Abstract Fear is a social phenomenon that develops in people facing a crisis, such as a pandemic. For instance, the entire world is currently exposed to Covid-19 pandemic, causing great fear. In the Bible, Jesus’ disciples were terrified of sinking in their boat during a storm. Although these two scenarios are different, the response is the same. Fear produces stress and anxiety disorders when not appropriately managed. This paper examines the causes of fear and how they can be addressed. Specifically, the study involves determining the cause of fear and proposing a strategy based on Hope, as described by Erich in the book Revolution of Hope which positively correlates with building fortitude and endurance. Surrendering or persisting is a dialectical choice, though theology fear does not give chances. Instead, Humans only survive by depending on God. This research was involved literature reviews by utilizing reference sources, including books, journal articles, and other scientific content.

Abstract: Education is a process of activities carried out to live a good life and can also be said to be an activity of honing human resources (human resources) to gain expertise in the social field and the development of a good person to make a strong interpersonal relationship with the cultural environment of the surrounding community. . (Idris, 1987). On that basis, why education cannot be far from the culture or culture of a place it occupies, as the goal of education so far, namely, to hone taste, initiative and work. The achievement of these educational goals depends on how the culture is conveyed in the classroom, so this is where the role of multicultural education will become an intermediary for the development of human resources who have strong and good characters. This study aims to describe several things, namely as follows: (1) Culture-based learning, (2) Application of Cultural Learning to children in schools, and (3) Impact of implementing cultural curricula on children's characters. The approach in writing this paper uses literature analysis with literature reviews and data is collected through systematic search of scientific literature on journal articles and documents that discuss significantly and are related to the theme of this research. The data that I get will be processed or analyzed descriptively, interpretatively and comparatively.

When considering the growing interest in the ideas of internationalisation and globalisation, the phrase ‘Japanese Design’ has always captured the inspirational pulse of designers. This paradoxical world of Japan provides the impetus for vast and varied design outcomes. These outcomes range from the traditional design of tearooms, to the youth fashion phenomena in Harajuku. Design in Japan demonstrates a controlled approach to the subtle nuances that express the design spectrum between excess and austerity. This paper explores the idea of the intricacy of Japanese design as not only being a clear expression of their masterful handling of material and form, but also a demonstration of the amalgamation of cultural paradigms displayed in these various design outcomes. This is no more clearly expressed than in the examination of details used within Japanese design, in particular, the details in traditional Japanese architecture. The methodology involved with this research is mainly focussed on literature reviews of text and journal articles, as well as, review of appropriate exhibitions. But the original journey began years ago with my own education and exposure to the ideas of Japanese design and architecture. Numerous travel tours and design tours to Japan helped to reinforce the connection and unfold their paradoxical world.

The entire world is being attacked by a pandemic outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) or what we know as COVID-19. The Indonesian government policy of limiting the crowd of people when socializing affects various activities of young people at church, including in North Sumatera. This causes the psychological well-being (PWB) of the youth to be disturbed. Research shows Christian youths carry out activities such as wasting time on social media and online games that may lead to gambling (Jap et al., 2013) while neglecting their education, which is contrary to Christian teachings. Constantly pressured for neglecting responsibility and doing sins may affect PWB in youth, and forgiveness from God, their family and themselves may help increase PWB. Pre and post-test of PWB and forgiveness are administered. The instrument used is the PWB questionnaire based on Ryff's (1995) theory and TRIM-18 based on McCullough and Hoyt (2002). The subjects are adolescents and young adults aged 11-40 years in North Sumatera. Results show that both variables are high. There were differences based on participants’ educational background and whether or not the participants read the bible everyday in the PWB post-test data. As for the forgiveness, results show that there were differences based on educational background and occupation in the pre-test data, while in the post-test data, there is a difference based on how many times an individual reads the bible in a day.

Science for all indicates that science should be accessible to all learners including deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) students, but they tend to struggle with developing abstract concepts of science optimally. Science, Technology, and Society (STS) approach is an interdisciplinary approach to science learning which is integrating science with technology and society aspects. Through STS approach, students become more interested in learning abstract concepts of science because they can apply the concepts throughout their daily living. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether DHH students improve their achievement levels of science specifically in the aspects of cognitive and affective via STS approach. A total of five journal articles from 2008-2016 written in English on the topic of science learning using STS approach were reviewed. This literature was collected via ERIC database. Then they were analyzed and interpreted in accordance with the objectives of the study. Based on the literature reviews, students experiencing STS instruction improve their achievements according to five STS domains in science learning. Due to learning via STS approach, students not only memorize the science concepts, but also enable to analyze scientific information as well as to apply it in their real-life situations, and set them on a path of life-long learning in science.

Keywords: Achievements, Science Learning, Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing, STS Approach.

The Bible records many texts dealing with the subject of healing the body. This study uses a literature approach by digging sources from journal articles and books and then analyzing them using the Bible to produce in-depth and comprehensive theological conclusions. The conclusion of this study shows that healing of the body can occur through natural healing, medical healing, and divine healing miracles or miracles. The implication is theological; Christians may believe that miracle healing still exists and can pray to God so that healing that comes from Him can be experienced now. And the practical implication is that Christians must still be responsible for taking care of their bodies' health proportionally because their bodies are the temple of God.

The emergence of the Internet, the generalized access to online databases and top journal presence in these databases generated a shift in how literature reviews are to be performed. While fifteen-twenty years ago, researchers in social sciences would focus their efforts in finding journal articles to analyze and they would read and use some dozens of articles in their research, nowadays efforts fall upon selecting the right set of articles, reading and synthesizing in such ways that helicopter and detailed views are combined. There is a generational gap between senior and junior researchers, which so far has turned difficult the development of a methodological perspetive of literature reviews in social sciences that bring together both perspetives. Our paper develops a methodology for literature reviews in social sciences, combining the systematic literature review approach, proposed and applied by several authors in management field (Kofinas & Saur-Amaral, 2008; I. Saur-Amaral & Amaral, 2010; Irina Saur-Amaral & Borges Gouveia, 2007; Thorpe, Holt, Macpherson, & Pittaway, 2005; Tranfield, Denyer, & Smart, 2003; Tranfield & Mouchel, 2002), with the traditional literature review approach (Cook & Leviton, 1980; Hart, 2006; Webster & Watson, 2002). We present compare perspetives, analyzing them from a critical perspetive and we propose a combined approach to be tested and used for research in social sciences, indicating key validity concerns to be taken into account. Results are useful for senior and junior researchers in social sciences, which undertake literature reviews for their own or for group research.

Of the instructions about statistics given to authors, compliance in the Canadian Journal of Soil Science is lowest in providing a measure of variability when reporting quantitative data. The standard error is the most useful of these measures. The coefficient of variation, standard deviation or range is sometimes appropriate alternatives. The least significant difference (LSD) is sometimes used in this role, but authors are then tempted, incorrectly, to omit it when differences are not statistically significant. The LSD can be replaced by the standard error and the rule of thumb that the LSD is approximately three standard errors. Tables of means are easier to read when rows and columns are ordered so the most important variable is in the leftmost column, trends are evident and data relating to comparisons of greatest interest are close together. Tables of correlation coefficients can also be sorted to highlight relationships among the variables. In future, some readers may demand more statistical detail so that statistical methods can be used in literature reviews. Electronic publishing may allow this demand to be met without compromising good communication. Key words: Data presentation, measures of variation, table layout
