This study aims to determine the existence of meaningful contributions both partially and collectively from the interpersonal communication skills of Christian Education (CE) teachers and parental guidance to the motivation of students' CE learning. The research was conducted at Junior High School GKPI Padang Bulan. The population in this study is all Grade VII Christian students who number 61 people. The results concluded that there is a significant contribution from variable X1 (interpersonal communication skills of CE teachers) to variable Y (motivation to learn CE students). There is a significant contribution from variable X2 (parental guidance) to variable Y (student CE learning motivation). Rhitung value (0.553) (Rtabel value (0.361). The R2 determination value of the correlation calculation is 30.58%, and is meaningful, where things > ttabel (3.51 (1.701). There are contributions together from variable X1 (interpersonal communication skills of PAK teachers) and variable X2 (parental guidance) to variable Y (student PAK learning motivation). Christian education teachers need to encourage communication skills for students and fellow Teachers in various forms of formal and non-formal training in daily practice. Likewise, parents keep an eye on the frame of love in guiding the children god-given to them

A liberal arts education for Christians is about finding God’s truth; therefore, Christian students need to be educated in a broad range of subjects, including music. While a music appreciation course is thought to be about gaining knowledge of music, some music scholars have pointed out that a music curriculum should involve students in experiencing the essence of music through doing. This article discusses God’s invitation for us to music and the value of music in a liberal arts education. In addition, it looks at the integration of a praxial approach (referred to here as musicing) in a music appreciation course.

This research was started when the writer felt uneasy about cases concerning religious issues that have recently occurred in Indonesia. Either on purpose or not. Now there are a lot of certain people who become elements of a problem regarding religion in Indonesia, as well as when certain groups have liberal beliefs where they lack socialization in society. This study aims to describe the perspectives of an Islamic Education teacher and also the principle of religious diversity in schools. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. Where the researcher looks for several sources and then puts them together and in the sense that the research is meant to gather information about the status of an existing symptom. The data collection technique was done by observing, interviewing, and documenting. As well as research subjects consisting of PAI teachers, school principals, Muslim students, and Christian students. This research was conducted directly at SMPN 13 Kupang City. From the results of the research carried out, it can be concluded that the task of a teacher is not just teaching but also the teacher can provide examples and motivation that is useful for students, besides that a teacher also has an important role in the community and also religious values. We must, but we will protect it so that in the future there will be no more cases regarding religion in Indonesia

This article examines Basil Anthony Moreau’s philosophy of education, and particularly his idea of Christian education. Moreau is the founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross that has been working on education and evangelization since 1853 in different countries of the world including Bangladesh. His philosophy of education plays a significant role in guiding and running Holy Cross educational institutions across the globe. Moreau’s educational philosophy envisioned three aims for all students in Holy Cross education: to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to function in the world and the hereafter; to nurture an appreciation for individual responsibility and social connectedness to advance social justice issues; to stimulate those critical dispositions of mind and heart essential to the sustenance of a peaceful society. He had the vision to educate both the hearts and minds of Christian students to grow in Christ’s love and make the world a better place. His views on education also have inspired Holy Cross   education the pursuit of academic excellence within a family’s atmosphere that binds the student, faculty, staff, and alumni. Although Holy Cross educators did not implement the specific teaching methods of Moreau in all of their institutions, Moreau’s views laid the foundation of educational philosophy in Holy Cross education. This article aims to explore the theology of minjung. It is an accumulation and articulation of theological reflections on the political experience of Christian students, laborers, the press, professors, farmers, writers, and intellectuals as well as theologians in Korea in the 1970s. Minjung theology of Korea has been known as a branch of liberation theology. However, minjung theology was born in a special situation in Korea and has distinctive features from liberation theology. Through this research, I examine the definition, background, and characteristics of minjung theology, and attempts to research reconciliation, an important topic of modern theology, from the perspective of minjung theology. Minjung is economically poor, politically weak, socially deprived, but culturally and historically rich and powerful. Also, minjung, the poor, can think. They can do theology. There is no need for them to depend upon their oppressors to tell them what the gospel is.

This article examines the problem of spatial access for Christian students of Samudera University as experiences of minorities in Langsa, Aceh. This article argues that Aceh’s public space that is formed by religious identity, leads dichotomy of citizenship in social life. Using life story method, this article explores the problem of Christian students of Samudera University to reside in Langsa. The results show the formation of space by displaying a single identity has polarized majority-minority in public space. Finally, this article also shows that the formation of space by displaying a single identity created an imbalance space for minority, and compelling minority to create alternative space.[Artikel ini membahas persoalan akses ruang berdasarkan pengalaman mahasiswa minoritas Kristen di Universitas Samudera, Langsa, Aceh. Artikel ini berargumentasi bahwa ruang publik Aceh terbentuk oleh identitas religius yang berujung pada dikotomi kehidupan sosial penduduknya. Dengan pendekatan life story, artikel ini menjelaskan masalah yang dihadapi mahasiswa Kristen yang tinggal di Langsa, Aceh. Dalam kesimpulannya menunjukkan bahwa formasi ruang publik terbelah dan tidak seimbang antara identitas mayoritas dan minoritas, dimana identitas minoritas terdesak untuk menciptakan ruang alternatif baru.]

Abstract:Religious plurality must be interpreted as plurality and multireligiousism in the nation's life and state. This research aimed to investigate Christian students' perception and motivation to study at Muhammadiyah University in Palopo. It was qualitative research with a phenomenological approach, which was conducted at Muhammadiyah University of Palopo. Five non-Muslim students were selected based on the purposive sampling technique, and the researchers became the main instruments. Other supporting instruments were interview guidelines, observation sheets, and tape recorders. The data collection techniques used are observation, in-depth interview, and documentation. The researchers made data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions or verification in analyzing the data. The findings obtained revealed that Christian students' perception and motivation in enrolling Muhammadiyah University of Palopo was majorly affected by the support of parents, families, self-motivation, and their major at Muhammadiyah University of Palopo.Abstrak:Pluralitas agama merupakan suatu hal yang harus dimaknai sebagai kemajemukan dan multireligius dalam kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi dan motivasi mahasiswa Kristen dalam memilih Universitas Muhammadiyahdi Palopo. Pendekatan metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif yang bercorak fenomenologi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Universitas Muhammadiyah Palopo. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan yaitu 5 mahasiswa non muslim, dengan teknik pemilihan purposive sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini yaitu peneliti itu sendiri sebagai instrumen utama, adapun instrument pendukung yaitu pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi, dan tape recorder. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara mendalam (indepth interview), dan dokumentasi. Adapun analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, displaydata dan pengambilan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa Persepsi dan motivasi mahasiswa Kristen dalam memilih Universitas Muhammadiyah Palopo sebagian besar dipengaruhi oleh dukungan orang tua, keluarga, motivasi dalam diri, dan jurusan yang diinginkan ada di Universitas Muhammadiyah Palopo.

The study presents the social composition of students who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Erzsébet University in Pozsony (Bratislava) from 1918 and then after a temporary stay in Budapest, in Pécs from the autumn of 1923 until the academic year 1929/1930. The article specifically examines the output of university education, excluding students who dropped out or transferred to another institution. It presents the recruitment and mobility of the student body by statistical analysis of the religion, place of birth and father/guardian occupation of the medical graduates of the selected period. The statistical survey shows a large number of Israelites and those born in Budapest. The occupational composition of the father/guardian largely consists of three groups: public and private officials – professionals – traders and large business owners. A separate subchapter deals with the changes resulting from the numerus clausus law in the composition of medical students in Pécs, as well as the attitude of the university in Pécs and its impact on the Hungarian higher education market. The clear goal of the university management was to ensure the survival of the university by increasing the number of students. The main reason for applying numerus clausus as loosely as possible was also the fact that the number of Christian students remained low, often failing to fill in the allotted numbers. Finally, the paper presents possible further research opportunities.

The cultivation of nationalism is very important for the younger generation, including students throughout the archipelago. National pride is the basic capital to build a nation state regardless of ethnicity, language, and religion followed by high school students. This article aims to determine 1) the national perception of Christian students in Central Sulawesi, Kab. Poso; 2) and explore what factors shape the national perceptions of Christian students in the region. By using the quantitative description method, in this study the following findings were obtained: The sense of state defense from the research sample is known to be 91%, maintains the Pancasila ideology 91%, is proud of the NKRI 92%, respects the red and white flag 94%, respects differences in 99%, coexists with other tribes 98%, respects religion and beliefs 100%, congratulate 97% of different religions. Based on the data about these perceptions, it can be seen that; First, students in Poso District have positive perceptions of nationalism (nationalism). Second, students still have a vulnerable national view, especially when connected with attitudes towards the basic existence of statehood. Third, students still have a vulnerability to religious issues, where religious sentiment can be a trigger for conflict. Fourth, students still hold the view that the life of the nation and state can only be strengthened if its citizens uphold the philosophy of the nation (Pancasila) within the framework of a unitary state.

Christian students' involvement in the school Islamic programs such as wearing Muslim clothing, participating in the seven-minute Islamic sermon, and joining Islamic classes are often considered a compliance attitude. Instead, it is a process of self-adaptation because they attend a school within a Muslim majority environment.  Moreover, this camouflage represents their resistance to the school rules. This article discusses how Christian students in two state schools in Padang behave in the framework of Islamic customs. Based on the theories of Jean Baudrillard’s simulacra and James C. Scott’s resistance, the results of this study show that Christian students in two state schools in Padang tend to be obedient and interested in Islamic practices. For instance, they imitate the way Muslim students dress so that they look similar to Muslim students. This attitude pleases their Muslim teachers and fellow students. In addition, Minang people in their neighborhood also amaze and always refer to these Christian students’ attitude as a model to be followed.
