Arabic learning can take place at various ages of either children, adolescents or adults. Learning Arabic is something needed for especially Muslim because it is important in Muslim life. This paper will explain about the Arabic learning strategy for children. This is important to discuss because children need special strategies in learning for their ages. In collecting information, the writer uses library research method, which is done by comparing several literary sources, especially those that are the main source of discussion to discuss about the existing problems. Then, as the result, language learning is a help to determine how, and how well, learners learn a foreign language. There are many variations on learning strategy. Arabic learning strategies for children include playing, singing, telling stories, projects, demonstration, and conversation. By using the suitable and fun strategy, children can develop their potential well and effectively. The selection of learning strategies depends on children’s ages and characteristics.

In the world of education the dichotomy between religion and general science is no longer a new problem in the Islamic education system. This discourse has emerged for a long time and is still a complex issue that has not been resolved. This is due to the boundary between religious and non-religious studies taught in each educational unit. From this, Fazlur Rahman proposed the idea of ​​reforming all Islamic education systems. What is gained from experience, making observations and various research. So this research focuses on the intellectual biography of Fazlur Rahman, Fazlur Rahman’s educational thoughts and educational thoughts in Indonesia, and the relevance of the two. Qur’an is the main source of Islamic Education or Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) teaching materials. In the Qur'an, there are various stories repetitions that are presented well. Repeating the story allegedly has a close relationship with Islamic education learning strategy. The purpose of this study is to provide an understanding that the repetition of stories in the Qur'an can be used as a learning strategy for Islamic religious material. This library research used qualitative data. The data is in the form of primary sources, such as ‘Psikologi Kisah dalam Al-Qur’an’ book The data that had been tested were then analyzed using the content analysis approach of repetition story as PAI learning strategy. The results showed that the concept of stories repetition in the Qur’an is very relevant to be used as PAI learning strategy. The results of the study showed that the story repetition concept in the Qur'an is very relevant to the Islamic education learning strategy. These stories become part of an effective and efficient learning strategy in equipping students with various Islamic studies. The repetition taught by Allah in the Qur'an and prophet in Hadith is one of learning principles. The principle of repetition in learning should be implemented in the Islamic education. So, all methods applied in learning must use repetition.

Since long time ago the position of women became second class in the view of society. Not only in obtaining social status, they also get this diksriminasi in health and education. In this paper aims to discuss some of the things that become unease about Islamic education received by women. Although many islamic leaders are well known, unfortunately the drivers of women's Islamic education in Indonesia are very difficult and rare to find. This research uses library research using philosophical approach. Data collection techniques used in articles are by documentation techniques that collect data material in the form of sources of books in the library, articles related to writings related to research. The results showed that women's standing is needed trobosan and movement proves directly through various things and various fields. The establishment of a girls' early childhood school, to build a university based on Islam that combines it with general science, is able to open the face of women as a figure worthy to be recognized the greatness of Islamic Education received by these women contains a variety of knowledge that is able to improve their position and position as a mother and as a wife.

The Western has always insulted Islam as an out of date, irrational, dogmatic, mystical, static, undemocratic religion and so on. Despite the fact, Islam is a religion that rahmatan lil ‘alamin, dynamic and democratic. But the Western negative assessment of Islam is very strongly attached to their memory. So it’s quite difficult to change the Western understanding of Islam. Furthermore, Islamic societies who are too fanatical tend to shut down and reject the modern era. That is what make the problem more complex. Therefore, Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals sought to overcome this problem by developing Neo-modernism/ Post-modernism (in the 20th century). This is in accordance with the purpose of this article which is to find out Islamic discourse and Neo-modernism/ Post-modernism in the perspective of Nurcholish Madjid and Abdurrahman Wahid. The Research was conducted using a qualitative approach of the type of library research. The results of this study indicate that according to these two figures Post-modernism can be used as a bridge to develop Islamic thought as a religion that will always exist in all space and time, but Islamic values must remain radiated in the modern era. Thus, as Muslims especially intellectuals must be able to balance religion and general science.

The Norwegian school reform “Knowledge Promotion”, implemented from 2006 onwards, focuses on the schools’ responsibilities for fostering student learning strategies. This article reports from an empirical study of high school students’ motivation, learning strategy use and self-regulation in science. An extensive questionnaire was administered to 532 students in five high schools in Oslo. The students (16-17 year olds) attended the first year of the 3-year academic specialization program, where they take a compulsory general science course. The questionnaire also asked the students about their science teacher’s behaviors and about student-teacher interactions. The relationships between teacher behaviors and students’ attitudes and habits are studied in the article. The results show several distinct gender differences. For example, the girls report using memorization strategies more than the boys do in science, while boys emphasize elaboration strategies and critical thinking more.

Abstract The “Ayo Mondok” Movement is part of the pesantren's response to modernity. In the modern era like this, there are still many Muslim societies in Indonesia that make pesantren a reference for formal and informal educational institutions. Indeed, initially the pesantren was only traditional and only aimed to explore the science of religion. However, along with the modernization of the times, Islamic boarding schools have not only become institutions to explore religious sciences but also general science. This paper explains the history and development of pesantren, and how the system of pesantren education answers the challenges of modernity. To get the desired results, the research library was chosen by researchers as the research method in this study. The results of this study reveal that Islamic boarding schools are a gathering place for santri to get religious knowledge from a cleric. The beginning of the pesantren was only a simple hut which was built as a makeshift with the aim of getting closer to the kyai or the teacher intended for the purposes of studying religion. While the system of pesantren education is still using the book of salaf or more familiarly called kitab kuning.   Keywords: Islamic Boarding School, Modernity and Islamic Education   Abstrak Gerakan Ayo Mondok merupkan bagian dari respon pesantren menghadapi modernitas. Di era modern seperti ini, masyarakat Muslim di Indonesia masih banyak yang menjadikan pesantren sebagai rujukan lembaga pendidikan formal maupun informal. Memang pada awalnya pesantren hanya bersifat tradisional dan hanya bertujuan untuk mendalami ilmu agama saja. Akan tetapi seiring dengan modernisasi zaman, pesantren tidak hanya menjadi lembaga untuk mendalami ilmu agama saja tetapi juga ilmu umum. Tulisan ini menjelaskan tentang sejarah dan perkembangan pesantren, dan bagaimana sistem pendidikan pesantren menjawab tantangan modernitas. Untuk mendapatkan hasil yang diinginkan, maka  library research dipilih oleh peneliti sebagai metode penelitian dalam studi ini. Hasil dari kajian ini mengungkapkan bahwa pesantren merupakan tempat berkumpulnya para santri untuk mendapatkan ilmu agama dari seorang kyai. Awal mula pesantren hanya berupa pondok sederhana yang dibangun seadanya dengan tujuan untuk mendekatkan diri kepada kyai atau guru yang dituju untuk keperluan menimba ilmu agama. Sedangkan sistem pendidikan pesantren sampai sekarang masih tetap menggunakan kitab salaf atau lebih familiar disebut kitab kuning.   Kata Kunci: Pesantren, Modernitas dan Pendidikan Islam

Research method using library research. Result of research indicate that there are three things should be done by pesantren in doing transformation include : First. Pesantren must use practical purposes that  producing a generation of Islam. not only a smart serve smart vertically but also horizontally. Second: Pesantren must use ideological purposes it should be pesantren as main pillars of  <em>aqidah</em> who ruled the General Science. Third : Pesantren make changes to the format, shape, orientation and method of education with no change the vision, mission and spirit of boarding, but the change only on the outside only, while on the side in the still retained  <em></em></p><p class="Default"><strong><em><br /></em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Abstrak</em></strong></p><p>Fenomena Pesantren telah mengadopsi pengetahuan umum tetapi tetap mempertahankan pengajaran buku-buku klasik sebagai upaya untuk meneruskan tujuan utama dari lembaga, yaitu untuk mendidik para  ulama. Dalam upaya melakukan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di era global, maka pesantren perlu melakukan transformasi. Metode penellitian menggunakan library research. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada tiga hal yang seharusnya dilakukan oleh pesantren dalam melakukan transformasi meliputi : Pertama. Pesantren  harus memiliki tujuan praktis yang menghasilkan satu generasi Islam tidak hanya pintar melayani secara vertikal tetapi juga secara horizontal. Kedua: Pesantren harus memiliki tujuan ideologis, seharusnya pesantren sebagai pilar utama pembentukan aqidah yang menguasai Ilmu Pengetahuan Umum; ketiga: Pesantren melakukan perubahan pada format, bentuk, orientasi dan metode pendidikan tanpa mengubah visi, misi dan semangat pesantren, tetapi perubahan hanya di luar saja, sementara di sisi dalam masih dipertahankan</p>

Tulisan ini berusaha menjelaskan tentang penerapan strategi pembelajaran berbasis multiple intelligences dalam mata pelajaran pendidikan agama Islam. Tulisan in merupakan hasil dari penelitian kualitatif yang dengan fokus penelitian kepustakaan atau library research. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah data-data hasil penelitian terdahulu yang relevan dengan pembelajaran berbasis multiple intelligences. Metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif digunakan sebagai pisau analisis tulisan ini. Hasil dari analisis tersebut adalah Multiple intelligences atau kecerdasan majemuk merupakan kemampuan yang dimiliki seseorang untuk menciptakan, menjawab atau menyelesaikan suatu masalah baru. Setiap peserta didik mempunyai kecerdasan dengan kemampuan yang berbeda-beda. peserta didik mempunyai cita-cita dan tentunya cita-cita setiap anak berbeda satu dengan yang lainnya. Oleh sebab itu setiap peserta didik mempunyai keunikan tersendiri dalam kecerdasan dan pola berpikirnya. Peserta didik akan lebih mudah menguasai suatu bidang jika memang dia berbakat dalam bidang itu. Begitu juga dengan keterampilan yang dimiliki setiap anak, akan berbeda juga. Jadi, pada dasarnya peserta didik mempunyai keahlian dan kecerdasan dalam bidangnya masing-masing. Dengan menggunakan metode yang sesuai dalam sebuah aktivitas pembelajaran. Maka akan tercipta proses dan hasil pembelajaran yang efektif. Sesuai dengan kecerdasan yang dimiliki setiap peserta didik. This article tries to explain about the application of multiple intelligences learning strategy based on Islamic religious education subjects. This is the result of a qualitative research with a focus on literature or library research. Sources of data used is data of previous research results that are relevant to multiple intelligences based learning. Qualitative descriptive analytical method of analysis used as the blade of this article. The results of the analysis are multiple intelligences, is the ability of a person to create, answer or solve a new problem, Each learner has the intelligence with the various ability and skill and learners also have different aspiration and ideals. Therefore, every student has its own uniqueness in intelligence. Learners will be easily master the field he is gifted on. The skills possessed by each child, will be also different one another. So, basically learners have the expertise and intelligence in their respective fields. In developing the intelligence necessary learning and learning strategies implemented by a teacher. By using the appropriate method in a learning activity. This article is to reveal that education is not only dealing with issues of intelligence and thinking, but it is also fully responsible for the development of a student's character. Due to the said reason, it is important to explore such research considering that the mental situation of this nation is clearly correlated with the spirit of national education which has been value-free. Our educational philosophy is indeed intellectual, but our learning strategy is no longer concerned with the mental, moral, and developmental aspects of enlightening thinking skills. Al-Qur'an for Muslims is not a mere religious scripture, but it is also indeed to be an enlightening guide to find some basic principles of education which can then inspire in developing a qualified education. This study uses the Qur'anic literature method as well as descriptive and qualitative research with a library research approach by analyzing Qur’anic verses. This article analyzes the signs of al-Qur'an as the basic framework for building an enlightening education.
