This research purposes is to explain gender mark lingual units whether in Arabic or English on morphology level addressed to language pronounciation. Contrastive analysis results can be used to understand Arabic gender by making english as language connections. The data taken from relevant dictionaries because it is one of written language container. The data proceed using three stages : data supply, data analysis and data analysis results supply. On analysis stage: this research using contrastive methods. This research conclusion that both languages have more diffences than similarities. Arabic has dominated by bound morpheme while English has dominated by free morpheme or lexical. Key words: Gender, Arabic, English, Contrastive.

Three computer programs, written in FORTRAN WATFIV, are developed to analyze straight, monolithically cast, symmetric concrete box beams with one, two, or three cells and side cantilevers over a simple span or over two spans with symmetric mid-span loadings. The analysis, based on Maisel's formulation, is performed in three stages. First, the structure is idealized as a beam and the normal and shear stresses are calculated using the simple bending theory and St-Venant's theory of torsion. The secondary stresses arising from torsional and distortional warping and shear lag are calculated in the second and third stages, respectively. The execution times on an AMDAHL 580 system are 0.02, 0.93, and 0.25 s for the three programs, respectively. The stresses arising in each stage of analysis are then superposed to determine the overall response of the box section to the applied loading. The results are compared with Maisel's hand calculations. Key words: bending, bimoment, box beam, computer analysis, FORTRAN, shear, shear lag, thin-walled section, torsion, torsional and distortional warping.

AbstractCultural inheritance is a small step to be able to continue to preserve culture in an area. However, technological developments are sometimes able to shift the effort of cultural inheritance. This study aims to describe the process of cultural inheritance of skills in making marble crafts through "manjing" activities. This research uses qualitative research methods through phenomenology studies. Data collection is done through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data analysis was performed using three stages namely (1) data reduction, (2) data display, and (3) conclusion drawing. Determination of the validity of the data by using research time extension and triangulation techniques. The results showed that the Manjing activities were carried out routinely. The process of inheritance is carried out by junior marble craftsmen from the effort of observing, imitating, and practicing what things are done by senior marble craftsmen. The process of cultural inheritance is focused on the creativity of making marble handicrafts. This effort has an element of learning in it, in the concept of education then this process is included in the realm of informal education.

Gender policy, i.e. the policy for ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men, is recognized as one of the priorities of the Ukrainian Government activity, which is confirmed by practical steps taken by the Ukrainian state. At the same time, in Ukraine, the manipulations around gender policy, gender terminology, legislative initiatives on protecting women’s rights and counter violence, are becoming more active and spreading. They deform the content and directions of the state activities, as well as the perception of the importance of gender transformations by society, which threatens the country's movement towards European integration. The article analyzes the logical tools that are used by adherents of anti-gender movements using the examples of theses voiced by the participants of the round table «Scientific and medical approaches to the problem of gender equality» held on November 9, 2018 by the Committee on Health Protection of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The article shows the fallacy of their conclusions and recommendations, by analysing the main inferences that can be used in activities to expose the manipulations of public consciousness and disseminate fake information as a type of organizational weapon of the hybrid war against Ukraine. Key words: gender policy, gender equality, anti-generational movements, logical mistakes, manipulation around gender policy, tools for hybrid warfare.

The study was aimed at comparing learners’ knowledge of their listening and oral interpretation problems with their teachers’ perception and knowledge of the same problems. Fifty two learners in company with their three instructors participated in the study. The study tapped the students’ reflections on cognitive, affective and linguistic factors impinging on listening and oral interpretation processes and teachers’ perception and knowledge of the same real time listening and interpretation tasks. Introspection techniques, observation and interviews were the main techniques of data collection. Data analysis revealed many congruencies between the learners and their instructors in terms of the listening experiences and perceptions. They included such themes as ‘ineffective strategy of focusing on words’, ‘speedy delivery’, ‘difficulty level of the material’, ‘accent effect’ and ‘parsing problem’. However, some discrepancies were also identified with regard to such core themes as ‘modality’ and affective issues such as ‘stress’, ‘sense of fatigue’ and ‘concentration loss’. The results suggest that instructors’ perception and awareness of their learners’ listening processing and oral translation skills coupled with those of learners can provide rich information in developing listening and oral interpretation programs for translation students and trainers.  Key words: oral interpretation, listening processing, knowledge, perception

The aim of this research was to find out the validity and reliability of a teacher-made test in SMAN 6 Bengkulu. This research was a descriptive quantitative research. The subject of this research was an English teacher-made test for eleventh grade students of SMAN 6 Bengkulu. There were 40 items of the test consist of 35 multiple choice items and 5 essay items. There were two research instruments used in this research, observation checklist and documentation. Based on the data analysis, it was found that the  percentage of the validity score was 60% or 0.60. It means that the test was valid but in the intermediate category. The r-obtained for reliability test was 0.62 and it was considered to be reliable but was in the intermediate level of reliability.  From the research finding, it can be concluded that the test was valid and reliable but both were in the intermediate category.
