El Centro para el Desarrollo Humano e Integral de los Universitarios –CEnDHIU– es la entidad de la Universidad  Veracruzana encargada de la “promoción de la salud y el fomento de entornos saludables” (Organización panamericana de la Salud, 1986). Mediante acciones de educación para la salud integral, servicios de salud mental, salud sexual, reproductiva, VIH, prevención de consumo de drogas lícitas e ilícitas, orientación psicopedagógica y atención personalizada a estudiantes viviendo con discapacidad. CEnDHIU contribuye a que la formación de los jóvenes no solo sea focalizada en lo técnico y profesional sino también con conciencia de la importancia de su propia salud, familia y comunidad para adquirir, durante su vida universitaria, estilos de vida saludable. Compaginar el proceso de aprendizaje con la práctica deportiva constituye para muchos universitarios un obstáculo difícil de superar. Esta situación se ve agravada con frecuencia por los escasos apoyos y la falta de orientación específica que reciben estos estudiantes, lo que les lleva en muchos casos a situaciones de fracaso o abandono. Por este motivo, el análisis de los factores que se encuentran implicados en el desarrollo de esta doble actividad constituye un marco de referencia para que los centros universitarios planifiquen acciones preventivas de asesoramiento y apoyo. Esta fue la finalidad de este estudio, llevado a cabo con una muestra de estudiantes universitarios de distintas titulaciones que practicaban deporte de alta competición, al tiempo que cursaban estudios universitarios. Se analizaron cuatro factores fundamentales: adaptación a la vida universitaria, dificultades y necesidades, apoyos y ayudas recibidas en el proceso formativo y expectativas hacia el desarrollo profesional. Se llegó a la conclusión de que era necesario contemplar en la enseñanza universitaria medidas de apoyo que permitieran armonizar la práctica deportiva con el proceso formativo.Palabras clave: Estudios y deporte; orientación al alumnado; adaptación a la vida universitaria; proyecto formativo del alumnado; atención personalizada.Abstract: Combine the learning process with sport is a difficult obstacle to overcome for many university students. This situation is usually aggravated because of the little support and the lack of specific guidance given to these students, leading them to situations of failure or dropout. For this reason, the analysis of the factors that are involved in the development of this dual activity constitutes a reference framework for university centers to plan preventive counseling and support actions. This was the main purpose of this study, conducted with a sample of university students of different degrees who practice top-level sport while were attending university. Four main factors were analyzed: adjustment to university life, difficulties and needs, support and assistance received in the training process and expectations for professional development. The conclusion reached was the need to consider in university education some support measures to integrate academic and sporting aspirations.Key words: Studies and sport; student guidance; adapting to university life; student’s formative project; personalized attention.

Debido al confinamiento se ha evidenciado un incremento de los niveles de estrés en la población que repercute directamente en su salud mental. El presente estudio propone identificar manifestaciones depresivas y diferencia de proporción en dos muestras de estudiantes universitarios en pandemia por COVID-19. Se aplicó el cuestionario auto aplicable Inventario de Depresión de Beck en un total de 82 estudiantes, previo consentimiento. De acuerdo al semestre donde se encontraban inscritos se establecieron dos muestras independientes, para identificar diferencias de proporciones de las manifestaciones depresivas. Se encontraron manifestaciones depresivas mínimas en ambas muestras independientes, 75% en segundo ciclo y 71.42% en octavo; manifestaciones depresivas leves 15% en segundo y 11.91% en octavo; depresión moderada en 10% de segundo y 4.76% de octavo; depresión severa sólo en 11.91% de octavo. Conclusión: es evidente la presencia de depresión en diferentes grados en ambas muestras, con especial atención en la severidad del grupo de octavo semestre.  Confinement has shown an increase in stress levels in the population that directly affects their mental health. The present study proposes to identify depressive manifestations and difference in proportion in two samples of university students in pandemic by COVID-19. The self-applicable Beck Depression Inventory questionnaire was applied to a total of 82 students, with prior consent. According to the semester where they were registered, two independent samples were established, to identify differences in proportions of depressive manifestations. Minimal depressive manifestations were found in both independent samples, 75% in the second cycle and 71.42% in the eighth; mild depressive manifestations 15% in the second and 11.91% in the eighth; moderate depression in 10% in the second and 4.76% in the eighth; Severe depression only at 11.91% of eighth grade. Conclusion: it is evident the presence of depression in different degrees in both samples, with special attention to the severity of the group of eighth semester.

  En la actualidad, la crisis sanitaria derivada de la aparición del COVID-19 ha repercutido de forma significativa en las vidas de la población, la cual ha experimentado muchos cambios en un espacio muy corto de tiempo. Los estudiantes universitarios son una de las poblaciones que más se han tenido que adaptar a este contexto pandémico, lo cual puede haber generado nuevas situaciones de estrés, afectando a su salud mental. El objetivo principal de este estudio es analizar los niveles de estrés académico de una muestra de estudiantes universitarios, así como identificar los principales estresores, sintomatología asociada al estrés y las estrategias de afrontamiento adoptadas por cada género. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 351 estudiantes universitarios (211 mujeres) a los que se les facilitó el Inventario Sistémico Cognoscitivista (SISCO) para el estudio del Estrés Académico adaptado al contexto de la crisis por COVID-19. Los resultados hallados mostraron diferencias significativas entre los niveles de estrés y variables relacionadas con este entre hombres y mujeres, siendo las estudiantes las que mostraron mayores niveles de estrés (t(260.077)=-4.801, p£0.01, r=0.29). Además, también se hallaron diferencias en la elección de las estrategias de afrontamiento utilizadas por hombres y mujeres. En conclusión, los resultados del presente trabajo mostraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre los niveles de estrés de los estudiantes universitarios dependiendo de su género.  Abstract. Currently, the health crisis resulting from the appearance of COVID-19 has had a significant impact on the lives of the population, which has undergone many changes in a very short space of time. University students are one of the populations that have had to adapt the most to this pandemic context, which may have generated new stressful situations, affecting their mental health. Therefore, the main objective of this study was to analyse the levels of academic stress in this population, as well as to identify the main stressors, symptomatology associated with stress and the coping strategies adopted by each gender. The total study sample consisted of 351 university students (211 women) who were provided with the Systemic Cognitive Inventory for the Study of Academic Stress (SISCO) adapted to the context of the crisis by COVID-19. The results showed significant differences in stress levels and stress-related variables between men and women, with female students showing higher levels of stress (t(260.077)=-4.801, p£0.01, r=0.29). In addition, differences were also found between in the election of the coping strategies used by men and women. In conclusion, the results of the present study showed statistically significant differences between the stress levels of university students depending on their gender. Furthermore, the main stressors, stress-associated symptomatology and coping strategies adopted by each gender were identified.

El confinamiento por la COVID-19 ha ocasionado diversos cambios sociales, pero se desconoce su impacto en el autoconcepto físico. El presente trabajo tuvo por objetivo analizar la percepción del autoconcepto físico en estudiantes universitarios en tiempos de confinamiento por COVID-19. Se aplicó el cuestionario de autoconcepto físico Physical Self Questionnaire a estudiantes universitarios. Para la selección de la muestra se utilizó el procedimiento de muestreo aleatorio estratificado con un nivel de confianza al 99% y un margen de error al 5%, para un total de 499 universitarios de Bogotá, Colombia. El instrumento obtuvo valores aceptables de alfa de Cronbach a nivel general (.943) y por dimensiones. En la percepción del autoconcepto físico a nivel general y por dimensiones los hombres obtuvieron mejores puntuaciones que las mujeres. A su vez, los estudiantes de estratos socioeconómicos más altos presentan menores puntuaciones que los de estratos más bajos. Respecto a la edad, aquellos universitarios de mayor edad presentan menores puntuaciones en autoestima, fuerza muscular, condición física y competencia percibida. Es importante dentro de las universidades la implementación de programas de intervención dirigidas a la promoción de la salud mental relacionadas con el autoconcepto físico, la imagen corporal, la autoestima, además de otros aspectos de la salud mental y física que pueden estar siendo afectados por el confinamiento COVID-19. Confinement by COVID-19 has led to various social changes, but its impact on physical self-concept is unknown. The purpose of this work was to analyze the perception of physical self-concept in university students in times of confinement due to Covid-19. The Physical Self Questionnaire was applied to university students. For the selection of the sample the stratified random sampling procedure, for a total of 499 university students from Bogotá, Colombia. The instrument obtained acceptable Cronbach's alpha values at the general level (.943) and by dimensions. In the perception of physical self-concept at a general level and by dimensions, men obtained better scores than women. In turn, students from higher socioeconomic strata have lower scores than those from lower strata. Regarding age, older university students present lower scores in self-esteem, muscular strength, physical condition and perceived competition. The implementation of intervention programs aimed at promoting mental health related to physical self-concept, body image, self-esteem, in addition to other aspects of mental and physical health that may be affected by the COVID-19 confinement is important within universities. O confinamento pela COVID-19 resultou em uma série de mudanças sociais, mas seu impacto sobre o autoconceito físico é desconhecido. O objetivo da investigação foi analisar a percepção do autoconceito físico em estudantes universitários em tempos de confinamento causado pelo COVID – 19. Foi aplicado o questionário de autoconceito físico Physical Self Questionnaire em estudantes universitários maiores de idade. Para a seleção da amostra foi utilizado o procedimento de amostragem aleatória estratificada, para um total de 499 estudantes universitários de Bogotá, Colômbia. O instrumento obteve valores aceitáveis de alfa de Cronbach a nível geral (.943) e por dimensões. Na percepção do autoconceito físico ao nível geral e pelas dimensões, os homens obtiveram melhores pontuações do que as mulheres. Por sua vez, os alunos de níveis socioeconômicos mais altos apresentaram pontuação menor do que os alunos de níveis mais baixos. Em relação à idade, os universitários mais velhos apresentam scores mais baixos em autoestima, forca muscular, condição física e percepção de competição. É essencial que nas universidades ocorra a implementação de programas de intervenção dirigidas a promoção da saúde mental relacionada ao autoconceito físico, imagem corporal, autoestima, além de outros aspectos da saúde mental e física que possam ser afetados por Confinamento COVID-19.

Introducción: disponer de información científica sobre sexualidad es un derecho que contribuye a alcanzar un nivel elevado de salud sexual y reproductiva. Materiales y Métodos: con el objetivo de promocionar la salud sexual y reproductiva en universitarios, se realizó una investigación de desarrollo tecnológico, en la Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo en Ecuador, utilizándose el modelo PRECEDE – PROCEDE. Las primeras fases permitieron identificar las necesidades educativas en dos grupos de estudiante, agrupados en la Facultad de Salud Pública y del resto de las facultades; a partir de ello, con participación de estudiantes pares, se diseñó y aplicó la estrategia. La evaluación se realizó mediante un estudio cuasi experimental con un diseño de antes-después con grupo control. Resultados: se identificaron deficiencias en sus conocimientos, mitos y creencias distorsionadas; se evidenció comportamientos de riesgo en su sexualidad; no se demostró que los estudiantes del área de salud tuvieran en gran magnitud, diferentes necesidades que el resto de las facultades. La estrategia educativa diseñada en correspondencia a las necesidades fue construida por jóvenes para jóvenes; contó con recursos metodológicos y materiales para fomentar la salud sexual y reproductiva. Conclusiones: la estrategia de promoción de salud, favoreció la educación sexual de los estudiantes universitarios incluidos en la investigación, al lograrse cambios en variables generadoras de conductas sexuales saludables. Introduction: Having scientific information on sexuality is a right that contributes to achieving a high level of sexual and reproductive health. Materials and Methods: With the objective of promoting sexual and reproductive health in university students; a technological development research was carried out, in the Polytechnical Superior School of Chimborazo in Ecuador, the PRECEDE - PROCEDE model was used, the first phases allowed to identify the educational needs in two groups of students grouped in: Faculty of Public Health and the rest of the faculties, based on this, with the participation of peer students, the strategy was designed and applied. The evaluation was carried out through a quasi-experimental study with a before-after design with a control group. Results: Deficiencies in their knowledge, myths and distorted beliefs were identified, risky behaviors in their sexuality were evidenced, it was not demonstrated that the students of the health area had in great magnitude, different needs than the rest of the faculties, the educational strategy designed in accordance with the needs was built by young people for young people,it had methodological and material resources to promote sexual and reproductive health. Conclusions: The health promotion strategy favored the sexual education of the university students included in the research, to be achieved changes in variables that generate healthy sexual behaviors. AbstractAutistic university students face extra challenges in both their academic and social life. Barriers to socialising appear to be less well understood and supported by universities than academic requirements. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with ten autistic university students to explore their social experiences. Questions explored their social experiences, satisfaction with social life, disclosure of ASD to others, and the impact of mental wellbeing on university life. Thematic analysis indicated most participants were unsatisfied with their social lives and experienced mental health issues. Factors exacerbating social isolation included lack of suitable social events, lack of social support and feeling unable to disclose to peers. Factors which reduced social isolation included joining an autism or special interest society and receiving social mentoring.

Abstract Over the past 25 years, there has been significant progress in increasing the recognition of, resources for, and action on adolescent health, and adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH) in particular. As with numerous other health areas, however, many of the projects that aim to improve ASRH are implemented without well-thought-out plans for evaluation. As a result, the lessons that projects learn as they encounter and address policy and programmatic challenges are often not extracted and placed in the public arena. In such cases, post-project evaluation (PPE) offers the possibility to generate learnings about what works (and does not work), to complement prospective studies of new or follow-on projects. To fill the gap in the literature and guidance on PPE, the World Health Organization developed The project has ended, but we can still learn from it! Practical guidance for conducting post-project evaluations of adolescent sexual and reproductive health projects. This article provides an overview of the guidance by outlining key methodological and contextual challenges in conducting PPE, as well as illustrative solutions for responding to them.
