Islamic education always places the Qur'an and the Sunnah as its source, method, and goal. Efforts to define the meaning of education become the main issue and become the basis for implementing Islamic education. This article aims to uncover and describe and at the same time reconstruct the model of Islamic education, especially in Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah (MI). Using a descriptive analysis approach from relevant literature sources will provide a complete description of the Islamic model in Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah. In this study, it can be argued that Islamic education has unique characteristics compared to the concept of education in general. Besides having a transcendental aspect, it is also very considerate of kawniyyah aspects (ṭabī’ah al-insān and ṭabī’ah al-ḥayāh). Based on the findings of this article, it can give implications for the model of Islamic Education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, which should not only develop religious material but also pay attention to available material, both of which must be integrated so that there is no dichotomy of knowledge that creates inequality for the output of Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah itself in the era of globalization.

The Madrasa as Islamic educational institutions has a crucial role in promoting multicultural education values so that students avoid prejudice, suspicion, and intolerance. The Akidah Akhlak Teachers at MI Masalikil Huda 2 have a unique way to promote these values, namely through constructivism-based learning strategies. With a qualitative approach relying on the interview, observation, and documentation techniques, the researchers try to answer two important questions; how the teacher's strategy in introducing students to the values of multicultural education and what approaches they use in the learning process in the classroom. Finally, this research concludes that teachers instill the values of democracy, tolerance, equality or equality, brotherhood or kinship, and the value of unity in learning Akidah Akhlak. There are four constructivism strategies in the delivery of multicultural education, namely cooperative learning, conceptual achievement, exemplary, habituation, and role-playing. They also rely on historical approaches, gender perspective approaches, and aesthetic approaches. Thus, the claim that the madrasa is inconsistent in delivering Islamic religious material with a multicultural perspective is refuted by the findings of this research. Keywords: Multicultural Education, Constructivism Learning Strategies,  Cooperative Learning.

This article focuses the epistemological processes through which a thirteenth-century Spanish Crucifix in less than pristine condition transformed from an obscure rural Catholic devotional into an art commodity and celebrated work of medieval art now exhibited at the Memorial Art Gallery of the University of Rochester (MAG) in Rochester, New York. By situating the Spanish Crucifix within the nascent art historical epistemology and museum movement in the late eighteenth to early twentieth century, this article offers a case study in how religious material culture becomes embedded in capitalistic systems as products or commodities, yet suggests the ways that critical religious studies approaches might enhance our understanding of religious material culture in fine arts museums.

Tentu saja bukan perkara mudah untuk mengajar bahkan mencetak anak-anak usia dini menjadi penghafal al-Qur’an. Dalam konteks inilah kajian living qur’an ini ingin mengungkap bagaimana metode yang digunakan oleh Sekolah Tahfidz Anak Usia Dini Shahabat Qur’an (TAUD SAQU) Jember dalam pembelajaran al-Qur’an untuk anak usia dini. There has been a spreading phenomenon in which many of today's youth societies tend to go wild and out of control. Most of such functions tend to be surrounded by individuals who indulge themselves in sinful acts instead of doing a self-discovery process to gain the God's blessings. Having seen many youths tend to enjoy doing forbidden acts and restrain-free activities, therefore Majlis Gaul community proposed a new way of da'wah. The community employs a subtle and a heart warming way of conveying da'wah. It is no longer conventional preaching which is in the form of oral da'wah, but they employ transformative da'wah method. This transformative da'wah is implemented in social change activities, by using da'wah as a religious material and positioning the dai (preacher) as the conveyer of religious messages to the community. The current study is a qualitative research with descriptive qualitative approach. In this study, the data are presented in descriptive texts. The results of this study are: 1) In shaping the Islamic character, Majlis Gaul community held a "Brother Camp" as well as some "Kajian Inspirasi". 2) Majlis Gaul invited Muslim youths to join activities such as sports (archery and horse riding). 3) The transformative da'wah done by Majlis Gaul was carried out by means of dialogue, exchanging thoughts and feelings. 4) The effort of Majlis gaul to do transformative da'wah is carried out by preaching through social media. This is because preaching through social media has become an increasingly globalized and entrenched phenomenon.
