Introduction, the success of treatment in chronic renal failure patients with hemodialysis required the existence of self-management and self-efficacy. Previous studies showed that self-efficacy had the influence to bring up self-management behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine patients’ self-management and self-efficacy in chronic renal failure patients who had hemodialysis at Advent’s Hospital Bandung. Methods, this study was a quantitative descriptive research.  The study samples were chosen using consecutive sampling technique. The number of samples was 75 patients. Data were collected using the SMBQ and PEPPI+Life Options DeNovo instruments. Data were analyzed using the quantitative descriptive approach with mean value and frequency distribution. The results of self-efficacy in patients with chronic renal failure with hemodialysis was   high (54.7%) and the self-management behavior was in a good category (53.3%). The conclusion of this study is that the patient has a good self-management as well as self-efficacy.  However, this study found the poor category of the partnership in caring aspect. Recommendation There is a need for a strategy to improve the self-management in the partnership in caring aspect by providing emotional support, educating patients related to treatment and care, and evaluating patients’ health development periodically.

Self efficacy is a belief held by patients with chronic kidney failure undergoing hemodialation. Compliance with hemodialysis is the behavior of patients in the form of adherence to undergo hemodialysis. Chronic kidney failure is a progressive and irreversible disruption of renal function in which the body's ability to fail to maintain metabolism and fluid and electrolyte balance, causes uremia (retention of urea and other nitrogenous wastes in the blood). This study aims to determine the relationship of self efficacy with adherence to undergo hemodialysis in patients with chronic kidney failure who undergo hemodialysis in Waled District Hospital Cirebon, 2020.  This research method uses descriptive correlational with cross sectional approach. The population was patients with chronic renal failure who underwent hemodialysis at Waled District Hospital Cirebon as many as 128 patients and the sampling technique using purposive sampling technique obtained 57 respondents. The instrument used in the form of a questionnaire sheet, and data analysis using the Spearman rank test, the significance value α = 0.05.  The results showed that self efficacy with a low category was (61.4%) and compliance underwent hemodialysis with an adherent category of (54.5%). There is a relationship between self-efficacy and compliance with hemodialysis in chronic renal failure patients undergoing hemodialysis at Waled Hospital, Cirebon Regency. Respondents with high self-efficacy have a high level of compliance with hemodialysis.

Chronic renal failure (CRF) is one of chronic diseases that can decrease the quality of life and trigger anxiety that is formed by negative thinking, including thought of death. The excessive thought of death will cause stress. This situation will have an impact on care planning, preparation for facing death and difficulties in achieving a dignified quality of death. This study aimed to identify the level of death anxiety among CRF patients undergoing haemodialysis. This study used a quantitative descriptive method involving 73 patients recruited by using a consecutive sampling technique. Data were collected by using a Death Anxiety Scale (DAS) Templer instrument that was adapted for haemodialysis patient. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean, frequency, and percentage). The results of this study showed that nearly half of the patients had moderate death anxiety (n=35), 27.4% respondents (n=20) experienced low death anxiety, and 24.7% respondents (n=18) experienced high death anxiety. Based on the results, it is necessary to manage the death anxiety of CRF patients undergoing haemodialysis. Some potential approaches may include spiritual therapy, group counselling during haemodialysis, cognitive therapy (positive perception strengthening), and health education related to haemodialysis procedures and chronic renal failure.Keyword : Chronic renal failure, death anxiety, haemodialysis. Background: Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in patients with chronic renal failure. When a patient undergoes dialysis, making AVF or AVG causes cardiovascular events. Understanding the relationship between complications: hypertension, heart failure, AVF or AVG (formation time, position, diameter) helps us monitor, detect, prevent and treatment of complications to limit the risk of death in patients with dialysis. Objective: Relationship between cardiovascular diseases and anatomosis of arteriovenous fistular in patients with regularly hemodialysis at Cho Ray Hospital. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted at Cho Ray Hospital from 2015 to 2016. The survey some cardiovascular diseases are done by clinical examination, tests for diagnostic imaging such as X-ray, electrocardiogram and echocardiogram: heart and diameter of anastomosis AVF, AVG. Results: The study population included 303 patients with chronic renal failure who were dialysis. Of which, patients aged 25-45 accounted for the highest proportion (43.9%). The proportion of male and female patients was similar (48.5% and 51.5% respectively). The mean value of systolic blood pressure on patients made AVF, AVG less than 12 months is higher than patients made AVF, AVG over 12 months, and there is negative correlation (r = -0.43) between AVF, AVG and systolic blood pressure (p <0.05). The mean value of diastolic blood pressure on patients made AVF, AVG less than 12 months is lower than patients made AVF, AVG over 12 months, and and there is positive correlation (r = -0.43) between AVF, AVG and diastolic blood pressure (p <0.05) (p <0.05). The prevalence of patients with heart failure made AVF, AVG over 12 months is higher than that of the under 12 months group, there is a negative correlation (r = - 0.43) between AVF, AVG diameter and EF index (p <0.05). Conclusion: It is important to note the diameter of anastomosis AVF, AVG in patients with chronic renal failure dialysis to limit cardiovascular complications, especially heart failure. Key words: Chronic kidney disease, hemodialysis.

This study investigated the effect of self-efficacy on self-employment intentions of recent graduates. Using the descriptive survey research design, the study population includes National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members of Ojo Local Government area of Lagos state. A sample of 130 was selected using the purposive sampling technique. The formulated hypotheses were tested using the simple linear regression and the independent sample t-test. The results showed that there was a statistically significant influence of self-efficacy on self-employment intention of Corps members of Ojo local government, Lagos state. A significant regression coefficient was found F (1.128)=29.72, p<.05), with R2 of .19. This presupposes that19.0% of the variance in self-employment intentions is as a result of the self-efficacy of recent graduates. Also, a statistically significant difference in the self-employment intentions were found between male and female corps members (tcal(128) = 2.11 is greater than ttab=1.98, p < .05). The study therefore recommended, amongst others, that institutions and the government should educate and devise a means by which they can increase the level of graduates and students’ self-efficacy which in turn will help shape their intention towards shaping career options after graduation. Similarly, effective entrepreneurship education and training for students and graduates to enhance their efficacy in performing specific tasks and roles of an entrepreneur will go a long way in boosting their self-employment intention and also aids them towards post graduate job creation ability rather than job seekers
