UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MATA KULIAH PENJAS ADAPTIF MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN STUDENT CENTER LEARNING DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MODEL ROLE PLAY AND SIMULATION

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan prestasi belajar mahasiswa PJKR angkatan 2010 Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014 dalam matakuliah Penjas Adaptif dengan menerapkan pembelajaran student center learning dengan mengunakan model role play and simulation. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode clasroom action research Dengan populasi mahasiswa kelas J berjumlah 31 orang. Setelah menerapkan pembelajaran Student Center Learning dengan model role play and simulation diperoleh data dari hasil evaluasi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa awalnya  dinyatakan belum mencapai KKM karena 12 mahasiswa hanya mencapai nilai di bawah 70. Sedangkan data hasil setelah menggunakan pembelajaran student center learning dengan menggunakan model role play and simulation menunjukan adanya peningkatan pada hasil post test, dengan hasil 31 mahasiswa semuanya mencapai 100% di atas nilai KKM. Kata kunci: Penjas Adaptif, Pembelajaran SCL, Model Role Play & Simulation.

The research was pointed to progress the students’ speaking abilities of the tenth of  SMA Negeri 1 Pejagoan by actualizing the role-play technique. It was carried out based on the strategy that had been arranged some time recently. The observation was action research. It was conducted in three cycles with one assembly in the to begin with cycle and 2 gatherings in the moment and third cycle. The subjects of this inquire about were 32 students of lesson tenth grade at SMA Negeri 1 Pejagoan. The subjective information were collected by watching the educating and learning handle, and meeting the students, the instructor and the collaborators. The information were in the shape of field notes, meet transcripts, and photos. In the interim, the quantitative information were collected through evaluating the students’ speaking execution by comparing the implies of the pretest and post test. The information were the students’ speaking ability. The strategy of the inquire about comprised of surveillance, arranging, acting, and reflecting. The comes about of this inquire about appeared that the utilize of Part Playing procedure was effective to move forward the students’ talking capacity. Based on the subjective information, the utilize of classroom English made a difference the understudies to be more recognizable with English. The lexicon and elocution hones and part play exhibitions too made a difference them to improve their lexicon information and construct their exactness.

This Collaborative Classroom Action Research aimed at enhancing students’ speaking skill through the application of Circle Game. It was conducted in one cycle consisting of two meetings. The subject was the seventh of C class of SMPN 2 Alas Barat consisting of 22 students. The types of data were qualitative (acquiring observation during the learning process) and quantitative (speaking tests). The results qualitatively showed that the implementation of Circle Game enhanced the students’ speaking skills. Such improvement could be seen from their enthusiasm, their interesting feeling in various materials presented by the teacher, their active involvement. In the quantitative findings, the result also showed a higher value of the mean score of the post-test (77.34) rather than the pre-test (75.75). In conclusion, the use of Circle Game can improve students’ speaking skill.

This study attempts to improve students’ writing achievement in recount text through Think-Pair-Share Strategy. This study was conducted by using classroom action research. The subject of the research was class VIII-1 SMPN 1 Pematangsiantar. The number of the students was 32 students, consisted of 5 males and twenty seven females. The research was conducted in two cycles and consisted of six meetings. The instruments for collecting data were writing tests as the quantitative data and diary notes, observation sheet, interview sheet and questionnaire sheet as qualitative data. Based on the writing score, students’ scores kept improving in every test. In analyzing the data, the mean of the students’ score for the first test as a pre-test was 57.84, for the second test as a post test I was 73.56, for the third test as a post test II was 77.56. Based on diary notes, observation sheet and questionnaire sheet, it was found that students were actively involved in writing process. The result of the research showed that Think-Pair-Share Strategy can improve students’ achievement in writing recount text.   Keywords: Think Pair Share, Writing, Recount text, Action research

Writing is a form of an art and integral part of language learning. The present study concerns with development of writing skills through peer and teacher correction technique. As an action research in nature, the research aimed to test the progress of the students while writing an essay. After the analysis of data collected through test items, it was seen improvement in students writing in post test than in pre-test. The students (Ss1-Ss10) were found using the words in an increased order and grammatically correct sentences in their writing in each test made and committed less grammatical errors in post test than in pre and progress test. Regarding mechanics of writing, their writing was found systematic in case of punctuation, proper use of paragraphs, in coherence and cohesion in writing. The peer correction and teacher correction technique was found productive in teaching writing through action research as a whole. The following study is a result of an action research carried out in an English as a foreign language class in a subsidized Chilean school, where 77 % of its population is at social risk. 38 of the participants are seventh grade students. The study addresses students’ willingness to participate in speaking activities in English class before and after the implementation of a drama based pedagogy strategy known as scripted role-play. The students showed great commitment to scripted role-play as a way to learn English. Participants had the chance to work collaboratively with their peers in a safe and engaging environment, improving their social skills as they performed different roles. The study concludes that students are willing to participate in speaking activities after the use of scripted role-plays. This result is also coherent with the students’ perceptions of the intervention.

This study investigates the EFL classrooms to identify the role of interaction in reading comprehension classes. Student-student interaction through the form of pair-work was introduced while the pre-test and post-test measured its effect. Adequate classes were observed to identify the level of the control group students. This study tried to find out the role of interaction in facilitating students’ reading comprehension. It had found that when the students got the opportunity to interact through pair-work, they became their source of input. And it was evident that after the introduction of interaction, their comprehension ability enhanced as they correctly answered more questions in the post-test than in the pre-test. Based on the results, the study also recommends the introduction of interaction to enhance students’ skill in listening, speaking, and writing.

This study examines whether the use of Oral Drills and Role-Play method could improve students’ interactive speaking achievement. This study used quantitative research using pre-experimental method with one group pre and posttest design. The study was conducted in SMP Advent II, Setia Budi, Bandung. The participants of this study were 30 students from the first year students at SMP Advent II Setia budi, Bandung as the sample and they were grade VII at SMP Advent II Setia Budi, Bandung. This study used one experimental group as the sample. A pre-test and post-test were done. The experimental group was given treatment (Oral Drill and Role-Play Method). The data gathered was then statistically calculated and analysed. According to the interpretation, if p Value (Sig.) ≤ 􀟙 (0.05) then HA is accepted and H0 is rejected and If p Value (Sig.) ≥ 􀟙 (0.05) then H0 is accepted and HA is rejected. After calculating the data it was known that the p-value = 0.000 lesser than alpha 0.05. Result of the study showed that there is a significant difference in improving students’ interactive speaking achievement after using oral drills and role-play method.   Keywords: Interactive Speaking, Oral Drills, Role-Play Method

Pendahuluan: Salah satu komponen yang penting dalam pelajaran adalah metode mengajar, yang merupakan suatu cara untuk mencapai tujuan pengajaran. Metode mengajar adalah suatu pengetahuan tentang cara-cara mengajar dipergunakan oleh seorang guru atau instruktur. Cara memberdayakan peserta didik tidak hanya dengan menggunakan strategi atau metode ceramah saja, Salah satu metode yang terdapat pada student center learning adalah metode cooperative learning.Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis perbandingkan antara keefektifan penerapan metode student center learning model cooperative learning dengan metode ceramah terhadap hasil belajar mata kuliah Komunikasi pada mahasiswa D IV Semester 2 di ITS PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta.Metode: Eksperimen dengan rancangan quasi eksperimen (Pre and Post test group). Subjek penelitian mahasiswa keperawatan anestesiologi Semester 2. Subjek berjumlah 62 responden.Hasil: Rata-rata nilai pretest metode ceramah adalah sebesar 60,42 (± 7,14) dan rata-rata nilai pretest metode cooperative learning sebesar 60,60 (± 7,15) dan rata-rata nilai pretest metode ceramah 60,42 (± 7,14) sedangkan rata-rata nilai posttest metode ceramah 96,28 (± 3,89). Selisih rata-rata nilai posttest dan pretest 35,86 dan rata-rata nilai pretest metode cooperative learning adalah sebesar 60,60 (± 7,15) sedangkan rata-rata nilai posttest metode cooperative learning 86,88 (± 6,23). Selisih rata-rata nilai posttest dan pretest 26,28 dan rata-rata nilai posttest metode pembelajaran ceramah sebesar 96,28 (± 3,89) dan rata-rata nilai posttest metode pembelajaran cooperative learning sebesar 86,88 (± 6,23). Pada saat penerapan metode ceramah, dari 35 mahasiswa, kesemuanya aktif, terlihat dengan banyak mahasiswa yang bertanya tentang materi yang disampaikan, serta mampu menjawab pertanyaan yang diberikan oleh dosen ataupun pertanyaan yang berasal dari teman. Saat penerapan metode cooperative learning mahasiswa kurang aktif dalam kegiatan diskusi. mahasiswa kurang memahami perannya, serta kurang mampu untuk bertukar pendapat.Kesimpulan: Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan, terdapat keefektifan penerapan metode student center learning model cooperative learning dengan metode ceramah terhadap hasil belajar mata kuliah Komunikasi pada mahasiswa D IV Semester 2 di ITS PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta.Kata Kunci: Metode Student center learning, cooperative learning, metode ceramah, keefektifan

AbstrakPerilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) merupakan sekumpulan perilaku yang dipraktikkan atas dasarkesadaran individu untuk mencegah permasalahan kesehatan. PHBS di sekolah mengajarkan salah satu upayauntuk memberdayakan siswa, guru, dan masyarakat lingkungan sekolah agar tahu dan mampu mempraktikanPHBS, dan berperan aktif dalam mewujudkan sekolah sehat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahuiperbandingan metode ceramah dan role play terhadap pengetahuan tentang PHBS pada pelajar SDN NumanaKecamatan Wangi-Wangi Selatan Kabupaten Wakatobi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metodekuasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pelajar SDN Numana Kecamatan Wangi-WangiSelatan Kabupaten Wakatobi dengan jumlah pelajar 110 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 30responden terbagi masing-masing 15 responden di setiap kelompok ceramah dan kelompok role play denganteknik pengambilan sampel secara nonequivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwaada peningkatan pengetahuan kelompok ceramah (mean pre-test = 24,33 dan mean post-test = 29,80) dankelompok role play (mean pre-test = 20,60 dan mean post-test = 30,40) setelah diberikan intervensi. Hasil ujistatistik menggunakan Mann-Whitney U Test menunjukan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan tingkat pengetahuanpost-test pada kelompok ceramah dan role play (Pvalue = 0,60 > α = 0,05). Metode role play lebih efektifterhadap pengetahuan tentang PHBS di SDN Numana, Kecamatan Wangi-wangi Selatan, Kabupaten Wakatobijika dilihat dari selisih rata-rata masing-masing kelompok.Kata Kunci: PHBS; ceramah; role play; pengetahuan

The research is aimed to the use of think inside the box strategy be able to improve students vocabulary mastery. The subject of this study was 20 students at second grade students of SMPN 4 Praya Barat Daya. In which consist of 8 males and 12 females. It was classroom action research with two cycles, each cycles of four steps: planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The data gathering used written test, and questionnaires and analyzed by using quantitative and qualitative approach. At the result of the first cycle was failed where the mean score of pre test was 62.35 and class percentage was 30% and he mean score of post test was 70.25 and class percentage was 65% and the result of the second cycle that the mean score was 80,2 and the class percentage was 80% indicating the target of 75 of the minimum criterion has been achieved, it means that the action was stopped.
