If we try to draw conclusions about events, analyse data or results (in one or a certain area) and clarify our unknown points in standard or non-standard ways, this leads to the transfer of experience from one area to another. How do we want to follow guidelines, while the most of the obligatory laws are not followed, for example? The aim of prescriptions or recommendations in medicine, for example, (or the laws of a country that do not usually apply to particular classes or castes, as well as business rules) is to give guidance on how it would be appropriate to help people or ourselves (as we have already mentioned) and the people themselves. Unfortunately, this behaviour is also characteristic of developed societies that dictate the rules and try to help ... to people, as well. If we come deeper into the system of mutual aid in medicine, it is unfortunate that sometimes the condition of this kind of ʺecosystemʺ (or any of the ecosystems described) is worse than the best tragic-comedy. Unfortunately, the "ecosystem of medicine" is also subordinate and slaves somehow to the stronger "ecosystems" as politics and business and is dependent on them, but for evil or good, these ecosystems have glimpsed at times, no matter what are the motives, which provoke them! And they are most often ... once again personal. Although in a number of Eastern European countries, it was unthinkable to even undesirable until recently, that dermasurgery and dermatooncology to be part of modern dermatological societies, the insatiable thirst for growth of young specialists, as well as the impact of Western schools, on their formation as a kind of new hope proved to be stronger in the formation of dermatosurgery, not only all over the world, but also in particular in the Balkans and Bulgaria. These units are gradually being introduced as an indispensable part of any modern clinic, and this part guarantees the best results (in patients with dermatosurgical or dermatooncological needs). The globalisation of dermatology and dermatological science has led to the introduction and involvement of additional auxiliary units, based on a more global concept of the interdisciplinary concept that encompasses psycho-neuroendocrine dermatology which provides a good explanation for some unexplained diseases, such as vitiligo, for example.

Apollonius Rhodius’ Argonautica is a voyage across time as well as space. The Argonauts encounter monsters, nymphs, shepherds, and kings who represent earlier stages of the cosmos or human society; they are given glimpses into the future, and themselves effect changes in the world through which they travel. Readers undergo a still more complex form of temporal transport, enabled not just to imagine themselves into the deep past, but to examine the layers of poetic and intellectual history from which Apollonius crafts his poem. Taking its lead from ancient critical preoccupations with poetry’s ethical significance, this book argues that the Argonautica produces an understanding of time and temporal experience which ramifies variously in readers’ lives. When describing the people and creatures who occupied the past, Apollonius extends readers’ capacity for empathetic response to the worlds inhabited by others. In the ecphrasis of Jason’s cloak and the account of Jason’s conversations with Medea, readers are invited to scrutinize the relationship between exempla and temporal change, while climactic episodes such as Jason’s battle with the Earthborn and the taking of the Golden Fleece explore links between perceptions and their temporal situation. Running through the poem, and through the readings that comprise this book, is an attention to the intellectual potential of the ‘untimely’, objects, experience, and language which do not belong straightforwardly to a particular time. Treatment of such phenomena is crucial to the poem’s aspiration to inform and expand readers’ understanding of themselves as subjects in and of history.

AbstractBioethics, as a discipline, has developed mainly, but not exclusively, around themes of moral importance for the medical practice, such as abortion and euthanasia, a never ending discussion that has been shaped by social mores and influenced by scientific and technological advance. However, in the past 20 years an important shift has been taking place, one where bioethical issues and their discussion are starting to being driven by the so-called emerging biotechnologies, from cloning to genome sequencing and editing. If Bioethics is concerned with human beings, and their interaction with other living beings and the environment, it makes sense for Biotechnology, by definition the use of living systems or organisms to develop products, to become an important, if not the most important, source of bioethical conflicts in modern era and for future society. As Biotechnology keeps expanding and becomes entangled in everyday life, so does the need for ethical competent biotechnologists, with competencies built not only on ethical principles but also on a realistic grasp of the impact these technologies could have on human society and the world we inhabit.

Traditions are strong beliefs which legitimate a social system and a culture. Though it would seem that traditions would invariably hinder creative social change, this is not so. A potential agent of change must understand well and respect the traditions of the people among whom he works, but he need not be paralyzed by them. Some traditions contain within themselves a justification for change. Some can be mobilized for development, some are merely irrelevant, some are inimical to change but can be attacked easily, others are inimical to change but must be handled very carefully.
