The selection of the marketing communication domain plays a major role in promoting products and services. The most common problem in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is its funding system. This study aimed to know the integrated communication marketing used in food processing MSME in Pontianak City. This study was involving 100 participants chosen based on the purposive sampling technique. The analysis method used was descriptive and qualitative analysis. Through a descriptive analysis, the variable studied was described. While, the qualitative analysis applied in assessing the data sources, data reduction, and deducting conclusions or verifications. The result showed that integrated communication marketing that consisted of media advertising, sales promotion, and direct marketing are highly contributed to the food processed sales performance in Pontianak City.

Marketing communications show a favorable impact on all aspects of the company’s activities. They play an essential role in shaping the final economic results. The purpose of the research is to study the effects of elements for marketing communication mix on the business results of selected small and medium enterprises in Stara Zagora district, Bulgaria. The collection of primary data has been developed and disseminated to the owners/managers of SME’s survey. The research uses a descriptive and casual research approach to identify the impact of individual communication elements - advertising, sales promotion, and direct marketing on some financial parameters, such as the profit, sales, and profitability of the companies. The result shows statistical significance between advertising, sales promotion, and financial indicators: profit and net sales revenue. Recommendations were made to the SME managers regarding the use of promotional activities, using communication channels to inform and keep up to date customers, the effectiveness of the types of media, and more.

<p class="abstract-header"><em>As Indonesia's original cultural heritage, Hand-Written Batik is one of the featured products for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Central Java. However, the printed batik industry's presence impacted the decline in the market share of hand-written batik. The entrepreneurial climate and entrepreneurial competence are factors that are believed to increase the competitiveness of hand-written batik.</em><em> </em><em>This study aims to determine and explain the effect of entrepreneurial climate on business performance with entrepreneurial competence as an intervening variable. This research is explanatory research with a quantitative approach and involves as many as 138 MSMES owners at the center of Hand-Written Batik in Bayat District, Klaten Regency as respondents. Withdrawal of samples using the Slovin formula with a confidence level of 95 percent. The sampling technique uses proportional random sampling, and data collection is done by distributing questionnaires to respondents. Data analysis using descriptive analysis and path analysis were processed using SPSS software. The results show that the entrepreneurial climate has a positive and significant influence on entrepreneurial competence, the entrepreneurial climate has a positive and significant effect on business performance, entrepreneurial competence has a positive and significant effect on business performance, and entrepreneurial competence is proven to be able to mediate the relationship between entrepreneurial climate and business performance. This means that the better the entrepreneurial climate in an MSMEs industrial center will impact MSMEs' performance if, at the same time, MSMEs owners have good entrepreneurial competence.</em></p><p class="abstrak"><em>Keywords: business performance, entrepreneurial climate, entrepreneurial competence, MSMEs</em></p>

The development of Baitul Mal wa Tamwil (BMT) in Jambi Province in recent years is quite dynamic. Some are well developed, while some others are not. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance, appeal and customers’ decision on BMT in Jambi Province. The method used was descriptive analysis. The population of this research was 5616 customers from 33 BMT. Sampling technique used was quota sampling as many as 171 samples from 9 BMT. The result obtained from the average value of all the answers on capital variable is 3.65, which means that the variable of sharia capital is in good category. Appeal variable average value is at 4.01, which means good. Customers’ decision variable is also in good category, with an average value of 3.95. This shows that the presence of BMT is generally accepted by the public and potential to develop well, especially in the segment of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). *** Perkembangan Baitul Mal wa Tamwil (BMT) di Provinsi Jambi dalam beberapa tahun terakhir cukup dinamis, ada yang yang berkembang dengan baik namun ada juga yang sulit berkembang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menge¬tahui bagaimana kinerja, daya tarik dan keputusan nasabah pada BMT di Provinsi Jambi. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Jumlah populasi sebanyak 5616 nasabah dari 33 BMT, teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan kuota sampling sebanyak 171 sampel dari 9 BMT. Hasil yang diperoleh dari nilai rata-rata semua jawaban pada variabel permodalan adalah sebesar 3.65, yang berarti variabel permodalan syari’ah termasuk pada kategori baik, begitu juga pada variabel daya tarik, nilai rata-ratanya berada pada 4.01 yang berarti baik, dan variabel keputusan nasabah juga berada pada kategori baik dengan nilai rata-rata 3.95. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa keberadaan BMT secara umum diterima dengan baik oleh masyarakat dan berpotensi untuk berkembang baik terutama di segmen Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM).

For the sake of promoting and inviting tourist to tourist resort, there are some factors that should be considered as value added. One of them is spesific foods as part of local culture characteristic. Promotional activities is an important role to introduce and cultivate the interest of tourists in a souvenir typical regional foods. The aims of the study were to analyze the level of promotion mix consists of advertising, sales promotion, direct marketing, personal selling, and public relations, and to find out the level of consumer buying interest, and finally investigate the influence of promotional mix on consumer purchase intention of the tourists. The sample in this study were 100 tourists. The method used were combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis. The data was purposively taken using quantitative analysis. Quantitative analysis, that is, descriptive analysis  was performed with the interpretation of the data obtained in the study and the results of data processing that had been carried out by providing information and explanations. The results showed that advertising, personal selling, and public relations are in good criteria. While sales promotion and direct marketing are in medium criteria. Abstract Changes in economic order in the new normal era have an impact on the marketing and managerial aspects of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Many MSMEs have not yet used digital marketing so that they experienced a significant decline in sales and have not been able to overcome managerial problems. This research method is designed as a survey research with a descriptive approach using narrative analysis tools. The population in this study are MSMEs in West Java selected through cluster random sampling technique. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the managerial aspect has a recapitulation value of the respondents of 1706 (important) and the marketing aspect of 3005 (very important). Manual marketing aspects will be offset by business digitization. Meanwhile, improvements in managerial aspects from the perspective of strengthening human resources and financial records need to be seriously taken by MSMEs actors since both aspects have a significant impact on the sustainability of MSMEs businesses.

Fairmont Hotel Jakarta has the unstable occupancy from month to month, started from January to December 2016. The objective of this research is to know the impact of marketing communication in attracting customer at Fairmont Hotel Jakarta. This research used associative casual. Population are all the guests who stayed in Fairmont Hotel Jakarta in the year of 2016. The sampling technique is non-probability sampling, and used incidental sample. The number of sample in this research is 120 respondents. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires with Likert scale.  The statements in the questionnaires were tested of their validity and reliability.  The data was analysed by using SPSS 19.0. The study found that marketing communication that consisted of advertising, sales promotion, public relation, personal selling and direct marketing impacted to attract customers 22,9%.

Abstract - Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are business activities that support economic growth and enhance Indonesia's economy. Garut Regency is one of the areas known for culinary, handicraft, tourism and household processed products in the District of Samarang, there are traditional food processing products. The purpose of this study is to find out what factors are driving the performance of SMEs in the wajit industry in Samarang district. The method used is descriptive analysis and exploratory factor analysis. Data collection techniques used were library studies and field studies. The sampling method used in this study is a nonprobability sampling technique that is saturated samples of 45 respondents. Factors that drive the performance of SMEs 24 factors that are examined by the reduction process there are only 10 factors that can be used as new factors, after extraction and rotation, which have a correlation value of only three components that are formed correctly. Wajit industry players should be able to implement the factors that drive these performance in order to survive and thrive in improving the economy and introduce Sundanese traditional food, one of which is wajit. Abstrak– Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM) adalah kegitan usaha yang menunjang pertumbuhan ekonomi dan meningkatkan perekonomiaan Indonesia. Kabupaten Garut merupakan salah satu daerah yang dikenal karena kuliner, kerajinan, parawisata dan produk olahan rumah tangga di Kecamatan Samarang terdapat produk olahanan makanan tradisonal. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui fakto-faktor apa yang mendorong kinerja UKM pada industri wajit di kecamatan Samarang. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis faktor eksploratori. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dan studi lapangan. Penarikan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik nonprobability sampling yaitu sampel jenuh sebanyak 45 responden. Faktor-faktor yang mendorong kinerja UKM 24 faktor yang diteliti dengan proses reduksi maka hanya terdapat 10 faktor yang dapat dijadikan faktor baru, setelah melakukan proses extraction dan rotation, yang memiliki nilai korelasi hanya terdapat tiga component yang terbentuk dengan tepat. Para pelaku industry wajit sebaiknya dapat mengimplementasikan faktor-faktor yang mendorong kinerja tersebut agar bertahan dan berkembang dalam meningkatkan perekonomian dan memperkenalkan makan tradisional khas sunda yaitu salah satunya wajit.

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis lebih lanjut penerapan Integrated Marketing Communication pada Festival Seni Rupa Kontemporer Internasional ARTJOG MMXIX yang diselenggarakan oleh Heri Pemad Management (selanjutnya disingkat HPM). Manfaat penelitian ini adalah memberikan kontribusi pemikiran bagi pengembangan pengelolaan manajemen seni dalam keberhasilannya meraih pasar. Untuk menjawab pokok masalah dalam penelitian ini, peneliti mengacu pada konsep komunikasi pemasaran terpadu model George dan Michael Belch (2011) yang meliputi advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, direct marketing, Public Relations and Publicity serta interactive marketing melalui tiga tahapan proses, yaitu perencanaan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Penelitian dijalankan secara kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Pengumpulan data terbagi dua yaitu data primer melalui wawancara dan observasi; serta data sekunder melalui studi pustaka. Key informan dan informan yang dipilih berasal dari internal HPM dan pengunjung Festival ARTJOG MMXIX. Penelitian ini mampu menjelaskan bahwa HPM telah mengimplementasikan Integrated Marketing Communication melalui tahap perencanaan yang dimulai dari targeting, positioning, penetapan tujuan dan anggaran. Tahap implementasi, dilakukan perancangan pesan, pemilihan media, dan penerapan bauran komunikasi. Tahap evaluasi, dilakukan analisis untuk mengukur hasil akhir dari implementasi bauran IMC sekaligus mengambil tindakan korektif dalam penyelenggaraan festival tersebut. Kesimpulannya, HPM telah berhasil menerapkan konsep komunikasi pemasaran terpadu pada penyelenggaraan Festival Seni Rupa Kontemporer Internasional ARTJOG MMXIX. ABSTRACTThis research aims to further analyze the implementation of Integrated Marketing Communication at the International Contemporary Arts Festival of ARTJOG MMXIX organized by Heri Pemad Management (hereinafter abbreviated as HPM). The benefit of this research is to contribute to thinking for the development of art management in the success of achieving the market. To address the subject matter of this study, researchers refer to the concept of Integrated Marketing Communication George and Michael Belch (2011) model’s which include advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, direct marketing, Public Relations and Publicity and interactive marketing through three stages of the process, planning, implementation and evaluation. Research is conducted qualitatively with case study methods. Two data collection is the primary data through interviews and observations; and secondary data through library studies. Key informant and informant are selected from the internal HPM and visitors Festival ARTJOG MMXIX. The research can explain that HPM has implemented Integrated Marketing Communication through the planning phase starting from targeting, positioning, goal setting and budget. Implementation stage, message design, media selection and communication mix application. Evaluation stage analyzed to measure the outcome of the implementation of IMC mix and take corrective action in the implementation of the festival. In conclusion, HPM has successfully adopted the concept of integrated marketing communication at the International Contemporary Art Festival of ARTJOG MMXIX.

ABSTRACTThe current adoption of financial technology (fintech) payment by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is motivated by the trend of using digital money. The purpose of this study is to test and analyze empirically the factors that influence the intention of SMEs to use fintech payments. This study uses a quantitative method by distributing surveys to 94 MSMEs in the Magelang using convenience sampling technique. The test results with SEM-PLS show that the perceived usefulness and the perception of trust have an effect on attitudes. Risk perception and trust affect the intention to use fintech payment. Meanwhile, for ease of use, perception and risk perception have no effect on attitudes and perceived usefulness. Attitudes have no effect on intentions to use fintech payment. Based on the calculation of the path value, the most powerful factor to influence the intention to use fintech payment is the perception of trust.Keywords: fintech payment, TAM, MSMEABSTRAKAdopsi terkini mengenai pembayaran melalui financial technology (fintech) oleh Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) dilatarbelakangi oleh tren penggunaan uang digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menyebarkan survei kepada 94 UMKM di Magelang dengan menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Hasil pengujian dengan SEM-PLS menunjukkan bahwa persepsi manfaat dan persepsi kepercayaan berpengaruh terhadap sikap. Persepsi risiko dan kepercayaan mempengaruhi niat untuk menggunakan pembayaran fintech. Sedangkan untuk kemudahan penggunaan, persepsi dan persepsi risiko tidak berpengaruh terhadap sikap dan manfaat yang dirasakan. Sikap tidak berpengaruh terhadap niat menggunakan fintech payment. Berdasarkan perhitungan path value, faktor yang paling kuat mempengaruhi niat menggunakan fintech payment adalah persepsi kepercayaan.Kata kunci: fintech payment, TAM, UMKM

The aim of this study is to find out the major challenges that hinder smooth operation of women entrepreneurs of Bangladesh. It also finds the reasons behind the success of the women entrepreneurship. Both primary and secondary data have been used to conduct the study. The questionnaire included questions about economic problems, family related issues, social constraints and other limitations faced by women entrepreneurs and the reasons behind their success. Women involved in various small and medium enterprises take on the challenge to work in a male-dominated society, competitive and complex economic and business environment. However, the identified challenges are inadequate capital, sales promotion, getting permission to start-up a business, gender discrimination, illiteracy and lack of knowledge among women, non-availability of training program and technical support, lack of managerial experience, in some cases young people make ill talk about the enterprise and so on. Personal qualities such as hard work and perseverance, management skills and marketing skills, support provided by their spouses or family are the main reasons behind the success of the women entrepreneurs. The level of participation of women in mainstream economic activities remains insufficient and the percentage of women in business is still much below than that of their male counterparts.Journal of Business and Technology (Dhaka) Vol.9(2) 2014; 27-41
