Efforts to improve caregiver’s knowledge on hallucination is by providing an education the caregivers. Enhancing such knowledge can be carried out by different methods, include lecture and watching video methods. The purpose of the present research was to compare the effectiveness of lecture  and watching video method in enhancing caregiver’s knowledge on hallucination.          The research used a quasi-experiment method with a pretest and posttest group design, with the research sample was 60. The sampling technique used was a total sampling. The scores of caregiver’s knowledge were determined by a questionnaire of knowledge on hallucination that was self-developed by validity test (0.707) and reliability test (0.968). The data obtained was then tested by using Independent Sample T-test, Mann-Whitney test, and Wilcoxon test.          The result of pretest of caregiver’s knowledge before the intervention showed that there was no difference between intervention and control group (p-value=0.624), while result of posttest of caregiver’s knowledge after the intervention showed that there was a significant difference between lecture group and video group (p-value=0.000). The research findings revealed that there was a significant increase in the scores of knowledge for both methods (p-value=0.000), but the increase of video group’s knowledge score was higher (4.23) than that of lecture group (2.57).          The conclusion of the research was that wathing video method was more effective than lecture method in enhancing caregiver’s knowledge so that video can be used as an alternative method for mental health education.

Anemia is one of the public health problems that need more attention of the female because they experience menstruation and they are in the growth phase. From the data of Semarang City Health Office  in 2011, it is shown the incidence of anemia in adolescents aged 10-19 years old are 68.24%. The prevention effort of the case is by measuring hemoglobin and prescribing blood supplement. The objective of the study is to find out the effect of Fe tablets on Hemoglobin in Semarang Merchant Marine Polytechnique students. The objective of the study is to find out the effect of Fe tablets on Hemoglobin in Semarang Merchant Marine Polytechnique students. This research used pre-experimental design with the two group pretest posttest. The population in this Study were all Merchant Marine Polytechnique Semarang at the 4th semester of female students  amounting to 50 with the total respondents 34 respondents taken with purposive sampling technique. The data were collected by performing Hemoglobin examination. The results of the study show that the average Hemoglobin before being prescribed Fe on the intervention and control group was 11.29 g/dl. After being prescribed Fe to the intervention group, it is found the average increased to 13.69 g/dl, while in the control group it is found averaged 11.72 g/dl. Bivariate Analysis uses an independent t test, the value of t is 6.136 with a p-value of   0.000. It shows that the p-value is 0,000 <((0.05), this indicates that there is a significant difference in the decrease in Hemoglobin levels in the population after being prescribed blood supplement between the intervention and control groups in The Semarang Merchant Marine Politechnique Students. It is suggested that the female adolescents to consume more iron-containing foods or consume Fe supplements such as Fe, during menstruation. ABSTRAK  Anemia merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang perlu khusus nya pada remaja  putri yang perlu mendapatkan perhatian khusus karena remaja putri mengalami mestruasi tiap bulan dan dalam masa pertumbuhan . Hasil Data Dinas Kesehatan Kota Semarang tahun 2011.  Kejadian anemia pada remaja usia 10-19 sebanyak 68,24%. Untuk menangani masalah tersebut pencegahan yang dilakukan yaitu dengan cara mengukur hemoglobin dan pemberian suplemen tablet tambah darah . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat Pengaruh Pemberian Tablet Fe Terhadap Hemoglobin Pada Taruni Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat Pengaruh Pemberian Tablet Fe Terhadap Hemoglobin Pada Taruni Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan  pre-eksperimen design dengan rancangan Two group pretest posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian iniadalah seluruh taruni politeknik ilmu pelayaran semarang semester 4 berjumlah 50 taruni dengan jumlah sempel 34 responden dengan tehnik pengambilan sempel purposive sampling. Pengambilan data dengan melakukan pemeriksaan Hemoglobin.  Penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata Hemoglobin sebelum diberikan pada taruni kelompok intervensi  dan  kontrol sama yaitu  11,29 g/dl.  Dan setelah diberikan pada kelompok intervensi  rata-rata meningkat menjadi 13,69 g/dl, sedangkan  kelompok kontrol rata-rata sebesar 11,72 g/dl. Analisis bivariate Menggunakan uji t independen, didapatkan nilai t hitung 6,136 dengan p-value sebesar 0,000. Terlihat bahwa p-value 0,000 <a (0,05), ini menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan secara signifikan penurunan (selisih) kadar Hemoglobin b pada taruni sesudah diberikan tablet penambah darah antara kelompok intervensi dan kontrol pada taruni Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang.  Hendaknya bagi remaja putri lebih banyak mengomsumsi makanan yang mengandung zat besi atau mengomsumsi suplemen yang mengandung besi seperti Fe terutama saat mestruasi

Abstract Background: Cancer patients with chemotherapy experience fatigue as cancer effects and cell destruction due to the toxicity of chemotherapy drugs. Objective: Determine the effectiveness of relaxation breathing exercises to fatigue cancer patients who undergoing chemotherapy. Methode: This research used quasi experiment pretest and posttest method. There were 92 respondents who examined using purposive sampling technique and divided into 46 respondents as intervention group and 46 respondents as control group. Relaxation breathing exercise was given four weeks for intervention group on April-July 2018 in Siloam Hospital Manado. Result: The majority of cancer patients were age 45-65 years 69,9%, 54,3% were diagnosed cancer ≤1 year and 79,3% received combination chemotherapy. The result of Wilcoxon test revealed there was significant difference before and after intervention to fatigue (p value = 0,00), with mean rank of reduction 21,97% on fatigue. The result of Mann Whitney test revealed that there was significant difference in fatigue between intervention and control groups (p value = 0,00). Multivariate logistic regression revealed that there was an effect of relaxation breathing exercise on fatigue (p value = 0,00) and relaxation breathing exercise may reduce 60,46 times of fatigue on patients who undergoing chemotherapy. Conclusion: Relaxation Breathing Exercise can reduce fatigue in cancer patients who undergoing chemotherapy in Siloam Hospital Manado. It is recommended to perform relaxation breathing exercise as a routine exercise for cancer patients during chemotherapy to minimize fatigue. Anemia is one of the indirect causes of maternal mortality. The Government of Indonesia has made efforts to overcome anemia, including by giving iron tablets to pregnant women. To improve maternal compliance in consuming iron tablet healthcare workers should include family/cadres in the supervision of food and medicine. This study aims to know the effectiveness of accompaniment drinking iron tablet By Cadres Against Increasing Hb Level of Pregnant Women at Puskesmas Kota Palangka Raya. This research is a quasi-experimental design using "nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest design" approach. Sampling technique total sampling is with the number of samples of 62 people divided into 2 groups, 31 intervention groups, and 31 control groups. In the intervention group involving cadres as moderate blood-boosting drink companions in the control group without blood-boosting companions. The analysis technique used for the intervention and control group is using the Wilcoxon test. The result of intervention group statistic test get p-value = 0,000 (

Aim: The present study is aimed to assess the effect of distraction therapy during venipuncture in reducing pain among 6-12 years children in the selected hospital at Bhubaneswar. Methods: The study was a double blind; Randomized control trial design was used and the formal consent was obtained from Pradyumna Bal Memorial Hospital and the investigator selected 182 samples using consecutive sampling technique and then randomized into experimental and control groups. The intervention group and the control were having 91 samples each. Measurement of pain experienced by the school going children was assessed with the help of Wong-Baker Faces Pain Scale. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. Result: The mean pain score of children in experimental group was 2.571 and the standard deviation was 2.006. The p value in comparing the pain level of children in control and experimental group was <0.01, which was statistically significant at p<0.05 (confidence interval 95%) level indicating that there was significant difference in the post test level of pain between the experimental and control group. Conclusion: Hence the distraction therapy was responsive in reducing the vein-puncture pain among school going children.

Assigning homework to students make they are learning more effective and they comprehend the assigned task in depth by applying drill and practice activities. The current study examines the effects of assigning homework on the achievement of students at the primary level. The population of the study was 100 boys’ primary schools. The sample respondents of the study were students of class 5th consist of a total of sixty students and each group such as experimental, comparison, and control group was twenty students. The experimental, comparison and control groups of the students were selected by the flipping of the coin as to which will be experimental, comparison, and the control group. The researcher adopted a simple random sampling technique. The data were collected through pre and post-standardized achievement tests based on mixed items (mix tests) developed by the researcher. The researcher developed fourteen lesson plans to teach the fourteen lessons. The pre and post standardized achievement tests were conducted, collected, and evaluated under the supervision of the researcher. Data were analyzed in the form of one-way ANOVA to find out the significant difference in f-value and p-value of the experimental, comparison, and control group regarding the 14 selected topics taught. The research concluded that there was no statistically significant difference in p-value and f-value in the achievement of the students in experimental, comparison, and control group from the lessons 1-6 due to repetition and diffusion in lessons and there was a statistically significant difference in p-value and f-value in experimental, comparison and control group from the lessons 7-14 taught. The data were presented in the form of tables.

Background:Immunization in infants is an action that can cause trauma due to injection of the immunization that can cause pain. Breastfeeding and non-nutritive sucking are considered to be non-pharmacologic strategy of pain management.Objective: This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of breastfeeding and non-nutritive sucking on pain relief in infant immunizationMethods: This was a quasy experimental study with posttest only control group.  This study was conducted on 26 October till 30 November 2016 at hree Community Health Centers (Puskesmas), namely Puskesmas Cilacap Utara I, Puskesmas Cilacap Tengah, and Puskesmas Cilacap Selatan I. The population was infants aged 2-4 months who got immunization of DPT-HB-Hib 1. Samples were recruited using consecutive sampling technique. There were 69 samples in this study, which were divided into three groups. 1) The group was given a breastfeeding intervention (23 respondents), 2) The second group was given a non Nutritive sucking intervention (23 respondents), and 3) The control group (23 respondents). Data were analyzed using ANOVA.Results: The pain response of the three groups was groups was 2.74 in breastfeeding group, 1.87 in non-nutritive sucking group, and 3.26 in control group. There was a significant difference between non-nutritive sucking and control group with p-value = 0,000, and also the significant difference between breastfeeding and non-nutritive sucking with p-value = 0.016. However, there was no difference between breastfeeding and control group with p value = 0.142.Conclusion: Breastfeeding and non-nutritive sucking were effective in reducing pain during infant immunization. It is suggested that midwives could administer these interventions to reduce pain in infant immunization, and it could be applied as non-pharmacological strategy in pain management in the Community Health Center in Indonesia.

Menarche for young women is a sign that the fertile period has started. Some young women when experiencing menarche feel afraid and feel anxious. this is due to the adolescent's understanding that menstruation is a disease, and its impact is that it can cause anxiety. This study aims to analyze the use of multimedia video learning media about menarche towards the attitudes of students in readiness to face menarche. This research is a quasy experiment (Noneequivalent Control Group Design). The research was conducted at SD Inpres 1 and SD Inpres IV Tamalanrea, Makassar City from January to February 2020. A total of 48 grade V students were divided into two groups, namely 24 in the control group (lecture method) and 24 in the intervention group (multimedia video learning media and lectures) were selected based on purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results of statistical tests showed that in the control group (p-value 0.001 <0.05) and the intervention (p-value 0.001 <0.05) there were significant differences in attitudes after being given the intervention of multimedia video learning media about menarche. The conclusion in this study is the use of multimedia video learning media and lectures can improve the attitude of young women in readiness to face menarche. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisisi penggunanaan media video learning multimedia tentang menarche terhadap sikap siswi dalam kesiapan menghadapi menarche. Penelitian ini merupakan quasy eksperimen (Noneequivalent Control Grup Design). Penelitian dilakukan di SD Inpres 1 dan SD Inpres IV Tamalanrea Kota Makassar pada bulan januari sampai februari 2020. Sebanyak 48 orang siswi kelas V dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yakni 24 orang kelompok kontrol (metode ceramah) dan 24 orang kelompok intervensi (media video learning multimedia dan ceramah) yang dipilih berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling. Data dianalisis dengan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil uji statistic menunjukkan pada kelompok control (p-value 0.001<0.05) dan intervensi (p-value 0.001<0.05) didapatkan perbedaan sikap yang signifikan setelah diberikan intervensi media video learning multimedia tentang menarche. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penggunaan media video learning multimedia dan ceramah dapat meningkatkan sikap remaja putri dalam kesiapan menghadapi menarche. Background: Hospitalization can be a threatening and stressful experience for children. Because of unfamiliar with the environment and medical procedures and unaware of the reasons for hospitalization, it can result in children’s anger, anxiety. Objectives: The objectives of the study are to do the baseline assessment of anxiety score of hospitalized children of experimental and control group, to assess the effectiveness of play therapy and to assess the pre and post intervention score of anxiety across different sub group of anxiety disorder like Separation anxiety, Social phobia, OCD, Panic/agoraphobia, Physical injury fears, Generalized anxiety. Methods: Randomized clinical control trial design with control group was used and the formal consent was obtained from Pradyumna Bal Memorial Hospital and the investigator selected 60 samples using consecutive sampling technique (taking every patient who met the selection criteria over the specified time period) and then randomized into experimental and control groups. Measurement of anxiety experienced by the school going children was assessed with the help of Spence Children Anxiety Scale. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. Result: The mean anxiety score of children in control group was 39.4 and the experimental group was 34.433. The p value in comparing the anxiety score of children in control and experimental group was 0.004, which was statistically significant at p<0.01 level indicating that there was significant difference in the post test level of anxiety between the control and experimental group. Conclusions: The study was concluded that play therapy was effective in reducing the anxiety among school going children.

Early detection is the first step in breast cancer prevention which targets can be done during adolescence, early detection in adolescents needs to be done through peer educators because adolescents prefer information from peers rather than parents or teachers, so that the material presented can improve BSE knowledge and attitude. This study aims to determine the effect of peer health education regarding knowledge and attitudes of BSE. The research design used a quasi-experimental study with a pre-post approach with a control group. Young women are the population in this study, with the sampling technique using purposive sampling. The sample used was 240 female teenage respondents according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection using a questionnaire with Cronbach's alpha is 0.941> 0.7 for knowledge and 0.890 (> 0.361) for attitudes. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that there was a difference between the pre-test median knowledge score was 14 and increased to 22 after the post-test with a P value of  0.000 <0.05 and the pre-test attitude median value was 17 increasing to 23 after the post-test with P Value 0.000 <0.05. Based on the research, it can be concluded that peers are very influential in increasing BSE knowledge and attitudes so that it is very important in early detection of breast cancer.

Iron deficiency anemia is a decreasing number of red blood cells in the blood caused by too little iron in the blood system, especially for the adolescents. To increase the hemoglobin levels can be done by consuming lots of foods that contain a high protein and iron. Quail eggs have a higher protein and iron content among other eggs. The purpose of this study is to determine the different effect of the consumption of quail eggs to the hemoglobin and cholesterol levels in the adolescents. This study uses true experiment with pretest-posttest design with the control group. The population is a group of girl students aged 13-15 years old who was menstruating at SMP Al Munawir Gringsing, Batang district. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The hemoglobin and cholesterol levels were measured when the respondents were menstruating on the first day and the sixth day. The intervention group was given the quail eggs for 5 days during the menstruation and the control group was only observed. The results of the dependent t test hemoglobin level p-value intervention group 0,000 and p-value control group 0,000, and cholesterol p-value intervention group 0,012 and control group p-value 0,003, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of quail eggs consumption on the hemoglobin and cholesterol levels. The results of the independent test of the difference in hemoglobin p-value 0.001 and the difference in the level of cholesterol p-value of 0.002, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the consumption of the quail eggs on the hemoglobin and cholesterol levels. It is expected that the consumption of the quail eggs for the adolescents can be given as a daily menu in order to increase the hemoglobin levels.
