In keeping up with the development of information technology, Engineering Drawing still requires the solid base of drawing which needs to be mastered for all machinery users. Mastering Engineering drawing covers supporting knowledge to draw manually or computer assisted. Reality found, the skill of reading engineering drawing students of Vocational High School (known as SMK) Ganesha Metro was still low. It was low because their learning activity was also low. An instruction using discussion method and engineering serial pictures is a method strongly suspected able to provide more chances in developing students active role to get involved both physically and emotionally during the instructional process. It appeared that the method combined by the media was not maximized to empower students potency. The method of the research was Classroom Action Research (CAR). CAR is a research the improve teaching practice and learning achievement. It required 2 two cycles with a precycle treatment and test. The research was carried out at SMK Ganesha Metro. It involved students class XI M as many as 33. It was odd semester of Academic Year 2011/2012. The research took place for three months, from September to November 2011. It was done in accordance with time table scheduled by the school. Conclusion made by the researcher after deep analysis to data and findings. The improvement of learning activity and the skill of reading engineering drawing could be achieved through the implementation of discussion method and engineering pictures series. Series pictures were used at cycle II to facilitate students understanding toward the reading of engineering drawing, both reading and the skill of drawing. The implementation of discussion method was arranged in a sequence of starting from classroom discussion, small group discussion, and panel discussion. Some drawing assignments were given earlier to abridge the skill development and learning material mastery through self exercise. The implementation of discussion method with the sequence meant to provide wider chance for the students to understand the learning materials substance.

Using technology in language learning can develop practices for students through experiential learning, enhance student achievement, motivate students to learn more, encourage greater interaction between teachers and students and students and peers, increase authentic materials for study, escape from a single source of information, enlarge global understanding, and emphasize individual needs. The purpose of the study was to measure the perspectives of teachers regarding computer-assisted language learning (CALL) and create a better understanding of CALL. The study had 186 participants (114 female and 72 male), all of whom were K-12 teachers in the United States. The first phase of the study used exploratory factor analysis to reveal the underlying structure of a relatively large set of variables. The second phase of the study used descriptive analysis to measure perspectives and attitudes towards CALL. The results of the study highlighted that teachers have affirmative perspectives and attitudes for using technology in their classrooms. Teachers considered computer technology as a useful teaching tool that can improve ways of teaching by expanding the learning experiences of students in real and authentic contexts and offering them a variety of language inputs.

Knowledge presented by Oral History (OH) is unique in that it shares the tacit perspective, thoughts, opinions and understanding of the interviewee in its primary form. While teachers, lecturers and other education specialists have at their disposal a wide range of primary, secondary and tertiary sources upon which to relate and share or impart knowledge, OH presents a rich source of information that can improve the learning and knowledge impartation experience. The uniqueness of OH is presented in the following advantages of its use: it allows one to learn about the perspectives of individuals who might not otherwise appear in the historical record; it allows one to compensate for the digital age; one can learn different kinds of information; it provides historical actors with an opportunity to tell their own stories in their own words; and it offers a rich opportunity for human interaction. This article discusses the placement of oral history in the classroom set-up by investigating its use as a source of learning material presented by the National Archives of Zimbabwe to students in the Department of Records and Archives Management at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST). Interviews and a group discussion were used to gather data from an archivist at the National Archives of Zimbabwe, lecturers and students in the Department of Records and Archives Management at NUST, respectively. These groups were approached on the usability, uniqueness and other characteristics that support this type of knowledge about OH in a tertiary learning experience. The findings indicate several qualities that reflect the richness of OH as a teaching source material in a classroom set-up. It further points to weak areas that may be addressed where the source is considered a viable strategy for knowledge sharing and learning. The researchers present a possible model that can be used to champion the use of this rich knowledge source in classroom education at this university and in similar set-ups.
