care, environmental   care, and creative  values.Keywords:  Education,  Character,  Muhammadiyah.

Abstract: This research is motivated by the problems of moral degradation of teenagers and the role of the model in Indonesian society today. Therefore, it is needed to examine the characters who become role models and thoughts about manners to produce the seeds of the successor of the noble nation of noble character. This research uses qualitative approach. This means that the approach by thinking the opinions of experts or phenomena that exist in people's lives. This type of research using research type library research that collects data or scientific papers that aims with the object of research or collecting data that is literary. In collecting data, the author uses documentation techniques. As for the technique of data analysis using content analysis, namely data processing by separate sorting related to the discussion of some ideas or thoughts of educational leaders who later described, discussed and criticized. The results of this study conclude that the concept of moral character education perspective based on Al-Qur'an and Sunnah Rasulullah SAW and Reason. The goal of human rights perspective education is to reach the i'tidal (soul balance) achieved by developing four factors, namely syaja'ah, 'iffah, wisdom, and' is. A prominent method of morality education of HAMKA is the method of virtue, exemplary method, live in method, and method of habituation. <p>Abstract: THE PARENTS' ROLE IN EDUCATING CHILDREN SINCE<br />INFANCY IN THE FAMILY. The child is a boon and mandate entrusted by<br />God to His servant who will be asked for the responsibility in the Hereafter.<br />The obligation as a parent is to provide education to children starting from<br />an early age. The development of early childhood is strongly bound by the<br />environment and the family. This paper aims to describe the role of parents<br />to the education of children. The study in this paper uses literature study or<br />library research method. The result of this study is that family is the first<br />place where children get education. Children's character and personality is<br />formed first in the family. Parents should have a concept or provision in<br />educating their children that includes moral or character education,<br />science education, religious education, be fair to the children, and give<br />attention and affection to children. Parents become role models for their<br />children. Therefore, the role of parents is very important in the<br />development and formation of children's character from an early age.</p><p>Anak merupakan anugerah dan sekaligus amanah yang<br />dititipkan oleh Allah kepada hambaNya yang akan dimintai<br />pertanggungjawabannya di akhirat kelak. Kewajiban sebagai orang tua<br />adalah memberikan pendidikan kepada anak yang dimulai sejak usia<br />dini. Perkembangan pada anak usia dini sangat terikat oleh lingkungan<br />dan keluarganya. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjabarkan peran orang<br />tua terhadap pendidikan anak. Kajian dalam tulisan ini menggunakan<br />metode studi kepustakaan (library research). Hasil dari kajian ini yaitu<br />bahwa keluarga merupakan tempat pertama dimana anak memperoleh<br />pendidikan. Karakter dan kepribadian anak dibentuk pertama kali di<br />dalam keluarga. Orang tua hendaknya memiliki konsep atau ketentuan<br />dalam mendidik anaknya yang meliputi pendidikan moral atau karakter,<br />pendidikan ilmu pengetahuan, pendidikan ilmu agama, bersikap adil<br />terhadap anak, serta memberikan perhatian dan kasih sayang kepada<br />anak. Orang tua menjadi suri tauladan bagi anak-anaknya. Oleh sebab itu<br />peran orang tua sangatlah penting dalam perkembangan dan<br />pembentukan karakter anak sejak dini.</p>
