The analysis of the key agents for the formation of patriotic practices in youth and the nature of their influence on young people as subjects of patriotic activity is of considerable interest to sociological science and practice which determines the purpose of this work in the specified format.  The methodological basis of the study is formed by the provisions of the activity paradigm, The article also uses the results of a large-scale sociological survey conducted as part of the research project “Civic patriotism in the formation and development of solidaristic practices in the south of Russia: resource potential and conditions for its implementation”. The study concludes that one of the reasons for little involvement of south-Russian youth in patriotic activity is that the patriotic ideas translated at the level of patriotic value formation by such agents as family, educational institutions, government agencies, and the media diverge from the youth’s orientation on the content of patriotic practices involving different agents and institutes.

The article defines that the state is assigned the task of managing changes, especially in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, and this includes the purposeful development, adoption and implementation of organizational, regulatory, coordinating, controlling and motivational influences aimed at updating, innovative content, modernization or large-scale reform of education, as well as appropriate support for the processes of educational transformations that have already begun and are continuing. The essence and purpose of the concept of distance learning is analyzed. It is proved that this is an individualized process of acquiring knowledge, skills, skills and methods of cognitive activity of a person, which occurs through the interaction of remote participants in the educational process in a specialized environment using computer equipment and communication networks. It is noted that among the variety of prospects and advantages of this type of training, there are also significant disadvantages. It is noted that distance learning is based on the principle of flexibility of place, time, and pace of learning, especially during the COVID–19 pandemic. The ability to influence certain aspects of their learning increases students’ internal motivation. Independent responsibility for your own learning activities is formed gradually, so you should increase your autonomy in the learning process. Regarding the consequences of closing schools and switching to distance learning, there are interrupted learning, nutrition problems, stress for teachers, especially older people, parents ‘ lack of preparation for distance home education, deterioration of child care, economic losses, unforeseen burden on the health system, social isolation, difficulties in measuring and checking the assimilation of knowledge. It is determined that the crisis that brought the educational process to remote mode became a motive for revaluing the tools and tools of digital technologies introduced in educational institutions earlier.

In 2016, the Swiss government tasked a commission of experts to investigate its former coercive welfare measures. Before 1981, innumerable children, young people and adults alike were affected by them. From the very start, this commission drew those affected into their research—with ambiguous consequences, both for the people themselves and for the research project. Criticism of this undertaking in the media resulted in a vehement reaction. A discussion over a cup of coffee did not bring the parties involved any closer to a common understanding, but at least it enabled the historian to assess the impact of his intervention. In a best-case scenario, the result of such discussions can enable de-escalation.

Project X Haren research revisited. A critical analysis of the research project about the role of the media in the Facebook riots in September 2012 Project X Haren research revisited. A critical analysis of the research project about the role of the media in the Facebook riots in September 2012 In September 2012 the Dutch town of Haren witnessed a real-time version of a Project X party, starting with a Facebook event page and culminating in riots and substantial property destruction. The Cohen Committee studied the alleged mobilizing role of the news media and social media in the start-up phase. In this article a critical analysis will be made of the results and the methodology of this study. The results will be placed in the perspective of scientific research traditions on media and mobilization processes leading to large scale social disturbances. The Cohen Report tried to prove that a ‘cross-media-hype’ developed based on the critical mass on Facebook, but the empirical data contradict this position. They show that Facebook exploded after the first reports on Project X Haren in the news media. The concept of ‘cross media interactions’ leading to a powerful and comprehensive media hype is also quite problematic. It will be shown that new concepts are needed to analyze these complex interactions, combining different research paradigms on (online) media, youth culture and mobilization.

This article argues for the need to pay attention to the dynamics of refusing and rejecting the use of media to better understand a highly mediatized consumer society. The theoretical background utilizes resistance to the media, family contexts of socialisation and mediated society. We analysed 18 interviews carried out in Portugal – undertaken as part of wider research project involving 40 young people and their families, on their relationship with the media regarding citizenship rights –, which showed signs of non-use of media. This article characterises these individuals, their contexts and motives. Through identifying refusal of the internet, social networks, news and television, we arrive at distinct five types: “I do not like and I do not want to use”; “At this stage of life, no!”; “Split between I can’t have and I can’t buy it”; “I don’t want to draw attention to myself and don’t want to get ‘hooked’”; and “Doing something different and doing it better”.

Peculiarities of informational and psychological influence on social consciousness as a destructive tool in the conditions of conducting the information-psychological war are considered in the article. The danger of informational and psychological influence on the citizens’ consciousness is that such influence changes the normal behavior of people, their reactions to the surrounding world. It makes the person's psyche vulnerable and encourages the individual to destructive actions against society. This is a danger not only for the psychological state of an individual member of society, but also for the whole country. The purpose of the study is to reveal the peculiarities of informational and psychological influence on social consciousness in the conditions of the information-psychological war. The research was conducted using the following methods: methods of mathematical statistics, experiment, prosopographical method. It was proved that the verification of information received from the media is not verifiable by representatives of student youth on the basis of the survey. Informational and psychological influence is an important tool for conducting the information-psychological wars and operations. It is seriously detrimental to social consciousness. Young people need special protection because the future of the country depends on them. It is noted that there is a need to develop mechanisms for protecting young people from negative informational and psychological influence. The media must submit proven information in a dosed form using a simple vocabulary. Government agencies should develop rules of work in the Internet space of the state, which will help to protect society as a whole, and student youth in particular, from the negative informational and psychological influence.

Modern mass media, as an important means of informing the public, determines people’s consciousness, shapes their interests and determines the mood. It has also successfully incorporated the role of an educator from the very beginning. Thus, the media linguistics plays a special role in spreading the native Georgian language, as well as in raising the literacy rate of the population. Language is the main tool to guide human cognitive activity. Although, there are many examples of media trying to comply with linguistic norms, modern broadcasting fails to maintain proper Georgian; digital media being particularly full of many linguistic and stylistic errors. It should also be noted that electronic media is the only source of information for many, especially the young people. Given the high social importance, journalists should be careful with dealing with the language. The development and transformation process of mass media in the global information space is not only indirectly but also directly reflected, especially in the formation of the Internet media linguistics. The current social and political changes in the country have also affected the process of language deformation. The scientific article deals with the influence of media language on the linguistic features of the Georgian society. It discusses the problematic issues of modern publicist thinking, focusing on the linguistic distortions that modern journalists are characterized with. The speech problem of media representatives is topical, complex and large-scale. Their speeches are the basis of the communicative interaction of the society, contribute to the linguistic influence, national identity, mutual understanding of people, perception of the world. The media significantly influences the value system, mentality and literary norms used in any society. Violation of literary norms, which is observed in modern Georgian media, has a negative impact on the audience and the level of literary competence of the speakers.

Cultural and educational activities are an important and indispensable segment of each archive. The same is manifested through various forms of action of exhibitions, cooperation with the media and educational institutions. We are talking about various facilities and projects that have multiple goals. One is presentation and affirmation of archival material as cultural heritage, as well as archives and archival activities. The second is the involvement of citizens, especially young people (students) in the project activities, thus raising awareness of the importance of the written cultural heritage. Opening the archives for citizens and society, through cultural and educational and other facilities at the time of global trends in the world, it certainly top priority. In this sense, the overall results are reflected in the level of affirmation, and (lack of) opennes of archives to society. Therefore, this paper aims to highlight the importance of cultural and educational activities, through the experience of the Archives of Tuzla Canton, for affirmation and greater openness of our Archives to professional, scientific, cultural, and the general public.
