The purpose of the research is to analyze the influences of social servicescape and physical servicescape on hotel image and revisiting intention in five star hotels. The design of this study is a hypothesis testing. The respondents were selected using purposive sampling method in which the questionnaires are used to collect data from 200 respondents who have visited some five star hotels in DKI Jakarta at least 1 time in a year. The proposed model was tested by using Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results of this research showed that there is a significant and positive influence of social servicescape and physical servicescape on hotel image; a significant and positive influence of hotel image, social servicescape and physical servicescape on revisiting intention. This study only used some five star hotels in DKI Jakarta and 200 respondents that limit the generalizability of the results. Future researchers should accomodate larger number of respondents and used some other Five Star Hotels in other cities. The findings of this research can help hotel managers to implement better strategies in order to increase the level of customers’ revisiting intention.

Impulse buying has several factors that effect, among others, store image and hedonic motives. This research aims to determine the effect of store image on impulse buying fruit consumers and know the effect of hedonic motives on impulse buying fruit consumers. Location determination using purposive sampling method. The type and source of data used are primary data. Data collection methods in this study used questionnaires and interviews. The sampling method uses a purposive sampling technique, with a total sample of 65 respondents. Variable measurement using a likert scale. Data analysis method used Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Square (SEM - PLS), using SmartPLS software. The results showed that there was a significant effect of store image on impulse buying fruit products. Consumer interest in a good store image makes consumers feel happy shopping and makes consumers have a good impression on a store, thus making consumers make impulse buying. showed that there was a significant influence of hedonic motives on impulse buying fruit products. The existence of internal factors that exist in consumers, especially the nature of hedonic motives can shape the perception of consumers doing impulse buying. The recommendation of this research is to develop the influence of impulse buying consumers from other factors.

Purpose This study aims to use the novel approach of applying the behavioural reasoning theory (BRT) to understand the relative influence of reason for and reason against the adoption of mobile learning applications (M-learning apps) among information technology (IT) and information technology enabled services (ITeS) employees. Design/methodology/approach This study surveys 680 employees of IT and ITeS companies in India to examine the adoption of M-learning apps for learning using the BRT and the primary data analysis was done using the partial least squares-structural equation modelling technique. Findings It is found that the context-specific adoption factors for M-learning apps are hedonic motivation, self-efficacy, learning autonomy, ubiquitous and relative advantage, whereas the reasons against adoption of the M-learning apps are traditional barrier, usage barrier and image barrier. It is also found that values of openness to change positively affect the reasons for adoption and do not significantly affect reasons against adoption of M-learning. Values of openness to change affect the attitude towards M-learning apps and attitude affects the adoption intention of M-learning apps for learning. Research/limitations/implications This cross-sectional study was conducted only in the Indian IT/ITeS firms and future research can be conducted in other sectors and countries to generalize the results. Practical implications This research uniquely highlights the adoption factors both for and against, which should be considered while developing marketing strategies for M-learning apps’ adoption. It is imperative for training managers to consider these factors during the selection of M-learning apps and for designers while designing the M-learning apps. Originality/value This study provides new insights towards the use of mobile apps for learning with the employees’ perspective using the BRT theory and it highlights the reason for adoption and reason against adoption of M-learning apps.

Abstract. Previous research established that an independent construal of the self is associated with higher self-esteem, which, in turn, is associated with increased happiness. Regarding the directionality of these relationships, theoretical arguments have suggested that self-construal precedes self-esteem and that self-esteem precedes happiness. However, most research in this area is cross-sectional, thus limiting any conclusions about directionality. The present study tested these relationships in 101 Romanian undergraduates using a 3-wave cross-lagged design with a 6-month time lag between every two waves. Structural equation modeling analyses revealed that self-esteem is an antecedent of both happiness and dimensions of independent self-construal (i.e., consistency vs. variability and self-expression vs. harmony). In other words, one’s positive evaluation of self-worth precedes one’s self-perception as being a happy and independent person. The findings are discussed with respect to the theoretical and practical implications, along with limitations and suggestions for future research.

Abstract: In children, caries occurs mostly at the age of 6 to 9 years. At the age of 6 years permanent molar teeth begin to erupt, therefore, they are more susceptible to caries. Moreover, at the age of 9 years, a period of mingled teeth where the number of permanent teeth and of the milk teeth are nearly the same. This study aimed to obtain the prevalence of dental caries of the first permanent molar among students of elementary schools in South Tomohon. This was a descriptive study with a cross-sectional design. The population of this study was 72 students aged 6-9 years old. Samples were obtained by using total sampling method. Primary data were obtained by examination of the teeth and mouth. The results showed that the prevalence of caries among students of elementary schools in South Tomohon was 68.1% (49 students). Based on gender, caries were most frequent among males (68.4%). Based on age, caries were most frequent among students of 8 years old (79.2%). Based on tooth element, tooth 36 had the highest incidence of caries (37.2%). Based on the severity of caries, dentine caries was the most frequent (46.51%).Keywords: dental caries, the first permanent molarAbstrak: Karies merupakan penyakit yang banyak menyerang anak-anak terutama umur 6 sampai 9 tahun. The story of African liberation struggle has, over many years, been related in a colonial and neo-colonial manner by the imperial powers, with Africa delineated as a dark continent and Europe as a civilised one. This article, therefore, strives to disrupt this oppressive narrative by painting the correct version through Ngugi's A Grain of Wheat (1967) (AGW) and Matigari (1987). Kenya is used as a microcosm of the entire Africa in these novels. Furthermore, the study is a qualitative recounting of the African liberation struggle which is underpinned by Afrocentricity as an emancipatory theoretical strand. Purposive sampling, guided by exploratory research design, was employed to select the two texts by Ngugi because of their appositeness to the study. Narrative textual analysis was used to interpret the two novels as primary data. Ngugi conscientises Africans about their African liberation history in order for them to cultivate a true African identity (Biko,1978).
