La ciudad en el cine es un ámbito de investigación que propone analizar la imagen mostrada por los cineastas sobre las diferentes urbes a nivel mundial. París representa uno de los lugares estelares para el rodaje de películas. Además, es importante destacar su vinculación con el nacimiento y la maduración del séptimo arte y con el desarrollo de movimientos artísticos ligados a él. En este artículo nos sumergimos en el estudio de la película Paris (2008) de Cédric Klapisch, poniendo nuestra atención en las localizaciones elegidas por el autor para desarrollar sus historias y tratando de indagar en los motivos que le han llevado a elegir unos u otros emplazamientos con los diferentes iconos parisinos. Además, estudiamos el carácter simbólico de los diversos lugares y emblemas y su influencia en el relato fílmico. En definitiva, intentamos desgranar la visión que el propio autor tiene de la metrópolis y la manera en que se la traslada al público.Abstract: The city on cinema is an investigation area which proposes the analysis of the image shown by filmmakers about many cities worldwide. Paris represents one of the star places of film shooting. It is important too to highlight its connection with the origin and the growth of the seventh art and with the development of artistic movements linked to it. In this paper we dive into studying the film Paris (2008) by Cédric Klapisch, aiming our attention into the different places chosen by the author in order to develop its stories and trying to inquire the reason behind the selection of those sites with the parisian icons. Moreover, we study the symbolic character of the different places and emblems and their influence in the filmic narration. In short, we try to approach to the vision that the author has from the metropolis and the way he gives it to the public. Essa proposta de trabalho visa refletir acerca de questões educacionais em paralelo com a práxis social. Mais especificamente, a ideia é discutir as características e implicações da realidade e prática social dos alunos da escola pública levando em consideração anseios contemporâneos pautados no tema. Os dados analisados foram coletados em uma escola pública situada na cidade de Maringá-PR, no ano de 2009, durante o estágio curricular supervisionado obrigatório de observação – tanto do entorno escolar quanto das aulas. Com enfoque nesse aspecto mais social das práticas educacionais escolares, o principal arcabouço teórico para análise dos dados é aquele oferecido por István Mészáros no livro A educação para além do capital (2008).  Os resultados, não-conclusivos, apontam para um cenário alarmante: se na esfera privada já há tempos a educação se tornou uma mercadoria e os alunos meros clientes, a esfera pública tem sido redirecionada para caminhos análogos, em diversos sentidos.   PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Relato de experiência. Marx. Escola pública.     ABSTRACT This article aims at reflecting upon some educational issues drawn in parallel with social praxis. More specifically, the idea is to discuss aspects and implications of students’ social reality and practice in state schools taking into account contemporary anxieties on the matter. The data analysed has been collected in the city of Maringa-PR, during 2009, as part of my compulsory undergraduate supervised teaching practice took place – regarding the observation of school surroundings as well as of the classes themselves. Focusing on this social aspect of educational school practice, the main theoretical framework for data analysis is brought by István Mészáros in Education beyond Capital (2005). The non-conclusive results pinpoint an alarming scenery: if in the private sector education has for long been turned into a commodity and students into mere clients, the public one has been gradually redirected to analogous paths, in many ways.   KEYWORDS: Experience report. Marx. State school.     RESUMEN Esta propuesta de trabajo tiene como objetivo reflexionar sobre cuestiones educativas en paralelo con la praxis social. Más específicamente, la idea es discutir las características e implicaciones de la realidad y la práctica social de los estudiantes de escuelas públicas, teniendo en cuenta las preocupaciones contemporáneas basadas en el tema. Los datos analizados se recopilaron en una escuela pública ubicada en la ciudad de Maringá-PR, en 2009, durante la pasantía curricular supervisada obligatoria de observación, tanto en el entorno escolar como en las clases. Con un enfoque en este aspecto más social de las prácticas educativas escolares, el principal marco teórico para el análisis de datos es el que ofrece István Mészáros en el libro Educación más allá del capital (2008). Los resultados no concluyentes apuntan a un escenario alarmante: si en el ámbito privado la educación se ha convertido desde hace mucho tiempo en una mercancía y los estudiantes son meros clientes, el ámbito público se ha redirigido a caminos análogos, de varias maneras.   PALABRAS CLAVE: Informe de experiencia. This chapter discusses one of the best-known instances of classical commemoration: the public funeral and collective burial and commemoration of the Athenian war dead. Its particular aim is to explore the various contexts in which Athenian practice might be understood. How do these monuments fit into the wider picture of Athenian burial and commemoration, in terms of both form and physical location? How do they relate to the political system and ideology of the city that created them? And how might these contexts shape the way in which the monuments were used and understood by contemporary and later viewers?

Daugavpils historically was the place where different ethnic groups are living together, interacting on the public spaces. The mixture of cultures is represented in the city landscape - home to every inhabitant, still having differents accents, figures and symbolical meanings. The following paper is based on the semiotic analysis of the pictures made by the pupils of different (ethnic) schools of Daugavpils, in order to understand what and how cildren "see" their city - what are the signs they use to construct the message about their city together and what do they mean - how different is a pictorial message. To do the analysis collection of the children drawings was made for an exhibition in the hall of the city munipality of Daugavpils - a material for our research. The findings show that besides of expected reference to different cultural traditions and some aestetical preferences, no difference exists between the way children represent their city. Diversity of cultural footprints in the landscape of the city and the pride for their city is present in the works of children coming from different ethnic, linguistic and cultural environments.

AbstractHaving been inspired by the leaflet, ‘Natuursteen in Maastricht. Aardrijkskunde in een oude stad’, written by P.J. Felder and published in 1977, we here present descriptions of the main types of natural stones applied in the city of Maastricht. A concise overview of the provenance area, mineralogy and physical properties of a selection of so-called historical building stones used in Maastricht, from Roman times onwards, is given. On a walk, starting at the Natuurhistorisch Museum Maastricht and ending at the Vrijthof, the main square of the city of Maastricht, details of building stones seen on the way are highlighted.

Se muestra una propuesta práctica de gymkhana denominada «Granada contada por personajes de cuentos» en el que se hace un recorrido por los monumentos históricos de la Ciudad de Granada, concretamente, llevándolos a cabo en el barrio del Albaicín por medio de cuentos y novelas populares. El número de participantes a los que va dirigida es de 100 alumnos entre segundo curso y sexto de primaria, los cuales se distribuirán en grupos mixtos de manera que lo conformen sujetos de distintas edades y clases. Se promueve a través de esta actividad el fomento no solo de los aspectos conceptuales sino de aquellos actitudinales que construyen la forma de ser y actuar del niño. Además, se caracteriza por un trabajo interdisciplinar entre todas las áreas que hace que se consiga una educación integral. Es por ello, que nuestra propuesta trata de transmitir valores, fomentar la cooperación y el compañerismo. Palabras clave: gymkhana; valores; educación; interdisciplinariedad y centro educativo.Abstract: In this article it is shown a practical proposal of gymkhana called «Granada told by tale characters», in which we propose a tour around the historical monuments of the city of Granada. Concretely, this tour will be carried out in the Albaicín Quarter using traditional tales. The total number of participants is around 100 students between the second and the sixth year of primary school. The students will be mixed in order to create groups from differents ages and classes. This activity promotes the capacity-buildings of the conceptuals and attitudinal aspects to improve the way of being and acting of the child. It is also an interdisciplinary work between all areas whose objetive is to achieve an integral education. For that reason our gymkhana is more than a gymkhana, more than an activity, is a way to transmit values, positive attitudes, a way to encourage cooperation and fellowship.Key words: gymkhana; values; education; interdisciplinary and school.

O texto aborda a cidade de Palmas, a última capital brasileira construída no século XX, com sua divisão sócio-espacial explícita. Estruturado em três partes, o trabalho procura entender o papel da violência primeiramente no tocante ao projeto urbanístico de 1989, enfocando a contradição entre discurso e prática; em segundo lugar, o processo de produção da cidade planejada pelo poder público e toda uma sorte de ações, muitas vezes truculentas, visando a construção do projeto; e, em terceiro lugar, a relativa autonomia do mercado imobiliário frente às características do plano original. Num prisma teórico analítico da arquitetura e do urbanismo, o texto versa aspectos históricos da criação da cidade e a violência do processo de espacialização.   PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Palmas; violência; projeto urbanístico; cenarização; mercado imobiliário.   ABSTRACT The text is about the city of Palmas, the last Brazilian capital built in the 20th century with its explicit social-spatial division. This work, structured into three parts, intends to comprehend the role of the violence in relation to the city’s urbanistic plannig from 1989, trying to focus the contradiction between speech and practice; the second part focuses on the planned city process of production managed by the public power and all the whole sort of actions, sometimes in a savage way, aiming at the construction of the project; and, finally, the relative autonomy of the real estate market towards to the features of the original plan. A História Pública tem apresentado um esforço de construção de uma história com maior participação de seus públicos, desde seu entendimento como plateia, ao seu papel de sujeitos históricos. Utilizando a História oral como fundamento teórico-metodológico, este trabalho busca analisar a construção da memória dos descendentes dos Caboclos de Guarany no início do século XXI e a forma como representam seu passado ancestral e seu direito à terra, atribuindo sentidos ao passado e ao presente. Dessa maneira, a memória desses descendentes representa uma resistência ao interminável processo de expropriação e, principalmente, ao esquecimento produzido pela sociedade, em processo de compartilhamento de autoridade sobre o que se produziu entre depoentes e pesquisador.   PALAVRAS-CHAVE: História Pública, Memória, Esquecimento, Identidades.     ABSTRACT The Public History has shown an effort to build a history with greater participation of its public, since its understanding as an audience to its role as historical subjects. Using oral history as a theoretical-methodological foundation, this paper aims to the construction of the Caboclos of Guarany descendants' memory in the beginning of  the 21st century and the way they represent their ancestral past and their right to the land, assigning meanings to past and present. In this way, the memory of these descendants represents a resistance to the endless process of expropriation and, mainly, to the oblivion produced by society, in process of sharing authority over what took place between deponents and researcher.   KEYWORDS: Public History, Memory, Oblivion, Identities.     RESUMEN La historia pública ha demostrado esfuerzo para  la construcción de una historia con una mayor participación de su público, desde su comprensión como audiencia, a su papel como sujetos históricos. Utilizando la historia oral como fundamento teórico y metodológico, este trabajo analiza la construcción de la memoria de los descendientes de los Caboclos de Guarany a principios del siglo XXI y cómo representan su pasado ancestral y su derecho a la tierra, dando sentido al pasado y al presente. Apakah langkah-langkah dan sepak terjang tim Komisi Pemilihan Umum Kota Samarinda telah melaksanakan edukasi dan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat tentang urgensi kesadaran memilih pemimpin pusat dan daerah yang amanah untuk 5 tahun ke depan. Baik melalui media konvensional ataupun media sosial yang marak saat ini dipergunakan oleh pemuda di kota Samarinda, karena tidak dipungkiri bahwa jumlah pemilih pemula memiliki kuota yang tidak sedikit. Selain itu membahas pula bagaimana komunikasi partisipasi politik masyarakat Kota Samarinda dalam mengikuti dan memeriahkan Pemilu 2019 ini.  Partisipasi politik adalah mengambil bagian atau mengambil peranan dalam aktivitas atau kegiatan politik negara. Dalam penentuan pemilihan informan dapat menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling.Teknik purposive sampling adalah menentukan sampel dengan pertimbangan tertentu yang dapat memberikan data secara maksimal serta subjek/objek sesuai tujuan. KPU Kota Samarinda bisa dikatakan, dapat dipercaya dan memiliki daya tarik, maka diharapkan sebagai sumber/komunikator dapat mengenali dengan baik dan memiliki pengetahuan akan komunikan yang dihadapinya dalam kegiatan sosialisasi yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi politik pada Pemilu 2019. Este trabalho tem como objetivo identificar e analisar de que maneira as políticas públicas permeiam o cotidiano dos ribeirinhos da Comunidade Menino Deus, bem como, indicar a relação existente entre ela e o modo de vida desses sujeitos. Desse modo, verificamos que as políticas públicas aplicadas nessa Comunidade são desarticuladas uma das outras, onde os órgãos responsáveis, não planejam e nem formulam suas ações de forma conjunta, muito menos garantem a participação desses sujeitos nos processos de elaboração e decisões das políticas públicas. Portanto, a análise desse processo deu-se por meio de observações realizadas na referida Comunidade, onde foi possível apreender os reflexos de tais políticas no modo de vida. Utilizou-se de aplicação de questionários e entrevistas com os moradores de Menino Deus, bem como, alguns instrumentos de pesquisa como fotos do espaço estudado e, posteriormente, a análise dos dados que são apresentados no corpo deste trabalho, facilitando o entendimento e a interpretação dos resultados. Palavras-chave: Políticas Públicas; Modo de Vida Ribeirinho; Comunidade.   THE PUBLIC POLITICIES AND THEIR REFLEXES IN THE WAY OF LIFE OF THE RIVERSIDE DWELLERS IN THE MENINO DEUS COMMUNITY IN PORTEL (PA) Abstract The aim of this work is to identify and analyze how these public politicies permeat the daily lives of the Riverside dwellers from the Menino Deus Community, as well as explain the relationship that exixts between it and the way of living of those people. Even though, we have noticed  that the public politicies that were applied in that Community are disjointed fron the others, where the responsible bodies don’t plan, nor formulate their actions jointly and much less guarantee the participation of those individuals in the process of elaborations and decisions of the public politicies. Therefore, the analysis of that process was through observations made in the referred Community, where it was possible to learn the reflexes of such politicies in their way of living. It was used the application of a questionnaire and interviews with Menino Deus’ residentes, as well as, some research tools as pictures of the studied space and subsequentlyr, the analysis of the data that are presented in the body of this work, facilitates the understanding and the interpretation of the results. Word-keys: Public Politicies; Riverside dwellers; Way of Life; Community.   LAS POLITICAS PUBLICAS Y SUS REPERCUSION EN EL MODO DE VIDA RIBEREÑOS EN LA COMUNIDAD MENINO DEUS EM PORTEL (PA) Resumen Este trabajo tiene como objetivo identificar y analizar de qué manera las políticas públicas permean lo cotidiano de los ribereños de la Comunidad Menino Deus, bien como indicar la relación existente entre ella y el modo de vida de los comunarios. De ese modo, se verifico que las políticas públicas aplicadas en esa comunidad son desarticuladas unas con las otras donde los órganos responsables no planean ni formulan sus acciones de forma conjunta y mucho menos garanten la participación de los comunarios en los procesos de elaboración y decisiones de las políticas públicas. Por tanto, el análisis de ese proceso se dio por medio de observaciones realizadas en la mencionada comunidad, donde fue posible aprender los reflejos de tales políticas en el modo de vida. Se utilizaron aplicaciones de entrevistas con los moradores de Menino Deus, así como algunos instrumentos de investigación como fotos del espacio estudiado, y posteriormente el análisis de los datos que son presentados en el cuerpo de este trabajo, facilitando el entendimiento y la interpretación de los resultados.  Palabras clave: Políticas Públicas, Modo de Vida Ribereño, Comunidad.

Victorian attitudes to drinking reflected a series of double standards. This chapter looks at the way in which gendered attitudes to drink shaped the relationship of women to the public house – as workers and as customers. It focuses on the way in which the layout of pubs was manipulated in order to shape behaviour on and off the premises. It also considers the importance of age, and restrictions on child messengers who were sent to pubs to buy beer. By considering the movement of drink in this way, it argues that licensing was taken outside of the public house and into the city: the licensed city of the book’s title.
